Food is really good, prices were really favorable. I cant really judge the waitress cuz she was super busy but our order wasnt messed, up food was right and the bill was nice.I had to ask for real creamer which was kind of a surprise until I seen the lady next to us filling her to go plate with the creamer that I had asked for.
As always you can depend on around the clock. I have been out of the area for almost 50 years. But around the clock is still working and serving the people in the region. I grew up attending the one in hammond after band practices; moved to Dyer and raised my kids attending around the clock and returning to visit relatives and friends they are still going through the pandemic. It is good To return to an old friend.
I wish there was a way to take stars away because they would get -5 stars. This place is absolutely terrible. We took one bite of our food and had to let our waitress know we werent eating their disgusting food. You would think you would get served fresh meals but everything we had was premade and sitting under heating lamps. We ordered our food and got it less then three minutes later which I had a funny feeling something was going to be wrong. I will never recommend anyone going to this place.
Im sad how much this place has changed in the last few years, because it wasnt for the better. They took out a lot of menu options since I was here last, which made ordering the main course difficult. I mostly just wanted the lemon rice soup, but figured I would need more than just that. Ordered what is advertised as New York Strip Steak with a double order of mashed potatoes, and my date had the same. My steak was supposed to be rare. What came out was laughable and obviously not what I was expecting. I couldnt even cut through it, it was so awkward. The potatoes had no taste, and the texture of instant. The soup, as always, was phenomenal, but that was all we ate. I will say that they handled the ordeal with our meal very well, and Im very grateful for that. Ill come back, but just for the lemon rice soup.
The food was great but the service was terrible. I waited 15 minutes for the waitress to come back period I asked another waitress could she let her know I needed her and she still didnt come back to the table. I have to go find a waitress to get my check.
I normally dont like to leave negative reviews but it happens. They desperately need waiters/waitresses. Service is super slow,food was just ok & kinda slopped on a plate an given to us. Prices are definitely higher which Im fine with if the food was worth it & unfortunately this just isnt one of those places. The rolls were fresh though & the salad was cold & crisp
First and foremost let me speak about the owner!! She is the kindest woman ever. Went out of her way to accommodate me. She allowed her awesome hostess, a young man I wish I could remember his name. To help me charge my phone since I forgot my charger! We are currently in search of a home and he even helped with THAT! all the while he took excellent care of all the costumers. Thank you for reminding me what a family felt like!!
We (my husband and myself) just finished lunch at the Schererville location. The food was excellent, the service was better. Mrs. Kim worked so hard to keep everyone in her section happy. RUN DO NOT WALK TO THE NEAREST EXIT!I ordered the biscuits and gravy with sausage links and eggs with a coffee. The coffee was the best part.. the first batch of biscuits were ROCK HARD. The manager had come to ask if everything was okay and I showed him the stones I was served. He took the plate to go get a fresh batch - so no big deal. But the second batch came out and they too were just as hard. 🤦🏾♂️
A little wait but worth every minute. Food was brought right out and very good. Kim was our waitress and she was wonderful!!!! Best waitress we have had in a long time. Would definitely recommend this restaurant.
My girlfriend and I dined in here for a cozy dinner. The restaurant gives off a family vibe with a relaxing atmosphere.I ordered the Cheeseburger with French Fries and lemon rice soup.They served a basket of rolls with butter on the side right away. They were enjoyable, especially with butter! The soup was great as well and was a good size for what came with the meal.The Cheeseburger was pretty good. It was cooked alright, but the bun wasn’t the greatest. I wasn’t a fan of the large piece of lettuce and tomato either, but maybe someone else would be. The French Fries were good and that’s coming from a guy who generally doesn’t eat fries.The service was fast for the most part and our waitress got us everything we needed with a nice demeanor.Overall, I’d come back for another burger sometime soon!
Food was tasty. Service was Excellent. The food came out quickly and our waitress was able to serve all 5 of us and give us seperated checks.Haley deserves a raise! She was the best server Ive had in a while at a restaurant.
Used to be a fantastic place but the last few times I went the food was horribly messy, they put pepper on everything (couldnt even mashed potatoes 2 times because so much pepper). The lemon rice soup is nothing to rave about anymore, cant get rice pudding without a nasty sheet of cinnamon, even when you ask for no cinnamon they bury this clump of hard cinnamon topping in the bottom of the bowl. Last 2 out of 3 times we went service was very lacking. Prices went up but portions, service and quality went way down
Usually not too shabby, but tonight our service was awful.. our waitress (never checked in on us and ignored only our table after she gave our food - fries were raw (asked to cooked well/crispy), and had an odd item on my partners Reuben.. **Google needs to fix their glitches for adding pictures for these things**

One of the worse dining experiences I’ve had in this area, showed up at 6 am and wasn’t expecting much considering I’ve been here when I was younger at least a dozen times. Waitress was incredibly friendly and helpful, checked on us plenty. The older lady who sat us was quick to seat us. The food though… very very bad. I got a sandwich that I couldn’t finish, the guacamole on it was brown, the pepper jack cheese was very bad, the pancakes were bad. It’s really really hard to make bad pancakes, and they did it. The crepes my friend got were rubbery and were 100% over a day old, either that or frozen. Just bad food, not good at all. It is not expensive but i was starving to eat something after a long night, didn’t even finish 25% of my food. Solid staff though, might want to invest in either new cooks or better ingredients. I will not be back.
Service was amazing. The food was great with lots of choices and you dont leave hungry. The prices was great even for a whole cheesecake. ❤

As a Senior, they have a menu that everything on it is $6.99. The portions and choices were comparable to their regular menu. The food was wonderful. Service was great. The restaurant and restrooms were clean. Best part? Opened whenever your hungry.

I had an omelet which was good. The folks I were with enjoyed their meals too. Ive been here several times. The food and service are very consistent.
No matter how many people were in the party, they were told about ten minute wait. Real wait closer to twenty minutes. Over easy eggs had runny whites. Bottom of biscuits were like rocks. How many times must you hear sorry, we are short staffed?

The restaurant used to be 5 stars. The management or owners are now rude, we waited an hour for our food, they messed up countless times the waitress was very apologetic. I understand it was busy but after the 3rd attempt to remake the food we left. But we still had to pay for the food they messed up on. :(
Had to go back 2 times for my order . An my hot chicken fingers never buy they just poured hot sauce on it. Go to purple streer thats where the great food is and order is to exactly what you wanted
I usually get their breakfast but today I tried the orange chicken stir-fry and while I appreciated the fact that they omitted the broccoli as requested the dish overall was entirely too sweet. I had the lemon rice soup also and it did not disappoint as always! Next time I will get soup or breakfast!
$6.95 dinner which included a drink, roll, and dessert. I had the fried catfish and it was delicious. I was pleasantly surprised. This is a hidden gem. I almost didnt rate this place because I wanted it to be my secret, but it wouldnt be fair to them.

I have been around this restaurant since I was young kid. The foods great. But it pays 2.13$hr and its run down, and hurting Americas feelings. Grow up or go back to the hole you crawled out of.
The food is delicious and you get large portions...I had to take some home with me! Angie is a professional and friendly waitress, no line and no waiting. An excellent eating experience. Love it! Well be back soon.

This location of Round the clock is consistently better than the other locations. The food is very good and its always clean including the bathrooms. We just to this location yesterday and passed up a closer location because this one is that much better
Wonderful service and staff at this location of Round the Clock in Schererville. The manager George is more than affable and willing to help and his staffs always timely and courteous. A frequented spot by seniors and families alike for value meal with a wonderful cozy home feel atmosphere!
Real good food great senior menue real cheap drink and desert included nice waitress.Burgers are awesome and BIG chicken fettuccine superb the orange chicken is great too I havent eaten anything there that I didnt like the pies used to be a lot better as far as the cream pies the fruit pies are great the soups are great too. you get a whole Bowl the prices are great they even give you hot bread rolls soon as you come in no matter what you order even if youre only ordering breakfast you still get the hot rolls and then you can order and get French toast pancakes biscuits and gravy a lot of choices to go with your meal the menu is very large .We have been going there like twice a week.

Starting from entry.. my sister and I came in and the hostess originally ignored us and tended to the people behind us. We should have left then truthfully. Our waitress was new and gave us wrong info on the food but that was forgivable bc we all have been new at something. She was very nice and apologetic. She was probably the best thing out of the whole experience.The food was not very good. I had pork chop with mushroom sauce and lemon rice soup. I only had couple bites of the soup. It was very plain and mushy. My sister had the alfredo. It literally was just noodles and sauce and it tasted like it came from the worst off brand jar on the grocery shelf. It was cheap though so price wise was fine. It was just a bad experience from the beginning. Its my fault. Should have left from the start. Definitely will not be going back though.
The food here is very good and the atmosphere is friendly. Its just seems like some of the waitresses are not experienced enough. But, at least theyre friendly.
The food is always excellent. We had Martha as our server for a party of 12 and she went above and beyond to make sure we had a good dinner.
If I could give 0 i would. We were seated immediately upon walking in, no crowd, sat at the table for 10 minutes, had the waitress walk by 3 times and never took our order offered drinks or anything. Finally stood up and walked out, hostess just turned her head, not a word asking why we were leaving.

Ive always enjoyed this location me and my family but today was different and I had experienced the worse service ever. Yet the manager was so polite and apologized and even offered to let me leave with my long waited on meals in the house. I declined I will always give them another shot. With hopes that the poor service I experienced will never happen again .

OMG we are still talking about this 6 months later!!! 3 of us Seniors just happened upon the place - we were visiting the area and going back to Illinois but wanted to stop for something to eat before getting on the highway. We saw this and have good memories of Round the Clock where we live but it is not there anymore. So we stopped. What we are still talking about was the price and the food - $6.95 for seniors for anything on the menu including full dinners - soup or salad, rolls, butter, entree, sides, drink and dessert. We kept asking - is it ok if we order this? (not believing) yes, $6.95. So we all 3 ate full dinners from salad to dessert, incl drinks and got a bill of $20.85 plus tax (and tip of course) for 3. It was good too. And we kept saying no wonder everyone is moving to Indiana LOL. Will be back. Additional Visit: Went back after COVID-19 a year later. Wasnt sure if the Senior Special would still be avail. and it was! Had meatloaf and pot roast dinners with rolls, butter, diet cokes, salad with blue cheese dressing, 2 sides (mashed potatoes and peas), coconut cream and cherry pie for dessert. See new photos.

My wife and I literally got there and were about to be seated and to servers started arguing about who was going to take us! After we were sat we weren’t greeted for another about 15 minutes, we didn’t know who our server was the whole 25 minutes we have now been there for. Finally she shows her face brings 2 rolls asks us what we want to drink brings it the dips off for another 10 minutes probably would have been longer if we didn’t just decide to leave and go to bullpen instead! We didn’t even get a name and I couldn’t even tell her that I couldn’t drink my drink because it had food floating in it and MOLD in the ice from the ice machine not being clean, how do I know it was mold on the ice because I’ve seen it while working in restaurants! All I seen was servers standing and talking behind the counter this was absolutely unprofessional and just ridiculous!
This place has good deals if you go during the right time. Your visit can be good or bad depending on the waitress.

We got to visit with a friend we hadnt seen since early in the pandemic. Still safe and well distanced, great food, and great service. New thing we went ahead and got - Entrees to go for $5. We got two perch meals with one side each. Well worth the cost!

This is the go-to spot for cheap but good food and service in The Region, small snack or huge 3-course meal.The service is almost always great and they always have a spirit with them that makes them real people and not just a server. Even with bad server experiences theyve always done something to accommodate, like discounting the bill which I really appreciate. Christian T is really cool and isnt afraid to be himself; hes a great dude.The food is great and plentiful for what you pay. Plates average like $6, +/- $2. I recommend the Lemon Rice Soup and also any of their wraps. If you want breakfast get the 4 for $4 for the best deal.Ill always come back here for good comfort food.
I went in for take out and whole waiting I noticed that the place was not super clean. The wait time wasnt too bad desite the lunch hour crowd.

HORRIBLE FRONT DESK STAFF - I DO NOT RECOMMEND GOING TO THIS LOCATION! Ive been coming to this location for years and the last few visits have been horrible and disappointing. Its extremely obvious the waitresses are over their heads and overwhelmed and there is no organization or courtesy from the ladies working the front desk. Its very sad, this place used to be so great but you have lost my business for good. Id rather drive to the Highland location than come to the Schererville one. Sad.
We went there for breakfast after a long ride from a state park. The food was delicious. It was crowded, but the servers were very attentive.
Placed an order through DoorDash I called the restaurant to make sure they followed the directions when the order got delivered didn’t followed directions and one order was incomplete. I call for 10 minutes and no answer

Would rate this place a zero but they dont allow it. The NY Strip is nothing but pressed hamburger the thickness of a pancake. It was extremely disappointing bringing my fiancé and her son to dinner and seeing him get let down by this. All he wanted that night was a good steak. You WONT GET THAT HERE !!!! DONT BOTHER !!!!

We werent happy with the fact that we ordered hot chocolate and instead of other restaurants that serve hot chocolate whip whipped cream already made we were given a cup of hot water and a packet of chocolate like we could make it home!

When you pull into their parking lot, it’s always full with only a few spots left but when you go in, 9 times out of 10 you get seated right away. We frequent this restaurant probably once a month and food has always been great and service is fast.
Great food, great staff and quite family friendly. Some entrees come with desserts like apple pie and cheese cake as well. I highly recommend it!

Very disappointing visit. I was there at about 4:30 pm, not an exceptionally busy time. I was greeted and promptly seated by a host. He handed me a menu and asked for my beverage order. He delivered my beverage and said a waitress would be with me shortly. I spent quite a bit of time looking at the menu. I noticed a server talking with a couple just two tables away from mine. As I waited I looked around the area. I noticed another woman being seated by the same host. As soon as he delivered her beverage a server came by to take her order. I tried to catch this servers attention but she either didnt see me or ignored me. The first server was still talking to the same couple as before. I was disgusted by the inattentiveness of the staff went back to the host desk and let him know that I was leaving as no one was interested in taking my dinner order. Extremely poor service!
Absolutely the worst service I have ever received from any restaurant. I wish there were a way to give them negative stars or at least rate them with zero stars. This morning I ordered breakfast “to go”. I Drove all the way home just to realize that the food was extremely cold and appeared to be old. The chicken breast appeared to be dried out and old as well as the entire meal. I immediately returned to the restaurant and requested a refund. I spoke with Sandra and Margaret who seemed bothered that I had a problem with the food. They never offered an apology but instead told me that they do not offer refunds and that I would need to speak with a manager named Sarah. They took the food from me and told me to call at 2pm for Sarah. I have attempted to reach Sarah pretty much all afternoon and evening. Every time I call she has someone to tell me that she’s busy and that I should call back. I must say this is the worst customer service I’ve ever received. I’m 9 months pregnant and cannot believe I’m being treated this way by a business that I’ve contributed a great deal of money to over the years. Needless to say I will never order food with them again and I will be pursuing this matter through the Better Business Bureau as well.

My partner got pot roast and he said it tasted as bad as it looked, and it didnt look like any pot roast Ive ever seen. I lost my appetite and just got soup. Bread had a thumbprint in it, but wasnt cooked through, so ... Service was so so. Not like most round the clocks.
We love this place. Food and service is always good! Debbie was our server and she always takes care of us when we dine in. Her service is what brings us back every time.

My friend and I had about a five minute wait to be seated. Our waitress, Morgan was exceptional. Our beverages were brought to the table quickly. Our sandwiches were very good. If I could give ZERO stars I would. We ordered pancakes, waffle and french toast....got no butter, no syrup, no napkins, no silverware. Kids meals were supposed to include milk, got none. When I called the restaurant there was nothing they could do because Id ordered from door dash. IDK if it was the driver or the restaurant, but we are here from out of town and VERY disappointed. Im in a hotel room w 2 little kids and they wanted ME to come to the restaurant and pick up the extras....dude, if I wanted to pile 2 little kids in a car and drive around at dinner time, I wouldnt have paid to have it delivered. Person I spoke to at the restaurant couldnt have cared less, like she was doing me a favor to answer the phone.
The food was ok. Not what i expected.... the service was ok. She never asked if we wanted refills or even offered. The bus boy did his job ill give them that. Bread was good to that was the best part of the meal.....
