Recently brought in several coins from inheritance collection to be liquidated. Was very comfortable with the proprietor who was courteous, patient, helpful with absolutely no sense of pressure. A price agreement was reached, and having already been to another reputable shop, know it was fair. I highly recommend this business and am glad to add to their list of positive reviews.

I walked into Coastal Coin CO. And was greeted by a gentleman named Robert. He was extremely truthful, almost to a fault! He evaluated my collection and offerred me a very sizable amount of money for what Ive collected. After talking with him he was more than willing to cut me a check (great moral/ethical salesman) and after further discussion explained to me how my collection would only appreciate in value in the future. He further convinced me to bring the rest of my collection in only due to his own love for collecting and wanting to see what I possessed that he hadnt previously seen. This is the only fine coin/precious metals shop I will deal with and trust to deal with my collective valuables. I personally give them a 5 star rating and hope you bring them your business because its totally worth it.

I went to Coastal Coin after reading the online reviews and I am so glad that I did. I wanted to have my grandfathers coin collection assessed. The entire experience was awesome, the time spent and explanation on the value of the coins made me feel very valued as a customer. I sold the collection and felt the pricing was extremely fair. I stopped into Coastal Coin Co. and meet Robert (having read 5-star reviews about him and his store) and asked him to help me with completing my portfolio of Washington Quarters and Roosevelt Dimes. I was warmly greeted and he answered all my questions on coin grading and how he priced & graded his coins.Before too long, we were looking at several coins / coin collections and agreeing to prices. I felt very comfortable with his easy demeanor and courteous manner.I spend 3 hours completing reviews of Roosevelt & Mercury dimes, Washington quarters, Peace dollars and Walking Liberty 1/2 dollars. I left completely satisfied with my selections and was very pleased that Robert provided me the assistance & proper technique to package the coins in the coin holders,I left Robert a list of coins to watch for so that I can continue to update my collection.

Was searching for a Peace Dollar as a gift. Made it there 10min before closing and the guy was super nice, found what i was looking for and at the right price. Nice shop kinda tucked away but definitly worth checking out.The peace dollar i ended up getting was no more than some other places in town and a little better grade and pcgs certified on top of it. Totally pleased. They seemed to have tons of accessories for your collection. Holders, cases, etc so i will definitely be back when i want my next coin. Two thumbs up for this place!

The guy bought coins from me that he didnt really help me learn about. There was 1 certain german coin I somewhat regret selling to him now not knowing what it was an feeling like he got one over on me. I asked about the coin but he wouldnt go into detail....i shouldnt have sold it to him.

The guys are very helpful and pay the highest prices for coins. Definitely the best place to take collectible and vintage coins. They helped me filter through boxes of random coins patiently and respectfully

I walked into Coastal Coin Company after 2 disappointing experiences on the Main Street Area of Sarasota at other Coin Shops. I was totally surprised at the immediate difference. Robert was very nice and took the time to look at my coins and gave me a fair market price, did not insult me or make me feel like my stuff was less than as the other 2 shops did just so they could low ball me . I would highly recommend that you just go to Coastal Coin Company first and save yourself a lot of time and aggravation.

Coastal Coin is the best. I brought down my grandfathers coins last year, and these guys took me down the entire path of what the coins were worth, and why. One of their guys spent about a half hour with me, and it was very appreciated. I have been collecting coins for 45 years. I have been to at least 2 dozen coins stores in that time. Coastal Coin is a throwback to the best days of collecting, when the coin dealer was not a CASH FOR YOUR GOLD place, but an avid, knowledgeable coin dealer and collector himself. This is as reputable a place as you will ever find. Anyone who says otherwise is simply wrong or fabricating a story. They encourage the hobby, have plenty of periodicals like Numismatic News and Coin World, etc.. to read, and a great variety of items from early copper to modern gold and world coins. They will spend as much time as it takes to evaluate what you have, and it makes no difference if you sell or not. Make sure you visit them - whether you or buying or selling or just wish to ask questions about the hobby. The stock is always changing - its always worth a stop !!!

There are some awesome items in the shop, and if you have some spare time on your hands, Id recommend a visit. You never know what youre going to find.

I took some odd coins here to sell. I was impressed by how friendly they were to me even when I admitted I didnt know much about coin collecting.Most importantly, they were honest. I cannot tell you how stunned I was when they paid me over twice the value I thought the coins were worth. The price guide was right there on the counter where I could see it!! AND they gave me the full value for my stuff!I will certainly return when I find more coins.

I recently visited CCC to find my boyfriend an anniversary present. The store was pretty busy but the owners were so friendly and really approached my search for a gift with a sense of urgency. They asked me about the things he was interested in and showed me as many coins as I wanted to see, even though they were clearly quite busy and I clearly knew nothing about coins (haha). After spending about twenty minutes showing me different things, I found the perfect one! I bought it for a reasonable price and my boyfriend loved it! They have so many cool things to see and the store is extremely well kept and welcoming. Thank you guys so much for helping me with my search for the perfect gift! I will recommend Coastal Coin Company to all of my friends and family and will definitely be back again.
