What a pleasant, quirky and interesting shop! My husband and I wondered around for almost an hour admiring all the antique maps, documents and books. It was very lovely.
Dont pass this place up. Really cool maps and historical documents. Have never encountered another store like it.
Going here was an experience that felt like stepping back in time. The building was from centuries past and the inside was filled with surprising finds in every nook and corner. We had expected everything to be very expensive based on the locale, but we were surprised at how reasonably priced the merchandise was. It was all carefully organized so that we could find what we wanted to see. The sweet lady behind the desk, in her lovely London accent, told us exactly where to look for some obscure items. We live locally but took our out-of-town guests. This will now be on our list of must-see places in Savannah.
This place is amazing! There are so many old maps, documents, books and more from all over the world. Time really got away from me in there and I wish I didnt have to go. If you are looking for antiques on paper this is the place for you!
A treasure hunt! Great shop
I am pro-downtown. Any thing and every thing is right.
Really cool place. Could spend a long time here exploring all the old maps and books. Would love to go back and look more!
Stumbled across this place while exploring Savannah. It is incredible, we spent a good 45 minutes in there but couldve stayed for much longer. There are maps from all over the world during different time periods, along with prints and maps from many wars. There are also very interesting prints of trains, old fashion, automobiles, and planes. A very kind couple owns it and are enjoyable to talk with.
Stepping into this shop was pure delight. The kind lady at the front welcomed us happily and told us where we could find everything. We ended up spending over an hour digging through the drawers and marveling over everything. We were so engrossed in the selection we couldnt believe how long we had been there when the shop keeper let us know she needed to close up. After making our purchases and leaving we realized we had stayed 30 minutes past open hours and she didnt say a word of complaint and was more than friendly while checking us out. I cannot wait to come back to this store every time Im in Savannah going forward!!!
The owners of this shop, John and Ginger are both knowledgeable about maps and prints. They have categories of maps for all the nations and states and prints on everything from roses to freak shows. It would take a person a week of 8 hour days to see all their prints.
My husband and I decided to explore this quaint shop and found so much history here! Its a place definitely to visit while in Savannah. There is an extensive collection of maps, photographs, and books that I could spend days searching through. Next time Im here, I will definitely visit again!
AMAZING, UNBELIEVABLE, INCREDIBLY HUGE collection of prints, maps from all over the world, books, and a few other items.
This shop is a wonderful hidden jewel...I love old maps and they have hundreds of antique maps from all over the world!..also lots of old and new books about Georgia and terrific old photographs of places everywhere on earth...its well worth a stop if you love old maps, books, and photographs...
If you like sitting through old documents and vintage maps from around the United States this is a good place to spend a few quiet hours.
I spent 2 hours in here and could have spent 10 more hours easily. If you love old maps and old photographs this is probably one of the best stores Ive been in.
If youre in Savannah you have to visit V and J Duncan. It makes you think of a store that would be in Diagon Alley...there are prints, maps, and books from all over the world. Savannah is a place of fascinating history and much of it is preserved at V and J Duncan.
Charming antique map and bookstore off the beaten path
Very interesting little shop, with a large selection of cool antique prints, maps and books. Although Im a poor college student and couldnt afford much, I greatly enjoyed looking through everything, and would definitely visit again
Awesome antique prints maps. Very pleasant and helpful staff
I could have spent days in here. Tons of old books, clippings and prints. Great stop for a history buff
This is a must stop. I live here and come in all the time. They have maps of everything for reasonable prices. They make great gifts!
I hardly ever write reviews but the man sitting at the desk was the nastiest, rudest man Ive ever encountered. I was actually shaking & crying to be treated in such a way. I would give negative stars if I could. Thankfully I got a better, cheaper print on Ebay. Run from this place.
One of a kind place, amazing hospitality, very helpful staff.
Great prices and really cool prints. Definitely worth a stop in Savannah if youre visiting.
Helped me date an old globe, thank you. Very interesting map store.
Awesome little shop. Obviously serves a niche interest. LOTS of old drawings and maps from the world over.
If you are interested in antiquities youll find maps, pictures, music...all here....probably couldve spent days delving through everything...so absolutely cool and interesting
Could spend hours here browsing maps, illustrations and books. Walked away with exactly what my husband was looking for.
Amazing collection of maps, prints and books from around the world. A gem.
Great paper. Books maps and post cards.
Wonderful proprietors, amazing collection of old maps and books, and two special spaniels to greet you!
Prints and maps for just about everything and everywhere. I could spend hours going through the different prints.
Great place for old paper
One of the most unique treasures in Savannah!
It is packed with nice old maps and lithographs. An irresistible place for those who like it. You can spend as much time as you can to find bargains. Some are upscale, but you can get a lithograph from the 1800s for around $ 10. I saw various antique maps in the US, but this one is quite reasonable.I liked the hand-painted lithographs made in the 1880s, so I bought them for $ 35 ☺︎(Addition)When I revisit the next day, the hand-painted Peony lithograph is $ 30 with a 40 * 50cm frame! It was so nice that I bought more.Take a closer look not only on the shelves but also on the walls inside the store, there may be bargains.
