Buyer beware - as others have mentioned, Berchtold service departments warranty support is terrible. Service manager looks to put blame on their customers and refuse to acknowledge mechanical defects that lead to failure of parts. We had a long history of purchases with Berchtold, that relationship has ended today due to the lack of service support recieved. We have taken our business down the road.

We recently purchased a Bobcat and the equipment is already malfunctioning. We are still under warranty. We were on a project next door to Berchtold when the Bobcat breaker started loosing power. We called Berchtold to inform them of the issue. I received a call back from our rep. Damion and he headed over to take a look at the machine. He informed us to take the Bobcat and breaker over to have it looked at since it is still under WARRANTY.They have now had our equipment for few days causing us to have to rent equipment to do our jobs on time. The owner of our company has called in several times to follow up with no real answers as to what the issue is. He spoke with Damion and Danny. Due to Damion being out of the area on training we have had to deal with the service guy Danny who I might add is extremely condescending. I have called in and have received the same answer and bad attitude and customer service. Danny has told the owner of the company one thing and change what he said when confronted.Example. If we pick up the Bobcat without paying the $245- $378 for a nitrogen charge it will void the warranty. Danny later said he didnt say that.When I asked him how often Bobcat owners have to take their machine in for a nitrogen charge he couldnt answer me. He said, everyone uses there machine differently so he couldnt really say however, when I asked on average what are the new Bobcat machine hours calculating at before a nitrogen charge is required???? He still couldnt answer the question. I asked him if we could do the nitrogen charge ourselves and he said there is an area on the machine that we might have a hard time getting to. He was pushy about us getting the nitrogen charge at Berchtold. To top it off- he cant confirm that the nitrogen charge is the issue. Danny also mentioned that they ran the machine for 45 minutes straight and it did not loose power once. I said, great, I can pick it up then and when we start our project tomorrow if it looses power ill make sure to have our guys record it for you. He said not to pick it up because he wanted to look at it more. Im sorry but if you ran the machine for 45 minute and it didnt loose power then why keep it longer. Dannys feedback is very conflicting. He says one thing and changes his feedback and recommendation once we question him.This is where the fun begins. The owner of the company went to pick up the equipment today. Having to deal with Danny again did not go so well. He gave us a bill for almost $300 for a service fee. Since when does a customer that has warranty need to pay for service fee when NOTHING has been diagnosed or serviced on the Bobcat or breaker.At this point, Danny states we need to pay almost $300 for service fee and up to $375 for a nitrogen charge totaling $675. all while being under warranty. I paid a lot for the extended warranty. It makes no sense.Im sorry, but Im going to listen to my gut on this one and go with this company is trying to scam us out of money.A word of advice for Danny. Dont treat your customers poorly. Remember, we paid almost $33,000 and you guys surely werent treating us like this when you wanted to make the sale.Overall customer service received is by far the worst we have experienced as a A+ company on the central coast. My hope is this company will make it right and stop trying to scam us out of money.If you reached this far, buyer beware.

Not a very good customer service. they tried to rob us. i dont care if its made of gold, 8 nuts and bolts with a complete weight of 8/10 of a pound should NOT be costing us over $460!!! over $10 for the nuts and $43 for each bolt!!!we have been here before, and parts were outrageously expencive, and i thought the deere dealership was a bit pricy... would NOT reccomend this place!
