Darling Doughnuts had to have been the highlight of my Saratoga Springs trip. The only reason I dont rate them 5 stars is the high pricing for the entire menu, which I find hard to be justified due to the already large margins that come with the baked goods business. While spoilage is the reason some bakeries have to raise prices, when Darlings often sells out prices should be lower not higher. Regardless, they offer light and fluffy bases to out of this world frosting that Ive never had with any other doughnut in my life. If youre in Saratoga, be sure to go to Darling Doughnuts!

These were SO GOOD! The store is adorable, staff is friendly and doughnuts are amazing. We got a box of minis in every flavor. They have great social media presence and are always switching up their flavors and adding seasonal favorites to the menu. Can’t wait to go back!

Dough I never tasted before, it’s above amazing

Wonderful addition to downtown Saratoga. The doughnuts are creative and delicious and the fact they change weekly gets me coming back besides my kids beginning for them. The coffee selection is convienent and their dark roast is great! Great coffee spot.

We finally made it down to try out these doughnuts and they’re so good! The dough is a little sweet, a little bit dense and doughy, but still has nice fluff to it. The frosting is sweet, too, but not too sweet. These definitely are a better quality donut than you’ll find at fast food places, and the prices reflect that. The flavors change, so make sure to check out their Facebook page or website to see what they have.

The base of each donut is the same, a well tasting yeasty dough. The toppings change weekly and sell out quickly. Even showing up at 10am has a limited selection.The toppings are going to be hit or miss depending on your taste buds. All of the ones I got were on the sweeter side. I particularly enjoyed the churro, with a hint of spice in it which really rounded out the flavor. The butter pecan were particularly buttery and smooth. The cinnamon roll was simple in comparison, but still good with chunks of cinnamon sugar on top. The galaxy were a miss for me. According to the menu it has a vanilla ice cream glaze, in practice this gave it a hint of freeze dried ice cream which I didnt find appealing.

I was so excited to find this shop, walking around downtown Saratoga I spotted them and the person who was carrying them was kind enough to guide me. When I stepped inside I was amazed, very beautiful looking shop, amazing looking donuts, and the staff was great.Despite this I have to give three stars. The experience is what earned each of those stars. The moment I bit into the donuts I got I was disappointed. They looked great, and I’m not sure if it was the day I went but every single donuts dough tasted awful. After trying a single bite from just over half the donuts in the box I sadly parted ways with my expensive donuts.The icing on each one taste great, they were photographic, but the dough part of the donut made the entire box inedible. I truly hope this was an off day, because if not a recipe change is definitely necessary to survive once the new shop hype wears off.

We visited in late August and one morning decided to try Darling Doughnuts. I got there twenty minutes early and the line was already at Putnams (about four doors down). Totally worth every minute I stood in line! These doughnuts are homemade and absolutely outstanding and works of art! Darling Doughnuts outgrew their shop almost before they opened the doors (you guys are gonna need a bigger kitchen)! We wish you the best of success always and we will be back!

We get donuts here twice maybe three times per month, they’re really that good. They sell out early so it’s better to go as soon as they open for best selection and fresh flavor. If you check their insta you can see the flavors of the week. We are big fans of Blintz and Boston Creme.

Do yourself a favor and try these. In literally any of their flavors. You cant go wrong.

Well worth the drive from out of town, after trying to get there before they sold out for months previously.The base donut itself is wonderfully textured, slightly chewier than the usual yeasted donut and has great bite. The Churro flavor is delightful which is a surprise because I usually cant stand cinnamon while my boyfriend loves it, but it suited us both with the flavor.The only issue we had was the toppings on the Honey Bunches being extremely stale-feeling and tasting, which shouldnt be an issue because we got there an hour after opening.

Gonna get right to the point here.Great donuts. Always.But today I had the cereal donut.As I hit bit into it...something changed in me. I saw everything that ever was and ever will be.My very definition of food has been changed.I will tell tales of this donut to my grandchildren.10/10

Really great takes on classic flavors. They really dont try to reinvent anything, but at the same time they dont over simplify the flavors they are creating. Their icing is a perfect consistency, and their dough is amazing! I recommend this place if you can beat the line and they arent sold out!

Best donuts I’ve ever had. 4.6 was a little too low.

Did not meet expectations. Read this review with caution though because we came toward the end of the day (late afternoon). The donuts tasted a bit chemically and very stale. It may have been the flavor we got, but the taste just struck me wrong. Cool place though and cool flavor concepts. Would def try it again and get a different flavor at the beginning of the day.

Darling Doughnuts have the most beautiful and unique yeast risen doughnuts and is a wonderful addition to downtown Saratoga Springs. We always get a dozen large doughnuts and cut them in 1/4’s so everyone can sample each of the choices that change every week.

Youll pay a premium here, but man oh man is it worth it. The icings are absolutely decadent, and do not disappoint. Ive been there several times, and will keep going back for more

The toppings are decent, but not excellent, and the donuts are really not special enough to warrant the cost. Krispy Kreme, although not around here, are silky and light and are reasonably priced. Yes, a chain, amd I would rather support local, but the taste has to also be there.

I don’t see how Darling Doughnuts could have less than 5 stars. Have you ever bit into something so magical you’re taken to another world or galaxy? Bc that’s actually what a darling doughnut is like, OUT. OF. THIS. WORLD. I’ve never had a doughnut that tasted as delicious as it is beautiful and that’s what you get here. Eye candy AND dessert. The lines are long but worth the wait and if you get to the counter and they’ve sold out don’t worry they’re making fresh fritters for those of us who can’t show up early. There’s a reason they’ve sold out every day they’ve been open!

Absolutely fantastic doughnuts with great flavor combinations! Every flavor is bold and definitive and they look amazing. I get in line early and happily munch one on my walk home! You will not be disappointed!

SO SO GOOD!!!!! We bought a dozen so we could sample a few of them. The dough was the perfect consistency and the varieties were creative and beautifully decorated; It was like coming home with a box of edible art. Completely worth the wait in line and were so happy to have Darling Doughnuts in Saratoga.

The atmosphere of the shop & people that work here are both fantastic. They did a great job of managing a crowd while also staying true to their posted patron limitations (5 in store at a time due to covid.) 10/10 for that!We got in a bit late for a Saturday, so the selection was limited, but that wasn’t a total bummer because they still had some flavors that we wanted to try so #winning.Now for the doughnut review: I had been stalking the shops site for weeks and desperately wanted to try their doughnuts so I was a bit disappointed after biting into one and instantly being reminded of the times that I have eaten stale/old doughnuts a few days after their initial purchase. I was not expecting this at all and I thought it might just be my doughnut.. but my daughter and husband said the exact same thing before I could even tell them. My seven year old did not even finish hers and that’s crazy because she inhales anything sweet.It was like the outer layer was tough and once you hit about 2/3 of the way in it was less tough but not quite fluffy? Idk. That’s the best explanation I have. The dough also had a slightly sour flavor so idk.Not sure if maybe it was a bad batch?Maybe we caught them on an off day?

It was okay . Definitely not worth the hype donuts aren’t even filled . Anyways they have a huge sign on the door that says no dogs allowed.

I came here because my friends said they were amazing. After looking at what they were making for the week I was excited to try some of the different flavors they had to offer, we got there a quarter after 9 and we had to wait for about 30 minutes in line. We get inside and they were basically sold out of all the flavors. I was disappointed and wasnt going to get anything except my friend convinced me to try 1 thing so I tried the black raspberry bites (i only bought 2 and it cost me 5 dollars). Wasnt bad but I felt they were over priced and over hyped, considering they dont make enough product to sell to all patrons who want to try their specialty doughnuts (we were able to order 45 minutes after they opened mind you). Surprised they stay in business at all.
