Had my car in for a new battery, tires and an inspection today. Todd was very friendly, and did a great job of finding tires that were in my desired price range. Jeff was extremely thorough with repairs, even taking the time to look at work that another shop had done to make sure everything was okay. Overall, it was a great experience!

These guys were awesome. I had some trouble with another mechanic elsewhere and Monros not only fixed the mistake of the previous mechanic but did so almost immediately and were very fairly priced, efficient and friendly. That goes a long way for customers who dont know much about cars. They fixed a stressful situation quickly and with a smile. I will come back for all my car needs!

I am new to NY, just bought a car and needed some tires. Talked to Ed, he was professional and quick. Gave me a decent deal on tires and didnt push any sales on me, did a free diagnostic check. THE BEST part is that my used car had some lugnut issues, showed me a picture of them, and it looked like one was almost melted on. His team took great care of me and worked like a whole hour to get these off (and didnt even charge me extra) they even found some lugnuts off an old job and put them on for free. By far my best experience in Upstate thus far. I will be going back to this shop for all my work. Thanks guys and I am highly recommending you to everyone.

I typically do not do many reviews but felt this one was well deserved. I had traveled to Saratoga Springs this past Friday on 6/11/2021 for the weekend. Late Saturday night when we came out of dinner My low tire pressure light was on and found a screw in the tire. Being that it was late and still drivable I figured I would deal with it in the morning before heading home. I googled tire shops open on Sunday and found Monro. When I went in I explained that I was just heading back to Connecticut and had only been there the weekend. He Told me his name was Todd and came out to look at the tire. I had just bought the truck and only had 3,000 miles on it but unfortunately picked up a screw in the tire and was not a warranty issue. He told me because of where the screw was located he could not legally patch or plug the tire. I did have a spare under the truck and he told me he would have his guys put the spare on for me right away and at no charge!! Todd had 2 great employees that took care of the issue immediately. They were very knowledgeable on getting the tire down off the bottom of the truck. The truck is a 2021 with hidden key lock security just to get the spare tire off. They were very respectful and pleasant to deal with on a Sunday morning. Todd knew he would never see me again and still took care of the situation at no charge. I may never see them again but If I was local then this would definitely be my go to place. They are honest and all about the customer and not the money. Todd did not charge me but I tipped his guys well as they deserved it.Tom B

Brought the car in for an inspection and they gave us a quote of $1300 for repairs needed to pass inspection. We literally went across the street and got the exact same repair for $500. they are using the state mandated inspection to rip-off clients. we will never bring our cars there again

I absolutely love this spot they 100% took care of me. I called to see if I could get my car looked at because I was having overheating issues (come to find out my car was low on antifreeze) I took care of the issue, or so I thought, but still brought my car to be look at just in case. They looked at my car free of charge and even squeezed me in on a day that they ddnt exactly have availability just because I was not able to leave my car over night due to having to work in the morning and I was worried about if it would continue to over heat. I came to the auto body shop the next day and come to find out I had a water pump leak and a valve cover gasket leak. Which I would have never known with out them. I was literally at childs auto body shop two weeks before and they said my car was absolutely fine !! (I was planning on driving my car from New York to California! It would not have been fine !) so I got a quote, from Todd and got my finances in order and called back to make an appointment. Come to find out I needed to make a new appointment because my plans to go to California the following week pushed forward and I needed to leave ASAP. I called the next morning as soon as they opened and spoke to Todd again and he again for the second time took care of me and squeezed me in for an appointment the same day (jst so you know this appointment was going to take a few hours its not a quick appointment) I was very lucky to have this team helping me out and on my side not giving me any trouble I am a younger female and they are very friendly, very professional and very honest. I would recommend to anyone.

Travelling thru Saratoga Springs while on vacation w my family. Car broke down on highway and we towed it to Munro near closing. Josh and Ken agreed to stay late, confirmed it was a busted alternator, and fixed it for us. These guys rocked! Thank you again!

I had great service from Josh and Todd. I ordered 4 new tires yesterday. Today they got me in and out in 45 minutes with my new tires and a NYS inspection.

Wouldnt recommend this place. I had to get a starter installed in my truck. They ended up charging my almost $500 for the job AND then ended up messing up my heater hoses in the process causing coolant to spew out right on to the brand new starter. I had to bring it to another place to have that fixed as well. When I told the other shop how much I was charged for just a starter they nearly passed out saying I was absolutely scammed and they wouldnt have charged near that. Do yourself a favor and go somewhere else.

On 4/19/21, I went in to the shop because I had issues with my brakes. The total cost of replacing 4 brake pads and 4 rotors was $950 and replacing the front calipers was $250 ($125 each).They are very accommodating and fast with their service but I think they definitely over charge for replacing brake pads and rotors. Local mechanics charge $600 to replace 4 brake pad and 4 rotors.I am thankful for the fast service but not very happy about the price charged.P.S There was similar review where person was charged $1,000 for changing brake pads and rotors. I wish I looked at that..:(

Very professional and quality work.

Went here for a NYS inspection. I was told that I had a squeaky left rear brake and that my brakes were shot and needed new pads and rotors. Brakes did not shake or grind. Took to another shop and they advised me it should of passed inspection and that the rotors were good and brakes had about 40% life left. The other shop even showed me the brakes and rotors and compared to a bad set they had. Will never go here again.

Techs need to clean hands, etc. before driving the car as they did dirty up the interior a bit.

Customer service is always great! Came in with my check engine light on just 2weeks before my state inspection is due. They went above and beyond to call a local dealership for me to see if I was covered under a warranty for my catalytic converter and sure enough I was. They easily could have just told me the repair needed and I would have paid $$$$ to have it done without realizing I was covered for it under a warranty. To top it off they waived the charge for the diagnostic scan! I couldn’t be more appreciative of the kind service I received today. I will definitely continue to come back for my service needs!

Been going to these guys for years! always super helpful and fair. They make dropping off my car easy and quick, They always call with updates and cost estimates before preforming any work, even including photos to show parts that need repair.

If you expect your car to be taken care of professionally, this is not the place. The cost is fair but check your vehicle after the work is done. I had parts missing from my vehicle as well as things not put in properly. When I pointed it out I was treated like I didn’t know what I was talking about. What a waste of time and money.Terrible customer service. Never again. Find another shop.

Came in for an inspection and they forgot to change the sticker. Had to drive back and wait 20 minutes to get that fixed. Staff also can’t wear their masks correctly and take them off whenever customers are not in the office. This is compounded by them letting unmasked customers inside. Saratoga just had a second wave. Is it so hard to do your part? Sanitized my car afterwards.

I moved into town from out of state and its always tough to find a dependable and trustworthy shop. The first time I went to Monro I had blown out a tire and needed it in a hurry and Ed and his staff came through! Since then they have always been extremely honest and straight forward with me and my girlfriend. Whether youre getting snow tires or work done on your car this is a place I highly recommend!

My brother works here he is amazing at his job love their staff and service, i will taking my car back soon to get nee brake pads put on. Saves slot of time and they always take the best care in your vehicle.

Good service but they mark up the price for parts by a huge percentage. Breaks rotors and 2 calipers ended up costing $1400. Top of the line rotors at advanced auto are $85Monroe charged me $150 each front and $110 for the rear. $100 bucks each for break pads and $170 for each caliper. They are definitely price gouging when it comes to parts. And it is also their policy that you can not bring your own parts so you wont get out of paying their marked up price.

They were a little delayed the day I brought my car in, but they made sure to get me my car in time to drive home that night and made the whole experience totally positive. Came in for a winter tire change + summer tire change the next season.During the winter tire change, they damaged one of the TPMS and broke the wheel lock.Next season, I foolishly went back to them to get summer tires mounted. Was told that my winter tires (rated at @20k-30k miles) were already at end of life when I had only used them for 2 winters - max mileage of 10k. I was most likely duped here thinking back on this, and I should have questioned it more since the set of tires were almost $1000.Not recommended for quality of service or honesty.

Severely overcharged for brake pad and rotor replacement, over $1,000 for brake pads/rotors and an oil change. Within four days of this service my check engine light came on for the first time ever. When I brought the car back to the shop they were dismissive and rude. After looking at it they said a sensor needed to be replaced for $270 (a $50 part, average total cost of replacement/labor $130 on google) - it is pretty apparent that their original service caused this issue. Price gauging and defective service. I will never go back.

My husband and I both really like this Monro Muffler. We take all of our vehicles here for oil changes, state inspections, etc. They are honest and trustworthy. They always try to find us the most affordable options. I recently had my Ford Explorer in because I was having problems with my heat working and Jeff took great care of my truck. I always go in with my two kids and they are great with putting on cartoons to help me keep them happy while I wait for my truck. I would highly recommend this business.

I am SO happy with the service I received at MONRO! I was visiting Saratoga for the weekend and my brakes stopped working during my short visit. I wouldnt have made it back home safely (2.5 hour drive). They were able to see me that same day- I was so grateful. I immediately trusted them because of all the positive reviews. The super friendly staff made me feel comfortable and welcomed. HIGHLY recommend them!

Can’t reccomend this shop enough! My wife and I were four hours from home when our jeep broke down on the middle of the highway. We got towed to this shop on Father’s Day afternoon. The guys at this shop were incredibly helpful and thorough with their investigation of our Jeep and they offered us so much helpful advice. They even did a second inspection of the car to make sure they didn’t miss anything and showed us what they were looking at. Being so far away from home we were nervous about being taken advantage of as both of us were in the past with our cars. These guys were just kind, knowledgeable, and patient. They kept the shop open late on Father’s Day just to help us get our car hooked up to the tow and lent us straps to secure everything. We really owe these guys. If your from out of town and have a crisis, go here! They are trust worthy and their customer service is incredible. We can’t reccomend or thank them enough!

They went above and beyond.I was working in Saratoga Springs and on returning from an errand my truck stalled and would not restart. I had a dead battery and called for an appointment. The manager said bring it in and they would help. After work I called a family member to get a jump to start my truck. Even with jumper cables my truck would not turn over. I called the manager at the shop and he sent an employee over to me with a jump pack. My truck started and we proceeded toward the shop with the Monroe employee following. My truck stalled at the traffic lights on Broadway. The employee kept jumping out of his truck and started mine. After the third stall he hooked up the jump pack and kept it on my battery. We made it to Monroe and they took my truck into a bay. They checked the charging system and all I needed was a battery. As I said they went above and beyond by coming to get me and staying with me until my problem was fixed. I want to thank the manager and the employee whose name I wish I knew who made a stressful time very manageable.Thank you.

We went to this Monroe because we were having a problem with the muffler on a car we had just purchased this morning. The Manager and Assistant Manager listened to our problem and told the technician what we said. He pulled our car in, put it on the lift, diagnosed the problem within minutes, and it was fixed within 10 minutes!!! We were very happy with the service and professionalism. We will be going to this shop again, despite it being out of our way. Its very nice to be welcomed into a place for the very first time and leaving with the confidence that youve been taken good care of. Five stars all the way!!!

PICK MONRO OVER MAVIS!!!I brought my car in frustrated by the service I received across the street at Mavis. I explained the long list of issues and Joe was super helpful and understanding. He was able to get my car in right away and personally looked at the issue I was having. Surprise, surprise... Mavis put my tire pressure sensor on wrong and Joe found it right away. He also checked my brakes because Mavis was supposed to do those also and found out that Mavis never put the rotors on that I was charged for. Joe was extremely professional, explained everything in detail, and worked hard to get me out of there. The store manager Steve was understanding of my situation and didnt charge me a dime for the service that was done. Im beyond impressed with my experience here and will use Monro moving forward. Ill also spread the word that this place is where to go for car issues. Thanks for helping me out gents!

I have been going to Monro in Saratoga exclusively for almost 5 years now and am never disappointed. The staff is always friendly, addresses me by my name and asks about my day. These guys are amazing! Fast, intelligent, knowledgeable, respectful, and courteous. They just went added a bunch of discounts to my bill that I didnt even know about. I got an inspection, needed a light bulb, a full synthetic oil change, a tire rotation, and ended up needing front brake pads and my bill was $225 before taxes. They could have said I needed to replace the rotors but they didnt because theyre trustworthy. Im a manager for the most elite hotel in Saratoga and I will recommend this particular Monroe to any of our guests.

What an experience! I have rarely written feedback before but I was traveling on business and on a 9 degree day left my hotel with a flat. I was able to drive a 1/2 to Monro. Within 15 minutes they took my car, pulled a nail out of the tire and sent me on my way with NO charge. That is a give it forward moment. Give them your business if you are local. We were in town for a fundraiser event this weekend. Upon getting in the car to drive home, I discovered a large nail in my tire. We called Monro and asked if they could fit us in, and they said that they could right away! We arrived, and as promised, they took us right away and had the tire plugged within 5 minutes! I have been to Monro twice and both times it has been a great experience. They have been able to fit me in when I only call a few minutes in advance both times. When I went to get my car inspected, I had just registered my car and needed to switch the license plates but couldnt get one of my old ones off. They changed it for me and didnt charge me anything extra. I have also found their prices to be surprisingly reasonable!

These guys are fantastic. I needed an oil change (synthetic oil), and after the coupon it came to $36. I was in and out within half an hour. They even fixed my heat shield for free, which had been rattling! I will never go anywhere else.

This group of mechanics are the most honest, hardest working people I have ever met. They worked tirelessly to figure out what was wrong with my crazy white minivan.They never talk down to and never try to sell me more than I need .They explain things in a way I can understand and never condescending.I recommend Monro on South Broadway for every car need you could ever have. Fantastic customer service, I have used this shop since I was 16, they are always fair and do a great job. This past time I had an issue that should be covered by my factory warranty and Ed went above and beyond trying to help me figure out how to deal with VW and make an appointment. Such a sweet guy and this was something he was doing to be helpful out of the kindness of his heart without getting paid. I will never even think of using another shop!

I went in because my service light was on and I didnt have the time to take my car down to the dealership. I was also dreading the expense. They were able to give me a review of what needed to be addressed so that I could make decisions about how I wanted to move forward and saved me a significant sum of $$. Fran was my daughters life-saver this past Sunday when her car had a flat tire after attending a wedding. With no questions asked, she brought her car to him and he fixed her tire within 15 minutes. Beware: get quotes before deciding to go there. I made the mistake of taking my car here not knowing what was wrong before i dropped it off. Although they were able to service my car before the busy holiday week, they have marked up their parts pricing +125% from local dealers. The guy out front was rude when I called to ask if they could match. He verbally attacked me when I went to pay yelling at me in front of customers that were waiting on how it was convenience that I was paying for. He overcharged me over $300 from what 2 dealers in the area would’ve charged me. Then charged me for a diagnostics, which came to be $130, which I had already completed prior to going there at their sister location in Malta.

My friend recommended that I take my truck to Monro. I’m glad I did! Ed and the crew here were very helpful when doing something as simple as a state inspection. They took care of it very quickly, and also notified me of some vehicle recalls on my truck. One of the recalls actually involves an accessory that is not functioning properly, so they may have saved me some money in repairs. If the repair is covered by the recall, I will not have to pay for it, it will be covered by the manufacturer. Yes!!

I come to this location in Saratoga Springs NY for all my automotive services. The service consultants are always helpful and knowledgeable. I’ve never had a problem but if I did I know they would take good care of me and my car. I’ve been to other Monro Muffler Shops in the area but haven’t had the quality of service I get in Saratoga.

We almost always go to Monro on Bway in Saratoga for our oil changes, and are very happy with them. We havent had an issue with them trying to push additional work, which is a very welcome change of pace!! They get you in and out quickly and their prices are very fair.A few months ago they were able to do some patch work on my muffler, saving me a LOT of money. The car is older and not at all worth investing in a completely new exhaust system, which is what others had told me I needed. I appreciate this so much and will continue to give Monro my business.I highly recommend them!!

I was heading back to New York City and had a flat. They took me in right away and plugged my tire. Great customer service and friendly staff! I was lucky that they were around and open on a Sunday.

I am from Philadelphia and was in Saratoga with some friends and family for a fundraising event. Discovered a nail in our tire right before we were about to start our 4 hour trip home so we called Monro and they fixed it right away - for free! It wasn’t even 10 minutes from the time we pulled into the parking lot to the time we left. The staff members were super personable and glad to help us out. Great overall experience Would definitely recommend!

Honest and hardworking. I have brought my car there since moving to Saratoga and they have always been extremely accommodating to getting my vehicle in, assessed, and fixed quickly. I would not bring my car anywhere else. They are willing to work with you and give you the best price possible.

Solid crew and honest folks. I was in town for business for the month and needed an oil change. I dropped in mid afternoon for a walk in and the gentleman at the counter said, “We can absolutely help you out but I’ll be honest, we are 3 hours deep right now. Is tomorrow a possibility? We can take care of it easily in the morning.” Which is exactly what they did. They even patched my back tire which had a nail in it. In and out in 45 minutes. Thanks y’all!

I get my car serviced here time to time and theyve always been prompt and honest. My last visit was for a wheel bearing replacement which was completed by early next morning. Repair quotes are lower or equivalent to other options Ive explored for garage repairs. Theyre always friendly to chat with and wont push be pushy about selling things for your car that you may not need.
