We absolutely love it here! The only description I can think of is: magical. It is such a gorgeous and calming location that offers a wonderful selection of coffee and teas, Bakery items and some light fares. This place is like an indoor treehouse of comfort and mindfulness and welcomes you right in! We cannot wait to visit again and enjoy Maté Factor again!
Ordered Garden Turkey Sandwich. Tasted Delicious. Tried the Old St. Joes. Its basically Latte with a flavour of Mate. Has a herby taste. Nice for a change. Also tried Raspberry Vanilla Scones. Tasted good. Its like softened biscuit. Didnt enjoy the seed texture of raspberry. But overall the preparation was good.
This is honestly the best cafe I have been to so far on the entire east coast from the top of Quebec Canada to Key West in Florida. The atmosphere is warm and welcoming, there are cozy little nooks all over the Cafe. The food, drinks and merchandise are all top quality and nutritiously delicious. I will definitely be returning when Im in the area again.
Whenever I visit a city I make sure to check out independently owned cafes. I actually stumbled upon Mate Factor when I was in the area. I have to say this may be my favorite café in the country. It is beautiful inside, the outdoor seating space is beautiful, the food was extremely fresh and their menu unique. This will be one of my first stops the next time Im in Savannah.
Road trip with my bunny meeting up with friend back from Germany in Savannah, met this lady and her kids at the park, she introduced me this nice cafe where she works. Made a stop with bunny Boo on way back to Charleston. Its a lovely café with nice indoor decorations and seating area. Good tea and coffee. Didnt try food this time😅. Will visit again when have chance. 🥰
Walked there from Forsyth Park. But noticed there is a good amount of street parking available. There is indoor and outdoor seating. There is coffee and baked goods available. I’m definitely not super knowledgeable in coffee, but I did not enjoy my drink.Hazelnut iced latte: really sweet, I think I had about 5 sips before deciding to toss it.I would have gotten a baked good to try, but was still super full from lunch. The cafe itself is really cute and a nice study area.
Best coffee while in Savannah.I come from the PNW where there is a coffee shop darn near every 5 minutes, so you really have to make good coffee to stay competitive. This place would beat majority of the competition there! My go to drink? The iced Mayan Mocha with an extra shot. It was well balanced. Often places think mocha equals a half a pound of chocolate with it. Thankfully, this place knows better. They were as well child friendly, which is important to us. Any time we visit Savannah, we will be coming here! My Pacific Northwestern heart is incredibly happy. Best coffee Ive had that I didnt personally make in 4 years. THANK YOU!!!!!!
A unique and interesting place. The dark roast coffee was quite good, the iced coffee, not so much. It wasnt very strong or flavorful. I didnt try any of the food or baked goods, but they looked delicious! If I lived in the area I think I would go there a lot. I really enjoyed sitting on the bench out front and people watching. I would highly recommend checking this place out.
What a great little hidden gem! It seems more like a place the locals would go (which those are always the best) and it came high recommended. The food is all made to order and it was delicious. The iced mango maté was so good that I bought 2!! Lol Prices are reasonable. Raved about it to family up in Ohio. We will certainly come back when visiting family in Savannah!
Okay, youre a leader of a community which likes to worship in a different style. One of the components of sustaining the community is running a coffee, tea, and bake shop, but at the same time, you want an interior which takes the breath away of all who enter. Its one of a kind! Three spaces inside the walls, and a patio plus outside picnic tables surround the perimeter.A selection of home made sandwiches, hand crafted breads, cinnamon rolls, & fresh baked cookies await your nose and taste buds!Show up starved. This business is usually the first to open, about 6:30 a.m.It closes on Saturday for Shabat, the traditional day of worship, prayer, and study of scripture.Shalom
If you are new to Mate, this is the place to go! Only a few blocks from Forsythe Park is this cute cafe. I was surprised that they had more locations across the USA. They have many flavors to choose from and I even converted a few coffee lovers to try their mate and loved it! Cant wait to visit again.
A very quiet and nice place to have a cup of coffee with a small bite.
This place is wonderful. Delicious food and drinks in a lovely setting. Extra yum stars to the Spinwich and the sweet roll!!! Great atmosphere, perfectly decorated, friendly staff. Get here!!!
Must eat here while in Savanah! Amazing quality for a great price. Cute atmosphere and friendly staff. Will be visiting again and highly recommend the chipotle chicken sandwich and mango iced tea
Wonderful place! Its so rare to be able to find delicious iced mate. The building itself is worth the visit. Such a great atmosphere with friendly people. Their food menu is a bit more limited than other Yellow Deli branches but its a great place if youre looking to study, curl up with a good book, or have an intimate conversation with a few friends. Definitely going back!
Just a few blocks from my Historic Savannah home, I feel privileged...awesome baked goods, Olive sourdough bread thats out of this world and great coffee and tea. The decor is out of this world and has a great outdoor seating area. A must-see when visiting Historic Savannah
I love the iced hibiscus tea & their bread. So good! Coffee is good too but haven’t tried anything else, based on stuff I’ve tried I bet other items on the menu are just as good. The place itself is very cute, a few outdoor tables, also a patio in the back and very cute eclectic cozy atmosphere inside.
Amazing little Cafe!! Beautiful and warm decoration creates an ultra cozy atmosphere. Staff is very friendly yet professional and efficient. Even the toilet experience is like home :-). Good coffee and great selection of fresh snacks, desserts and beverages. Had a very nice time with my family and definitely coming again. Highly recommended.. AAA+++
Very neat little place. Cozy atmosphere, the coffee and food is really good. I appreciate the effort that went into decorating the place! Coffee and food was a little pricey but you get what you pay for.
First time trying mate tea!So delicious! Staff is friendly and the atmosphere is so quaint!!! Love it!
Coolest place!Incredible atmosphere.Amazing people.Great Maté.Snacks and sandwiches are the best.Try their sweet rolls!
A hidden gem! Great coffee, drinks, and food. The atmosphere is on another level here.
I really wanted to visit but the website said they would be closed for some type of religious observation. I called just hoping they would be open as I went somewhere else that stated they were closed but really opened. Someone answers the phone and says theyre open.?!? My time was up so hope to visit next time and can change this review.
I absolutely love the Mayan mocha its delicious and the service is always nice and friendly
Love this place! Ive been going here for years ever since they opened. The people who run it are my neighbors. I have so many wonderful memories here! The baked goods are incredible and the maté will keep you going without the jitters of coffee. Speaking of coffee, I hear they have great coffee, though I am a tea drinker myself. If you want more than a light refreshment, they have great sandwiches. The ambience is great too! Youll feel like youve just walked into The Shire!
Fresh everything. Lovely courtyard. Shade. Pleasant. Great coffee drinks. Clean
Cute and yummy. Im only reviewing the actual restaurant. Not the organization that runs it.
Super cute place, the atmosphere was so relaxing. Good food. I would definitely come back.
Adorable and delicious! Everything is baked fresh daily using high quality ingredients that come through in the flavor and texture. Today’s cinnamon apple muffins were large and warm from the oven, with chunks of spicy baked apples throughout. The maple pecan scones oozed flavors of both. I was offered a sample of maté which I’ve never had before and chose the spiced chai. She said they make it in-house and use blends of spices. It was tasty and not too sweet. We are outside in the courtyard and the ambiance was very relaxing.
This place has an awesome atmosphere in addition to delicious drinks. Highly recommend if you are in the area.
Great speedy service. Cleanly, welcoming, and mostly intriguing.
This place amazed me. I enjoyed relaxing the morning of my first day in Savannah. Everything they stand for brought me joy and inspiration. Thank you for leading by example.
The place is adorable! Serving me little house on the prairie vibes. But the staff are the emotionally absent type, don’t expect to be greeted warmly or engage in any small talk.
Just gorgeous inside and out. European feel cafe with plenty of outdoor options. Felt so warm and cozy like I was sitting in a German Fairy tale. I ordered a traditional maté with agave and vanilla. Divine taste! Cherry Almond muffin to accompany the beverage. Will be back again and again. The staff was very friendly and patient with me while I worked with technical difficulties on my mobile pay app. Thanks!!
Super chill, hispter cosy vibes. As a student I loved this place. The yerba mate tea is great.
All homemade pasties and breads. We sat outside in the courtyard enjoying the quiet tranquility of this charming eating establishment. We did take home some of the best cinnamon yeast rolls ever made.
Great coffee and a low key spot. The houses surrounding this place are gorgeous. If your not from Savannah. Go here, grab a coffee, and walk a few blocks towards Forsyth and look at the AMAZING homes with a perfect cup of coffee.
Incredible interior. Will visit savannah again to spend more time here.
A favorite place in south downtown for a cup of coffee or tea, Maté Factor is so cozy. The shop has such a cool interior with some booths, armchairs and a few tables in a upstairs loft. The bathroom is typically clean, the staff friendly and the coffee/tea well made. The bakery items are unique and tasty, though I havent loved the sandwiches. I found that most coffee shop food lacks flavor or interest. It gets the job done if youre hungry though! The bread is good! I once had a latte that wasnt great, and as soon as I talked with them they immediately remade it and checked in with me to see if it was better. Love the customer service! The outdoor seating up front and in their private courtyard really take this place to the next level. Enjoy Maté, you will love it!
Good vibes in this place with religious undertones. Theres no proselytizing, but they have literature if youre interested. The food and beverages we ordered were all excellent, and prices are great.
Talia is the best!!! She is so sweet and was extremely kind and generous when I went in there asking for help and to use their phone and went out of her way to help me when I was in a bad situation and gave me a few laughs. I have been here many times and it really is the cutest coffee/tea shop in Savannah (best chai in town), thank you Talia you are a life saver!!! xo
Great drinks, food and excellent customer service.
This is by far one of the best coffee houses we found in Savannah, all of the food is freshly made daily, theres wonderful bread pastries and hot sandwiches that are served with kindness. they have a large selection of mate which I wasnt sure if I would enjoy but its paired with all of your favorites lattes, chai tea, moca.If youre coming to Savannah this is the coffee place you need to stop at!
I was always fond of going there, but once we ordered their blueberry muffins and there was pieces of glass in it. It really can make someone health a threat. And there food is not hygienic
Just left here and it was excellent. Good food and service, and the best atmosphere ever!
Super cozy environment! Friendly staff and delicious products.
The wonderful staff assisted me in surprising my sister for her birthday today. And this place’s raspberry coconut muffin will bring you to tears (of joy). Service and product both get 5 stars out of me.
Very cute bakery/coffee shop with very reasonable prices! You can sit indoors or outdoors in the courtyard. Very pleasant staff and beautiful woodwork throughout.
Lovely atmosphere and workers, truly a delight. Coffee was excellent and so was the food 💗
This is such a unique and beautiful place with delicious food. Highly recommend stopping by for a hot sandwich on freshly baked bread.
The Ruben is always a must and the employees are super friendly. I am almost making them my Friday lunch destination!
Delicious drinks and great ambiance! We also loved the cinnamon roll, muffins, and carrot cake
So cute here. Plenty of pastries to choose from, plenty of delicious sounding sandwiches that are friendly for meat eaters and non meat eaters. The drinks are exotic and fun!
My wife and I loved this place. Great maté latte and chai latte. Ambiance is cozy with lots of seating inside and out. When we used to live in chattanooga, we would frequent their sister restaurant The Yellow Deli. It was nice having that back home feeling again as soon as we walked through the door. Staff was personable and friendly. We will definitely be back.
Divinely delicious offerings. Amazing attention to detail. This place is stunning.
Stumbled across this shop walking from Forsythe Park. This place has authentic, I repeat, authentic maté. Yerba, bombilla, el mate. The ambiance inside is excellent. Theres a little music playing, its not too loud, not too quiet. The baristas are really friendly. Best of all, the maté is excellent. They dont have famous brands like Canarias or Cruz de Malta, but the mate I had was sin palos and delicious.
The whole wheat Cinnamon Bun is the absolute best!! Love the environment and the food is delicious! A favorite stop!
I have been here once before and every single day I wanted to come back!! So Im here now.Upon arrival you notice a little welcoming house with little round tables. Once you enter you become at peace with the warm colors and bakery smells and soft exciting yet pleasent music in the back. The menu has a wide variety of teas and coffee and breakfast plates. Everything you see in front of the menue is home made and delicious. Im personally a big fan of the spinach roll. The employees are very pleasant and helpful. I stayed here for about an hour chatting with the emplyee an admiring the layout. There is an outside seating patio thats darling. You will not be disappointed. COME ON IN.
Great sandwiches and coffee!
Beautiful cozy little cafe, loved this place and it was just my first visit. :-)
A must visit when youre visiting Savannah. Charming with a bit of whimsy thrown in. Cozy outside patio. Great place to relax and enjoy one of their scrumptious sweet or savory treats. Their cinnamon rolls are to die for.
A really great coffee and tea shop that is very charming! Located in the Victorian historic district of Savannah. We were recommended this place by the owners of the AIRBnB that we rented that was nearby. The food was delish too and they offer vegetarian options as well for both breakfast and lunch. The coffee I must say had really good flavor and was unique to Mate’ Factor. Outside seating was quaint and we met two avid chess players that were incredibly humorous and friendly!
My wife and I visited Savannah a few months back and ran across this place. What a great surprise when you open the door and go inside, the way they decorated the inside is incredible. The coffee was great as well as the desserts. Do yourself a favor and find this place if youre in town, youll enjoy the experience..
