I bought a used Toyota Tacoma from Adam and 3 weeks later the engine light came on. I took it straight to a Toyota Dealer in Kingston and they informed me the gas tank was completely rotted out, it had been leaking gas for awhile, and was unsafe to drive. When I called Adam about it he didnt want to discuss repairing it until I received a 2nd opinion. I did and they confirmed what Toyota had said - it was a rotted out gas tank, old issue, and unsafe to drive. (Both put it in writing). Also My girlfriend and I noticed gas leaking from the tank the first day we bought the truck - I figured I had just over-filled it (Im not a car guy).After that it was hard to get a hold of Adam and when I did he outright refused to cover the repairs saying it was past its warranty etc. - but I informed him he was violating the Safe Car law which requires dealerships to not only inspect their cars but ensure they are safe for their consumers to drive. He still refused and I am now in the process of taking him to Small Claims to recoup the $1900+ it cost to repair/replace the gas tank. I would strongly recommend against purchasing a car from here - unless you have it fully inspected before hand.
