I went here for a last minute specialty balloon order. The staff was very helpful, friendly, and the balloons were a big hit.

I just had a baby shower and it was Halloween theme 🎃 👻. Well its actually very hard to find orange balloons. Well I found them here! Omg they have this area in the back with a whole bunch of things in every color. I literally didnt want to leave this store. I will be back again and again.

I dont know why anyone would even go to Spirit Halloween for costumes. This place has way better selections and value.

Needed a toy rifle for our 11 year old Mandalorian, Amazon wanted $50, Party City wanted $27! Quick, easy and local! Staff was great!

I got 14 balloons and agreed to the extra charge to have them stay longer than 24 hr. Got them 8pm and they are almost all on the floor 12 hr later.What a bummer...staff is friendly but should know not try to sell something that doesn’t work

I was visiting from out of state. I needed items to celebrate my grandsons 7th birthday. I got everything I needed but the cake. :-) He likes PJ Masks and they had birthday cake plates. I was able to get items for treat bags. I was so excited to find a pin the tail on the donkey game. They even had a nice assortment of gift wrap and tissue paper. I was so happy that I didnt have to spend my first day of vacation going to several stores. The prices were reasonable. This is a great one-stop shop for birthdays.

Did not have Hawaiian decorations and ALL of the employees were kids and did want to help you and when I walked up to them they all walked away!!! I will NEVER go there again. IT WAS AWFUL

Since you asked, very disappointed. We drove over 30 minutes to go to Party City. Called the day before to be sure they had what we wanted. Got there and was told it would be a hour wait to blow up 2 balloons. We chose to by a helium tank and do it ourselves, but not the balloons we wanted.

This review is for incident on Sunday 10/25. The main character Balloons is half deflated when i got home and party hasnt even started. What an eyesore!!

Have everything you might need for all occasions. From birthday to Halloween or just general fun clothes, masks or balloons.

Thank you to the two women (I believe their names are Maddie and Christina) working at the store today doing curbside pickup. As Party City finds new ways to keep us celebrating during this time, there have been some glitches with their online ordering for pick up and same-delivery system. I didnt receive an email stating that my balloon order was ready for pick up, so I called the store about a half hour before close. Maddie picked up the phone cheerfully and was quick to check on my question. When I arrived to pick up the order, Christina (I believe) came out to the car with the order and followed Party Citys guidelines so I could drop the balloons off for the birthday girl.I really appreciate Maddie and Christinas positivity, help, and diligence during a time when its worrisome to interface with the public, no matter the amount of time.Thank you ladies for keeping the party going!

Terrible customer service. I showed up at 9:30. No one in the store but for 2 young female workers. I asked for a cartoon costume for 3 of my grandchildren. 3 times i went for help. They just pointed.. I left the store and spent $220 elsewhere. I would never go back

I ask her what her name was and she stated it was Bri. I was beyond impressed with this young lady, she seemed very young but so professional, polite, and kind. Very helpful with all the halloween costumes

2 horrible experiences. The first one I ordered balloons online for my sister’s birthday... after I placed the order I decided I would call the next morning as I needed to ask a question about the order. The line was busy. I tried again in an hour, it was busy again. I tried another time that day, same result. I then tried one last time the NEXT DAY and it was still busy. When I went in to pick up my balloons I made a comment about the phones and the lady laughed and said “yeah that happens”... I put the balloons in my car and after a 45 minute drive, one was already deflated... my second experience happened today. I picked up an order for my mother’s birthday which I also ordered online. I ordered 3 items and they provided me with 2 and tried to send me on my way. I inquired about my third item, and the same lady who made the snarky comment about the phones being busy insisted I didn’t order a third item. After showing her the email confirmation she decided to look for my item. Once she found it, five minutes later... she handed me it and walked away. My boyfriend asked if this balloon could be inflated with helium instead of air and she said “no, there’s a straw in the package” and just kept on doing whatever she was doing. I was upset as what she handed me looked nothing like what it did online and she was everything BUT helpful. Beyond disappointed with BOTH my visits. Horrible customer service, from the woman who handled my orders twice. Unfortunately I do not know her name, but she’s dark haired, wears a few rings on her left hand, and seems to be a manager of sorts as she was training people both times I came in. I will NEVER use this Party City again. I’d rather drive out of my way then deal with her again.

Well stocked and staff was very helpful and attentive. Much better costume selection than the pop-up halloween stores - also less chaotic. They may not have the costume instock just because the picture is on the wall - if you plan to get a halloween costume, dont wait until the last minute when everything is sold out.Costume prices seem a little high but theyre consistent with other stores so I cant fault them for that.

Bought 2 huge #6 mylar balloons. The employee told me they didnt have helium. And told me to go to Publix. Where they will probably charge you $5.00 ea. to fill them. I was looking at 20 helium canisters they had for sale. I suggested they use them to keep there customers happy. She said its not cost effective. Bye Party City.

RIP off store! Sold me a helium tank and they refused to fill it! Then charged me $33 for a new one when you can get one for $20 online. Also rude and incompetent staff gave me attitude when I asked why they dont refill them. Change your policy and refill the tanks! You will lose all your customers like you just lost me!

Everything is unorganized, they have a pricing on a thing but when scanned, its double the price. The girl on the register with glasses on was super rude!

I do a lot of catering, and come here often for supplies, and items to make my caterings stand out. They have a lot of product here, but I have found that it is very expensive. If I have the time, I try to order it on Amazon, as I can get the same things for a fraction of the price, but it is nice to know that they are around the corner. They literally have something for every occasion.

Absolute worst staff I have ever experienced. They are completely rude ignorant people that dont want to be there and are not helpful at all. I bought balloons and decorations from LTM party and it was 100% better and everyone was so wonderful.

I called Party City to order balloons for my sons birthday party tomorrow. The woman told me to have my credit card ready and she would be back in 2 minutes. 16 minutes later she came back and in that time I called Publix and had my balloons ordered and spoke to the nicest man...and I saved money! Thank you Publix for not making me wait like Party City did.

Ive gone here many times. I have three children, so lots of parties. The last time I went, I came to return and item we didnt open/use. The man was really rude to me. I couldnt understand what I did wrong, other than walking into the store that day. I have a hard time wanting to return to this store. Unless Im being rude, there is no need to be nasty to someone who didnt cause your bad mood originally.

This store is amazing! It has something for every event imaginable. The store is set up very methodically with event items grouped together. Whether you want to be a roaring 20s flapper, a pilgram or Elvis for Halloween, plan a bachelorette party or celebrate Christmas or the 4th of July, you can find what you want at Party City.

Nice store but customer service was lacking

The slowest cashiers on earth in the most understaffed store in town. Zero sense of urgency like you would not believe. If you have time, just go by so you can experience what Im talking about. Too bad its the only party supplies place in town now or I wouldnt be going.

Because they had the right costumes

Was dissapointed prices were kinda pricey and definately didnt have hardly anything i was looking for. balloons by the way are filled with half helium half air thats why they dont last long from party stores. for latex get the hi float it seals the inside and holds longer . dollar store is the only one besides a privately owned helium tank that puts true helium in it balloons.

Both Sarasota locations have the worse customer service! After bad service at both locations I figured I better leave a review.Last Halloween I was at the University store and all the teenage workers were having a pow wow around the register and I needed a large cauldron down because they had them shelved on the very top shop that is almost to the ceiling! The employees were rude and acted like I was bothering them asking for assistance and said they would send someone working on the floor over to help, I waited several minutes and no one ever came. I keep looking back at them conversating and ended up climbing the shelves myself with a plastic scythe that went to a Reaper costume to help knock one down. No one even came when the cauldron hit the floor from me knocking it down to.Then just last night I was at the Bee Ridge location and needed to purchase balloons and I waited at the balloon counter while the cashier checked the people in line out smiling as she kept looking over at ne waiting and once the line was gone and I was the only one waiting she went to walk toward me and then she turned around walking back to the register and I thought maybe she needed to grab something before coming over to help me, at that time someone from the isle shopping just starting walking up to the register and she ended up checking her out and left me standing there, even though I was clearly next and she didn’t even have the decency to say “I will be right with you”. I asked if there was someone else that works the Balloon counter and she said it’s just her there and the other guy was on break. It was 5:30pm on a Tuesday and the girl working the counter had long black hair and black glasses. I walked out and bought bigger and more stylish balloons for much cheaper on Amazon and Publix will fill them up for me cheap.Save your time and money and shop online

I just had the absolute worst customer service experience at this location. The guy ignored me when I asked him a question earlier, then didnt greet me as I came up to the counter or tell me my total. Zero communication. He was slamming things around in front of me including the phone as he hung up on another customer without saying goodbye. He was very obviously having a bad day, but he shouldnt be taking it out on the customers.

I ordered 2 bunches of 6 latex and mylar balloons and also 5 bunches of 3 latex. Balloons were not bags therefore were all tangled By the time I got to venue. Very disappointed.

Employees in the backroom crying about their job, every other word was the F bomb... my son was not the only child in the store. Disgusted.

Wandered the store aimlessly looking for an item the 3 to 4 employees there never asked if I needed help when I did ask for help they were less than helpful told me Was in aisle two or aisle nine but would not come from behind the counter to help me find the item I scoured the aisles with no luck ended up leaving empty-handed and annoyed will not be back The employees on Sunday are lazy and apathetic of your business.
