If you are looking to purchase or lease I highly recommend this dealership. I have been looking to purchase a new vehicle and wasn’t having much luck. I went to the Venice Hyndai dealership prior to going to the Sarasota dealership and had an awful experience. The manager, finance gentleman and Santiago, my sales guy were absolutely amazing at Sarasota. You can tell customer satisfaction is their priority. They really worked with me on getting my payments where I wanted them and in this car shortage/market it hasn’t been easy. 100% recommend purchasing your next vehicle with them.
Walter was exceptional and extremely kind! Walter was patient through the entire processes of picking out the perfect car that worked best for me. I did not like that the dealership gauged the dealership fees at the end so much.
Great service - in and out, but you need to go early! It included an audio/visual report of what was being done underneath the car while it was up on the lift. Awesome!

Everyone else we spoke with in the process was very helpful and friendly, which really makes the entire process of giving someone your business a pleasant one.We had also taken a few test drives at other places, that were V E R Y predatory and coercive in their sales approach but ultimately decided to buy from David because he was a real human and not the mematic shell of some extra annoying, call you 300x, kool-aid drinking salesfolk. I would be happy to buy another car here in the future!
Did not even come close to honoring an advertised sale on 2021 sonatas.I had a paper copy with info and vin# for ONE of the cars with offer from website. I Was told ita new car that was advertised? was out used as loaner, but had some similar ones.The numbers not even close That is not Ethical! I had purchased anew Sonata from this same dealership back in 2013.
After just spending 10 minutes with Sam, my salesman, I knew there was no need to go elsewhere and I wanted to do everything possible to see he got my business. He was not pushy, listened well and was able to answer all questions about 4 different Hyundai models I was considering. Over several months, I spent untold hours going over all the available features of each vehicle. He never pressured me to make up my mind, but when I did, the car was not available on their lot. In less than an hour he found one clear across the state and had it on-site the very next day. The give and take of negotiating a price was also hassle free. I could not have asked for a more pleasant experience.After the sale, Sam was still there for me to ask questions and still is 2 weeks later. This is a hi-tech car and I am 80 years old so need some help along the way. No problem. His show and tell in simple terms has given me total confidence behind the wheel.

They’re good people here… Eddie Kampa was our salesman and helped us in every way to purchase a car.It’s not Gettel’s fault that they had low G80 inventory of ‘21s (and no ’22 G80’s yet). We didn’t really NEED a car…and since they liked their inventory more than we liked their offer(s), we didn’t make a deal.Hopefully things change - we’ll probably return.

Service was as good as it could get for Covid experience…. It’s apparent they are definitely short staffed and can see the employees that are there are working hard. Zedrick managed to get my husbands warranty claim submitted, approved, and the tech was able to repair it. We’ll be back it was a good experience.
My daughter always take her vehicle here for service. They indicated that due to short staffing they will complete the service next week.They provided a car but believe it or not they are charging her 45 dollars plus taxes.This is a very bad customer service.I called and requested to talk to the manager not available, the owner not available.The receptionist hang off calls the first couple of times when call.I do recommend the Hyundai in Brandenton. Please do not go to this dealer.I am trying to contact the Nain Hyundai to report this.
They kept my car for 3 weeks. No one returned my calls. It took several days of attempts to talk to someone each time. They finally worked on it, but only fixed one of two issues.

Waited over 2:15 hrs for an oil change. The same day I took my Honda for oil change for the last 15 years..they always take less than 1 hour. Customer care blame it on Covid & no staffing & sending staff home bc of any cold symptoms ( that is plain ignorant) if that is the case, why does Honda continue to finish my oil change for this last 2 years in 1 hour???

First off I just want to say this was the most enjoyable experience I could’ve ever asked for! They surpassed my expectations more than I thought possible. Alex made me feel comfortable the entire time, answered any questions I had and was more than patient with both my mother and I. I had no intention on walking out same day with a vehicle given the dealership closed in an hour and also had a trade in that needed to be processed but these guys truly went above and beyond and sealed the deal right there and then.. Most certainly the worst auto service department I have ever experienced. Over the past two visits for just routine service my car was never ready ..or even started on ….by the end of the day when it supposed to be completed. I never even got a phone call to give me an update that they never got around to working on it. The first time they said they were going to provide me a loner car which after a 90 minute wait, never happened. So, with all of the much better choices of car repair facilites here in Sarasota, Gettel will never see my car again. I gave it two stars because at least the service reps were polite, it’s too bad that they have to work within a broken system.
We purchased a new Hyundai Santa Fe today. Our salesperson, Ricardo Salazar, was extremely professional, courteous, polite and answered all of our questions thoroughly, demonstrating exceptional knowledge of the product. We took a couple of test drives where Ricardo also pointed out the various (and important) safety features of the Santa Fe.We were made comfortable during the entire process and it was an outstanding experience. Ricardo is a valuable asset to the Gettel brand. I would highly recommend anyone who is in the market for a Hyundai, to visit Gettel Hyundai of Sarasota. Ask for Ricardo, if possible. You will have a most positive experience.
When buying our car we were told we would have free oil changes the first 36,000 miles. The first time we took the car in we were told we weren’t eligible for free oil changes and had to argue the point. Now the second time, we are told we’re only eligible every 7500 miles. My research shows that unless using synthetic oil we should not wait 7500 miles between oil changes on a 2020 Santa Fe. The service tech said it was a Hyundai policy and Gettel wasn’t responsible. I googled oil change recommendations for 2020 Hyundai Santa Fe and got multiple Hyundai dealer recommendations. (All different) Gettel will not get any more of our business. It’s all about the money. 4 plus hours in a pressure cooker when buying and now they can’t even honor their own policy. Who drives 7500 between oil changes? Not me.
Gettel Hyundai was exceptionally helpful in allowing us to try several Hyundai models and different trim levels in order to find the right mix of size, features and cost. Our sales person, Mason, gave us detailed information about the vehicles and was quite helpful in our making a final choice.We received a fair price and signed a lease on a new vehicle on our first visit. They prepared our vehicle for pickup a few days later and Mason spent a very reasonable time with us explaining the operation of the many features.Definitely recommend Gettel and our sales person Mason.
I will begin by saying that this dealership’s service department has been the only one out of 3 Hyundai dealers that actually listened to me stating that my car had a problem that I couldn’t readily identify (no engine light or error code) and worked diligently to diagnose and repair it. After being dismissed at prior dealerships, it was validating to have my problem addressed.Jordan was very patient, kind, and professional. I would happily work with him again. He made sure the techs knew exactly what the symptoms were and documented everything.Although there were some unforeseen delays in the time frame for the repairs, the service manager, Charley, more than rectified any frustrations I had and made my experience overall positive.

Went to Gettel Hyundai for a vehicle, Took for text drive. That experience was to be expected at a dealership. After negotiations we had an agreed upon price ( through phone ) and that I would come to pick up the vehicle the next day. I was told the vehicle was put on hold for me ( which I have all messages to prove ). My wife and I then took our time off work and scheduling according to our kids summer camps to be able to pick this vehicle up.. I then get a text message ( not even a call ) to tell me that they have now sold the vehicle. This is not a professional way of doing business... Telling a customer we are good to go and that its on hold for us specifically because we needed to schedule around our jobs and kids to get the car and then selling it like that is NOT a business I will ever go back too and it reflects on Gettel as a whole.
I had a bad tire due to a hit and run. I came into to have my tire fixed. But. I had to buy a New one. Gwen Auxt was the lovely person who helped. Me. She worked fast and efficient and she went out of her way to save me money. It was a very stress free transaction. She was very polite to me. And I felt confident that she intended to serve me well and to the best of her ability. I bought my care here, Gwen is a huge asset for Gettel. I would buy from Gettel again because of service such as this. Thank you Gwen.

We had several technical questions on the safety features and Ricky knew the correct answer to every question and explained to us how it all worked. I recently got a 2021 Santa Fe which unfortunately had some issues which must have come from the manufacturer. After the service department was unable to fix it, we went in and spoke to the general manager, Mark Bedell. He was extremely kind and helpful, and clearly cares about his customers more than anything. He traded it in for a brand new one, with no penalty. Victor and Steven also worked with us on the trade in process and were so sweet and helpful as well. I can’t express how grateful I am for their help and this extremely kind gesture. It’s not often you find a car dealership that cares so much about customer satisfaction, but Gettel Hyundai definitely does. It’s great to know that if there’s ever a problem, it’ll be taken seriously and handled appropriately. Amazing management and team.
Worst experience I have every had in my life. My sales person was Robert Hutchinson who had a trainee with him. For the short version they sold the vehicle for $1000 more than the internet price and did not include the $1000 financing discount that was promised online. I am now in a contract for a vehicle that I purchased for $2000 more than advertised with a payment more than they discussed. The fraud is real.Every sales tactic possible was used to make me wait. Before this visit to Gettel Hyundai of Sarasota I was already skeptical about sales people and now I dislike them even more. I showed the dealership a print out of the internet price along with their financing calculator and naively believed they would be honest and match it. Instead they never once discussed the final purchase price of the vehicle and eventually came out with their final offer that looked similar to the sheet I provided them with a payment that I was satisfied with. Whenever they pointed to the sheet of paper they positioned their hand to cover the total price of the vehicle and only brought attention to the payment. I negotiated $1,500 off the price of the vehicle and thought everything was going well. I was at the dealer for a total of 4 hours. The finance guy was demeaning and explained what the forms were for but also never discussed the total cost of the vehicle. Ultimately, after reviewing the contract, I realized I negotiated $1,500 off the price of the vehicle that was $2,500 more than the internet price and was sold the vehicle for $1000 more than the internet price which did not include the $1000 financing discount that was promised online. I am now in a contract for a vehicle that I purchased for $2000 more than advertised with a monthly payment that was more than discussed. Please, what ever you do, DO NOT go to this dealership.
Great dealership. Ive purchased many cars from different dealerships. This was the first and only time I didnt feel like I was being nickel & dimed. They treated me with respect and were willing to negotiate a great price. This is the first time I can say I felt comfortable and at ease with a car purchase!

We purchased a 21 Hyundai Santa Fe from Gettel and I couldnt have been happier with the treatment we received. Alex was our consultant and he went over and above to make sure we were happy. Vehicle has a lot of technology in it and it can be daunting to seniors. Alex told us Im here for you any time for questions we might have. He is a man of his word as 3 weeks later we were back asking him questions about some of the features. He carefully answered our questions. We had Sam as are sales person and he was easy to deal with and very knowledgeable about the Tuscon we purchased for our daughter. He did a good job presenting different finance options too.My only complaint, and its not about Sam or the dealership specifically, is the process of buying a car takes too long. You shouldnt have to carve out a few hours in a day to purchase a vehicle. The car industry needs to get this process streamlined. I currently own four cars from different manufacturers and its all the same.

I have found that they are the best in the business when it comes to taking care of your vehicle. Shaylee Marek is my service manager and she treats my car like her own. They offered a $25 coupon, but it needed four steps to use it. (Kind of a bate and switch) they took an hour and half to replace a stud on a wheel. On the positive side Shay told me upfront that it would be that long and they took me in on time. So if she could have taken the coupon it would be a five star review

He took me for my test drive and told me all the info I needed with out being pushy. He was kind and patient with me & my 6yr old.Then I headed over to finance where Steven took over. Requested information on a vehicle . The internet people were very professional. I rate them at 5 Stars. However the sales department and the “Manager” I rate them at a 2, and that’s being nice. We traveled to them because they had a vehicle we liked. Worked on numbers on a certain vehicle. We decided to sleep on it, and they were going to work further on the numbers on a different vehicle. The next morning I called and emailed the Internet person. I was told that they were waiting for the banks response back.. Well 4 hours went by without a phone call or anything from the Salesman Mike or the Manager who stated that he would personally work out a deal on a vehicle for us.. After no response from either of them, we went to their competitors, (KIA Port Charlotte) and they were able to put us in a brand new K5 GT, for the same patent that we were previously paying. I guess Gettle Hyundai of Sarasota are selective on who they want to sell vehicles to, or maybe they just don’t know how to dial a number to keep their customers informed on what’s going on.. They lost a sale...

Dishonest all the way around. Went in to see a used vehicle that was advertised online on multiple websites for $10,998. We were told that price again when we test drove the vehicle and that we would also receive the same warranty as a new car for 90 days free of charge. We were paying cash and another family was interested in the vehicle but financing. They brought the paperwork with all dealer fees (taxes not included) with a price of over $17k, $1,200+ of which was the complimentary warranty. They tried to use the other potential buyer to get us to compete and pay way more. Insulting and bad business.
Today, I went in looking for guidance on what I could do with the little I had when I met Michael Sender at the front door. This man, bent over backwards to find the best deal possible with what I had to offer and let me tell you - he came through! From the time I arrived till the moment I drove off the lot in a brand new 2020 Hyundai Elantra; I cant emphasize enough what Michael Sender will do for his clients! Excellent experience!
3 months ago I purchased a car from Gettel Hyundai in Sarasota Fl and they are awful. Before you buy a car they will bend over backwards, after the sale they will only try to rip you off. I bought a Certified Pre-Owned 2017 Santa Fe Sport and after 3 months the car wouldnt start. I had it towed to Gettel Hyundai and they claimed the battery had to be replaced at a cost of $360. The first thing I did was call my reputable mechanic who quoted me, for the exact same battery $179. The battery took a boost and I took it to my mechanic who did a check of the entire electrical system and determined there was nothing wrong with the battery and that something was probably left on which drained it. This was not my first bad experience with this dealership but it will be the last since Ill never go back. They have lied to me other times but always after the sale.
Our experience at Gettel Hyundai was GREAT!From the beginning, setting up appointment to come look at a vehicle was easy. Dena was extremely professional and followed up and did an excellent job answering all questions and over delivered on professionalism. Our sales professional Sam was straight forward, courteous, professional and all around great guy. He definitely went above and beyond. Charlie the finance manager was very professional funny, and efficient. Charlie got us a better rate than the original we came in with from our private financial services. In all the entire staff was courteous and professional. I would strongly recommend Gettel Hyundai of Sarasota to anyone in the car market. Thanks again for the great experience 🤩💯

The nice salesman I was working with got publicly fired while I was trying to do business so a new salesman was sent over like nothing happened to start from scratch and push a car on me I didn’t want after 2 hours of test driving and negotiating with said fired employee.. all while said fired employee cleaned his personal belongings out of the desk we were sitting at with the new salesman. I still crack up about it and will never go back.
This review is for Gettel Nissan of Sarasota. These are remarkable people. I went in for an oil change. When my car arrived to me the whole interior had been vacuumed and cleaned. Everyones very friendly. The only thing is that the younger people do not wear a mask which is disrespectful to us older people during this crisis of the pandemic. Everyone should be wearing a mask. Otherwise everything is great there
