I really like the direction Sarasota square mall is heading. They are doing a great job in providing space for local artists and restaurants to display their Goods. If you are out and about take time to stroll and enjoy the art work, do some shopping.Catch a movie and a cocktail, check out the new player’s location, grab friends and enjoy a concert, a painting class or challenge someone to a chess match try out the new plant based restaurant Palmer .. So support the locals but spending an afternoon here ..

Found this place from the back end. Noticed the Macys and got so much more. Artful souls dwell here and they celebrate with abandon. Catch a showing at the theater, buy or make art with glass.You need that giant fish statue. You know exactly where youd put it. Come take a walk around. You wont be disappointed.

Nice outdoor mall. Bright and clean looking. Lots of brand stores. Its fairly large, easy to get turned around if you arent used to it. The food court was meh. Not horrible but definitely room for improvement. The gator warning sign was a nice touch lol

A lot of shopping stores.. enjoyed quite dinner at Conners.. we had great service.

Perfectly cooked steaks. expertly coordinated and knowledgeable wait staff handled our large party flawlessly. top notch.

Love all.of the art classes inside. A lot of the stores are geared more toward the older generation but the mall is pretty cool inside. Love palmers nutritious you!

This is a good place to walk for exercise in an air conditioned environment. There are not many people there and most are there to walk. Many storefronts are closed and not many shoppers

We went to the vegan smoothie shop & the pink unicorn is so good! Nice not too crowded & though its not a big mall, its got the same vibe as a big mall! ✌️💚☯️🙋

No stores. Pero Google this is a mall all we saw was high end art stores, some jewelry stores and some high end clothing stores for adult people. Nothing available for young people.

I really only go here for Aldis. Aldi consistently has good quality food and an interesting variety of foreign treats that I love to get for my kids.

Beautiful mall in the heart of Sarasota! Wonder why so many empty spaces? Why they dont split huge spaces into smaller and local fashion and other businesses will rush into the mall!

Connors Restaurant is excellent in ambience, service and food quality. Everyone was pleasant and helpful. Jacob was an excellent server.

Walking in this mall during hot months is fun, lovely stores. Wish it was a bit more lively

This shopping mall has great shops like Macys, Talbot, Cine Bistro and many others.

We went to CineBistro and it was wonderful my husband and I had a great time the mall is different than it used to be but everything is changing in my hometown in Sarasota we had a good time

Theres not much in here anymore. I was mildly shocked. The art gallery was the best part.

I just went in to window shop this time. I needed to do some walking as well and its a nice place to walk and get out of the heat for awhile.

Connors is the best restaurant in town! Always a great experience and excellent atmosphere.

South gate mall nice stores not busy and a few restaurants attached

This mall has nearly nothing in it. Its sad but unless you want jcpenney or Costco this is not the mall for you, definitely not me!

LensCrafters. Love those guys. My second vaccine triggered an eye condition and they made me a set of glasses the same day that got me safely back on the road. Very pleasant and professional.

Interesting location, there are lots of arts shops and other adventures to be had. Yes there are still some of the regular shopping and theater.

I only had a chance to hustle through in my first experience there, enjoying the air conditioned, posh track-shapped mall while making my way to a SCAT bus. However, I hope to return either to enjoy dinner and a movie with one stop or simply people watch in the extraordinarily elegant environs.

This place is empty all the time. Even the restaurants are vacant most day. The Metro Diner closed after only 1 year. There is no safe walkway access for pedestrians or bicycles. They decided to put in more parking space instead of a pedestrian walkway. They dont need more parking spaces. The stores are empty.CAVEAT EMPTOR.I got hit on my bicycle by a blind lady driving a car in the confusing and parking lot. You take your life in your own hands just walking through the parking lot.

Aldis it was very nice they have what I need at nice prices and they have very good customer service very good employees at the cash registers in and out fast.

I went there for dinner at Connors . Nice seating outdoors. I haven’t gone inside to the mall area yet.

Decent mall but need more stores

Not a place for younger people. Not a very good mall and all of the sizes are wrong. Things will say XS or Petite but are actually a Medium. I think this is a strange place because all of the sizes in all of the stores are inaccurate. I just wonder if its on purpose to make people feel better? Or if its just not meant for people that are smaller. Maybe its the area demographics. Im not sure but it definitely doesnt cater to all sizes.

Connors Restaurant is ALWAYS PERFECTION!

The Macys at this location is the best in our area. Many of the sales people still dress and maintain a professional manner.Their departments are organizedand they are helpful and personable. Trish in Lauren is wonderful. Also Betty in shoes. She had a multitude of customers with no other help. She was calm, efficient, and really hustled to meet every customers needs.

I walk and shop at this mall everyday. Sarasota city limits has a mask ordinance. Today there were several non masked people sitting on the side of fountains, charging their phones, shopping with no masks. My friend asked one man where his mask was and he got angry. The owners of one of the galleries there stand out front and do not wear masks. The female security guard was no where to be found. My friend and I actually felt uncomfortable . What should we have done. We left.

Sad to say but there are less and less shops open here and this started long before Covid-19 hit. However, Connors at the Siesta Key Mall is a good restaurant that is still open.

Im always sort of empty Hub stores and customers but the ones that were open in the people that were there were very friendly very nice very helpful. Hopefully more stores will be going in there Macys has a really great deal on some beautiful paintings for $149 find enough wall space I would have bought four or five of them.

Nice, clean, friendly. Home to toojays restaurant where you can get best kosher corned beef in Florida. Great service, friendly helpful staff. When it gets busy, like around lunch, manager and cooks help wait staff so customers dont wait so long. Bakery and attached deli are exceptional.

I love and hate this mall. I want this place to be a fun. How do you do that with only one movie theatre? I like it I just wish it was more up to date entertainment wise.

They need to tear the place down and start from new😥 and I would be sad to see it go as a longtime resident. but its time, it is way outdated for the surrounding areas.. really the only reason to go there is to eat at Connors Steakhouse

We ate at Conners the food was excellent and so was the service.

I use this place for picking up my amazon packages and for that purpose it works perfect.

As always my experience was great at the Clinique counter at Macys. The associate is supper nice.

Westfield Mall is an interesting mall. Its strategically located on Tamiami and nothing spectacular from the road but beautiful inside. A favourite of ours is to drop the shoppers off at Macys while I run next door to the full service car wash and get the car cleaned inside and out. See car wash review separately.Westfield has many shops and restaurants to cater to all tastes and the Macys is lovely with many great deals no matter when you go. Parking is usually not a problem and the condition of this mall is excellent. Very good place to stay dry when doing rainy day shopping in multiple stores. I also love that it is not huge / overwhelming like UTC.

There is a great high-end shoe boutique inside the mall. Mostly mens dress shoes but there is quite a nice choice of womens shoes, too. Ive got eight pairs from this collection! All shoes are 100% European design and make from European premium leather and other natural materials inside and outside! Very comfy and elegant!

Like most malls in most cities, this place is dead.

This is a ghost town, especially with the closing of lucky market. I understand all the high end places moved to UTC, but still in the heart of downtown, this upscale mall should attract some high end retailers. Sarasota has the wealth, and with location being so good, am shocked this mall is failing.

The mall definitely needs to be updated. So many empty storefronts and this used to be a favorite shopping experience. The movie theater is a plus however.

We enjoy this shopping area. This trip we ate three times at TooJays Deli. We will go there again next trip. Everything was good from Reuben to Key lime pie

Anytime Im up by South Gate Mall I always stop by and see my friends over at Luckys Market. They have an awesome Sip n Stroll that is ingenuous. Love there great selections of bulk food and those hard to find items. Thanks to all the people there who make our shopping experience a real experience.

This is a great mall to visit. Check out Luckys for some good wholesome food and Connors restaurant is very great place to eat. I would not waste my time at Bravo restaurant.

This is the old mall where the Hooters used to be in Gulf gate.

Bravos is fabulous. I enjoyed the tomato bisque soup and a dish featuring cauliflower that was amazing! Ill be back for more! Great atmosphere and wait staff is friendly, too.

Love being able to come here

If you like to drink, youll get a generous pour. Food is good, nothing spectacular. Service is always great. In the theater, the popcorn is just so-so. You cannot beat the reclining seats. Bring a wrap, its always freezing in the movie.

The owner needs to keep up on the maintenance. Roof leaks & needing a remodel. Thats prob why most stores have left this mall. Same w Sarasota Square mall. Very disappointing. We need malls here for the middle class.

Love the newly remodeled mall however, it needs more retail to make it a destination. The new restaurants and Luckys Market are a very good reason to go there now. Luckys is a great little market on the concept of Whole Foods. Great wine prices even one at $4 bucks.

Very small mall. Not many stores. Lucky for me I was only going to the loft to make a purchase. Customer service was terrible or maybe I was the wrong shade 😉 not sure...Im pretty sure they noticed me before the older white woman with her daughter behind me to greet her and ask if she needed help with anything... Two people who walked out of the store with nothing purchased vs myself who spent a little over $200 🤷🏻‍♀️ but whos comparing right.
