Have not had an opportunity to get to Newest lunch, by chance was able to go today! OMG, this place is still number 1 in food! We had to wait a bit, but it was well worth the wait🙂You didn’t let us down. By far the best in food in this area!

Ive been coming to Newest with my family for over 20 years. This is my ultimate comfort food place. The dogs, burgers, and meat sauce are so, so good. The pasta salad and fries are also very good. Ive never had anything here I dont like. Looking at it from the outside youd never know youre about to hit the jackpot. The seating area is on the small side but the service has always been great.

Got the souvlaki. Last after everyone else was eating and one person even finished their lunch. Tziki sauce was bad. It was blander than mayo.

Always great food. The atmosphere has changed since the old-timers have retired or passed away but the food is still good

I love this historic spot, with its vintage feeling atmosphere... Its my favourite breakfast spot in the city, and I always get their all beef hotdogs, all the way (onions, mustard, and their famous meat sauce)...

The best newest lunch Ive ever been to

Been going to Newest Lunch for over 55 years. They have the BEST hotdogs in the Capital District, and we cant forget Uncles famous cheesecake. We have breakfast there at least twice a month, the staff is super friendly, all in all a great place to go to relax and enjoy a great meal.

My aunt raved about this place so my mom and I decided to try it out. It was very good. The booths are a bit small. I ordered a couple hot dogs for my son and pancakes for myself. We had a nice meal.

Awesome, vintage hot dog restaurant. Staff very friendly and accommodating. Best meat sauce around, period! Fresh soups and sides. Food made to order as requested. A little outdated but homey and pleasant. Not a high end, reservation only place but, a must try.

Great diner. Nice atmosphere. Very busy so they might forget to put your order in so dont wait 20 minutes at the counter like I did. Just speak up after 5 minutes. They dont bite.

Diamond in the rough. Competitive prices and great food have brought locals here for decades. Meat sauce has a depth of flavor that will have you guessing at the recipe. Order two dogs all the way with a side of onion rings, or absolutely anything on the breakfast menu.

I LOVE the hot dogs! I’ve tried their breakfast and it was great. If you want to try something ask for two hot dogs with everything plus cheese. The service is fast and the place is always packed but you can always order to go.

Fries weren’t hot or even slightly seasoned. Hot dogs were ok but not cooked through and the meat sauce is way overrated.

My parents are visiting from arizona and they wanted to go have pancakes, we took them and they thought they were the best. My mother eats very little however almost all the pancakes were gone. Thank you all at Newest for making such a wonderful breakfast and being so good to my parents.

Where do I even start? I dont even really think its a question of who has the best hot dogs in Schenectady. They blow Mikes out of the water. Their other food is really good too. The onion rings and fries are solid. The Buffalo chicken sub is a winner! If I was getting lunch in Schenectady this would be one of my few places that I would have to choose from.
