This place is amazing!! Weve only tried their Outlaw Burger, the tots, The Butcher Burger and the Buffalo Chicken Sandwich all of which were amazing!They also are the only place in the area that we know of who sells Boars Head deli meat ! You can get all sorts of spices, rubs, dressings, slabs of meat, lunch, drinks, they have a wide selection of specialty and locally brewed beers, bones for dogs, souvenirs. The list goes on. And it smells amazing inside with all the spices!

Best steak tips in the area. My go-to when I want to make a great fail proof dinner. Try the maple bourbon for sure. Have not even had a chance to try all the other options because every time Im here I get a mix of steak tips but Im slowly going to expand into other choices. If the other food is as good as the steak tips this place is a total win

I stopped here for lunch and hot a pastrami on marble rye. It was a great sandwich. Nice amount of meat, it was grilled and the bread was good. I will be back for a breakfast sandwich soon.

Talisha cooks an amazing burger, and her recommendations are always spot on. Cool to see wagyu beef in the case, I know where I’ll be getting my birthday steak from this year! They have a great selection of lesser cuts as well, like oxtail and tongue - which I think have the best for the buck. Glad to see the kitchen has been upgraded. The new vent is a great addition, especially for the Monday burger special - which really can’t be beat anywhere else in town.

Wonderful selection of local meats and products from less than 100 miles of their store. You will not be disappointed by the ribeyes! The one I got was fork cut tender!

This place has come a looooong way ! New owners are very focused on the experience and quality. There is an abundance of THE BEST local foods as well as some amazing cuts of meats and simple and easy pre prepared foods that will make my dinner just that much more fancy. Any local should definitely check this out. Quick in an out service, and if you have unexpected company or forgotten anniversary they will save your life. It’s like my old corner bodega but in Scarborough!!

Stopped in for the first time and we ordered sandwiches, which my husband dare says is the best sandwich hes ever eaten (the pulled pork sandwich). Such a wide selection of items and Im only disappointed that we hadnt stopped in sooner!We will be back for more delicious food and to try some of their marinated meats! ❤️

Great East offers a terrific array of prepared meats and foods, cooking supplies, deli meats, beer/wine, and a smattering of unique drinks. They also have prepared sandwiches but be sure that youre clear in how you prefer your sandwich prepared or you may be unexpectedly surprised.

Passing by, we found the name enticing enough to try it for lunch.So happy we did! I asked David behind the counter what his favorite sandwich was - brisket sub. Sounded like a good fit for my appetite, so I ordered it whatever way he ate his.As a Brisket Sub I think he is under selling it. More of a burnt tip, and possibly Unicorn kisses, this sub whisked me away to the wonderful world of so good I now need a nap.Tender bits of brisket evenly mixed with delicious bark, and sauced evenly, all served on a soft sub roll. Delicious. Oh, so very.Well done, David! Many thanks!

Yummmmm. So nice to have a quality butcher for great sandwiches and local meats when visiting this area. The space is beautiful and so many great, quality finds that arent available at the regular grocery store. Will definitely be back.

Happen to stop in on a Monday and we took advantage of their Monday Burger Special. Absolutely, delicious burger and only $5. Interesting assortment of fresh deli options and eclectic merchandise in the store. Friendly and helpful staff. Will stop again when in the area.

Great selection of fresh meat and food. Superb quality and taste of everything that was purchased. Its been a number of years since Ive been here and the quality is just as good now as it was in the past. If I traveled into this area more frequently I would definitely stop and purchase something.

With meat prices climbing at grocery stores, I started looking for other options and was very happy to come across this shop. The selection of marinated meats is fantastic and as a native of NYC, it was great to see Boars Head brand of cold cuts (theyre the best, theres no arguing about it). This place is now part of my weekly routine and it should become yours also.

They had none of the items they had advertised and very rude customer service.

They hooked me up with a Beautiful Tomahawk Steak for my Daughters 25th Birthday.

Stopped by and got a pulled pork sandwich randomly, and I’m really glad I did. The shop itself is stocked with delicious food + a great local beer selection and they also have a sizable space where you can eat any food you ordered. My sandwich was gone in minutes, so tasty. The staff that helped me were kind and efficient. I’ll be back to try those breakfast sandwiches for sure

Great sandwiches! Jersey Italian or Reuben for me! Always fresh and great pickles. Free samples at the door and you can get a sandwich card. 10th sando is free! Always clean and the staff is friendly.

I bought the wagyu ribeye. Did a slow and low cook on the kettle. Came out amazing! I’ll be back soon.

My experience was brief. They looked very clean, the meat looked fresh and they had a variety of marinated packaged options along the walls. I was looking to have raw meat thinly sliced for a new recipe, which they could not do (I would need it cut on a meat slicer which was used for deli meat. They cannot cross contaminate the raw meat with the sandwich meat). The staff was polite. Will be returning for other meat related needs.

They have Taylor Ham thats all I have to say. 😅 Im so happy because not many people have it. Its is a Jersey thing. I would give it 10 🌟 if I could.

First time I visit this place since under New Management, and I hate to say it, but its terrible.1. The place looks dirty2. Not a Single Employee was wearing a face mask, Not even the Cashier!3. Way overpriced, using COVID19 to Jack up the Prices4. Worst of all, The People Handling The Meat do NOT use gloves!!!This is a Germ/Virus factory...No Safety Measures..should be shut down!

Good Meat.

I stopped in to pick up a pound and half of steak tips which costed $29. Typically these are always delicious and never an issue, but today upon getting home I had to trim about a quarter pound off of bad meat. It seems that under new ownership the quality of the meat has gone down. Be weary if you purchase any meat from here.

G.E.B was a fairly good experience. I ordered the Brisket Sandwich and a Blazen Burger. I ordered my Brisket sandwich naked so I could get a good idea for the flavor of the meat. I must say, that for a brisket prepared by a butcher shop, it was rather bland. However, it does come standard with a housemade BBQ Sauce and a Bacon Relish. Those flavors added, it might be a tastier sandwich. The burger was the premiere of my meal there. The meat was well flavored and the cheese and bun complemented the flavor of the hamburger well. This place does offer a 10% discount for Active/Veteran Armed Service Members. I found that out too late to help my check..... Not a bad place to grab some grub! Check it out and help a local meat shop prosper!!!!!

Wings are phenomenal. Had ghost pepper wings and reaper wings at different visits, both outstanding.

I stopped in for some steak tips, and bought their pulled pork which I put in the slow cooker for an hour with a BBQ sauce I also bought there.....my husband said, This is amazing. What did you do differently? Haha. Doubt Ill ever make my own again. I also saw a delicious looking cranberry walnut chicken salad, so asked for a pound of that. OMG - the most delicious chicken salad Ive ever had. Stop in - you wont be disappointed.

New Owners WORST MEAT EVER save your money.. Never going back,bought 3 pounds marinated all three pack were tough and poorly seasoned.

We ditched the Turkey today and bought a prime rib roast. Ray the butcher, tied it up and gave me detailed directions on how to cook. It came out perfect. Thank You!

Disappointing experience recently.. the staff is not very friendly and refused to custom grind meat for me because the machines were already “cleaned and wrapped”. While the quality of their products is fine, there is not a wide selection and the customer experience is sub par...IMHO

Their pulled pork sandwich is out of this world. Just amazing. Do note the kitchen closes an hour before the store does.

I was looking for some brisket and Eric the manager was super helpful; he asked me what I was doing with it and made sure I had the best cut for the application. They also have their own house made frozen meals, casseroles and dips, that looked great
