They did a great job of fixing my ac on the only day it.rained on my vacation. The kind of cut me in line and got me done in a day. Still works great.
It is rare to find a shop that doesn’t always try to nickel and dime you. Dixie Motors is that rare exception. Every time I take my truck and my wife’s car there I know I am leaving it with experienced repairmen. They always do a quality job and give the vehicles a good check over and recommend repairs instead of forcing you to get something done that you don’t won’t done at that time. The most recent work they did for me was replaced a water pump, thermostat, serpentine belt, and some heater hoses. Will not take my vehicles anywhere else in Savannah!
A few months ago I recently bought a new car and went in for an oil change and learned that the oil filter adaptor housing was cracked. The dealership wanted to charge ridiculous prices because it was a dealership part. Then sky high prices for tune up and transmission fluid change. I called around and when I heard back from Mark Trammel he looked for the part and gave me a reasonable quote. At this point I hadnt committed but he knew that it was the only one available and ordered it anyways so when I decided to come in he would have it without waiting on back order. He was a life saver while I was being indecisive he took a chance on me and saved me a lot of stress. They were quick and great service. I was able to get all my services for more than reasonable pricing. They never tried to push anything I didnt need. I will be back for all my future needs and highly recommend this business every time. I regret not writing this sooner but couldnt go on without saying something Thx Dixie motors you really came through for me!!
We really love this business. They are fast and quick to fixing the issue.
No work done just stop to talk
I’ll be filing a class action suit with the better business bureau against Dixie Motors. I took my truck in for routine maintenance and have video evidence of Dixie Motor employees messing with my engine which was captured using my dash cam. They specifically broke off part of my spark plug which caused my check engine light to come on. I guess they thought I’d have to take my 2018 ford raptor back to them and they’d be able to charge me whatever they wanted. If you value your vehicle performance and longevity don’t even think about taking your car to these scam artists. I’m a local attorney and can honestly say they picked the wrong person to try this with. I’ll have them in court shortly.
I have had service with them many, many years. A great place to have work done ✅
Excellent service as always ~ reputable business practices ~ as a woman I appreciate that they do not treat me differently than my husband. No pressure for unnecessary work.
Excellent, honest service. Recommended to me and I recommend to you!
Very professional and always been honest with me
Told me it would take $450 to fix my blinker. I orderer the part for 40 and replaced the part in less than 60 seconds... So yeah screw you guys. My family has been going here for generations but they all stopped after hearing about this.
The scott jergensen review is fake. this person never came in our shop.
These guys are very friendly helpful and trustworthy!
Very friendly, excellent service, I will be going back to Dixie...Motors, that is.
Ive been using Dixie Motors for 12 years now, ever since 2 friends recommended them. They are fair, accurate, friendly, and always happy to explain what my car needs. As a woman, those traits are extremely important to me. I recommend them to anyone who asks!
They do great work for a good price
Seriously stay away from this place. I took my Jeep here to get a tire patched, they called me and said it couldn’t be patched so talked me into buying 2 new tires for $500. I went to pick up my Jeep and noticed the check engine light was on. I asked Dixie about it and the mechanic said it was on when I dropped it off. LIE!!! Secondly they pulled my Jeep into a bay and reset the system which caused the check engine light to cut off. That same day I picked my 2 infant children up from daycare and on the way home my steering went totally out on I-16. My Jeep then began to only go about 35 mph at top speed, and no exaggeration, put my life and more importantly the life’s of my children at serious risk.I somehow managed to get the Jeep back to Dixie. A few days later, they told me a transmission sensor wasn’t acting properly and replaced it for $250. After waiting a few days and finally getting my Jeep back I needed to drive up to NC for my goddaughters baptism, while driving through Hilton Head my Jeep did the same thing it did before, power steering went out, downshifted aggressive, wouldn’t go over 35 mph, and the check engine light came back on. When it downshifted I literally almost died because a tractor trailer had to swerve off the side of the road to keep from hitting me.I again called Dixie and took my Jeep back, missed the baptism and finally make it back to the shop where I finally meet the owner. After explaining my frustrations with Dixie and explaining that this the 3rd time I’m taking my vehicle back to them and the only thing I needed initially was to get a tire patched. I told the owner that I felt I had been swindled because I’d never had these issues with my Jeep before which I’m the original owner of and have had for 6 years. I also told the owner that I felt like I’d been swindled because I’d never seen my check engine light come on before and now all of a sudden I’m having all these issues since bringing it in.The owner screamed at me, cussed at me, punched a door while walking out to the bay, and spoke down to me. The owner never calmed down, he sent someone else to speak with me who said they’d take another look at it.4 days later they finally called and say it’s ready to be picked up and everything’s been fixed. I pick it up, drive it for a couple more days and I’ll be damned if the power steering doesn’t go out again and my Jeep is basically undriveable. I literally had it towed to the dealership and traded it in.I’ll say it one last time, I never had any issues with my Jeep until I took it to Dixie!!! The owner dog cussed me, threw a tantrum that might have been the biggest adult crybaby thing I’ve ever seen. He never apologized for the inconvenience or even acknowledged their mistakes.Do yourself a favor and stay far far far away. I paid a little shy of $1,000.00 to be screamed at, cussed at, belittled, totally inconvenienced, and still had to go trade in my Jeep because they screwed it up so badly. I can’t remember 100% but I’m pretty sure the owners name is Jerry.
My family has been going to Dixie Motors for years. They always shoot straight with us and its a shop where you dont have to worry about who is working on your car. We have never had a bad experience and if the car had a problem they cant fix, they would refer us to a specialist for things like transmission work. I highly recommend them for anything you need to have done. Its a locally owned business so its also good to support the local small business owners.
Good job.....!
Super friendly and professional! Very helpful in patching my tire.
An awesome car repair place. Never been more pleased by a car repair shop. They are very fairly priced, and are genuine. They dont try to rip you for parts or extra unneeded repair.I had an engine light come on and it needed a knock sensor replaced. Very fair price. Also have dealt with them on starter issues. I get my oil changed regularly from here. Cant beat the $35 price tag that includes oil and filter change, tires rotations, fluid level check ups etc.
I parked the car and they came out and met me. Where else can you find service like? They are great!
The staff is always so professional and care for their customers. Thank you for taking care of my car needs in a timely manner and showing excellent customer service.I highly recommend Dixie Motors as a honest, caring business that will take care of their customers. Thank you!
Quality. Professional. Honest. They treat you like a member of their family! I wont take my cars or families cars anywhere else. Its always nice to see the owners there working just as hard to keep a great business going!
RECENT REVIEW! 2019.This place is lacking in communication skills. I was told I would have a free assessment. When I did bring it up, after coming back, that in my phone call they said it was done, they were charging me for something they hadnt called and asked me to do. Although it was a small price $15, thats still money to me. Not calling and going ahead no matter the cost is annoying. I dont mind paying and going forward when asked, but this was bad communication.
We as a family have been taking our cars there for a few years now. Always great service and competitively priced. Many times they have gone above and beyond in working with us and looking after our vehicles. Many thanks to Tim, Mark, Lonnie and the rest of the guys at Dixie.
Great shop
Great service
Very good service and fair prices.
I had to use Dixie Motors on several occasions and my husband does too theyre always polite they always get to my car at a good time frame and they always tell me exactly whats going on and what it would cost and when you go to pick it up that is the price you pay they are extremely knowledgeable I dont think I would use any other mechanic theyre very trustworthy
Very cordial, honest, and quick excellent service! Thanks guys for always leaving options for me!
My 23 year old that daughter that lives in savannah had a coolant leak and took her car there. They told her it was the pump leaking and replaced all radiator hoses; pump and serpentine belt for an outrageous price. Then called her and told her not only the car had a leak but the caliper on the right front brake was stuck and couldn’t be driven and for $750.00 more they could fix it. I told her to get the car and get it back home to me. She drove it from savannah to Dublin and I drove it from Dublin to Vidalia today. If you know what a stuck caliper will do the car should be on fire by now. Total crooks who will take advantage of anyone that doesnt know any better. Do not do business with them.
Ive been using Dixie Motors for years, because my late grandfather swore by them for great service. I could agree until about a month ago. They greeted us nicely, and proceeded to fix a brake problem . $800. Several weeks later, her car shuddered, due to a dragging brake. Nope, those yo-yos put in the WRONG fluid, and now has screwed up the brakes until it is undriveable. Meineke on White Bluff said they had never seen such incompetence.
Doe.s good job on your car
Ive been taking my two older cars here for 3 years. Service is always exceptional. They have diagnosed and fixed several peoblems accurately and in a timely manner. I have yet to have to wait long for an oil change. They always fit you in if possible. I would definitely reccomend them.
Im in my car now, dropped my car to them 8am and its another day 9:17am....Not even a diagnostic test or nothing. Same parking, and was very rude when I became worried how Im going get to work. Never go here
Hours say 7am-530pm on the windows but there was no one there at 515. Dont get tricked like me. Displeased
Always excellent service.
I had a nail on my tire and Dixie charged me $25 to remove the nail and patch the tire. The service is quick.
Honest, friendly, fast service.
This place is ridiculous. My family has been using Dixie motors since I was in grade school and now seem to think just because I am younger that I am plain out stupid! They told 3,000 for certain repairs I knew for sure couldnt possibly cost that much, and when I requested my keys they said it wasnt even going to start and they couldnt get it over 25mph Bull i put the key in ignition and turned and it cranked right up and i drove it way over just 25 to the next dealer. Dixie is no good anymore!
Nice guys doing good work.
Excellent work following honest appraisals/estimates. They dont tell your car needs work it doesnt need.
They are HORRIBLE Particularly MARK at the front deskThey couldnt figure out what was wrong with my brakes after having it for 3 days.I asked them to document what they did, for legal resins, but I Dont think they even really looked at my car. The guy didnt even notice or mention that that my car (a 2001 Toyota Camry, that should have ABS) has NO ABS on it, ant that could passably be why only one of my brakes locked up throwing my car into a ditch and nearly killing me. even though only one tire had a flat spot where it obviously locked up. The Guy at the front desk MARK is the WORST!!! When i brought the car in I told him I needed everything Documented but when I asked him what they found he said he didnt know anything about the car then he gave me the run around, saying to come back later, when one of the other mechanics was there. Finely He told me to stop calling unless i have a lawyer then hung up on me!All Im saying is Dont promise to do something that your not going to do, especially that he knew the importance of finding the problem he eventually tampered with it making it unusable in court, Then refuses to tell what any mechanic could easily identify. All he had to say is that he is not willing to keep a recored, and i could have found someone who could.By the way, I took my car to Autosport and Ted figured it out in less then 30 mints
I took my car here to inquire about the job they did to my car few months ago. The guy at the front desk very rude and sarcastic. I won’t come back and patronize this business. Bring your car somewhere else.
Friendly staff, how bout them Dawgs
This place is total rip off.
Best in Savannah Ga!!!
Honest
Great Service
I’m biased.
Very dishonest place.
