This store has decent products. The customer service is just the worst. Im not the type of person that needs to have the best customer service, but the way I am constantly treated here is just unacceptable. If you want someone to talk down on you, or if you want to feel like you are bothering a worker for help finding a product, come here. Obviously there was more to my experience, but it continues after a few years from me visiting. Nothing has changed. After all the years Ive come here, the employees are the worst. Im surprised I even kept going back. But the other day I was blown away by the way two employees treated me. I will never step foot back in that store again.

If you can afford it, definitely come shop here!Ive gotten all sorts of clothing, tent gear, and sleeping bags, nothing has disappointed.The workers are a delight, helping and providing insight.

I like it a lot here. There is a great selection of products. The customer service is great by most staff. The location is convenient and there is plenty of parking.

EMS will not refund your money. They only offer in store credit. I could not find this printed on my receipt. When I went to return, I was shocked! The associate curtly told me everyone was already used to this new policy, and then he pointed down at the counter where the return policy is written in small print. So, I ended up having to spend my store return on things I didnt really need or want. I am disappointed, it used to be such a great store, but I wont shop there again.

Terrible experience at this store. If you return an online purchase item they will not give you a refund.Some of the men’s clothing is “Asian “ cut .. not my statement but the clerk behind the counter so I’m sure there are plenty of returns. The XL had a 28 inch waist.Got a store credit in a place that looks like it’s going out of business.. ended up buying something we didn’t really want as would have been stuck with it.The other item I ordered online I received dirty and obviously pre worn with no tags.Overall terrible experience.. ended up spending 86 dollars for two goodwill type jackets.

I recently purchased new hiking shoes and was looking for new hiking socks. The staff was knowledgeable and took their time to talk with me.

These guys have no understanding of those that need gear, or are using their pricing to take advantage of you.Rentals cannot be picked up until day of and dont open until 10a. Who starts that late in the day?! I offered to pick up rental at closing the night before so they werent out a rental and they said theyd just charge two days.Its not good business and its not how this industry does business.Disappointing service, rude discussion with the desk clerk (who I would never trust to work for me and treat my customers like he did) and happy to take my business elsewhere.

Deceptive, you dont get cash when you return stuff, just in store credit, and they dont tell you that. Plus they act like theyre giving you a $20 gift card when you spend $100 but its only usable when you spend another $100. Youd have to read the fine print to know that though

Ive shopped at EMS for many years, happy to be a loyal customer. However, I will refrain from returning to this location under all circumstances. Ive visited this store a few times and what I can only assume is the store manager has been incredibly rude. Human interaction does not seem to be her strong suit and im tired of dealing with it. Frankly its such a turn off that id rather avoid the store in its entirety than exist within this womans immediate environment. Treating your customers like children is no way to run a store.

As one of the only hiking stores in the area it does a great job of providing you with all the gear you need. They have a good rewards program and are involved in environmental conservation. Prices are not bad and customer service is always great! You can rent paddle boards, kayaks, snowshoes and more if needed at this store too.

Over priced but good merchandise.

Every time I come here the staff is very friendly and helpful. The only negative is the staff appears to be small so the wait for help on the floor and at the register might be a bit long sometimes.But the free membership gives discounts on certain items which makes it worth looking for those items (usually lesser known brands) and the sales racks usually have some good finds as well.Ive gotten most of my hiking gear from here and I havent been disappointed yet.

Great place to find everything you need from a simple hike and car camping too backpacking n thru hikes,mountaineering and Backcountry camping. If they dont have in store they can order from their warehouse and ship to store or direct to you. They have a members reward program, excellent sales and most of the major outdoor gear suppliers and their own line of gear and apparel all at competitive pricing.

The guy at the counter last time was nice. It’s pricey but you get what you pay for. We’ve bought clothing and camping gear here.

Knowledge staff that actually knows about the activities theyre selling products for. They know about the brands and how they compare. After my visit looking for wool socks, I became highly informed about how the wool socks they sell have a lifetime warranty, and how to use it.
