I tried to bring my 2015 Toyota Highlander in to sell to them I cleared the balance I needed to clear with my loan company. Their used car sales manager was rude and had an aggressive tone to him. He basically tried to help but same time tried screwing me. I told the guy sorry you can’t tell me about a conversation I had with my loan company and he didn’t need to be such a d*** towards me about the whole process. He tossed his papers at me and refused to finish the transaction. I get I was rude but he was being very very rude first. Not just today but yesterday as well when I came in. I got very loud asking for whoever was in charge of him because I was upset but the GM was not present. I called apologized to the receptionists because they didn’t deserve to be yelled at but he was a real jerk
Very friendly staff. As all dealerships do, they let you know what you vehicle is due for service. I asked them to put the findings on the receipt so I can accomplish them later and they were happy to oblige . No pressure.
Today I had a great experience at Lia car sales which forced me to write this review. I was attended by a gentleman called Andrew Small, and his friendly approach, knowledge, genuine attempt to help impressed me a lot and I don’t think I ever had this type of experience in past that to when i didn’t get what I was looking for due to production delays. I can only say that he is a credit to Lia!!!
So when you get there they ask you what youre looking for. I was very specific as I dont go to buy anything, especially a $35 thousand truck without knowing what I want.This information was put into the computer and I was told to sit and wait. Just over 30 minutes later we get help, fr someone thats not evening sales.After going into the system, he tells me the truck the website says is there, that I want, is not there. It is on order and will be there in a month.They have no truck stock but one new one that is sold and one used thats nothing like the model I want.If this is how Toyota runs their dealerships, I will most likely go with a completely different brand. I certainly will not be ever giving a dime to a Lia dealership, ever.
My wife and I went in to look at a used truck. I have bought 4 other cars at this exact location within the last 6 years. Today was the last time I will ever step foot or spend another dollar in that dealership again due to their finance rep Aaron Tice. Ill start by detailing our experience with Joseph the sales rep, he was using strong language to influence a purchase and to speed up the process, I understand that is a part of being a car sales person but it comes off as pushy and selfish. I had told him I was going to think about my options and get back to him. I even put a deposit down on the car so that he knew I was serious but needed time to think. At that time he backed off and brought in Aaron Tice. Aaron went over the same questions with us and then he started collecting information from me. Once I realized he was trying to run my credit I told him Hard no (my actual words) He assured me he was just collecting info for his notes. I was hesitant but figured he wouldnt lie about something like that. I told him no less than 5 times I did not consent to them pulling any type of credit at all for ANY reason. He confirmed he understood and hit submit anyways. It said thank you for your loan application. I said what is this Aaron?? you just told me this wasnt a credit app you lied to me!! he said oh dont worry thats not a credit app about half hour later I got a notification from my credit tracker that Lia Toyota ran a hard inquiry that will stay on my credit until august 2023. I called Aaron immediately and he denied even running it!! WHAT?!? So I drove immediately back to show him and he said I take full responsibility, Im sorry but do you still want the truck at this point I was fuming. He follows up with Well what did it do to your score that you are upset with? and I reminded him that it is ILLEGAL to run someones credit without their consent and he said it was all his fault. I told him I would be contacting my lawyers and the BBB for this! This is insane! on top of that he was reluctant to even give my deposit back!! This man has no business working in this dealership, he represents the brand and if thats who they employ I will never spend money there again. I submitted with the BBB and I intend to pursue legal avenues as well. Unbelievable.
Lia Toyota of Colonie was GREAT AS ALWAYS!! Kodey Stanley has been PHENOMENAL and AMAZING taking care of me and keeping me updated on my vehicle. Am GRATEFUL AND APPRECIATIVE to him!! He is a saint!!
The service was quick, professional & cheap. I gave it 2 stars because I ordered 2 bolts specifically for my vehicle, put them on my vehicle and they gouged 2mm out of the back of my brand new rotor.

I bought a car from Lia. They promised me 0.9% interest financing, but actually gave me a loan for 4.54%. They also added $2000 onto the loan more than the actual price of the car. They are scam artists. Do not buy from them.
We were on vacation and our Camry got a flat tire - the closest Toyota dealership is Lia Toyota of Colonie, NY (2116 Central Ave, Schenectady, NY). We booked a regular maintenance service at the same time that we made a service request for the tire at Lia. We received a call the day of the service telling us that it would take 24 hours to replace the tire because it was not in stock. My wife inquired as to the availability of a loaner car for the evening and was told the only option was to rent a car. She expressed dismay because she knew that loaner cars had been provided in similar situations in the past (e.g., where the car was kept longer due to a dealer issue). The only response was “So I guess you don’t want me to order the tire?” Which would mean that she would have pick up the car without the new tire. She replied that she needed the tire fixed so she would leave it with Lia - to which the response was “Well we won’t be charging you to store it overnight.” Both of these comments were highly inappropriate and, in our opinion, would not have been made if she were a man in the same circumstances. To make matters worse, when she picked the car up the next day, the scheduled maintenance had not been performed (they apparently overlooked it somehow) which means that we now have to make yet another trip to a dealership (not Lia).We have never had such unprofessional, misogynistic and incompetent treatment from any Toyota dealer anywhere (and we have used dealerships in Berkeley, CA, Chicago, IL, Arlington, VA and Rochester, NY).
Service advisor Justin needs to be more attentive to customer invoicing. I had to help him figure out what 10% of a total invoice amount was....in my opinion he does not feel he needs to be responsible for auditing his figures before providing invoice/billing to cashier for customer check out. I would be happy to discuss if management at Lia Toyota of Colonie is interested in details of interaction.

I had a wonderful experience purchasing a new Toyota Prius Prime XLE from John Koerber at Lia Toyota of Colonie. John is no-pressure, trustworthy person with quick and clear communication (email, text and in-person). He came to pick me up at local airport as I traveled all the way from Philadelphia, PA to Albany, NY. Whole buying experience was quick and painless as the dealership made the process really easy. No games - final price was exactly as negotiated over the phone (no last-minute surprises). I am not new to Priuses as I own 2006 model. John explained to me 2021 Prius Prime new features: driving in EV mode, charging, lane assist, dynamic cruise control, apps, etc. John Koerber is a great salesperson that really knows his cars well and I hope to send more business his way.

Incompetence! 2.5 hours for routine maintenance with a prescheduled appointment is shameful. My service here gets worse every visit.
I had forgotten why I stopped coming here, unfortunately for me. An 11:15 appointment booked online for a $80 maintanence package that was listed on line (that was actually $120) plus wipers to pass inspection…cost $165 (with a discount) and I got my car back at 1:35. Not going back. Ever!

Amazing customer service, great job fixing my 05 Prius. The day after I got it back, I had some issues but they werent very helpful... it worked itself out after a day but was still very frustrating considering how much time and money went into the repairs

Pricing to replace bulbs is crazy and they lied about the math. I challenged them on it but many people wont. This is a 1-star review except they worked with me.Talking to friends and co-workers, everyone who has used Lia Toyota has a questionable or bad story. (new problem after service, work not done at all, unwilling to honor/match online deals in person)If youre not made of money, avoid this service center.

Brought my vehicle to get recalls fixed. Got a phone call that my transmission fluid is dangerously low and a seal is broken (its there for 2 recalls that have nothing to do with the transmission so I dont know why they even looked at it) told me it would be almost $1000 to fix it. Told them just do the recalls and Id talk to my husband about doing the rest another time. Went to pick up my car and they had the wrong name, address and plate number on my paperwork but had the right VIN and phone number. Then told me my car was in spot 48 but was actually 3 rows in front of that. Left white stuff on the inside of my doors from whatever they did for the seatbelt recall (have a picture but dont know how to add it on here). Oh and my husband checked the transmission fluid and its fine. Im not sure who is running the circus there and trying to scam people but its ridiculous.

I dont have any complaints about the quality of the service. My big complaint is the strong sell I get every time for unnecessary services. One example is they wanted approximately $250 to clean my fuel injectors. Initially they wouldnt tell me what they were planning to do (no service is called for in the service manual). Finally, after much persistence I found out that they were just going to add an additive to the gas. Thats only one of many examples.
They were great! I had a low tire that needed to be fixed and they fit me in right away. Turned out I had a road hazard warranty on the tires that I previously bought from a Toyota dealership and the one tire was replaced!
Sales team is great. Service can be a bit slow but they do a great job and are very accommodating.. The front desk when you walk in is garbage. Every time I walk in they either pretend I didnt just walk in or stare at me for a few uncomfortable minutes before asking why I am there. Typically this would cause me to walk out of any place but we have bought 4 cars here in the last year because or the sales team and the service after purchase.

I had a manufacturer recall notice for my 2008 Chrysler Aspen, called them for an appointment which they were happy to help me out with. My airbags were checked and replaced.they also found and fixed a problem with the sound/video system and were able to get a problem with the rear hatch diagnosed, and order the needed part for a permanent solution. They completed all of this in just a few hours. I would highly recommend them to anyone who asks.

Wether its your first time or 50th time.You drive up to the bay, the let you in.. you are ushered to one of the desks ... A person takes your information. You get out of car and are encouraged to go to the various relaxation areas and get coffee or tea.. donuts or fruit.There is a business area by to work with your laptop, coach to it and watch TV.

Another thing that Google sends out when you have never been there. Every time I stop next to a bus stop for someone from home to be dropped off to get on the bus or who is getting off the bus and needs a ride and anyone who stops in that area is sent out for a service call on whichever one of the five kinds of cars that they sell about a quarter of a mile away on the other end of a parking spot. There is no way to make that apparent to Google either.

Went in to get recalls done on my wifes car and when we went to pick it up, the outside was washed, but, the carpeting and insulation on the passengers side was pulled and left out. Not happy with how it was left. Not to mention the mechanical staff were not friendly at all.
