Environeers is the kind of place that makes me miss the mountains and reminds me I need to get outside more.I wanted to try on an Osprey backpack before buying and Im so glad I didnt order it online! I was welcomed as soon as I walked into the store. The staff were helpful and friendly. They carry a nice selection of quality products. They even offer a military/veterans discount, which I always appreciate, but it means more and feels more generous when its offered by a locally-owned company. Ill be back any time Im planning an outdoor adventure!

On a recent vacation I stopped in to Environeers. What a place! They made me feel welcome and at home. I did some shopping for a very special friend and they were extremely helpful. They were not pushy but were there to help with any questions I had. Their inventory is top notch. I bought a pair of Destroyer pants and my boyfriend loves them. I have since ordered several items from them since I am 12 hours away and they are just as helpful. I wouldnt consider buying anywhere else. Cant wait to get back down there to visit the kind staff. They are fast becoming friends!

I bought a beautiful pair of waterproof hiking boots. I have a wide foot and am difficult to fit because of a bunion. The staff person I worked with only showed me boots that fit my needs. I was thrilled with the service and selection.

This is a fantastic store loaded with quality equipment for outdoor adventures. My son and I found everything we needed here for our backpacking trip along the Appalachian trail. The employees are knowledgeable and very helpful to make sure you have the right gear for your adventure.

The place is completely loaded will the coolest stuff for the outdoorsy, but its not browser friendly. Can I help you, can I help you, can I help you, can I help you... Hey... Can I help you.... Or maybe theyre just commission-only sales folks ;) I never feel comfortable enough to stay there long enough to buy something...haha.

This is one of my favorite places to go do a walk about 1 Saturday morning. I love their great Kama I called a outdoor gear including clothing, climbing equipment, outdoor shoes, knives and camping equipment. The owners are very knowledgeable and very friendly and will go out of their way to show you around and let you know about the different kinds of equipment and what you can expect from it. They have been members of our community their entire lives and are very well-versed in outfitting people for Adventures both close by and out of the country.

I never found an outfitters store with camping/ hiking equipment in SW Florida, but on my way to the Appalachian Trail, I found this store and it’s awesome!! They have quality equipment which can be pricey, but it’s worth it. Picked up some nice gloves, pants and dehydrated foods!

Environeers is one of the best shops of its kind anywhere! Stan and Carter and their staff are incredibly knowledgeable about their merchandise and about the types of outdoor activities for which it is intended. For a pretty small shop, they carry a wide array of the very best clothes, equipment, and supplies. Great place to shop if you are about to embark on an adventure…cant get that sort of personal service in a big box store!

Im so glad I was told about this place. So many varieties for campers and for those who love the outdoors. A bit pricey but worth it. Staff need to be more conscious of behavior when people of color enter their store. Very uptight and they were so obvious that they were watching us. My husband was in law enforcement before retirement.

I just made my first purchase from Environeers and it wont be my last. I normally like to shop without the help of a store employee, however I was not sure which product would work best for me. After originally declining help from the very polite staff, I asked for help. I am very glad I did. The very attentive staff member recommended a product/brand that I never would have tried otherwise. I could not believe how much I loved this product. I cannot thank Environeers enough for introducing me to a line of products that I absolutely love. If you have never been to Environeers, I highly recommend that you go. I could not have had a better experience!!!! By the way, in case you were wondering, Kuhl is the name of the brand. You should try it.

I never actually made it into the store because they were out of what I needed but I was so impressed by the customer service over the phone he did everything he could to help me I didnt catch his name but it sounded like he was the owner.

Spent about 20 minutes here getting boots. The service was great and helped us with all shapes sozes and styles.. Got hiking boots and the owner checked the price on Amazon and lowered it to that price plus 10 percent.. saved me $40!!! Definitently recommend this place! Great for everything outdoors !!

Bummer. Drove from North Port to get here at 11 AM when the shop is supposed to open, no one here... locked up tight, hung around for 20 mins. Hard to support small biz when the doors are locked during operating hours.

I read all the online reviews, and my big takeaway was that people were surprised and frustrated by the return policy. I initially researched and purchase a pair of hiking boots online, and was frustrated that they never broke in property, and I wasted almost $200 on a pair of boots that dont fit. So thenI came to a place where they know what they are doing. Phillip took the time, and helped me into the right hiking boots. I could not be more pleased the the level of service, and products they carry. And by the way, the return policy is very prominently displayed all over the place, so Im not sure if the signs are new, or people just dont see whats around them. I attached photos.

This is my favorite new store....not cheap, but the definitely have great quality gear for hiking and climbing etc. They carry Kuhl, and I love Kuhl. They do run great sales though, and they have a reward system!

I bought a pait of boots for a hunting trip last year. They felt great in the store and walking around in Florida. In Idahos mountains a manufactures default came to light. I threw them in the back of my closet in disgust. Fast forward 8 months I bring them back to Environeers and the replace them on the spot. Actually they upgraded the to the newest version and never ask me for a dime. That is proper customer service and why I will shop with them instead of just ordering boots off the internet.

In fact they tell you you can return items, just do not tell you only for store credit. so when you take home items, at their urging, and decide to return them they try to stick you with store credit and say you should have seen the note on bottom of receipt!! who would look for that when an employee just assured you you can return any items!!!!not upfront way to deal with customers and when you get the owners involved they actually will circle the wagons and call you, the customer, a liar!!! there are better places and people to spend you money with. Stan and Carter Tracht are the new owners since 2014 it appears....beware!!!

Agree with previous post : inconsiderate, uncaring and kind of rude staff. Luv the brands : will find them on Amazon, not my fault. Before the owner says I tried to return shorts without receipt : had my computer showing the charge and only wanted to exchange for a size smaller. Your only differentiator is service and your people dont even get off their chairs or show any interest. Shameful in this day and age.

I am planning a LT thru hike this summer and am working with AT thru hiker Brian at Environeers who has given me some great tips on how to pack my Osprey Atmos 65 to maximize space and reduce weight. I have added the Osprey Grab Bag to the pack, very convenient access for snacks and essentials without removing the pack. The new owners at Environeers, Carter, Stan and their staff are very knowledgeable, friendly, and will put you into the right gear for your adventure.
