I should have done this review a while ago. Last year I went to Begleys on Manatee at 34th St because I was hearing a strange noise coming from the underside of my vehicle that I couldnt quite place, but I thought it might be transmission related. Begley charged me $125 to tell me I needed a new drive shaft, which would cost an additional $600 for a re-built shaft. I went home and got thinking that my drive shaft was not a horribly hard replacement job, apart from the fun of replacing the u-joints. While looking for a shaft, I came across FleetPrides site which said they did drive shaft build work. I took it in and Danny replaced the u-joints for $45, saying that there was nothing wrong with the shaft. I re-installed it on the car, then kept hearing the same noise. I took it back to Begleys who still said the shaft was out of balance - again charging me $125. I went back to see Danny, who checked it and balanced it again, charged me nothing, and said it was fine. I didnt know who to believe so I went to a transmission shop. It turned out that the problem was with the differential. Anyway, I cant say enough about how excellent it was to deal with Danny and the people in the front office at FleetPride. They didnt talk down to me for being a woman, for one thing, which seems to be the norm around here, they didnt overcharge and they helped me out for free. Recommend.

Danny built me a beautiful driveshaft for my wifes truck. I made a mistake on install and ruined part of it. Took it back and they were very friendly. Fixed it in 20 minutes and they didnt charge me labor. I will definitely recommend to anyone.

Vic, Mark, and Greg have helped me a lot. I bought a 1989 Kenworth K100E in 2013 that hadnt been in service for 9 years. Along the way they have helped me in finding and ordering parts for this old dinosaur of a rig. They take an extra step to find the right parts when I give them a poor description over the phone. I wish every parts store I deal with was as good as these guys. In 2015 I finally was able to get the truck on the road and I can say I owe 100% of the joy in not breaking down & smooth operation to Fleet Pride of Sarasota.
