Found a great store for my wife to buy fabric while visiting our grandchildren in Ga. I always try to find new quilt stores when we are on vacation. I greatly appreciate the owner taking the time to give me a Man Bag for being patient while my wife shopped. That is a first and very gracious. Thank you again.
Great quilt shop! Staff is very friendly and a great selection of fabrics! Really enjoyed shopping there!
Lively and helpful staff. Great selection of fabrics. A must see shop if you sew or quilt. Koala and Babylock dealer. Classes still available. Well lit. A very happy place.
Sew Much More provided a wonderful experience for us. My wife was looking for a sewing table and had been searching for a few months in the SC low country until visiting the Savannah area. She stopped at Sew Much More and found the table she wanted at a VERY competitive price. Sew Much More is a family-owned and run business with both husband and wife taking an active role in the shop. Both are friendly and helpful. Upon purchasing the table we were able to load the table into our minivan with some owner help.We could not be happier with the product, the cost and the service at Sew Much More. We will always return for quilting and fabric needs.
Great friendly service& wonderful beautiful fabric!!
Fantastic friendly staff. Knowledgeable Babylock Dealer. Offers lessons and Classes. Having a Bag Class while I was in the shop excellent choice if fabric. Had a wonderful afternoon. Highly recommend if in the Savannah area. Just a short easy drive outside the city.
This is going to sound like hyperbole, but its not. Jim of Sew Much More is one of the nicest, kindest, most helpful people there is period. I know that Sew Much More prides themselves on their customer service, but Jim went above and beyond when it came to providing excellent customer service. Without getting into the details of my dilemma, he really helped me out of a jam and saved my project. If you are in the market for sewing and embroidery machines, quilting classes or all the fabric and accessories needed for your sewing or quilting project, go to Sew Much More and they will go above and beyond to help you achieve your seamstresss dreams.
We purchased a Baby Lock Sofia 2 from Bonnie in April of 2016. We brought it in to be serviced almost 3 months later because the machine stopped working correctly. They don’t have a technician on-staff so they’re servicing windows are limited. Keep this in mind if you’re in the middle of a project and need a quick response to any issues that may arise with your machine. The first technician said that the issue was with the sewing needle alignment, which seemed odd on a brand new machine. But they “fixed” it and we picked it up.My wife was barely able to use the machine a few more times before it started to break thread again and bind-up, so we took it back a few weeks later. The shop owner, Bonnie, “diagnosed” that we were using singer needles, which are only compatible with singer machines. This may be true, but why didn’t the first “technician” see this when he was supplied him with everything we were using (fabric, stabilizer, needles etc.). So we changed the needles and then set the machine down for several months due to limited hobby time. When my wife started to use it to finish some Christmas, the machine once again failed. Bonnie first insinuated that it was user error, until we brought her the machine and she realized that it needed further adjustment. So we left the machine with her for another week while she arranged for a technician to look at it. Once again, this isn’t a quick process and they don’t offer loaner machines like our new shop. The technician supposedly adjusted the bobbin thread tension, which should fix the problem. At this point, we didn’t trust the machine or the technicians. Luckily, the Baby Lock representative was at the shop and they agreed to look at the machine at headquarters. So, Bonnie sent the machine to Baby Lock which took a couple weeks so I doubt she mailed it quickly. When my new shop received the machine and the report, Baby Lock said it was once again out of alignment. This is now the third “adjustment” that someone has done to that machine. I’m inclined to believe the first two “technicians” treated symptoms rather than the problem, and that they may have made the problem worse. But I can’t prove that. So our new shop, gave us almost full credit of the machine to a new purchase, something Bonnie was unwilling to do.The employees at Sew Much More are quite nice, but Bonnie is very dismissive, and is more concerned with making money than establishing long lasting customers. Their shop policies reflect that. Although this shop maybe conveniently located, I would highly recommend shopping around at other shops before making any large purchases here. Ask questions like “What is your ability to service the machine I’m buying?” There are a few shops that have a qualified service technician on-site most days. Also ask “Do you have a trade-in policy if the machine isn’t the right one for me?” There are several shops that will let you trade in your machine within the first year for full credit towards a new purchase. Ask these questions and draw your own conclusions, but we will never shop here again and I would certainly never let them service a machine.
Excellent fabrics and customer service. I really enjoy shopping at this store.
I purchased my Baby Lock in December. I have attended several project classes. Instructors are very helpful and knowledgeable. Bonny is very helpful in answering questions also. Thank you Sew Much More for all the help! I love my machine and what I am able to accomplish with it!
Friendly environment and very knowledgeable associates in the knowledge of embroidery machines and sewing and quilting. Also supports the project linus blanket donation
This place has some beautiful old pieces. My husband and I bought two beautiful antique curios, two antique tables and two antique chairs. He moves the best pieces fast so you have to go by often or tell him what you want and he will call you when he finds what you are looking for. He makes great deals on estate pieces that are in excellent condition.
A wonderful stop on my first vacation to the Savannah area. Found some fabric to bring home and enjoyed visiting with the owners. Looking forward to visiting again next year.
Loved visiting this shop! Great selection and friendly people! Will definitely be back!
My husband and I were going to Tybee Island for a few days of relaxation and wherever we go, I always Google quilt shops in the area. Needless to say, we found this amazing shop, stopped in just to look around, well almost two hours later, a BIG bag of fabric and good conversation with these super great ladies we were finally on the way to our destination. Thank you ladies for welcoming us in and treating us like family! A MUST stop for anyone who loves great people and great fabric!
One of the friendliest shops I have ever visited. They sell BabyLock embroidery and sewing machines and answered all my questions. They ordered the machine I wanted and had it in 2 days. Bonnie and her staff walked me through using my machine the day I picked it up. They always answer the phone happy and have all the right answers.
Super nice 👌
It came up as a fabric shop. It IS NOT a fabric shop. It is a quilt shop. It only sells things related to quilting.
