The foundation she recommended for me is absolutely perfect and just what I was looking for. The shade she picked out for me matches my skin perfectly. I came in last week to get color matched and advice on a liquid foundation and powder, and I am still not over how perfectly Raven nailed the best products for me. I know very little about makeup, but I gave her general concerns and she did her thang. She was super knowledgeable about each brand and it’s ingredients, and picked a foundation that has already helped improve the texture of my skin. I’ve had a couple friends already comment on it, and I give all the credit to Raven any time lol. Go see her for real!
I visited the store to exchange a perfume I received for Mother’s Day. My husband got me the Chanel Chance perfume but I wanted Noir instead. When I asked the employee she told me that if the perfume wasn’t on the shelve they don’t have it. I ended up asking for a refund. The same associate told me I needed my husband cc to proceed with refund. I left and came back later same associate assisted me again. Turned out she didn’t need the credit card, in fact she didn’t even asked for. The money went back to his card. I Waisted my time thanks to her incompetence. Stay away from here, go to department store or High end stores where they provide better service for same price. I visited Macy’s and I got what I was looking for and they even give you a better shopping back.
Luckily, we found a great Sephora at UTC mall, between Sarasota/Bradenton. Not only has an overabundance of make up and items; however has the MJRAD system for acne prone teenagers. Also, noted Chanel #5 perfume and many, many other brands. I wouldve liked to have had someone to help me with make up, since Ive never wore it. This was my first time here and I know,. it will not be the last. Only problem I saw was people putting their fingers and hands in the make up on the counters, instead of having a pleget or cottton ball. This is the reason that I did not try any on. Thank you
I had my first brow appointment with MANDI today. She was very professional and friendly. She showed me all the products and explained how to use and apply. I will definitely be back. I recommend MANDI 100% !! She was awesome and made me feel very welcoming.

I had a return from an online purchase and was so pleased with the customer service in your store today. I was immediately greeted by Sam walking in. I expressed I just had a return today and sadly wasn’t shopping. :( Jason at the front desk was a ray of sunshine.. super personable!! We chatted a bit about the products I brought back and he had some recommendations for me. I was going to stick to my Smashbox Studio Skin but didn’t need it just yet. He told me about a great promo they had running. So of course I grabbed some. When it didn’t ring correctly he didn’t hesitate to get Sam and correct it. I told him if it wasn’t part of the promotion not to worry about it. I appreciate his helpfulness and eagerness to help. Sam was extremely helpful too. I have already told a couple friends to ask for them next time they need recommendations! I should mention I always have a great experience shopping here. Today was above and beyond.

A employee makes a big deal because my mask wasn’t fully covering my nose I mean how ridiculous it’s not like was walking in without a mask like how all throughout the mall lots of people aren’t wearing masks at all and no one gets told. Sephora wasn’t even crowded at the time so honestly it’s all about wanting to control the customers. No other customers were around at the time so honestly it’s stupid for the employee to make a comment.

Usually buying my products there. Always ask not to give me a paper bag (no need to kill another tree, right?) and place the products in my bag when paying for these. Never he an issue by doing this to any store.Funny brought After check out and paying for the products, the cashier Elizabeth, retained the products until I click ok on the credit card machine, after the transaction was approved.... odd....

I dont do much makeup but wanted to write this as the assistants here were great, and especially Frank who did an amazing makeover for an event! He was very attentive, clearly a real makeup expert and made the visit so much fun. Wonderful place. I highly recommend it!

My second home I swear! I love the selection they have, the employees are always there when you need them and everything is easy to find. Great return policy too! I wish they had a better reward program but its ok.
The store has its policies with all the safety guidelines to follow. Very clean, the staff is very friendly but for some reason they tend to follow you around. It is a bit uncomfortable.
Melissa took care of me today for almost 30 minutes. I needed help with my dry, flaky, sensitive skin on a budget. She tried various products on me to make sure they wouldnt irritate me and made sure they did what they were supposed to do. I left with a cleanser, exfoliator and 2 samples. The girl at the cash register was nice enough to remind me of my birthday gift as well. I never ask for help here usually, but highly recommend that you ask Melissa for skin care needs. She clearly cares. Thank you to everyone for being amazing!
I got a facial by Jason last week and he was the best! Hes friendly and I can tell that he is very passionate about what he does. I will definitely be back! Thank you Jason!

The store was very nice and organized. I shopped for products in 2 departments. The associate listened to the information I gave and expertly shown the best for my needs. In the foundation department I was given 2 samples for me to take home and compair before I made a decision. I will be shopping here again. Wonderful experience.
I absolutely love Sephora. I’ve never had a bad experience. However, I was in Sarasota for the weekend and thought it would be fun to get my makeup done for a wedding. Terrible mistake!! Jason did my makeup and holy cow was it awful! I looked like a clown. Makeup was caked on, lipstick wasn’t in between the lines. My eyeliner was as thick and uneven as can be. I expressed that I wasn’t satisfied with my look, but Jason had a client that had just arrived so I just left with the mess on my face. I ended up racing home to wash everything off and do my own makeup. This is not what I had wanted for an already hectic day.
Right away 2 different employees asked me if needed assistance and even though they were busy and close to closing, a color match specialist (Andrea) helped me right away to find the perfect foundation color. She was very friendly and helpful and after describing my skin type to her she gave me some other recommendations to try. Definitely would recommend Andrea because of how friendly she was, especially if you’re intimidated by makeup stores. All of the employees look like they have amazing makeup skills, but sometimes going into Sephora some employees seem like they have a “my makeups better than yours” attitude. Didn’t feel this way with any of the employees who helped me.

Super friendly staff on the floor. Quick checkout and its xmas season so it was busy.... Lots of items to choose from and tons of testers for literally everything.
Frank did a color match for my friend and I. He was awesome and made us feel like we were just chilling and doing make-up with a friend. He was candid and funny. Both my friend and myself felt like he has a very good eye for what he does and we were both VERY pleased with his recommendations!

On vacation I purchased Coco Cabana cream ( that I had previous purchased online and loved). Unfortunately it was rancid, discolored, and off smelling. To make it even worse I traveled home to northern NY where there is no Sephora located so Im out $40 dollars.
I love getting my make up done here. Just sucks that the prices of the make up are insanely high. Thankfully, I only go get my make up done once in a blue moon so I only have to drop $50 here and there.
Love the many choices and service. Prices are okay. The ladies are always willing to help.

Romaisa: Manager at the UTC mall in Sarasota Fl. had the “discretion” (according to an 800 number of Sephora‘s) to credit me for an unused product but chose not to.I read some of the other reviews including Yelp 👎🏿Used to be fun & exciting make up store for me to visit. NOT NOW.I’ll go to Bare Mineral’s where there isn’t so much cancer causing ingredients to sift through.
They are always soo super helpful! Ive never had a bad experience at this location, Ive had my makeup done here, help with getting a new concealer, blush, brushes and advice on hair products.

Blown away by Mollie at Sephora! She was WONDERFUL. I have been to many Sephoras including the Tampa and Orlando Locations, yet Mollie has topped any experience I have ever had. She tried multiple products until we left happy and truly listened to what we wanted and gave great tips! If you go, ask for her! Best experience yet.

My young daughter does pageants and also requires very careful managing in high social situations such as Black Friday (many people.) I switched to Sephora from being with MAC for years, and a “manager” refused to service my daughter’s needs for pageant coverage. As a business owner I understand a high volume environment, but staff was gathered together and not busy. I grew to love Sephora hence my switch from MAC to Sephora. I was told that matches cannot be done, which is untrue, I myself have had them done and I have also brought others in to have themDone. I walked directly over to MAC and my daughter was matched and educated on how to save on the holiday. Very terrible service by UTC Sephora on Black Friday.
Love the latest layout of this store...friendly staff and helpful if you need it. I usually know what I am going in for but always leave with more goodies than I expected 😃

I’ve never felt so profiled at a place before. I was just looking at the face masks while my girl was getting something and everytime I look up there was someone staring at me. They made it seem like I was going to steal something they had someone next to me the whole time. They had five different workers ask just me if I needed help walking past me and stuff like that.
Had my makeup done at the Sephora counter. Was so amazing came back again.

Disgusting treatment of a disabled customer.I have WALKED into Sephora on countless occasions and have always been greeted as I walked in, and approached at least twice with offers of assistance - even around Christmas.On March 12 I entered in a wheelchair - I was not greeted even though there were only less than six other customers in the store, nor was I offered assistance at any time. I wheeled around in circles for a full five minutes, if not more, looking for a particular product and was completely ignored. I finally had to track an employee down and ask; she actually stood watching me approaching, with me making eye contact and obviously heading for her, and didnt take one step towards me or even greet me, I had to initiate the conversation.I had gone in with my visiting teenage niece fully intending to have quite the shopping spree. Instead, I picked up the one product I definitely needed for that evening and we left. If I had been able to drive myself then I would have gone to Ulta to make even that purchase. Im fairly sure you lost a customer there - not only was she upset on my behalf, but also extremely disappointed to miss out on the shopping, though she fully understood why we were leaving.I am utterly disgusted by Sephoras treatment of someone in a wheelchair. Ill be walking again in a few weeks but I will not be walking into a Sephora. Out of consideration for the countless people who will never be getting up out of their wheelchairs, I will never again shop in any Sephora. For shame!
The cashier short changed me. I usually do my Sephora shopping online but I was in the area and thought I’d stop by. I got all my items and went to check out. The lady told me the total was $37.82 so I gave her 40 dollars in cash and she gave me $2.18 cents in change. When I got home I was looking at my receipt, and I saw the actual total was $27.82 not $37.82, leaving me with $10 short of change. I would understand if if it was a few dollars because people make mistakes all the time. But $10?? That’s not a mistake. Especially when the machine tells you what change to give the customer. Stuff like this is the reason I do my Sephora shopping online. Not going there again.
Cashier who rung me up overcharged me for concealer and blush. When I asked her to get the manager, she just straight-up gave me an attitude and refused. I didnt get the products I wanted, so I turned around and left.
Refused my exchange/ broken item from a SEPHORA INSIDE JCPENNEY. Told me to go back and return it there, keep in mind I live closer to UTC so they insisted I drove 30 minutes all the way to Westfield mall.Got to Westfield and they told me that the original Sephora I went to should have done the exchange that there was no reason that they shouldn’t have refused it!!!! Told me it’s not the first time this Sephora refuses people’s return/exchanges

Unfortunately I cannot rate zero stars. What a demoralizing and anxiety inducing experience I had. Upon walking into the store I am amazed at how made up and plastered these employees look! I get that they work in a makeup store, but relax with the blue eyeshadow and red lipstick, it’s not only intimidating but I also don’t want makeup advice or recommendations from you. I move on and proceed to look for some skin care items for my acne, which I tend to be sensitive about. As I am browsing the skin care line, an employee comes up to me and comments “That stuff will work wonders for your skin” happily I look at her and ask her if she’s tried it, and she responds, “no I don’t have oily or acne ridden skin, but I have a friend who uses it and swears by it.” So offended that she announced my skin affliction like it was nothing I placed the product on the shelf and proceeded to leave. She was young, and not very tactful. I will not be shopping at Sephora again, and will bring my business to Ulta.

Don’t shop at this store unless you want to be followed around like your stealing and watched like a hawk. They make me feel like a delinquent just because I’m young. Stopped spending my money here and brought my business to Ulta where they actually treat their customers with respect. Not to mention Sephora’s online tax and shipping fees are astronomically high. Unfriendly service and very judgemental staff. They follow me around everywhere and ask “if I need help finding something” no matter what isle I move to. I feel so pressured every time I’m in there that I don’t even get the time to pick out what I want. Terrible staff.
There is one lady that is always welcoming and polite. She deserves a better store. This Sephora is not what it once was. The new staff members resemble clowns and they dont want to work. They are not informed. They appear to be in an alternate universe. I prefer Saks Fifth Avenue makeup department. The staff is welcoming and they have lovely advise and samples. Dont ask the staff at this Sephora for anything including a sample that would require them to work and they hate that. I know customers can be the worse but I cant say that the staff members are just being cautious. They rarely say hi, hello, may I help you? The atmosphere is very odd. The blond female with questionable features is mad as a hatter. Hold on to your purse in this store. Want to purchase gifts for your friends and family, go to Dillards, Macys makeup department, Kiehls and Lush.

Staff is unfriendly. When asking where I could find my $100 worth of products I was told that its back there. Everyone in the store was off-putting, completely over madeup, and unhelpful. Ill be going to Ulta like I usually do from here on out.

I’ve stopped going to Sephora because of people that work here. Rude and unwelcoming. They looked up my foundation shade and said “um we don’t carry any in that shade”. She wasn’t helpful with anything else and was downright rude.Oh and don’t even dare ask to sample a perfume that retails for a $100. Do yourselves a favor and go across the street to Ulta.

I went to return a pallette and because there was already a return with this purchase there was some confusion on the receipt the red headed manager refused to admit it was a staff or computer error so when I came back with the other receipt to prove I never recieved payment and I still had the pallette she claimed I already returned, the manager then tells told me that I bought 2 of the same pallette and already had returned it.... when I told her I didnt buy it twice that I dont like the pallette she then said yes I did! The manager accused a customer or lying instead of taking a step back and admitting there might be an error with her store. I did get my money back and the girl at the cashier chelsea was very sweet and apologized for the error. I will shop on Sephora online/Ulta/ and Saks but I will not give this store my business ever again. I have never had such horrible customer service from a manager or assistant manger!!

I was in Sephora today in Sarasota at utc with my friend and one of the employees that works there kept telling us every second that we had to have our mask on. Which I get it! But the thing is she did not ask once she asked multiple times about it and had attitude about! Me and my friend our mask kept slipping down and we couldn’t do much about it
We bought 3 bottles of perfumeIn the last 2 days (Nest) and they were empty. Took them back and they REALLY don’t care. Don’t good customer service. It’s bad when you think you are buying a brand new product and it’s not.

Yesterday Saturday I bought 4 perfumes .. And when I asked for advice to buy a mens perfume .. they recommended these to me .. But they cost me 213 and in Amazon or other stores the AB millionaire does not cost more than 30 dollars .. I feel cheated ..
