We lost our house batteries while visiting Marina Jack for a few nights. We were stranded away from home until Gerardo quickly came to our assistance. He replaced all batteries quickly and got us back on the water.Thanks, Gerardo!

The stuffing box in my 36 ft sailboat was leaking badly while cruising Sarasota. Gerardo came to my rescue. He made time for me and fixed it rather quickly. Cost was reasonable. Definitely would recommend his services.

I sincerely can not speak highly enough about Gerardo and his company Marine Service Mobile. For more than 8 years he cared for my 37 Silverton. He was responsive to issues that arose, even things that I needed help with shortly before shoving off. Found Gerardo through a friend whod used his services before. I needed routine maintenance on an inboard diesel. Gerardo was professional, punctual and fair, left the boat cleaner than he found it. Highly recommend.

Gerardo and his son are outstanding. Until it was sold Gerardo took care of my 42 foot 2000 double cabin with twin 350 Cummins. After he took over from another mechanic two years ago I never had an issue. He replaced one of the two air conditioners and purchased the unit at cost. He NEVER marked up any item that he purchased for the boat and even negotiated a price reduction at the yard where it was hauled and painted. He does NOT pad his hours and has a great work ethic. He is now taking care of our older center console and since he has done a few things to it- it has never run better. I can’t say enough good things about him.

Gerardo (G&J Auto & Marine Service in Sarasota) has been my mechanic since I bought my 32 Sea Ray 4 years ago (docked at Marina Jack). It was then 15 years old, so there has been a lot of work to get it in good running condition and to keep it well-maintained. Gerardo is an excellent mechanic - dependable, hard-working, skilled, and trustworthy. He is very good both at fixing problems and at anticipating preventive maintenance that is needed, but without over-selling me on the work. In fact, he has been quite good at finding cost-effective solutions, to help me keep my costs down while still making the fixes needed. Based on my 4-1/2 years experience with Gerardo, I would not hesitate to recommend him to a friend.

Dont Use G&J AUTO AND MARINE SERVICE INC., Sarasota, FloridaI have a 280 Sundancer, and I was having problems with the starboard engine. I was referred to G&J.Guardo guesses at what is wrong. I was billed over $600. He never checked the basics, in my case cylinder compression. Instead he swapped parts.I had to get another mechanic who promptly checked the basics and found I had no compression. This means a minimum of a head job and possibly more. I elected to be safe, and I replace the engine.I asked him to make it right, he refused.

I have had gerardo work on my engines for the past 12 years and being in the yacht charter business for the past 15 years I have learned to depend on gerardo to be reliable,reasonable and competent. I have also had him work on my trucks in my trucking company. He always seems to have a way to get all parts either new or used without any mark up like previous mechanics. Highly recommend
