This man ALWAYS takes his time to answer my questions thoroughly and even throws in additional bonus tips in the meantime until I come back for my next visit. Very knowledgeable and always friendly to the Kia customers which is always great for business. Im surprised that he isnt a manager there since he already knows how to run things over there at Sunset Kia Sarasota. He definitely deserves a management position. The company advertises that they do not negotiate sticker price and that’s the convenience of doing business with them is that they are straight up giving the lowest possible price on their vehicles that is unless there’s an opportunity to gouge because of shortages and then they add on almost $5000 and the vehicle was delivered without the pinstriping without the door guards.

Sunset Kia of Sarasota is an excellent dealership to buy a Kia. Up until being recommended to Sunset Kia, my experience with Kia dealerships in the Tampa Bay area were poor at best.From Victor my salesperson to Kevin the general manager, and everyone in between who I met, all went above and beyond to make my buying experience exceptional.Sunset Kia has a very good inventory of Kias. They also do not force customers to pay thousands of dollars for items customers may not want. Don’t know how to rate this because I love getting my car serviced here and I t my tires rotated every service but I almost had a blow out on the road 100 miles from home. Took it to tire kingdom and he said that it looks like my tires haven’t been rotated for 20,000 miles. So now I’m not sure what to do about me not getting what I pay for. I get it we all mess up and mistakes happen but I feel like I’m getting scammed.

For the most part I have had no problems. I was very disappointed with my last visit. Great service department. My trouble was they had my car from Thursday- Tuesday with no loner car. So I was stuck taking a taxicab since we only have one car. Also no courtesy shuttle available to get my car when it was finished.

After being told by another dealer that the vehicle we wanted was not to be found in Florida, these folks produced exactly what we were looking for on the spot! They were friendly, courteous, very knowledgeable and beat the other guy’s deal by thousands of dollars. Don’t come here if you want a “free” trip to Mexico or a flat screen TV, but if you want professional service and a great price on a KIA, this is the place to come! We are very happy with our new Optima, the folks we interfaced with, and this dealership!

My wife and I started looking for a new car about 3 months ago. We stopped by Sunset Kia of Sarasota and spoke with Shawn Hamming. We drove a Sorento model they had on the lot and told him that we were just looking at our options right now. He kept in contact with us but not overly pushy. My wife and I decided the Sorento was the vehicle we wanted. We returned and specifically looked for Shawn. He had one ready to go, helped us look for different colors at different locations. We finally settle on a red Sorento they had on the lot. The dealership closed at 7, but due to a snafu with our bank we ended up staying till 8:40. Fantastic customer service! I was in the market for a Stinger GT2. I tried just about every Kia dealer from Ft Myers/Cape Coral on north and none would give me a quote without high pressure sales tatics. Sarasota had their prices right on their web site. Ron the sales guy was a pleasure to work with. The whole process, including getting a price on my trade in, took just a few hours. I drove an hour and a half to get there and it was absolutely worth it for the professional experience. Three weeks ago I called to get my Sorento fixed for a recall issue. After calling in, the service (who was very nice) said that the parts were on back order, but hed get them and I should call back in three weeks. No problem, totally understandable. Three weeks later and I call back, only to be told that they never ordered the parts and it would be another three weeks. The second star is because the service and people were kind and courteous. Frustrated that my cars sustainability and safety are not being treated seriously, and now I have to wait even longer to get my car fixed in a different city. Id just appreciate that issues like mine not fall through the cracks.

I love the Kia Optima and always use the Kia service. I think they do a good job although I was disappointed that this oil change was supposed to take 2 hours including the car wash but it took longer and I did not get a regular car wash, just a quick cleaning.

Very friendly location. Sales associates do not hassle you and are willing to negotiate honestly and come down close to dealer cost. Purchased a 2017 Kia Soul and would definitely come back.

Put down a deposit for a Telluride, and even got the delivery date. Then received a call that the vehicle had been “reallocated” (I assume to the highest bidder) Shoddy way to do business. We were on the way to sell our other car when this information came through. At least we hadn’t sold it because we’d be completely screwed. Don’t shop here if you value promises or good service.

I love, love, love this Kia!!!! I travel all the way from Marco Island and pass 5 Kia dealers that I know of and travel over 2 & 1/2 hours each way just to go to this Kia. Every service person there always makes you feel like you are actually wanted. Lou and Michael helped me this past time and I cant say how much I appreciate them. My car is always taken care of properly and if I ever have to buy a car again, I would travel across country just to give them my business because of how great service has treated me. Thanks Sunset Kia! Oh, the only negative thing I have to say... That in the short time if you wait for your car, you will gain like 2 pounds!!! You get so comfortable watching TV or on the internet but those treats that they provide just to make you comfortable is so welcoming. The warm cookies right out of the oven are scrumptious with cups of tea or coffee. And cheese crackers and granola bars. Oh wait, that was supposed to be negative. My bad! Nothing negative here!

Great place to buy a car, sales guy Dan Guthrie was awesome 5 stars for him and Mitchell Nelson. They stayed past business hours for me and were very helpful with walking me through the car buying process with no pressure. Dan made sure I was comfortable with all the features on my car and made sure all my questions were answered. Unfortunately when returning to Kia for a detail I was treated poorly by a gentleman in the service department. He was rude and unprofessional, although being treated this way and after spending a significant amount of money I am giving this dealership 5 stars because of the experience I had with the sales team.

Ive never had a bad experience at Sunset Kia. The only thing happened last time when they couldnt wash my vehicle because that employee was not there. Nor would they have someone just clean the inside windshield. Since my shoulder surgery, I can no longer do it.

As car dealers go, Sunset Kia rates pretty high. Even the service department is good, which is a positive sign. In my experience, at other dealers the sales people are great but the service dept. falls apart. My only criticism here is I told the service advisor when I made the appointment about a service bulletin for the door handle and when I got there they did not have the part so I have to go back again. Good thing Im retired and my time is not valuable.I am updating my review from four to five stars. I went back for the door handle service bulletin and a recall notice the following week. Although they still are unable to fix the door handle covers (one was broken) the staff there is so good that it isnt as frustrating as it could be. The service manager, Lou, is very professional and customer service oriented. I have a 2017 Kia Niro and I highly recommend it. The mileage is awesome!!

We were treated very well by the staff, but probably will not go back here, simply because of the distance involved, and because we have found a closer dealership that is equally good.

Attentive and prompt. But all Kia service centers are expensive. $230 for a new tire that would have cost $160 at Costco but they didnt have it in stock and I couldnt wait. Did you know tires are not covered by warranty, unless the tire is defective, when you purchase a new car? No road hazard or mileage guarantee on the tires that come on a new vehicle unless you buy separate coverage. Strange!!!

I love my Kia Sedona, I am not a fan of the dealership. They seem to only care about the profits and less for customer satisfaction. I am referring to the service center. I once have my tire replaced with their over price tires and it took forever to finish, they also promised to wash and vacuum the car which did not happen.

I have been taking my Kias here for about 3 years. Purchased one of them at this dealership. Have always had a good experience with the service department until this week. Unfortunately the customer service in the service department has declined so much that I will not be returning. My recommendation is to go to a different dealer for service.

We bought a used Soul the day after it was traded in and before they had time to do repairs/detailing. It needed the windshield replaced, new back back-up camera, bumper repainted, tail light & dashboard lights fixed. Antony took care of it all. Even covered half the expense to update the navigation/maps (an extra service/charge not included with purchase). It took a little time and a couple of trips (understandably) to coordinate ordering/installing new parts/servicing/painting, but very satisfied with the outcome. We will definitely go back there when its time for a new vehicle (but hopefully not soon!).

I was recently in for an oil change, service advisors nice, the establishment is clean and professional. I was very disappointed that my tire with a nail in it was unrepairable but they could sell me 4. I myself am a licenced mechanic in Canada and knew it was repairable so I went next door, bought a plug kit and fixed it myself. I cant believe they would let me leave and not fix it .... Very disappointed in that level of pushy sales. Also they took the liberty of doing a brake inspection without my knowledge. The 28 dollar oil change is to get you in the door, then they try hard to upsell other work. The overall experience was good, they even washed my SUV for me, nice touch.

I brought my car in for service and I have never had better experience anywhere. I usually put thisCHORE off for as long as possible, but the service dept. personnel made it a pleasant visit. Theservice writer listened to me and then explained what needed to be done...so well that I actuallyunderstood! When an issue came up about whether or not some of the work was covered underwarranty he called the service manager over, who handled the matter quickly ( and much to mydelight, in my favor). The service manager was was extremely polite, as was the writer, who was,I think, the assistant manager. As a matter of fact, everyone I encountered in the service dept.that day were pleasant and attentive.....and these days good service is EXTREMELY rare! WhichIs why I took the time to write this, to give credit where credit is due. SUNSET KIA IS WELLDESERVING OF 5 STARS IN MY BOOK !!!!
