This was our first time using Byrds. The upper air unit went out on Memorial Day weekend. Josh responded to our call almost immediately. He was at our house within 30 minutes. He was kind, courteous, knowledgeable and so friendly! He took the time to show us what the issue was and explained things to us well. He was so kind and patient with us. He did an amazing job and we are so pleased and thankful! We will definitely be using Byrd Heating & Air Conditioning if we need help in the future. Would recommend you to any and all in need! Since I made an appointment for maintenance I had to wait a few weeks for the appointment, which tells me that repairs are priority which I appreciate! They were very professional, checked everything out and gave us an update on our unit. They were on time and came when they said they would at the price they quoted. I would totally recommend.

Long story short my husband and I closed on our home on Friday. The air was messed up and the temperature would not go down past 80 degrees. We had one person from a different company come on Saturday night to fix the problem which wasnt fixed at all and screwed us out of $150. We tried contacting him again Sunday morning and he totally ignored us.Clay came Sunday afternoon and actually took the time and went in the attic to find the problem unlike the other guy. He was very knowledgeable and explained to us what happened. Our air is fixed and we will continue using this company if we ever come across a problem again. Highly recommend.

BAD EXPERIENCE!!! I WONT RECOMMEND THEM...Byrds heating and air came to my home a few weeks back to service both of my AC units. I have had problems with one of my units and I specifically asked the tech if everything was good. I proceeded to ask him to install a thermostat in which he did. The service was over $400 NOT including the thermostat. A few days after he left, the AC unit that I questioned was blowing hot air as it was doing before his visit. I called another company out and they took pics of the unit issues. Stevie Wonder could see, based on the rust and the leak that the problem is pre-existing. The tech FAILED to perform a proper service. I called today since my other calls and voicemails werent returned. The clerk who Said her name was Charlie, asked me so what do you want me to do? UNPROFESSIONAL CLERK HOW DARE YOU? MANAGEMENT HOW DARE YOU NOT RETURN A CUSTOMERS CALL AFTER I LEFT SEVERAL VOICEMAILS? TECH HOW DARE YOU NOT DISCLOSE AN ISSUE WITH A CUSTOMERS UNIT?...OOPS YOU DIDNT CHECK IT THE OTHER COMPANY FOUND IT. Picture is from the other heating and air company I hired. Credit card company will know that the service was not performed!

The HVAC technician from Bryd arrived on time and got right to work. He is the same one who helped install the new HVAC last summer. When he was finished, I felt confident that he looked everything over carefully as he shared a detailed report with me. I can always trust Byrd to stand by their work and their product. I will continue to call Bryd because they do a fantastic job.

Save your money and use a company that cares about its customers. Service man said blower motor was bad. I told him to order. HE didnt so 2 weeks later I called and was told I had to call and order. I did and it took 2 more weeks for the motor to arrive. After install we still didnt have heat. Service person didnt do a full check to figure out the problem even though I took his thermometer and checked temp at the registers. ON the third trip I told him to find the issue. It was a switch on the condenser. No one was professional enough to actually diagnose the issue and fix it I shouldnt have to run after the service person.

The technicians are very professional, knowledgeable and competent in doing quality jobs in a timely manner.. I highly recommend! A very satisfied customer!

Just a few months ago, Byrd came out several times to clear the plumbing. The tray over flowed & we had water damage. They fixed the plumbing & repaired the water damage. Our unit is about 3yrs old and only Byrd has worked on our HVAC ( the original and now the new).The unit stopped working Sunday. They came out Monday. A service call alone is $79 plus.We were told we now need to pour bleach down the drain tube every month!This service call was $128. We will no longer use Byrd because we feel this was just the same issue that we sealed wit a few months ago.We are very disappointed with the additional charges.

Came within two hours on a Sunday morning panic call. Could not ask any more of them. Resolved leak and provided recommendations. Perfect!

Byrd Heating & Air Condition was tremendous. As an Army service member who is away from his rental property the most important thing is customer service and integrity. I was previously quoted an outrageous amount from another company that I had contracted to conduct my biannual A/C maintenance. I then call Byrd Heating for a second opinion. Within two hours, they were able to have a technician at my rental property. Don, the A/C technician, was extremely helpful and knowledgeable. He quickly diagnosed the issue and replace the inoperable component. In addition, he kept me in the loop through the entire process. His expertise saved me over $10,000. This is not a joke. I cannot thank this company enough for their overall professionalism and subject matter experience. Byrd’s heating and air has the best customer service!! I called first thing Monday morning and they had a very nice gentleman named Bobby out within an hour!! With COVID-19 going on we have been very hesitant with strangers coming in our home, but Bobby had his face mask on and kept his distance! I like to say Byrd’s Heating And Air really believes in quality work and customer satisfaction. I had issue with my home warranty company and they step right in and resolve my problem the same day when my warranty company gave me the run around for days. To the lady in the warranty department and the two guys who came out and fix my problem I applaud you for all your help and making sure I was satisfied.

Air conditioning not putting out. Service man said the unit was fine we needed to replace the ductwork in the house as it was original to the house. The house was built in 1951 without air-conditioning. We needed to blow more insulation he never checked the Freon. We called another company they came out and said you’re low on Freon there’s a leak bingo there’s a problem after an $80 service call from Byrd

100% pleased with Byrd Heating & Air, and would highly recommend them to anyone! Knowledgeable, great service, and great pricing!Below are more details related to my specific situation.Our A/C system didnt feel like it was working very well the last few weeks. Yes I know its hot outside, but still, something felt wrong, especially when I was consistently measuring a 11-12 degree difference between the air return and all the registers. A quick Google search suggested properly functioning A/C systems should see ~16-20 degree difference.I called the company that actually installed the system when the house was built, and they said that they wouldnt come out if the air felt cool coming out of the ducts. Well, thanks for nothing.After that, I called Byrd and everyone I have talked to or worked with since has been awesome! Everyone I spoke to on the phone were always nice, and the three technicians who came to the house were very professional and knowledgeable. Long story short, something was definitely wrong with our system, and it was discovered that the coil was freezing up this whole time! A big thanks to Eric for coming out to diagnose the issue, and a HUGE thanks to Justin and James who spent a lot of hours at the house with me troubleshooting the atypical issues our system was experiencing.To whoever may read this from Byrd, I sincerely appreciate the pricing situation that played out with this repair, considering all of the additional labor and materials our issue required after the first visit from Justin and James.Im very pleased with my entire experience with Byrd Heating & Air. Is it possible to leave zero stars? that should be possible. i am an out-of-town landlord. i called byrd on friday to service the ac on my house in bloomingdale. i dont know any hvac people in the area and was relying on their reputation alone. although the service call fee seemed incredibly high ($150), i figured it wouldnt matter in the end since it would just be applied to the final cost. the technician showed up but didnt show much interest to my tenants in actually fixing the problem (it is still not fixed). he claimed to have first checked the capacitor yet when my tenant, who has some hvac knowledge, checked it later, he immediately found a burnt-out wire that the tech never mentioned. he then checked (?????????) some other things and came to the conclusion that the 4-way valve was stuck. he did not attempt to unstick it, claimed to not have the part on his truck although they specifically service that brand, and, most annoyingly, never called ME, the landlord and owner, to discuss any of this!! he left, without speaking to me or resolving the problem. his only recommendation (to my tenants who obviously cannot make this decision) was to replace the unit, which i know is not necessary; this is a reparable problem. i called to speak to a manager today, who of course was not in, left a message, never got a return call. my conclusion is that byrd is solely interested in collecting exorbitant service call fees, not in actually providing SERVICE! so i guess i am out $150, which i cannot really afford and still have a broken ac unit that needs fixing. if you are looking for reliable hvac in the savannah area, look elsewhere.

The gentleman who serviced my AC was polite, friendly and knowledgeable. He answered my questions and kept his mask on the entire time.

Installed a smart thermostat and it blew hot air all night. Called them and James came to help. Quick service and he checked everything and besides fixing my setup issue gave me some good advice when it comes time to replace my air conditioning unit. Good people, good service, I would reccomend them to anyone in the area.

My HVAC went out on a hot summer Sunday and the inside of my house was a scorching 88 degrees. I called Byrd and Don returned my call almost immediately. He showed up within an hour, diagnosed the problem and fixed my AC in minutes. I had a bad capacitor which luckily was under warranty. They also will return for free if there is a problem within 30 days. I have two dogs and a really busy week starting on Monday. I was really impressed with Don and his staff. We have been in Savannah for about two years and have been using Byrd Heating and Air Conditioning for the entire time. They always come on time, are very professional, clean and know exactly how to finish the job efficiently. In addition to semiannual checks of our heating and air conditioning system, we have used them on emergency basis. They got here in less than an hour and took care of the problem. Also, the people in the office on the phone are very fast, helpful and efficient.

Since we were so pleased with Byrds service last year when they installed our AC, I called them today when the temp in our house was 75 degrees of nasty hotness. I was very surprised when the nice lady on the phone that they could get someone out today between 3 and 5pm., and even more surprised when their guy was here at 3:30, found the problem, and replaced the part in less than an hour. We had a bad storm and my display box was locked after me trying to get it to stop blanking. I called for assistance through the call center and the gentleman took my information - within 5 minutes the technician on duty called and try to walk me through the unlock process it did not work for me. Very helpful. Only giving a 4 star because I was told last week that they would be showing up between 3-6p and I had a call around 2:20p saying that they were on their way. I was at work at the time and I wasn’t anticipating for them to show up earlier than the time window I was given. Other than that, I’ve never had a problem with them. They are very knowledgeable at what they do.

Two technicians, the two Dons arrived promptly at 2PM, and quickly diagnosed that I did not need a new thermostat wire; then proceeded to install the Honeywell T6 smart T-stat. There were problems with the connection, and the Don sr. exclaimed they had seen this problem numerous times before. He suggested a different brand and model, saying it had been far more reliable as well as being more user friendly, in spite of extra cost. I went with it, and seemed connect a whole lot easier. Both Dons were very professional and did a good job while maintaining a stick to it attitude to get the job done and see the new unit working well. Along with taking time with my wife and I, that we understood how to use the new controls, with phone installed App.

Great service! Would highly recommend! This is my second time calling Bryd Heating & Air Conditioning to fix my AC unit! The technician the second time around was friendlier than the first. I scheduled an appointment and got a call saying that the tech drove by my house and they dont work on mobile homes. Thats perfectly fine but if you know you dont work on certain types of homes then you need to ask people what type of home they have. If this had been during the summer I would have been livid.

They double charged for the service visit and essentially stole $200 from my credit card, then told me their machine was broken and I would have to wait until it was fixed to get a refund. When I asked if I could pick up a check or cash from their office ( going out of my way to rectify the situation ) an extremely rude receptionist answered simply NO.........

Each time I have called, I obtained an appointment quickly. Justin was professional and courteous and diagnosed the issue immediately and fixed my A/C issue.

You will not find a better business in this area. They are always professional, on time, and honest. They serviced my AC on a Sunday in the middle of the summer. I bought a new unit last year, and they gave me options. I will never change companies, and I highly recommend them if you want the job done right the first time.

Excellent service by service technician Justin with Byrd Heating and Air Conditioning. He was prompt and very knowledgeable. He gave me a brochure on Byrds maintenance programs which I intend to look into.
