Cashier was extremely condescending n outright rude to me. Extremely upset n disappointed. I am a VIB member n always have a good time shopping at sephora but not any more. Specially in this store
I never write reviews but I Was blown away by the phenomenal customer service that I got this afternoon from Angelina that I had to share my experience. I came in to the store In a rush, and was way outa time and I was looking for something that was almost like a needle in a hay sack to find because I’m really picky when it comes to eye shadow. I was rushy, impatient, and rude. Angelina felt those vibes and killed it with kindness and made me laugh. She kept me calm with her smile while running around the store to suggest different products for me and caring for all the other customers. I’ve been a server and bartender a manager I’ve worked in customer service my whole life I have never seen that kind of customer service ever and the girl can multitask. I never was a big fan of Sephora but now I am because of the great customer service! Thanks Angelina
I’ll start by saying I spent $1250. One of the foundations I bought had been played with and I didn’t realize until I got home. The employees didn’t give me a second look until I started checking out and they realized how much I was spending, THEN wanted to act like we were best friends. This store has SOO many empty shelves it’s ridiculous. I came in specifically for 3 items and they didn’t have any of them. I continued to shop anyways. As I walked around grabbing different items I really noticed that it is SO gross. So many of the items I wanted were gone, and the ones that were there, a lot were dusty or covered in other makeup. I only come here because there’s not a real Sephora store near me. Just this JCPENNYS one. This store is a MESS. I’m so disappointed with this location.
I dont mind that this store is small, and I understand that customers are going to try on the makeup and things can get messy, but this is the grossest most poorly merchandised store Ive ever been in! I went here today and was absolutely disgusted. The floors were dirty, makeup was rubbed all over the walls, and the displays were extremely poorly maintained. You can tell the mess here wasnt made in a day, and that the store hasnt been properly cleaned in way too long. Inventory is a huge problem here. I didnt see a single section that was properly stocked. I understand that for a lot of companies corporate handles inventory, but when it gets to the point where you have multiple completely empty displays, theres a major problem. The employees seem nice enough. I wasnt greeted when I walked in, which I wouldnt mind except for the fact that I worked in retail and I know how important it is to say hi even if you are too busy to physically go up to the customer. They are always understaffed however. They usually have two girls at the register and one doing makeup on clients, which leaves no one to answer questions or help customers. I really want to love this Sephora, but after giving it multiple tries and never having a good experience Ill be shopping online exclusively from now on.
I am not sure why this store has so many bad reviews. When I went into the store it looked clean and organized (in the skincare and perfume section, I did not look at makeup) The staff was extremely friendly and helpful not just to but to other customers that were coming in. Nyesha (I apologize because I know I misspelled her name) was the employee who helped me with my return. My return was a bit difficult because I ordered it online and was returning it in the store, but she took her time and was able to give me my full refund. Overall I had a pleasant experience at this Sephora store.
They literally never have ANYTHING when I go in there, like no stock what so ever! And it’s so messy in there I can’t even think! Plus there’s literally no help in there! It’s really disappointing
I’ve been going to the store for like a month now they are always out of stock my skin care is Fenty skin care only Sephora sells it and this location doesn’t carry it at all I finally broke down and ordered it online all of the makeup is played with bought a lip stick opened the box it was used it’s honestly annoying
Called to see if they had a certain face cream in stock (because this Sephora isnt registered on the app) and the phone got disconnected so I called back and the lady on the phone got an attitude with me for asking again then the call was disconnected again. All this in addition to them NEVER being available to help with questions when Im in the store. Sucks to be treated like a nuisance for asking a question.
I understand covid is going on and we can not use or touch anything. But why cant the sale reps hold the sample and push it down onto a plastic tester sheet for people to try out the new foundation.... I dont want to wns up wih something I cant return because of covid.
Just horrible. Staff want knowledge you and when they do there very rude. I live Fenty but now I order online. Don’t wasted your time or money here
I stopped in a few days ago to get color matched and was helped by Olivia. She was absolutely wonderful and went out of her way to make sure I had everything that I needed.The store itself is super clean and well stocked. I felt welcomed from the moment I walked in. I will definitely be visiting again.
Hands down the best customer service Ive ever had in any beauty store! Thanks to Madison, I left feeling 100% certain I would be satisfied with my choices. Her genuine demeanor and positive energy made this visit memorable!
It really depends on how your makeup is and how dressed you are. If you dressed in business attire you will get good service but if you are wearing jeans and no make up then you won’t. The manager is the only helpful one there and really cares to make your experience a pleasant one. The bald black lady only tries to push Fenti products on you and won’t help you if you are interested in something else, the others are NOT knowledgeable in their own products and it shows
Meh! I came in to find a specific perfume and the associates were largely unhelpful and rude. One girl was at the register and she seemed very annoyed with the customers she was speaking to. A man whom I’m assuming was the manager walked past me clearly searching for a perfume, (accidentally, genuinely) hit me with a cardboard box and didn’t say anything, and walked over to the register in a huff. I won’t be back, I’ll stick to shopping online. I did find the fragrance and liked it a lot but didn’t want to deal with the employees.
The Assistant was really nice and helpful, she was attenting to everyone because she was the only one working. Highly Recommend
Just called and spoke with the RUDEST store rep ever! Im traveling from DC to Savannah to get married soon and need my make up done. I was told by a make up artist at Sephora in my hometown that they will gladly do bridal make up with a $50 minimum purchase and to make an appointment. I called the store in Savannah and the rep who answered didnt even tell me her name. When I asked if they do bridal make up she said well you have to spend $50 and tip your make up artist, I only do it Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays and I have events on Saturdays. Is she the ONLY make up artist there?? She had an attitude and sounded like she had better things to do. I asked if they can do it during the week (Im getting married on a Monday), I got a flat out no, nobody has time during the week. Guess what? Just called MAC in the same mall and got an appointment with a fabulous make up artist for a MONDAY MORNING! Guess they do work during the week.
I ordered a serum for my face I spent $17 To get it shipped to me like 2 days ago when I ordered it it was in stock and now I check and it says it’s no longer in stock ? I want my money back because at this point it’s just a waste. Don’t shop here 🤷🏾♀️

My last visit to Sephora was really great! I worked with Amanda and she was so patient with me and all of her customers after my gift card failed to work! With her lack of help from her team being the only salesperson on the floor, she was able to hold it down. From a managers standpoint, she is a really great associate and showed dedication! It was great working with her! Thank you Amanda!
Horrible customer service, spoke to two of the associates closing that night and neither wanted to help me find a good setting powder or direct me to the brands I was looking for. Considering how many displays are often in sephora stores I don’t find my request to be unreasonable. Just rude women overall won’t be coming back to this one.
I LOVE Sephora online, and the few others Ive gone to with my sister--but this one SUCKS! Ive gone in about 4 times and the staff always seem to busy to even say hello to me. I went in today to return something I purchased online and the rep didnt even make eye contact with me while i was there and gave my kids dirty looks (the kids were not misbehaving or touching things) I had intended to get some samples of other lotions to replace the one i was returning, but she made me feel so unwelcome that I didnt even ask.
First the store is absolutely too small, the store is always messy, 9 times out of ten what I’m looking for is out of stock, bad customer service, and this is the second time I’ve received a “store credit” gc as a gift from a relative because someone at the store keeps selling “store credit” gift cards in place of a regular one and knowing that it can’t be used online! So I’m stuck with the “store credit” gc until they finally get what I need instock! Ridiculous!
Extremely poor customer service. There were three people on the floor. One person was at the register and two were helping one lady with makeup. No one was able to help me. I tried giving this location another chance but it really sucks. They are understaffed and have terrible customer service. I was told “hold on” when I asked for help. Never going back there again.
Poorly stocked short staffed at times. However ms. Destany and ms. Rachel did accommodate me. Both these women have excellent customer skills. They actually seemed to like their jobs there making it a decent experience by the end.
I did not have a great shopping experience with this Sephora so I will use my gift card online. I was never greeted when I walked in & the two staff members that were at the register seem to be in a pretty deep conversation amongst one another that I did not bother to ask for help in searching for a particular item that I wanted. So I left and will not return because first impression to me speaks volumes.
Gemya was not friendly, she showed no good customer service skills. I came back to do a return and buy another product but I will not come back again to this sephora store in Savannah Georgia!
Just spent 15 min trying to get color matched. And it never happened. Waited for the guy for ever. I just left and got what i needed at Ulta. They need build a stand alone store bc this bs in JCPennys sucks.

Like I dont know whats going on with keeping the products stocked but it is ridiculous!! Ive been waiting for the same FENTY BEAUTY foundation for centuries now seems like! Everytime I call or go there this is all I get we dont have any in yet ok but I was told this weeks ago! Its now been over a month and still the shade I need which is 440 is not in stock! Its so frustrating! Some of the employees are rude and seem so bothered when you ask for help not all but some! Yall need to get it together! Seriously!! I wish there was another location near me that is well stocked with what I need and had employees with better attitudes!
The worst experience in a cosmetic store ever. it totally bogles my mind how the most recent male manager was given the position. I will never shop there again. The last visit there sealed it for me when I witnessed this so called manager totally disrespect a customer and was rude on many levels. Sephora inside JCP do better.
As a marketing director myself, I can state that without a doubt this store has marketing down to a science. The staff is always friendly, every time - literally every time I go in. Im one of those people that always goes in to get the free for beauty insiders item with purchase via promo email and/or direct mail. Even if they dont have it out yet they always go to the back and make sure that I get the promo product I came looking for. This is absolutely without a doubt my favorite Sephora store and the staff certainly deserves the recognition for their outstanding customer service and positive attitudes every single time I go in the store. Which equals, yes, more sales for this store. Happy to spend my money where the staff goes above and beyond. Way to go!
Shopping at this Sephora location is always a nightmare. The store is always a mess and the testers are never clean. The shelves are never stocked so its hard to find anything you want. The staff is always unfriendly and never willing to help. Ive never had a good experience shopping here. Now I do my shopping online so I can avoid going into this store.

I have visited this location several times over the past 18 months and I want to give it a chance, but it never gets any better. Far too many items are out of stock, and the prices are missing on several items. It is nothing like the first Sephora I visited in another city.
Today, I went in to purchase 3 products from different brands, and they were ALL out of stock. They are ALWAYS out of stock of something I need. Ridiculous.

AVOID THIS PLACE AT ALL COSTS! They literally have nothing in stock, their shelves and displays are so dusty and gross. It is by far the smallest Sephora I’ve ever seen so there is no excuse for it to be that dirty and unorganized. The employees there are THE WORST. They can’t be bothered with anything and if you do try to get assistance, they will dismiss your question as if you’re not worth their time. They’re always standing around the register gossiping amongst themselves as if they’re the only ones in the store. They do not care about this store and they do not take pride in their store because if they did, they wouldn’t let it get this bad. Someone from higher up seriously needs to step in and get this place where it needs to be. The employees are ruining this store. How many awful reviews is it going to take before something is done about this? This Sephora literally has 2 stars and that’s because it is TERRIBLE! I’ll stick to Ulta in Pooler and the Sephora at the mall of Georgia when I’m visiting my parents. This store has left such a bad taste in my mouth. I’ve been to it a few times hoping it would get better and it has not. It got worse every time I went there.
Consistently one of the worst retail experiences ever. I’ve been a loyal Sephora customer since first visiting one in 2003, but I am never buying anything from a JC Penney Sephora ever again.
Nobody will give you the time of day here. I’ve been in countless times and every time they ignore you. I’m so tired of going in and never getting any help. And it’s like I’m there to mess around, I’m a VIB rouge member.
Again visited this location on November 11th so close to the holidays and nothing in stock. Why are they lacking??? Will you please hire management that can organize the store and manage it’s employees.
