My experiences at University Village in Seattle have all been wonderful. At my last visit, store manager, Sheri, assisted me. I purchased a pair of shorts and the pocket had not been stitched properly. It was the last one of its size, so Sheri took it upon herself to take them home and personally repair them so that I could have them in time for my vacation. Now THAT is exceptional customer service!
It is a beautiful store and I have been buying their close online through Sundance catalog for many years. I am more of a farmer type of woman with a cain so I do not get dressed up to shop. The male working in the store made me feel unwelcomed! He welcomed all other people into the store but not I, even though we made eye contact. The lady working their was very kind and asked me several times if she could be of help. I will not be going back to this store, I drove 2 hours to shop here just to be ignored as others came in after me get the royal treatment. Shame on him!
Recently I found an embroidered pair of jeans in the catalog but my size was unavailable. I live about 2 1/2 hours away from the store so I called first to see if they might have the jeans. Mary Beth helped me. When the jeans werent found on the racks she looked in the display window where she found them. After disrobing the mannequin, she told me that I didnt have to drive all the way in which would have been 5 hours. She would ship them to me free and was including the 30% in store sale price. The jeans arrived in just a few days and they are perfect! Cant remember the style number, but they are by Driftwood, boot cut with light pink and blue embroidered flowers. Im 56 128lbs. and the size 27s fit like they were made for me...immediate favorites that I get compliments on every time I wear them. I dont often write reviews, but the customer service I received from Mary Beth and Anna was so wonderfully helpful that I decided to say thank you.
THE BEST CUSTOMER SERVICE EVER!! I want to give A HUGE thank you to the Store Manager, Sheri and Assitant Visual Manager, Christina for helping me navagate exchanges. How did I miss the fact that my favortie store was here in town? I needed to exchange items I purchased on line during Black Friday and Cyber Monday. Not only did Christina take the time to help me save Christmas with items in store that were on back order via the catalog, she helped me exchange a dress that I purchased via online giving me the same promotional discount I originally ordered. Christina was calm and patient with me as I panicked on the phone about what to do. I Just love her and will shop from her and Sheri going forward. I will forever call the store or drive in to purchase my items from now on. Thank you, Ladies for being the Stars of my holiday experience. Valerie
Wow... Loved the store but the treatment from the employee was very unfortunate.. Shopping today and 3 times we were approached by the man telling us where the sale racks were and how we will never see this stuff on sale, etc... Im ready to purchase a sweater for $200 (that wasnt on the sale rack mind you). I pull out the cash and this guy says, Oh are we spending our Christmas money? Hmmm.. Then hands me the change and tells me Now you have some coffee money to spend.. What the hell is that? It was inappropriate and offensive what he said and the manor in which he said it.
This is my new favorite store! I was not intending to spend money, but I was properly greeted (I hate getting harassed) and I just loved Annas jewelry she had on. I finally left after spending $800. I will be back. I felt very welcomed and the store is beautiful.

The worth service I ever had at the store Sundance in University Village!!! I was interested by some jewelries and the young woman helping me was very disrespectful with the clients and very unfriendly. She was not listening or looking in my eyes while talking to me. I asked her many times my concerns about the jewel I was interested at and she was it is the way it is in a very rude way. I tried to explain to her that the jewel had a little imperfection, obviously, but in vain. I wont go back there for sure!
Bought a beautiful ring. Everyone on the staff was friendly. Ill definitely be going back!
