Out of the 8 vehicles I’ve bought from there, only one had a minor issue and that was taken care of immediately. Marcin, Samer, Troy, and the rest of the staff are wonderful to work with and I send everyone I know to them because I trust them. Yes, I’d even send my own mother there. I had my eye set of this raptor in Bradenton and planned on buying it that day. Before making the trek up to Bradenton I stopped by gulf coast to look at this truck my brother told me about. They had a lot of really nice vehicles on the lot but the raptor was a definite stand out, They had it out and ready for a test drive. Now granted it I’m a younger kid who’s worked really hard my entire life. Other dealerships would judge me or come at me like. “You sure you can afford these types of vehicles”, not gulfcoast… they were super stand up people. Nice, and easy to talk to, told them about my interest in another truck somewhere else and they were even willing to work with the competitors trade in price to satisfy my needs. And in about 15 minutes. I had the keys and my hand and was off. Really enjoyed their business and will send anyone I know looking for there next car or truck their way.

I have now purchased two trucks from Gulf Coast Auto Brokers. Sales personal are professional and I never had any problems with them. Watch out for the extended warranty sales pitch from the finance manager. My truck purchased from Gulf Coast is a 2500 series Dodge Ram Diesel. There was some aftermarket work done on the truck and this was discussed in detail before the sale was complete. I was assured that the warranty was covering the truck as it was sold. NOT THE CASE. now I am stuck with a 5K transmission rebuild. BEWARE of extended warranty claims as they are false.

What a great experience! Lets face it, weve all dealt with the typical used car lots at least once, and we all generally walk away feeling just a little bit dirtier than we did when we walked in. This place is absolutely the opposite. I sent a message to Mark Vann after seeing a vehicle online that I was interested in. He responded to my questions quickly, so I jumped in the truck and made the trek from Temple Terrace to Sarasota. When I arrived I was greeted immediately. And when I say greeted I dont mean swarmed by pushy salesman. I was pleasantly greeted and pointed in the direction in which I could find Mark. I introduced myself to him and he knew who I was and what car I was there to see. Instead of automatically trying to talk numbers or trying to dig financial info out of me, he simply went and got the keys and we went for a test drive. When we returned to the lot we went straight to his office and just talked over some real numbers without all the sales pitch and without any pressure. It was almost like just visiting a buddy at his job. The amazing thing about this whole trip is that Mark and his crew are so real and down to earth that they didnt even sell me the car. The friendliness, professionalism, honesty, quality of the car, and the overall lack of the stereotypical sales tactics sold the car all by themselves. I simply cannot say enough how awesome an experience it was for me. Ive worked at new car dealerships before and have visited my share of used dealerships as well, and have NEVER witnessed such honesty and professionalism as I did. On top of that I drove off with a VERY nice car at a heck of a deal. Mark Vann and the rest of the staff here have mastered their craft and I HIGHLY recommend you give them the opportunity to give you the same experience!

Purchased a Lexus ES 350 and was told by Harold the day we were getting the money the car was fine. It was shipped yesterday with paint not matching on the passenger side door and fender where it has been in a accident. Left taillight CRACKED. Passenger rims scarred up. What happened to being honest. You knew it was this way before you shipped it. Poor workmanship for a car with low miles. You should be ashamed. I recommend that NO ONE purchase anything from you unless they can put their hands on it

I’m not sure what this company’s reputation is in the local area, but I would strongly caution against buying from them out of state. I purchased a 2004 F250 Harley Davidson Edition (VIN 1FTNW21P94EC16725) with 79k miles, 1 owner, listed as “mint truck” (currently listed as “nice”) and rust free. “Mint” under any circumstances will naturally be relative to the vehicle’s age, but I’m certain that under no circumstances could “mint” be used to describe a vehicle in need of $4000+ worth of major body work, as determined by 3 different repair estimates of $3700, $3900 and $4900, respectively (there were additional damages and rust as well ). After viewing over 40 pictures online, speaking with 2 sales reps in addition to the general manager, and asking several times if there was anything that could be seen or was known to be wrong with the truck, I was repeatedly assured that there was not. The GM even stated that this was “the nicest truck of this year range and model he ever had on the lot in his 14 years there”. After paying $900 to have it delivered, I noticed significant damage to the top of the cab within minutes of it sitting in my driveway. Also, the missing weather stripping had allowed water to seep in around rear window seal (rear power window also does not function properly).Their remediating offers were 1. $1500 refund and call it good. 2. I pay shipping back, they “fix” it without actually repairing it for roughly $700, most likely with a hammer, bondo and paint match (GM’s blindly made guestimate….which to be so adamant in one’s conviction that the estimates from 3 highly reputable body shops, each in business for well over 20 years were essentially wrong and overpriced, while concomitantly admitting to having no auto body experience of your own as per our conversation, is a bold statement indeed when made in absolute ignorance), and 3. I pay return shipping, contract is cancelled and funds returned…minus shipping. All offers were not only insulting, but highly frustrating as the truck never should have left the lot like that, which the GM interestingly stated himself in one of our several phone conversations. After the third estimate, which I had solely for a good 3 figure average to send to my attorney for small claims court, I decided to return the truck as there was additional (and pretty severe) rust found on the crossmembers under the bed. Parts of the undercarriage had also been spray-painted in an effort to hide….surface rust most likely. Essentially, a $4000-$5000 repair could have easily turned into a few to several thousand more. Lots of other cosmetic issues with this truck and no reasonable person, including judge and jury, would believe that such damage could be overlooked by so many people when I found it within minutes and minimal effort. Burden of proof to the contrary falls on the dealership. Purchase agreement had to be signed and payment made before they would post for shipping, so no prior inspection could have been made. If buying out of state, review Florida’s Unfair and Deceptive Trade Practices Act, which covers attorney fees in addition to repair costs if you feel the vehicle is actually worth keeping. The truck is now listed for the same price as it was initially, $21,888. It is highly unlikely that any repairs were made as they simply changed one word in the posting, “mint” to “nice” and posted for sale within a day of its return.Lastly, after they received the truck, it took 5 business days of constant calling and hounding for them to initiate my refund. “As is” and tricky fine lined purchase agreements are not always a “gotcha” regarding legal recourse, it just depends on your specific circumstances, determining the actual “worth” of the vehicle and finding the right attorney(s) dealing with this kind of thing (for future reference Gulf Coast Auto, fix yourselves).
Bought my wife a suv no problems in last 3 years other then when I first got the car and wasnt told that windows didnt go up and down and abs light came on 5 miles when I left .but motor and transmission been strong no issues ...
I had been searching for a clean BMW! I went and called several dealers and was not impressed. I looked online and found Gulf Coast Auto in Sarasota! I saw a vehicle I was interested in online, gave these folks a call, and ended up driving home in said vehicle same day. Troy answered my initial inquiry and met me when I came down to see the car and test drive it, and once it was decided Id buy the car also arranged for the car I drove (that I wasnt trading in) to be delivered back to my house so I could take the new one home. Art handled the financing efficiently and thoroughly and without pressuring me. To top it off, the car is in fantastic condition and low mileage. Id recommend them to anyone looking to buy a quality used car.

Shady Business Practices. I was purchasing a 2015 Cadillac Escalade from out of state and went through all of the financing etc. My credit was pulled 2x once by the dealership and once by the financing company. I was told by the finance manager I have great credit and the vehicle was locked in and mine. I told him I was even willing to put 5-10K down over the phone but was told they do not do that. They said they would put the financing paperwork in the mail that day (Wednesday) and the vehicle was not going anywhere. The next day (Thursday) I did not receive the paperwork in the mail, So Friday at 9am I called my sales rep to ask what was going on. He informed me that the vehicle had been sold to someone else Thursday evening. I asked him how could this be when I was told the vehicle was being held, my credit was pulled and the paperwork was in the mail. I was told it was his managers decision. I asked for the manager to give me a call. Upon receiving this call the first words out of the manager mouth were You should be glad you did not purchase that vehicle, let me explain Then goes on to tell me that it had Transmission issues and shudders when shifting between gears. Then tells me that there were metal shavings in the transmission fluid. So either they sold this car out from under me to someone else and their were not any issues and he is trying to cover his @$$ or he was going to sell me/ sold someone else a vehicle with transmission issues. Either way shady business practices. I do not recommend working with this dealership as you cannot trust them!

Husband and I went there on a Sunday, just before closing.. we were quickly greeted by Harold who introduced himself to us, said if you are interested in anything, I’ll be inside... Immediately my husband said “we’re buying a car from here”. It was exactly the kind of salesmanship we wanted (meet and greet and Don’t follow us around like a puppy dog). Found a beautiful Volvo and went in to see Harold. Even though it was very close to closing he offered to let us test drive the car, which we did.. got an exact amount the car would be including taxes, tags, etc and we left a small deposit.Called Harold the next morning (which was a holiday) gave info for financing and within an hour we were notified to come get our Volvo!!!!Besides Harold, Patrick (financing) was top notch as well.. got us a very low rate which made the experience even better!!!These two are very good at what they do.. Troy worked with me remotely to get a good deal on the truck we purchased. The dealership was honest, timely, and overall very helpful.
My son went to this facility a little over a week ago to replace a truck that he had just lost in an accident . We traveled there from Naples and they assured us they were a quality place of business as they had a reputation to upkeep. Our sales person told us the truck we were looking at even though it was older and had many many miles on it, had been checked out thoroughly by their mechanics and told us that the only issue they found was some thing with the exhaust. While they offered no warranty the fact that 4 days later the truck wasn’t drivable, had to be towed to a local mechanic here in Naples who gave us a list of over $4200 worth of things that were wrong and that had been wrong when this dealership sold us the vehicle. When contacting them about this the reply was sorry about that but we can’t guarantee anything. I hope you realize this truck was the main source of my sons business, his ability to get his son from place to place and only means of transportation. I hope you know that you refusing to even reimburse him for part of the repairs that are having to be done on this truck is bad business. I hope you slept well when you saw him drive off your lot excited about his new purchase and knowing that there was no way that truck was going to last him another few weeks. I am a business owner myself, I know you can’t please everyone and you can’t guarantee everything but what you can do is reach out to try to compromise on a resolution.... that’s what good business people do.

Awesome dealership, and awesome staff! I personally worked with Basil and Art on buying a 2015 Jeep Wrangler, who made the deal easy and painless. I had to do majority of the deal over the phone, being that I was 4 hours away. I had been shopping for jeeps online and after talking to many dealerships these guys were the only ones who seemed as eager as me to make the deal work for me and them! When I went to pick it up, any question or concern I had they were quick to either provide the answer to or get assistance to get that answer to me. Basil gave me ample time to inspect and drive the jeep, and Art sat with me and broke all the numbers down! I definitely will be calling on these guys in the future! This is truly a great dealership Troy was straight with me from the start. He let me inspect the vehicle for an hour or more and was never pushy. Only reason they are not getting five stars is the lady that does the title work was on call and took over an hour to get there to finish my transaction. I had a 3 1/2 hour drive ahead of me and it made my time getting home late. Other than that a very great experience!
My experience with golf coast auto was a money pit. $4000-$5000 down, plus payments, Astronomical interest plus all the vehicle repairs. Car was cleaned so I could not see oil issues before I bought it. The entire 3 years I owned the it was constantly in the shop for engine issues. Burning a quart of oil per hundred miles. A GMC Denali with 70,000 miles on it was junk from day one Golf coast auto said they couldn’t help me with any of the issues. Fearing it would break before I could pay it off I lost 7 thousand dollars trading it in. As soon as GMC recalled the vehicle they wanted me to trade it into them for another car. I won’t purchase another vehicle there. I went down the road to Sunset Chevrolet we’ll see how they stand behind their vehicles.
I purchased a Hyundai and Basil took great care of me. He was extremely helpful and responded quickly every time I called. Truly a great guy. If you want truly excellent service I suggest using Basil!

I’m an 18 year old real estate sales associate and I’ve purchased cars from Mercedes Benz of Wesley Chappel and Reeves BMW Tampa, I was super skeptical to buy my next vehicle from a used car lot but decided to try it out anyway. When I showed up (un-announced) I was greeted by Troy who I informed I was looking at the Silver 535i. Without hesitation we went on a test drive and walk around and not once felt any obligations or pressures which I normally had encountered at the previous dealerships. The car was in excellent condition and freshly washed/cleaned. I mentioned I would like to pay cash which is normally frowned upon in the used car salesman world but Troy showed no disappointment or annoyance. We went inside and glided over the numbers and I was not given some used cars salesman speech or bs up charges and I went through with the purchase. In and out in maybe less than 2 hours which is unbelievable I couldn’t be happier with my experience. I highly recommend Gulf Coast Sarasota and especially Troy, ( the whole staff was great too ). I’d put 10/5 stars if I could.

I bought a 2014 Ford Focus st for 16,000 From them but they failed to tell me that the car had tune on it. I didn’t know at the time. They also failed to go through and make sure that nothing what was wrong with it. i took it to my my Mechanic and he discovered that the stock intercooling pipe was blown with a giant tear down the center not only that there was a misfire in cylinder 1, they even tried everything to figure what was causing it and then they found out that the Piston is blown. So I have this focus that I can even drive that I’m paying and they won’t do anything about.... DONT BUYYY ANYTHING FOR HEREE........

I had mostly a good experience buying my BMW i3 from this dealer especially since I was not local and the paperwork was done very efficiently via phone, text and email. But some details of the car like missing second key, floor mats etc where not informed prior to the sale. Lack of second key seriously affects the value of the car and I have to pay around $400 for a duplicate key. Floor mats not as much but still an expense. I wouldn’t trust this dealer again due to these omissions.
Experience with the dealership was so horrible. I can say the only good experience I had was with my salesman Matt, he was very helpful but the head sales manager was not helpful at all. Bought a 2013 Ford Mustang gt as my first car and this car was amazing until I found out it was listed as frame damage at 3 different auctions so I can’t trade it in. I brought it to the attention of the owner of the dealership and head manager and they denied it when I showed proof and they have been ignoring me when I try contacting them to buy the car back so I can get a newer car. Never was given a CarFax or offered one and when I asked that head salesman he ignored me. Very bad experience with higher up.
Got a good price for my vehicle. However I had my mechanic look at it and it needed windshield washer reservoir and new wiper blades. We waited 5 hours for this easy fix to be done. Finally after being lied to about the repairs came home to find out wipers not replaced (they sent them by mail). And the reservoir was not touched. A week later I find out the ignition was faulty, and a transmission mount was broken. My part of the bill was $550. Beware of buying a car here. They don’t Even give a 30 day warranty. This was the second vehicle I bought here and the last. Had problems with the first one too Never againJoseph viturale

Fantastic experience! I can not say enough about the positive experience we had with Basil, Art, and every person we came into contact with.
