This store had quite a few things I needed at affordable prices. Some aisles were narrow but the store is easy to navigate. Cashier was friendly. I am happy with my purchases and I will go back again.

I ordered for pick-up, but I also needed to get some items. The girl at customer was very nice, said she would have my order waiting at the service desk. She was right there when I checked out and even helped get the items in my car.

Good variety of products. Lots of seasonal items at good prices. When they have seasonal items marked down, great bargains. Nice staff, pleasant.

Im at an OSJL at least three times a month. I am on a fixed income and find decent items throughout their many departments that I can afford. The staff is helpful and the stores are neat and organized. The selection of foods is very interesting and they carry my favorite Polish dill pickles..Belveder.

So I had the opportunity to visit job lot in NC, whats going on with this particular store in Schenectady! Is this the all returns and clearance store? Arent they the same company? We definitely deserve better quality.

As a kid, every time we went to visit family in Massachusetts/Rhode Island, we always stopped here.... Now that theyre in the area, its always a fun adventure to see what youll find here! Great store with a very friendly staff!

Great prices on a wide variety of things. I chiefly go for the food items and toiletries. In addition to very cheap prices, they often have unusual and interesting things no usually found in supermarkets.

The store is very run down. I wasnt expecting it to be a palace but it seemed like the upkeep is not being done.No seasonal items to speak of which was the reason for our visit, this was very disappointing.Decided to try our luck with some pet toys, which were low in stock. We did find some however.One cashier for a bunch of people, a number of cashiers standing around. They did ultimately try to get another register going but there was a lot of confusion here. They directed us to a register that was not open and another gentleman who had unloaded his cart on the counter was told the register was closed despite the light being on (I was second in line behind him, he wouldnt go in front of me so we accepted his kind offer to go in front of him).I will not be going back.

I usually shop here for the good deals, I picked up K cup coffee they had the best deal around, did a lot of research they are the best for this deal.

Wide variety of things indoor and out. Household necessities and family fun stuff as well. Camping stuff, tents, tikis, and even got a food section. (But I do not food shop here) Worth a visit though . Great prices!!

Sometimes there are lots of things to buy, other times it seems like seasonal changes lots of rearranging.

The one on Albany is better.Because they are nicer and friendly.Good customer care is important.

I usually go there at least a couple of times a month. Its close by. I like some of their food items that I cant find anywhere else. They also have nice, heavy plastic rectangular storage bins. The biggest ones fit my DVDs and books quite nicely on my shelves!!! I just havent been able to find any of that kind of plastic bin lately. I hope they get them back in soon, although my girlfriend believes that they wont!!! I hope that shes wrong!!! Check OSJL...you never know what you will find. And when you do find something...youll want to go back!!!

Went for 2 reclineing chairs and got them easy I wish they had help to get them but we managed to get them in the carts

The Ocean State Job Lot offers many pantry items, including brands and gourmet products not usually offered in local grocery stores. They also have a great selection of seasonal and household items. They have great promos on a variety of furnishings, health & beauty, office & artists supplies, clothing, sporting goods and yard care products. I was assisted by a friendly associate who took the effort to walk me to the other side of the store to find an item I asked about. She was new and unfamiliar with product and location, but readily offered her help to the best of her ability. Even though I often shop here, I dont know where they will display certain seasonal and sale items. Help and friendliness are always welcome.

Only problem was in checkout.One person had to be called toFigure out pricing,took 5 minutes,people on line frustrated.Otherwise good prices on stuff in store

This store has a very wide variety of affordable items. It feels a bit cramped but only because of the abundance of merchandise available. Always at reasonable prices. Often more reasonable than other similar stores in the area.

To answer your Q, the cashier blatantly lied to me to get me to signup for the Insiders Card. Said there was a Crazy Deal on the batteries I was buying. When I didnt get anything I asked her and she tried to say she meant a crazy sale. Reg#1, Cashier 72891 according to receipt. I didnt have the patience that day, so I left.

Ordered a pool. Two sales reps we dealt with were wonderful! We thank them for being so helpful and nice.

Very friendly, helpful staff. I go to get all my spices, and unique food items. They have great bedding, curtains, and rugs too. Every spring, I get all my seeds, and gardening items, and they have a great selection of BBQ and picnic items- skewers, fry baskets, tablecloths, etc....I stop in every couple of weeks to see whats new.

Love that they carry strathmore paper. Wish you guys carried the toned strathmore paper though. But I always find something here.

I shop in the Schenectady location and its always a lovely experience I was just there last week and the area supervisor by the name of shelia was such a delight she help me find all my needs even talk me into signing up for the insider card which I brought some items and got a free crazy deal card I couldnt. Believe it she was very patient and knowledgeable of all the items in the store I enjoy anytime in the store

So much to browse. Fun to amble through the aisles imagining how you might use this or that. Also feels good to leave having bought absolutely nothing.

This location is much bigger than the Albany store. Its clean, bright and well stocked. I do prefer Albany over Schdy, but thats just my preference.

A dangerous place -- I go there for one thing, come out with a dozen. Prices are VERY competitive. Nice food section -- cookies & crackers, every Red Mill baking product, good selection of coffee & tea &c.. Good for housewares. Good for some kinds of sports clothing. Too much to really detail here; you need to go and look, also sign up for the loyalty card or check the net on your own to see the weekly specials. Staff is generally cordial and helpful. The feel is informal.

Very much cluttered, hard to find what your looking for as things are scattered about the store. Employee we had was very rude, as she not only was taking a phone call (sounded as if it was personal) but when we were through she threw the receipt at us! Probably would only go back if necessary or if they had something I really wanted or needed at a lower cost than other bigger box stores

Pure customer service I asked for help to fold the carpet with me a inside the store but they refused to do and said we can’t help you to fold the carpet with you and it’s shame for the management of the business I drove 25 mile to come to this store and this is how the employees respond while I need there help

This is a great discount store. Ive found high-end store brands and designer brand clothing and accessories at great prices. They have groceries, cosmetics, furniture, rugs, appliances... and low prices. The stock changes quickly so you probably wont find the same things every time but its worth going.

Good quality fair priced pool chemicals and a variety of outdoor stuff a little of everything usually in and out and have no problems with customer service

They advertised in the store 40% off if you purchase $30 or more, so we bought a lot... Turns out they give you a card with the 40% amount - so now I have to return to the store an hour and a half away to take advantage of that discount...
