Worst experience ever. Been with Verizon for 10 years. Will definately switch carriers. Manager Marque was rude, obnoxious, and in professional. He tried to tell me information that was I correct. Never even bothered to look me up in the system. No excuss for his poor customer service. I expect more from a store manager. What a joke

If is unfortunate that I can not give 0 stars. I have spent over 15 hours on the phone and on a chat this week to attempt to upgrade a phone. If I had changed carriers I could have received a brand new phone for free, but prior to this I had experienced good customer service so I wanted to remain loyal to Verizon. This was a mistake. After nearly 15 hours on the phone, during discreet events because I would have to return to work, I was told told that I had to go to a store. I looked on line and the store was open so I drove to the store to find it closed. I returned the following day only to be meet by a customer care representative that said I could not come in, only by appointment. So I respectfully asked for an appointment, he said the only opening was on Thursday (this was Saturday), so I made the appointment because I was getting no where on the phone. Thursday finally arrives, I make sure i am at the store by 7:00 pm, actually 6:59 pm only to find the store locked up and lights off. I am extraordinarily frustrated. I have spent valuable time attempting to upgrade my phone. I think I will simply take my business to someone who values it.

I went into the Verizon store earlier this week looking for a newer iPhone since mine was broken, and I was walking around clueless checking out the phones and this nice gentleman named Joey came up and asked me “how can I help you?” So sincerely and politely that I felt welcomed immediately. He answered all my questions patiently and in a way I could actually understand. He helped me switch over service and explained thoroughly what was going to happen with my other plan, how my new plan was going to be set up next month and the charges as well. I will most definitely be coming back to this store to see Joey because of his friendliness, consideration and personality.

Went to the store to upgrade my current phone. The store had no customers and had three employees. One sales representative, one appointment setter and the appointment setters assistant. They informed me that I needed to make an appointment. There were no appointments for another week to which I could attend. I walked around and asked questions and even asked if one of them could help me seeing as how the store was empty but they absolutely refused to provide customer service. That is total BS.I understand the CDC guidelines but the three employees did not wear mask, were all hudled up besides each other and not maintaining any social distancing and also the store has no plexiglass barriers. So is it that you are following CDC guidelines or is Verizon and its employees using the virus as an excuse to give terrible service? One of those three employees could have helped me, and if the other stores are shut down then why not get more sales reps? I am very disappointed with this outcome.

Good luck at the company store. First time I went, it was not busy, but they couldn’t help. Next night I allowed more time and was told I needed an appt. there is a two week wait. Supposedly 2 of their 5 stores are closed so why not bring those people over?Very polite, but very disappointing. I give them 0 stars!

Quick visit to purchase a phone case. The staff member showed me where to find the case for my phone type and while I was looking he went to the back and brought out all of the cases that werent on display. That was nice because I ended up buying one of the cases from the back.There was plenty of standing room in the store it was a comfortable temperature. If you had to be there for a while it wouldnt be too bad.Expect an attempt to sell you something you never new you needed.

If you are in the Sarasota area, or anywhere close, make the trip to this Verizon store for assistance! A manager there named Josh went so far above and beyond to assist us with a “lost” phone I almost don’t believe it! Someone turned in my husbands iPhone that had been dropped down a sewer drain somewhere in GEORGIA. Josh called twice to make contact about the phone— and thinking it was a scam, I didn’t return the calls. He reached out another month later to make sure we didn’t want to discuss turning the phone in for recycling and I agreed. He then called back again to let me know there was a $178 value on the phone and worker on getting us a gift card for that value for 4 days. Can’t say enough about him— thank you, Josh!!!!

Their response below was canned to make it look like they care, but they still refuse to reach out.UPDATE: After customer service replied to this review, Ive emailed them three times and they wont respond. Goes to show how much they really care. Apparently its just superficial.HORRIBLE customer service. Ive been trying to trade in my old device for a month and a half and no one at Verizon can help. Finally went in to the store and manager Josh Brubaker was unwilling to help. I understand he cant figure out what was wrong, but he wasnt willing to troubleshoot or spend any time with me. Unfortunately the employees here are amazing polite and super helpful. The issue here is Verizon policies and the company as a whole. It puts the employees in really bad situations with customers. I just bought a Samsung galaxy s20, in the first week there was issues when over heating and apps crashing. Well in the process of trying to get it fixed the screen cracked.(while speaking to them) . Bc of the policy they wont fix my phone now. So now I owe $1000 on a phone that doesnt work and their scape goat it broken glass is now not their responsibility. So with all that said im super disappointed with the customer service and policies. For this I just ended my service and will not pay for anything. Id rather face the cocequences of collections agency than to allow Verizon to take advantage of me. They will never have my service again because they dont care. Every family member I have will no longer use either bc they see how upset this experience has made me. All of my coworkers will be transferring to different carriers as well. And for all my streaming friends and future associates and friends will hear about how its not Verizon responsibility to help customers with their phones nc of the very policies they created. The employees on the phone will sit and talk circles for hours with you blaming policy, even though they work for the company that created it. Policies just lost a customer of many years and created a experience that could not have been more negative for the consumer.

Had issue with my cell phone. Visited Verizon store on Tammiami Trl in Sarasota. Cell phone would not ring. The service person was able to solve the problem quickly by reviewing my applications and identified the app that caused the problem. Out in 30 minutes.Great service! Thank you VERIZON!!!!

Very busy store, but great service. I had bad experience with Jeremy at the Pelican Plaza Authorized Dealer location, he didnt want to assist me in changing my plan (I guess he wasnt seeing making a comission) and told me to call 611 or go to a corp store which landed me here. Igor assisted me and he is very knowledgeable and helpful. One of my phones had been retired and I have to upgrade he showed me 2 different options.SUPER Associate. Pelican Landing staff obviously needs to be trained by corp staff on customer satisfaction. Good Job Igor.

Four boys at the store- 4023 S Tamiami- wouldnt help my 73 yr old mother purchase a new phone and said if she did make a purchase she would have to figure out how to connect and sync- ALL BY HERSELF! She was wearing a mask, but they apparently had better things to do even though there were NO customers in the store! Terrible representatives for Verizon! Im considering finding a new company if Verizon doesnt resolve this situation! Unacceptable!

They cant spell customer retention! We went looking for options to replace one of our two phones on the plan. The person we spoke with was condescending and made us feel like he had much better things to do than deal with us. He never bothered to talk about options, just gave us prices for high and low phones. Never even bothered to check that I was due an upgrade. No salesmanship here or customer service. Thinking very hard about dumping Verizon for a company that wants our business.

Buyer beware. I was misled into buying a 5G WiFi router and was told that I would get 50GB + 30GB and instead I only got 27GB. Upon returning the equipment to this store where I’ve been doing business for years, I was treated with extreme disrespect by the manager. To make matters worse, even though I returned the equipment, I continued to get charged $79 for the monthly service that was supposed to cease upon the return of the equipment.

FALSE PROMISES, ----, had software issues with our phone, John seemed friendly and acted like he wanted to help, which he did. After that we were told by John, that we had opportunity that we were eligible for watches and that our new future bill per month would be around, $170.00 per month, our bill in January $277.00, and bill in February was $240.00, how would this make you feel, ????? we feel we were taken of advantage of, and my husband being a senior, were both on fixed income, John promise us, that our bill would be again around $170.00, I realize in sales you work of commission, but you should tell the truth and not lie on the cost when you give verbal agreement to customer.

It appears to be a very knowledgeable team, which know how to work together with technology issues. Product displays are good and interactive.Staffing seems to be abundant, organized.I liked Ben, polite, calm, quietly knowledgeable, and helpful with solutions to my phone warranty issue.I only wish that after a few hours and a trip home, and back, we knew Verizon did not stock my phone for replacement. Otherwise, 5 stars. A huge improvement from last year with rude store personnel.

Sales people at the Verizon Store know how to up-sell and manipulate the customer. Bought a new iphone; salesman tried to include $120 in accessories. Bill was corrected; no itemization could be printed. Then, new monthly bill couldnt be itemized - amount wrong. Salesman said it would be corrected eventually. What?? Next, you pay a $40 upgrade fee when nothing is upgraded. We called Verizon Corp. afterward; they said the $40 was to offset business expenses. What?? Be prepared to get hustled. Check everything over carefully before you leave!

This is the best Verizon store I have found in terms of product displays. It was busy, however, and unlike the store this new one replaced no one was designated to be sure to greet everyone. No one approached me. The Muzak, or whatever the music was, was rather loud and new gen. The store dress code was extremely casual.

On the 24th of October I walked into this store ready to buy two phones with accessories. I was greeted by a young man named Mario in jeans sneakers and a t-shirt. He took my name and told me there were two people in front of me. At that time there were five people working with guest. I sat down looking around one of the gentleman walked off the floor never came back next the young woman working walked off the floor and never came back that a young man walked off the floor and never came back I then questioned Mario. Asking him if they were coming back. He then told me not to tell him how to run his floor. I just wanted to know if people were just going to keep walking off the floor and not coming back he was rude obnoxious and the least customer service I have ever seen in my 14 years in Sarasota. After his obnoxious comment I said okay fine Ill take my business elsewhere. He said thats fine go ahead. I just cant believe that if corporate store is running this way then I went to another Verizon store and another Verizon store and in both of them were told that they hear that all the time. I was shocked to see how casual way of dress pretty crappy. You lost my business Verizon corporate.

Just awful. The sales representatives will tell you anything. All they want to do is sell you new equipment or upgrade your plan and get you out the door. Then you find out that what they told you is completely wrong. When I called the store and spoke to the manager, Anthony, he told me it wasnt his fault and he refused to do anything. First of all, I love Verizon Wireless and the customer service I have received everywhere else. This store though is the exception. When I called Verizon about activating my replacement phone, they told me to go to this corporate store to get a blank SIM card. The employees refused to give it to me stating they had to physically have my phone and activate it themselves. When I told them that I have spoke to Verizon twice now on they phone about this and that I was told to I could just get a blank card and do it myself, the employees there started getting rude. When I tried to take a picture of an employees nametag to report him to Verizon I was told that I had to leave the store or they would call the cops. I called Verizon back and they apologized for the lies and atrocious customer service that store provided. They gave me directions to the store on cattleman road and said they would be looking into why this store would treat customers like that and bold face lie about Verizon policies. When I went to the cattleman store to request a SIM card for my own broken phone 6 months ago, I was in and out in 2 minutes without a single problem. I decided to call the Cattlemen store and they too said they need to be the ones to activate the phone. I called customer service back again and they got the general manager of the stores on the phone and he says the stores said they needed my phone number not to activate. which is a LIE. I have no issues with giving them the number, I have issues with giving them my phone, as I signed a document at work saying no one else would ever be in possession of my phone that was not part of our companies IT, for security reasons. Verizon is very close to loosing a customer they have had for over 10 years now.

Depending on the day, Verizon can be your best friend or your worst enemy. How a phone company can be an enemy its complicated. To help in their effort of alienating customers, they hire people of specious intelligence Worthen / change to repeat everything two or three times in the hope that somehow you will understand them and follow their unique language.On the other hand its a miracle that my cell phone works at all and I can speak to anybody anywhere endlessly and never get lost.Verizon is the only company I found that never fails to get a message sent anywhere, except bar Harbor Maine. Nobody is perfect

My Galaxy S6s processor stopped working. Jehuda, the Verizon technician, spent an hour back dooring the transfer of my contacts and 2,000 plus photos. He had to try a number of ways as my old phone continually flashed the error messages as he was working the solutions. When asked, he said that he never saw these errors before. Well done Jehuda.

Went in this morning the lighting port on my less than 1 year old iPhone is acting up. I walk in the representative says “it’s broken are you interested in a new device.” I cannot afford a new one and she just told me to go somewhere else. Didn’t even bother to pull up my account or even try to help me. I call Verizon to complain and they inform me that I still have a few weeks left on my warranty and will replace my device. They also told me “Verizon stores don’t care about people they only care about sales.” Couldn’t be more true I have multiple similar issues with the store where they refuse to help you unless you are going to get a new device. In this case the woman that waited on me tried to scam me into buying a device I couldn’t afford even though my current one is under warranty still.

I went into this store this morning to get an Edge Upgrade on my IPhone. No problems to speak of but I needed to leave for an appointment, so I asked the saleswoman if my stepson could come in and upgrade his phone as well. She said to just have him ask for her and she would take care of him. Within 20 minutes my stepson had arrived and told the greeter that he needed to speak with the woman that was helping someone at the time. (Only female working) First, he had another salesman come over to help him and once they realized he was 16, he told him that they needed a parent. That’s fine, although had they let him speak with the saleswoman he had asked for that would not have been an issue. I was disposed of so he called his mom to drive up there and let them know what we had discussed prior. She also had an appointment so she left. When I got home, my stepson had the original phone, as well as a new phone. When I asked him why he still had the original phone, he told me the salesman told him he could keep it and sell it or trade it, whatever he wanted to do with it. Mind you, I still have a YEAR of payments to make on that phone. Apparently, and I found this out later, the salesman put the payments of that phone onto another line we have, sold him a new phone not on a payment plan and charged all of it to my account. So instead of walking out with an upgrade at no additional charge, he charged my account almost 2 thousand dollars with the additional case and screen protectors, PLUS I’m still going to make a years worth of payments on a phone that is now disconnected!So I went into the store, obviously a bit upset at the situation. My original saleswoman from earlier in the day came to help me and I explained the situation and she began to look into it in my account. When the salesman of my stepsons phone came over I let him know that what he did was an obvious scam to boost his commission and he went and brought the manager “Jeff” over. Jeff asked me the situation and I explained what had happened, in which he immediately started trying to make excuses for how all of this was just miscommunication. I’m not sure who would want to waste a couple thousand dollars when they had an upgrade available but I told him that he just needs to return the phone they sold him, and then upgrade the phone. He then said “so what do you want me to do?” I literally just told you what I would like you to do and you ask me to repeat myself again. The entire time the manager was smirking and being condescending about the entire situation, making excuses for what was clearly not miscommunication if we are upgrading a phone. In the end, the salesman was trying to return the phone and make the switch, while the manager just wouldn’t stop making excuses, standing in my face calling me and my son a liar about asking for the saleswoman in the first place, so I asked him to just walk away. There was no reason for him to be standing there escalating the situation while the man was quietly trying to solve our problem. This request for the manager to walk away clearly was the wrong thing to say to someone of great stature in Verizon Management! He told me I needed to get out of his store right now! Even as we left the store he stood at the door screaming to me that I was banned from the store for life as I was across the entire store parking lot getting into my truck!I’m not sure why I would want to ever enter a store that tried to rob me of a couple thousand dollars, but I’ll take the banishment nevertheless. My opinion may not matter, but I can guarantee that the customer service in this store is not indicative of Verizon itself. I’ve dealt with Jeff Lynch (not the current manager who’s name is unfortunately also Jeff) for many years both with personal lines as well as multiple business lines and the store used to be excellent. I did get my issues resolved very quickly and with understanding at the N. Cattleman Store, of which I would highly recommend.

I was sold a defective item by Verizon which is widely known as defective (confirmed all over the internet and by the salesman himself) but when I brought it in asking to be replaced or for a greatly discounted replacement they said no as it had been over a year (1.5 years). I have been with Verizon for over 15 years and have never asked for any sort of reimbursements, replacements, warranties or anything. This was over a $40 clear case that turns brown shortly after purchasing. Absolutely ridiculous!

I made a mistake about this location. This location has plenty of staff even though they couldnt help with returning a Jetpack and removing from monthly bill by directing to call customer service. I confused it with the Nokomis location.

I live in Sarasota, FL, but have my Doctor is in Bradenton. I always look forward to that trip, because I can plan on going to the Cracker Barrel restaurant to eat. It so good & reasonable; --- & I can always depend on the great food, but also shop there, too. My last trip there, I spent $70! My problem is that why dont we have a Cracker Barrel restaurant in Sarasota FL,a very wealthy, & working class city, besides a ltourist town,too! Ive been in Sarasota since 1957, & grew up in St Louis, Mo & was very acquainted with your restaurants during my dating ! years. I dont understand it. Other than the Bradenton restaurant, the only ones close by are on the Interstate (75) exits @ Bradenton,FL &Venice, Fl!!! Thats pretty far from the city of Sarasota, FL!!!Please look into it. HORRIBLE SERVICE by Manager!! I bought a router online in late Sept, and later that day realized that actually I didnt need it. So I called CS right away and canceled the purchase AND service. (It is documented in their notes that I did so). A few days later I received a $180 bill for the service I canceled.I called CS again, and they assured me that the accnt was canceled and nothing was owed. Then the collections dept started calling. I again called CS, who said the $180 bill was incorrect, but since the accnt was closed, they couldnt issue a credit for the $180. The agent said a local store could handle it, so I went there the next day (11/8). After I politely explained the issue, the Solutions Mgr (Mario) very rudely stated that he wouldnt issue the credit because I didnt buy the item from that store. Of course, I explained that CS had sent me there, but he flatly refused to offer any solutions. This lack of service and bad attitude was astounding and uncalled for, so I shared my experience with other patrons, and Mario insisted I leave the store.I will NEVER do business with Verizon again!!

My daughter has been using a hand me down, ancient phone for over a year that doesnt really work. I wanted to upgrade her for Christmas. I was told by customer service (I called first because I had questions about upgrading without screwing up our plan) what exactly to tell the associate and that I should have no issues. I told him. He said he wasnt familiar with that procedure and called customer service with me from the phone in the back. The agent on the line typed out explicit instructions and noted it in my account so he would know how to do this. He starts the process and goes back to get my phone- and then Kevin the store manager happened. He followed the sales guy out to me and proceeded to hover over me (kind of intimidating) and berate me in the crowded store in front of everyone about how unethical it was of me to ask his associate to do what customer service suggested and how dare I compromise his stores ethics and values- *read how dare I compromise his commission. Im thinking this whole time how bad it sucks that I spend my entire career helping the elderly and disabled- but apparently my ethics are not good enough for Verizon. How sad.Spoiler alert- he refused to do what customer service suggested. He went on to tell me that he has worked at Verizon for 10 years (10 years of intimidating and belittling customers- I wonder if he got a cake for that?) and intends to retire from there- so dont plan on getting any better service any time in the next 30 years or so. He continued to explain to me in a hostile tone that if I wanted to follow the rules I could but a $300 tablet and get a new phone free- I said I didnt want or need a tablet and he basically said too bad- that was the only way he could help me. I left. Crying. He was hostile and intimidating and I have never been spoken to like that in my life.

My mother was vacationing in Florida and unfortunately damaged her phone pretty bad. We live in Massachusetts so I called this location to make sure they had the phone she wanted to upgrade to. I spoke to Jeff he was the manager there. Unfortunately they were closing soon so I let him know she was on her way. She made it there just before close and they helped get her back up and running. Being away from home and not having a working phone is pretty stressful. So huge thanks to this store and Jeff for taking care of my mom when she needed it the most. She is back up in running with her new phone and was able to video chat with her grand babies again while away. Thank you for your help Jeff!
