5 stars. After being belittled by a horrible dealer in New Jersey, I found another Alfa Romeo Giulia for sale at Wedekind. I was ready to buy same day so I gave them a call and told them I was very interested and that I could pick it up same day. I spoke with Felice, he was so amazing and so easy to deal with. I was looking for a reasonably priced used car at this location. I live in Syracuse and they are in Schenectady so everything started over email. I had spoken with Dave which constantly had to talk to his manager Art Marotta and couldnt do anything himself. I was also speaking with Dave over email and he couldnt write a correct sentence with punctuation which says a lot for a sales consultant doing Internet Sales and professionalism. I spoke with Art after I got passed over because Dave was off that day. I was trying to get a better price with Art and I showed him multiple other dealerships offering better pricing. He said to show him pictures which I did and then he went to say THEN I ASSUME YOU WILL GO WITH THEIR DEAL are you not in business to sell your cars and not steer people away to other dealerships. That sounds like a terrible Internet/Sales Manager to me acting passive aggressive and not being able to handle customers so long story short apparently the car sold a day later, he also never told me it had sold, and could have been any easy sale. I then went to call him on the phone to speak with him further and blocked me from speaking to the Owner Ed for his performance and also the car isnt actually sold just because our interaction he wasnt willing to sell to me. So I guess they arent into customer service they are into being order takers go in find a car pay their price and its fine anything above that it seems they simply cant handle it. Period.

Terrible experience. I purchased a used car here the end of December. Bought an extended warranty and then decided I drive far more mileage then it was worth on a used vehicle. I quickly cancelled on Dec 7th. 7 days after purchase. A few days later I begin to have problems with my car so I return to the dealership. Let me mention here I am STILL covered under powertrain warranty. It takes them a week to figure out whats wrong, trying to blame a water bottle rolling around the backseat. Now, I am no car guru but I can clearly tell the difference between a major mechanical issue and a WATER BOTTLE ! They figure out whats wrong, a bad rear differential. I say to them, I have cancelled my extended warranty, are you going to cover this on my powertrain ? The service manager says yes, of course, it is covered. So, I dont think anything of it. On January 15th, I call my lien holder to acquire my remaining balance. My extended warranty was never cancelled. That was almost 6 weeks ago! I have copies of the cancellation request dating to Dec 7th with both our signatures on it. So, I call the dealership today and am told, they NEVER cancelled it and decided to use it WITHOUT my authorization or knowledge when I brought my car in for service WHICH LET ME REITERATE WAS AFTER CANCELLATION ON THE 7TH. James, the finance guy told me, Oh, it was a courtesy so you didnt have to pay. Something seems highly illegal about this. And, I was still covered under my powertrain warranty, they just didnt want to lose money because they sold me a broken car. Oh and want to know the icing on top ? They sent my paperwork to DMV for my title and registration with my first name spelled WRONG ! Do not use these people. Save yourself the hassle. I will be prosecuting further unless this is fixed immediately.

I was looking for a used suv I called spoke to salesman explained my needs but also my credit situation ( not very good) they proceeded to have me full out and all which goes against my credit while they know Im trying to rebuild. I got one call back saying the one vehicle discussed wouldnt work but the salesman was sure he could find a vehicle that would work.....fast fwd two weeks later I havent heard a word, and that is fine because In that time another dealer was able to fulfill my requirements but get me financed at a reasonable rate........so thank you for dropping the ball but id warn others if you have less than A+ credit steer clear of this place....

Mason was accommodating and suggested we take a look at the full size trucks they had available on the lot. We were able to test drive multiple trucks to find the right fit. Once we did, Mason was super helpful and it was one of the easiest buying processes we have been through. Everyone we encountered was super friendly. I never thought that buying a car could be such a pleasant experience until I went to Wedekind Motors. My husband and I drove three hours to look at the car, and it was worth the time it took to do so and more. Felice and Arthur were gentlemen, and it was genuinely nice to buy the car from them. There was no pressure, no upselling, and the car cost less than we expected. No ridiculous dealer fees either. I can see why Wedekind has been in business since 1921, the way they run their business and treat their customers is a rarity. I will be recommending them to everyone I know. I was not the one to buy a car from them but my husband did. I should have went with him seeing as how it was only his second time buying a car and these people ripped him off. He went in just to look at a certain car. He drove it and liked it and gave them his info and told them he wanted a certain payment a month that he could afford and not to go over that. The next day they called and said everything was ready and come get the car. He was happy until he found out his payment was $150 more then what he told them he wanted. He needed a car since his car was bad. To top it all off he just got the car and not even a month later needs an oil change bc they did not even change the oil for him when he got it. I was going to keep my mouth shut but that put me over the edge with this place. All this place wants is money they dont care about the customer and how they feel after they get the car. I would not recommend this place to anyone.

I came to Wedekind after having a horrible experience at another dealership up the road (Lia Nissan...blah). I was in, out, and keys in my hand within 2-3 hours. Joe the salesman was great and didnt jerk me around, Art the manager was a straight shooter, and the finance manager (sorry dont remember his name, but he was awesome) gave me a solid on the car. We would offer many more stars if available.I could not of been more blessed than to stumble into Wedekind. We had traveled from out of state to pick up a new family car from a buy here pay here (absolutele auto credit) available down the road from Wedekind.. We arrived on time after a 4 hour car trip with 2 small children over night and everything was awful. No one was at the dealership, was messaged 15 minutes after our appointment was suppose to start to let us know she has not disclosed a piece of information about the van and regardless it was a mega fail where we never even met the lady we drove for. At a loss, having to return our rental a hour away from home that night, we sold our car and was at a complete loss. THIS IS WHEN we walked in to Wedekind with a small cash downpayment (we personally 1200 with bad credit and a million hoops to jump being new to the area, small kids make work not as consistent and everyday families struggle) and left with a brand new 2017 with only 30,000 miles. A dream come true when you spent 2 years breaking down and spening hundreds a month to keep the 04 trailblazer alive with over 150,000 miles. We spent 6 hours with the whole team but a special 6 hours with Arthur, Ron and James. We were greeted with all smiles and that NEVER changed no matter what curve balls we tossed their way. I was hopeless and that was not a option for them. Not only are you supporting a local family by stopping in to talk to them but your respecting yourself knowing you WILL BE taken care of with well over a 100% positivity on that. It was more than just us though. 6 hours of watching daily customer flow and 6 hours I witnessed ONLY HAPPY CUSTOMERS AND STAFF. We had people who were there for their own reasons playing peek a boo with our babies, offering up the tv so everyone can listen to cartoons, and just completey content and happy. We will forever travel no matter how far to be with Wedekind Motors and certainly reccomend them to the world. After my car was totaled I searched around for about a week for a new car. After seeing and driving several, Wedekind had the best deal by far and the car was in better shape than the others. My salesman Felice was very nice and they handled all the insurance and title transferring. I would recommend them to anyone.

This Dealership has been in business since 1921 you will not find a nicer dealership to purchase a used car from. The service department is the best! I would recommend to anyone looking for a mechanic or to buy from!!!

We have purchased a total of three vehicles from Wedekind over the past years and have always been treated good and they are never too busy to help solve problems.Their service department has gone out of their way to solve any problems we have experiencedSome of our friends and co-workers have also purchased cars/trucks/suvs from them and they all have said they had good service and the cars were good.Their cars may have high mileage but these days all cars that are for resale have the same problem as people tend to hang on to them longer. They have always corrected any problems and worked with the customer to solve any misunderstandings.They are not perfect, but do their best to please the customer.

Everyone at the dealership was extremely friendly, helpful, and professional. I was personally assisted by Felice. From start to finish he was very accommodating and and allowed me to come to my own conclusions about purchasing a vehicle with no pressure. Highly recommend that you get your next car from him! Originally I traded in my 99 Cherokee XJ towards my new car, but the next day I called and explained that I wished to keep the Jeep for my little brother. Any other dealership wouldve said no way and hung up on me, but the sales manager Arthur was very understanding. Arthur managed to get the Jeep back from the wholesaler and all I had to do was give him the difference for the trade.
