THE best liquor store downtown. There is always a good selection and Bob, who is always there, is helpful if you ever need anything.

Their selection of everything is awesome, but especially their wines!! They have all the mixers you could think of. Liqueurs, cordials, even Luxardo cherries! Everyone is always nice when I go in, and when I walk in, it feels like a community......of alcoholics, but a community nonetheless haha. If you need something out of the ordinary, that Habersham beverage may not have, they got it. Check this place out!!

Just your average liquor store. Knowledgeable staff. They have a good selection of well, standard and top shelf liquors but not so much in rarer or more obscure brands. However, Im sure they would be glad to order any items they didnt have in stock. Very pleasant experience.

Hands down one of the best local liquor stores I have ever visited. Bob and Tad are great and I dont think I have ever met a nice person that Tad. A wealth of information and he shares his opinion in a way that I can understand

I have not been in Johnnie Ganems since they had pool tables. So I do not really know how to rate it. From what I can see from the outside it is a popular place.

Super helpful staff and interesting one of a kind items hidden around the store. They offered to gift wrap the bottle I was buying as a gift, at no extra charge. This place is very savannah and truly one of a kind. Oh, and did I mention they open earlier than every other liquor store in town? 10/10 will go back again :)

This is such a cool liquor store. They have a huge variety. The store is so cool & has an old wood smell to it. The guy that runs it is so friendly & helpful.

I was trying to track down my boss’ favorite tequila in the morning after a really rough few events his wife and he went through. I called six separate stores in town, two didn’t answer, two we’re pretty short with me. One was good, but the help I received here was one of the best customer experiences I’ve had period.They reached out to local suppliers after telling me it wasn’t in stock, called me back multiple times, kept me informed about it likely going to be able to arrive in a few days. After all that help, they ended up catching another lead and had a bottle for me at around 2pm. (Which was promptly gifted by three to much success!)I’ve shopped her a few times and enjoyed it, but that experience really made me appreciate how they run their business.

Johnnie Ganems is the best liquor store. I have been in giant liquor superstores where I live in Dallas and this place honestly has a better selection. They are also very helpful with advice. Their wines and vermouth are highlights for me but a variety of interesting gins, bourbons, rums, tequilas can be found too. Go here!

They have the biggest selection I found in the city. Very friendly staff. Great bourbon selections. Worth the stop. Prices also looked reasonable.

We just had the most horrible experience at this liquor store. Surprisingly, it came from the owner of the business,Ganem. My wife and I live in Savannah, we had out of state guests. We walked in to buy wine and saw a rare bourbon on a shelf so decided to grab each a bottle. It was labeled 37.99. When we picked our wines and walked up to the register, Ganem became furious asking where did we find these bottles and telling us we cannot buy them. Then he rudely grabbed a bottle from my hand and scanned it and said its going to be 55$. When I asked why the price has changed from 37.99$ to 55$ he was still furious. Basically, this situation could have been handled in a professional way but it wasnt. So we left the store without buying anything and not planning to come back ever and recommending you to avoid it !How about anger management or just quit what you are doing. Weve heard from many locals before to avoid that store. Now I know what they meant.

Been coming here over a year. Yet this one time I come in to shop Im asked to remove my backpack as soon as I walk in. Yet i see another customer with one on???? I was in and out in 3 minutes. Customer service is This! Treat all customers the same despite appearance or any other aspect. I felt I was judged as soon as I walked in the door. Yet i am a middle class citizen which has no meaning. I was obviously judged by my appearance. Ill never set foot in this place again. Sorry i had a hard days WORK!

Visited this store while in town for a bachelorette party. They were very helpful and checked in the back for us when something wasnt on the shelf. Also provided some recommendations on local craft beers. Fair prices in a good location.

Solid selection but way overpriced. Bottle of my favorite bourbon at Habersham = $40. Exact same bottle at Johnnies = $60. Thats a pretty stiff markup!!

Not much to say. They are conveniently located if you are downtown, but they are not cheap. The markup is significant. One block up is a Kroger with much better prices on beer and wine.
