If I could give zero stars to leave this review, it would be accurate.First, when you visit this Maps page, there is a list of health precaution steps supposedly taking place here by staff. Do not be fooled. This place is a cesspool of complete ignorance by associates not following BASIC health precaution standards.At the Scan and Go area, the associate overlooking the area, I was told in Customer Service her name was Cara or Kara or Kiara- however it is spelled- this associate has no manners, nor regard for the stores health precautions.I was patiently waiting in line to check out. She approached me so quickly (a matter of seconds, like a dog) and summoned a customer as well, to be in MY PERSONAL SPACE, as if I wasnt even standing there. I do not know what they were trying to do. Apparently they were looking for a bag. When I say, they were in my face, the customer Cara was bringing over to me, nearly stepped on my feet face to face. It was absolutely ridiculous!! I kept saying EXCUSE ME and Cara responded Oh, shes not trying to cut in front of youShe had no clue about her complete ignorance and disregard for my personal space. These 2 women were so close to me they nearly knocked me over. She could have easily asked me to move over before mowing me down.I was disgusted by the rude behavior of 2 grown women and I threw my items down by Cara, told her my disgust and went to Customer Service.The associate I spoke with at Customer Service was more concerned that I said that I was mowed down by an idiot associate in Scan and Go, than the actual problem. Cara was not following company health standards or even respecting my personal space in general.I persisted and spoke to a store manager, who of course, said she would speak to Cara about what she did to me. All I can do is hope that would take place.I will not shop here. This location is out of basic control if this type of thing happens.

My grandson played there hes with the School of Rock they teach a wonderful class the kids are precious very talented and the instructor is awesome. The food is good too along with drinks.

This Walmart is located in a very busy shopping center. It is a bit bigger than our local store with a semi larger clothing selection. I was able to find 3 Sprite Zero 12pks (close to impossible to find in any form). I didnt have a cart when I found the soda, BUT a FANTASTICLY THOUGHTFUL employee(I didnt get her name) saw my dilemma & emptied the cart she had stock products in & gave it to me with a govial smile(even though she had a mask on, her smile was obvious) If this review is seen by this Walmart store (we were there @ apx 7pm) PLEASE commend the employee for her kindness❣👸🏽

This lady threw something at me and proceeded to curse me out. When I asked to speak to the manager she told me this was her store. She was extremely rude and obnoxious. I kept my cool and just kept asking for her supervisor and was refused. And was told to get the fxxx out of her store. Now Meijer’s will have my business

For a walmart its not so bad. the prices are good

We’ll stocked and clean store. Very busy at about 4 pm on a Saturday. Check out went very fast as they had plenty of cashiers, for the amount of people waiting to check out.

Unorganized and not well stocked. Hard to get help. NEVER ENOUGH CHECK OUT. Most carts are broken. This store used to be nice. The employees used to be helpful and pleasant. There are still a few good ones but you get a good one just by luck.

I go in to load my Bluebird card and also pivk things up at times.Lina is always by herself at the Customer Service desk and does an amazing job! Thank you for always being pleasent and quick!I live closer to Hammond but i prefer to come here because she is so kind!

Extremely rude and unhelpful. The store manager front end coach should be fired she has no customer service skills and instead of just telling me I needed to call walmart. Com to resolve my issue she proceeded to tell me just cancel the order and go somewhere else. I know it doesnt matter to big corporations like walmart but I will never shop there again

Member service desk needs more staff, but the personnel at the desk were very friendly and tried to work as fast as possible.

This was a different shopping experience because the shelves were basically stocked. You could get the items you were looking for.

Was in Schererville Indiana. So far this was the cleanest and most friendly WalMart Ive shopped in besides Olympia Fields, Illinois.

Depends in which you go to. Schererville is nice. But Merrillville is dirty and run down and smells badly.

Walmart was as it always is...crowded! I did find everything that I went in there for. A new yoga mat and some treats to share! I ended up doing self checkout which went pretty quickly! They have automatic entrances and the floors are marked for social distancing! As much as I dont like going there it was a quick and simple visit...maybe bcuz they were getting ready to close

Very Nice found what I Needed very well.

The service has gone way down. Employees called off? Short staffed? Shelves understocked. Besides they are trying to have people do self check-out to eliminate cashiers. The cashier that we had was very efficient and polite despite the long lines.

Nice workers if u need something u cant find just ask & they will point u the the right direction only bad thing sometimes u have to wait in line to get checked out along with the self check out no longer than 3 minutes waiting time

The staff is always helpful and attentive. Too bad management wont open up more checkout lanes. Lines wrapped around each other. We dont like the diy checkout now that it wont take cash. Some of us use cash. Dont give us the BS about a coin shortage....never seen a shortage except at Walmart.

Store is nice..but the curbside pickup kinda sucks... only 2 designated spots...

I waited 45 minutes plus for my curbside pick up order. No one even came out to assist me. And when I called I did speak to someone, and she was very nice, but I still ended up waiting in the parking lot and now on hold as well. Bad communication between employees.

It was clean and pretty organized. Found what I was looking for just not alot of it. For instance the shorts I wanted only one color in my size etc.

I put in an online order on Thursday for school supplies to pick up for my daughter on Sunday at 8am. I went to Walmart on Sunday morning at 730am and waited until 8am. They then told me my order was canceled and someone should of called me. No one called me then the next day I get a email saying my order was ready. Definitely poor staffing here at the scherville Walmart.

Got what I needed and easy checkout. Employee at self checkout was nice too. Dont care for customers who have decided they dont need masks or think a mask worn under their nose or chin is sufficient protection...wish they would enforce that a little more but its the companys choice to still serve the people and put their unvaccinated employees and customers at risk.

My favorite Walmart to go to is in Schererville, Indiana. Always kind, courteous,and clean.

Love hate relationship. Good prices. Displays and aisles sometimes torn up. Lines long as hell. But what else is new.

Walmart new look is terribly disappointing. It looks like an old warehouse and lots of the aisles are too small to get 2 carts going the opposite direction through. The workers talk loud and curse without giving it a thought of who is around. This Walmart has gone way down in personnel behavior and just in general. It looks as if it belongs in the ghetto. Never do they open a register no matter how many people are in line. What a shame. Time to switch to Targets.

Oh Im there all the time. Its like a second home. I just get and go. My grandson favorite is Ms. Alicia at the Homewood location.

Dmaller walmart with plenty of waits and limited cashiers. Must have time on your hands at this location. Not only located in a very congested area but also after finding your items you will also wait in lines to check out....needs much work upfront getting people moving lines faster here.

Clothing department was very unorganized. Clothes were everywhere. They also dont have a food section.

This was my first curbside pickup & the young lady who I spoke with when I called & who brought out my items was fantastic.Thank you for a lovely experience!

Understocked empty shelves long lines only 2 cashiers open. This was a great walmart. Bringing in true clothing and sizes are so wrong. Clothes are bigger and over sized and cheap quality. I am so disappointed in walmart.

Pretty good place in the back help me with some clearance items and she worked in the electronics help me out very well help my whole family out loved it I will go ahead and recommend it take to go here at the cash register at the front that I went to not good customer service had no problem.

Was a quick in and out to send birthday, gifts to relatives down south. Service desk wasnt backed up. It went quick and smoothly.

This particular experience was okay. Was packed up though. I am not sure if that is normal because I do not reside in the Schereville area. This store location was very clean and orderly unlike the Hammond store location. Been going to this location a couple of times with my mother and this store location will be a permanent one. Keep up the good work!

Had my vaccine shot here. They were organized and it went smoothly. Checked in at the pharmacy then headed to the front of the store near service where they created a private area to give people their shots.

The only reason this is a one is because purchased a warranty on a product and was offered to fix at a repair shop pay for it then they will refund me or take a cash options for less then what I paid. There warranty on items sucks. Not worth paying for.

It’s one star because I’m required to pick a star otherwise they wouldn’t receive a star. Is it possible to give negative stars?! This is one of the worst locations I’ve EVER visited! The door by the pharmacy is ALWAYS “out of order”. I mean how does a multi-billion dollar company not have the means to fix a door and provide adequate employees.There were no carts. There were really long lines to check out in scan yourself, and only 3 lanes with cashiers that had long lines. The majority of the shelves were bare and the rest were mis tagged and disorganized. It looked like they were trying to stock some things but had pallets blocking product and blocking aisles (fire hazard and limiting handicap patrons style). The 2 employees I did find to help were less than helpful and snotty. When problems are brought to managements attention they play pass the buck, don’t care and don’t have any solutions as if they can’t think for themselves to fix small issues. This store is complete trash. I Prefer to go ANYWHERE but here!

The prices are awesome. The variety is awesome. The staff are chill! No one hovers over my children and I while we shop (its a lot of us). I love it!!!

The store has is on the way up. Over the past year the stores cleanliness and stock levels have improved. Not my first choice of discount stores but with the recent improvements it is worth stopping in to see what they have available.

One cadhier in back on Saturday and Sunday, line all the way down the aisle slmost to back of store. Ridiculous.......Manager needs to be replaced.

What they did to this store is HORRIBLETook away all the cashiers and made a darn corral to scan and pay yourself, way too many people for thatNo lines, just a horrible crowd of people all in a bunch trying to figure out who goes next!!! Big mistake, only two cashiers, ugh

My shopping was great. The people at Sherville Indiana are always so kind and helpful. But they do the best to stop theft of others looking for the opportunity. I purchased a 10 pack Dream Water for sleep but when I got home, there was only 5 packs inside. My fault I should have checked. But they could place a piece of clear tape on the opening. They need to go check the other boxes, they might be short.

Once again sadly disappointed at the criminally negligent management at this specific Walmart in Schererville.The sporting goods department never has anyone working the counter, even after a Walmart employee called for help. I waited 10 minutes and no one showed up.I did jumping jacks in front of the security camera, shrugged my shoulders, did a mime of calling somebody to get me help and still nothing.If you stand in the sporting goods department you can hear Sam Walton rolling over in his grave. Lack of standards!The customer service of 1990 is no more.My goal in life is to live long enough to see Walmart go bankrupt just like Kmart did.
