Mark is the Worlds Best Framer. He has taken some very unusual requests from me for framing. Like old door knobs so I could use them as coat rack, beautiful Mola Embroidery pieces from Panama, and an old map that was so awful that I thought it should be thrown away. Mark turned it into something gorgeous and beautifully vintage. These are just a few examples of his excellent work. Pure talent. The gifts in the shop are wonderful too. I am in love with his EE.II.EE.II.OO steel drum sculptures. The shop is worth a visit just to see the his collections. Cool stuff!

I have had Marc frame at least 20 different pieces of artwork in the 12 years weve lived in Sarasota. He always does a beautiful job for a reasonable price.He also has a great sense of humor, so its a pleasure visiting his shop.Marc has beautiful taste, if you tell him the type of style you like. For instance, we have modern or contemporary preferences for our home here, and rustic modern for our moutain home. He always knows just the thing!Since its just him in the shop, do try to be understanding. If several customers are waiting, either look around his interesting little store or come back later. Hes terrific!

Very professional framer, took my suggestions and showed me what the finished would cost. Let him use his expertise, I always think thats the best, he has probably forgotten more about framing than I know.

Marc is AWESOME! The only reason Im giving him 5 stars is because I cant give him 10! Every piece weve had him frame for us exceeds our expectations. His eye for color is unlike any Ive ever seen. His framing work will make your art POP!

I guess this guy is some kind of local legend since I’ve been hearing about him from friends for years. The kicker came whenI called a different frame shop trying to find him and asked for the worlds greatest picture framer. They said oh he’s over on Bay Road. Would you like his phone number? Now that’s pretty impressive when the competition not only knows who he is and where he is but has his phone number at their fingertips. To make a long story short he did a great job, his price was more than fair and the job was done on time in one week.So my friends were right he really is the worlds greatest picture framer. I will never go anywhere else!

This place Ian AWESOME!I have been coming here since I moved to Sarasota 18 years ago. There is always something cool and fun. Sometimes I stop by just to say hello and see what just came in or hand out treats to the adorable house dogs.Mark is a great guy and by far the best picture frames in town.

I rarely trust people with any type of design work - Im a designer myself - but Marc with The Frame Shop really knows what hes doing. Ive had several works framed by him in the past year or so and each time he was able to select the correct matte and frame for the job. He selected colors I would never have even thought of and the outcome was perfect!

Ive gone to the Frame Shop for different items and every time I walk away super impressed. Marks craftsmanship and quality really is the best around. Ive been carrying around a ticket and booklet since 1979 and Mark took the tattered items and framed them with care. Now I have one of my favorite pieces of art on my wall. He also took a small original that I bought while on vacation - it was no masterpiece but Mark turned it into one when he framed it. His quality, prices and customer service really does make him the worlds greatest picture framer!

I came to the frame shop not really knowing what I wanted for my piece. The owner Mark spent almost half an hour with my indecisive self, and helped guide me to just the right option. His well thought out questions and plethora of ideas were exactly what I needed. Im very thankful for his patience and time! I went and saw Mark at the frame shop a few weeks ago. He did an excellent job with our picture and my wife just thinks its beautiful. Plus, he has all kinds of other art pieces and decorations that are for sale in his shop. Very interesting place. You have to see it to believe it.

Terrible experience. I had a couple of unusual pieces of art to find frames for and need the help of an experienced, professional framer. This guy was not that. He just tossed a couple of frames on the counter and kept asking me what I wanted. I explained that I didnt know what would look best and needed a good framer to give advice. It was clear the only experience he had was in framing easy pieces.I would not recommend this framer for a professional artist. He is either too new in the business or just doesnt care.I did, however, find a framer at another store that knew how to solve the problem and gave me several options.

Terrible terrible customer service, the guy from this shop is RUDE! I do not recommend this place, I went there to get some frames and he was impatient, not helpful at all, what a waste of time...

Marc is a wizard when it comes to framing, plain and simple. The service was great and the store is amazing -- I could have stayed there for hours.

I went into the store while I was waiting for my pizza next door and the man said what can I help you with and I said I’m just browsing he said ok I was in the store about 8 minutes and the man said if your not gonna by anything I’m going to close for the day.I am so appalled that I was told to leave and then I did find something for my wife that I would have purchased the man was very rude and unprofessional in my eyes be careful if your not buying before he closes

Outstanding Craftsman - I went down the street at a elaborate frame store, they quoted me a ridiculous amount of money - then I came to this artison -, he did a better job at a third of the price - he made a few adjustments later at no cost - I encourage you to bring your framing & art needs to this man - highly recommended

Mark is one of the most creative frame shops I have come accross. He martched the paint on my walls and created 2 pieces of artwork that coundnt have been a better match. The store also has some of the most unique gifts you will find in the area. I been purchasing gifts for almost 10 years from his store and everyone is amazed by them. I highly reccommend this place.
