Loved this sunglass hut. They were meticulously clean. There was only one guy in there today manning the store,but he was amazing. Politely greated everyone that came in, advised us after trying on or touching a pair to put to the side to be sanitized. He was like Superman! It was some of the friendliest,on point customer service ever. And, he helped me pick some great pairs of sun glasses πΆοΈ
Took a pair of brand new Ray Bans in to have nose pieces adjusted in. The dark haired heavy set woman started adjusting them. When I told her that I only wanted the nose pieces adjusted she said that would make them off balanced and continued bending and manipulating. Could not get them comfortable again. Went back and the gentleman made an honest try of it but could not get them properly fitting. She bent them unlevel and they were not willing to guarantee the work. They took a fine pair of glasses requiring minor adjustments and made them nearly unwearable and had no remorse. Although, they did say they would take them as a 50% trade⦠almost seems like that was your intention from the beginning.

My partner and I have spent a great deal of money over the years at Sunglass huts, not just at the UTC location but all over he country. We went into the UTC because 3 pairs of their Top-of-the-line glasses fell apart. NO apologies from Steve Jones, the store manager. He started to help us and then felt it necessary to leave us to check people out at the register. Completely understandable, what is not understandable is that 25-minutes later we are still standing there waiting for him to return. When asked, he replied: I have to help customers first. What are we? I replied. Thousands of dollars spent and he treated us as a nuisance. An inconvenience getting in the way of the real customers There were four other employees working who obviously were not trained to do anything other than welcome people into the store and clean glasses. Not acceptable. Steve never offered a solution, an alternative, we walked out with the knowledge that we will never be returning to a Sunglass Hut again. Steve Jones needs to learn what true customer service means or find a different job. People wonder why Amazon is killing retail? Talk to Steve Jones (better yet dont).
I wish I grabbed the names of the two ladies that assisted me today! Both of them were absolute lifesavers! They went above and beyond the highest expectations! They didnt have to spend the time and effort researching an old purchase for warranty purposes and they did without hesitation. I was in the store on Tuesday, April 20th around 12:45 pm. Amazing customer service here!!!!

Amazing selection in-stock with fair pricing. The staff was extremely helpful, knowledgeable, and there were no pushy sales tactics. We felt no pressure to purchase, however ended up finding a perfect pair of sunglasses for both my wife and I. Great job from both employees working on 10/24/2020 @ 12pm noon.
Stephanie and Brad helped me out a lot today. Great customer service, explaining every little detail about the 2 pairs of ray bans I bought. I was in and out within minutes. They were extremely friendly professional and pleasant to work with. Kept up to the covid-19 policy and cleaned every pair I touched. Great team to have around to take very good care of your customers! Highly recommend these two for your accessory needs!!!

Literally wish I could give this particular store 0 stars. I love sunglass Hut but this store has the most stuck up staff in all of Sarasota!They refuse to take any returns- make every excuse in the book. βOh you have to show us the card you purchased it withβ, I told them O do not have that card anymore.... and they pretty much said tough luck. No customer service skills at all. The manger must not be training them properly.Every other sunglass hut Iβve ever been to has had professional, friendly staff....
If it hadnt been for Paul our sales associate whom was very helpful and polite we wouldve simply walked out without buying the 2 Maui Jim sunglasses we purchased there today.The woman associate working there gave both my wife and I an unpleasant buying experience by displaying a total lack of professionalism. She rudely asked us to move out of her way to put something away while we were looking at glasses in that area, when she couldve simply waited until we were through. After that she then had used her hind area of her body to nudge us out of the area that we were already in so she could show someone some glasses. All she at the very least least say excuse me or had waited until we were through. Ill never go back after that rude experience. 7/16/2016
What a crazy experience. Tried to buy a pair of ray bans for $250.00 and salesperson tried to box up the demo glasses instead of brand new in the box ones. That kind of money to buy sunglasses that have been tried on and handled by how many people? Scratches, etc. The best part was that she didnt even say anything and if I hadnt noticed her doing it, thats what I would have gone home with. When I said something she replied rather irritated that it was the only pair they had. Keep them. Terrible employees at this location.
I came into the university parkway branch last week and purchased some ray bans for $206 from a nice friendly lady. However today I returned to the shop and asked the manager if they could take a look at the sunglasses I purchased that were not looking right and appeared to be bent. The lady barely tried to help me and when I asked for a new pair she wanted me to pay 50% for a new pair and there was no option of fixing the bent pair. I have been in the service business for over 17 years now and never have had this bad of an experience with a return. I ended up having to go to LensCrafters to get them to adjusted which they did for FREE! I am shocked at the customer service at this sunglasses hut and I am appalled that she didnβt even try to adjust a bent frame. Horrible customer service. WILL NOT RETURN!
