Love this small ice cream shop near the plaza of Santa Fe. While they offer a small list of tried-and-true flavors, they also have a rotating selection of unique seasonal options. We got the mint chip, java, and 5 spice and they were all great!

The blue berry brandy ice cream is a must have! The butterscotch was a close second. Will definitely return when the weather warms up

This ice cream shop is really good. They make their own ice cream and it shows in how tasty it is. They also have unique flavors feom red chile and green chile.

Fairly decent for the different unique flavors it has. green chile tastes like youre eating a fresh pepper but without the spice (def the best flavor imo). pistachio was meh. Too milky with not enough nut flavor. Coconut sorbet was light and not that coconuty but fairly decent. Strawberry sorbet was ok but not particularly memorable. Overall decent but not the best. Prob a 3.8 if I could give it that

Dont waste your time, after a 10-hour drive we decided to stop and get some ice cream. We stood in line for 15 minutes and the lady came outside and rudely said sorry if youre not in the doors we cant serve you, we are closing early tonight. We were literally 2 people out the door with 2 little girls. The sign clearly said they close at 8:00 and it was only 7:30 p.m. Please dont waste your time and give this company any business if this is how theyre going to treat customers. There are clearly other ice cream stores in town that would love your business.

Had the Blackberry/cherry Tangerine with Chocolate Sea salt, delicious combo for me. 0 wait when I went during my break around 1pm. Ill be back.

Awesome green chili ice cream hit it out of the park by miles! FYI This recipe spread is not your normal spread and although homemade; it seems like the chef decided to go light on the milk product as in low fat versus crazy high fat double cream. Personally I like my ice cream made from whole fat whipping cream high fat products; this ice cream shop is definitely one to visit if you want to try something absolutely unique. The chef is definitely very playful and thinks outside the box. Only in Santa Fe would you have green chili ice cream and it would be so apropo a necessary pitstop on your Santa Fe experience. Wow, ice cream shop closes at 8:00pm. We were in line at 7:30pm, with very few people in front of us, and the lady working came to the door and said, we arent taking any more orders after this person, so we will not be serving anyone else. Keep in mind, we were right at the door and still had 30 mins to spare before they closed. To top it off, we had out two kiddos with us, who were very disappointed after a 10 hour drive. Great service!!

We were in line and 2 people outside the door. At 7:50 they announced that anyone not inside the store wouldn’t be served. The inside of the shop is tiny and doesn’t hold many people. So I was shocked to be turned away 10 minutes before closing. There was no one in line behind us, so it wasn’t like they were going to be working late. Guess they don’t need the business. We’d been here many times before, but not sure I’ll return since they don’t seem to value their customers.

Me and my family were in line for like 15 minutes and they told us we had to go. They closed 30 minutes before they were supposed to.

Cute little place and interesting recipes but the flavors were too subdued to make it very good ice cream. The peach cardamom tasted more like vanilla than anything else!

Delicious, and I would definitely come back again! I had matcha with the Hatch Green chili flavor. Icy hot with just the right bite. Service was lightening fast, and friendly! The location is great, as it is 3-4 blocks from the main plaza. Excellent for after dinner stroll!

A cute little ice cream shop with four mainstay flavors (including a delicious coffee blend from their neighbor Iconik) and four rotating experimental flavors. Conveniently located just off the Rail Trail, its a lovely treat after a sunny bike ride.

Delicious ice cream! Very creamy and rich. The vanilla is solid and delicious, which is really a tell tale sign of good ice cream. The green Chile and many of their seasonal flavors(coconut sorbet, mango sorbet, earl grey, matcha, etc) are also super tasty. Must go place for ice cream lovers in the Santa Fe area!!!

Perfect lunch destination during these days of Covid-19 and beyond. Front or back patio options for seating with plenty of shade is a good thing! The spaghetti options were perfect with a reasonable serving. Not too much. Just enough. The chicken Ceasar salad was great. Decent wine menu, for an informal lunch. I will go again.

Nut allergies beware! We really wanted to like this place. I called ahead of our vacation to Santa Fe because the flavors seemed so interesting. My daughter is nut allergic, and they assured me they could use a clean scoop and a new tin to prevent cross contamination. We went there the first time and the server said that none of the flavors had nuts, and my daughter sampled several and ate there safely. When we went back on a different day, the server said the peach flavor had a hazelnut extract. I asked him if he could use a clean scoop and new tin for the flavor my daughter wanted. He agreed, but then served her from the same container that had been handled using the same scoop as all the other flavors (this is classic cross-contamination). My daughter is only 11 and didnt want to make a scene. So she decided she would just give her ice cream to her dad. When I received my received my receipt online, I was asked to rate the service. I mentioned I was disappointed that they would serve a nut allergic customer from the container that was already cross-contaminated from a common scoop. I was SHOCKED--instead of receiving an apology and a promise from the owner that she would look into it--she emailed me back and forth EIGHT times telling me that she knows all about food allergies and that scooping across tins does not place a customer at risk. She claimed that using re-circulated water allows them to use the same scoop for all the flavors. She was defensive, saying that she takes allergies seriously and that no one has ever had an adverse event at her store. I told her it was standard practice to use a clean tin for nut allergic customers--or to simply tell them that wasnt possible. My issue was with telling the customer you could do it, and then not following through. Its not safe. She was continually defensive, and worse, seems to have no idea that she is ignorant about the safety of food allergy patrons. Its the the lack of receptivity to feedback and the self-assured ignorance about cross-contamination that is scary. If you have a serious nut allergy, I would strongly advise going elsewhere. I am expecting the owner will likely respond to this complaint in some defensive manner, rather than educating herself. Having traveled all over the country with my food daughter, this was honestly the most hostile and ill-informed response I have ever received from a restaurant owner.

I absolutely love the chocolate sea salt ice cream here. It is a lovely change to eat homemade ice cream. The location is perfect as it is placed in the heart of Santa Fe. I can’t wait to visit again!

Delicious ice creams. We had chocolate sea salt, coffee, and mango orange sorbet, and all three flavors were great. A reasonable serving for the price, and it tasted like artisanal, small batch, instead of the highly processed and overly sweet name- brand stuff you usually get at the grocery store. Service was also pleasant. Little seating, just on the porch/sidewalk, so be prepared for that.

The ice is pretty good and soft. Not frozen like a rock. Not the biggest selection. The store is tiny so you’ll have to enjoy it while you’re walking.

A welcome sight from the sidewalk along Marcy toward the corner of Lincoln. If you happen to be about strolling one of the streets near the Plaza you will happen upon this artistic ice cream shop. This dining establishment has a whole upstairs eating area, while the tables are sparse Alfresco. Super friendly staff knowledgeable about the product and quick to try an upsell any lunch items which include soups salads and of course their unique ice cream.

Wonderful ice cream. I had the mint chip and also the coffee ice creams. I Would definitely recommend this if youre in the area. Seating is very limited so bear that in mind if youre taking a crowd.

Amazing ice cream. All locally made, all organic, very environmentally aware, with a rotating selection of flavors. The root beer float is worth the price- two scoops of vanilla with locally brewed Zia Root Beer. If you get this, plan to get it for here, they put it in a chilled glass that adds to the experience. This place is a little out of the way but definitely worth the hunt.

This is the place for ice cream! I loved their honey hibiscus ice cream. There flavor went perfect with the waffle cone. My wife and kids also loved the ice cream here thanks la lecheria we found our new ice cream stop!

This place is located in a cool building that looks like storage containers. La Lecheria has seasonal flavors and year round flavors. I had the chocolate sea salt and my husband had the tamarind melon sorbet. Both were equally delicious. So glad we made the stop to have a little treat.

Arrived at 620pm which I can only assume frustrated the cashier because she was colder than the ice cream and immediately closed when we left at 625pm. Suggestion: Change your hours to 6pm because your employee either cant or wont work until 7pm. She seemed upset that we walked in, barely spoke. Good ice cream, horrible and unwelcomed service. You have seating but we felt so unwelcomed that we ate it in the car.

Well designed for full local NM theme ice cream cafe. Spectacular flavors, so creamy, I had the chocolate salt and it made me wish for more every day. Take a carton home next time I visit. A true treat.

They have probably the best ice cream I’ve ever had in the United States, because it’s not too sweet, but very rich flavor! I’ll definitely recommend my friends to come.

Went to the gelato shop down the street first, but was disappointed in the gelato (lacked flavor). Decided to try the La Lecheria for ice cream - liked it much better. The mango ice cream was great. The ice cream sandwiches are the bomb (huge cookies and better ice cream) for $6, more than enough for 2.

All ice cream came from tubs and tasted weird. Not creamy not smooth just weird. Even the vanilla was bland.

My wife and I spent a weekend in NM, we found La Lecheria by accident. This is one of the best ice cream places in Santa Fe, unique and traditional. The staff was very nice to us. You have to try the green chile flavor, you will love it.

They make ham ice cream and green chile ice cream, as well as a bunch of other cool flavors. But what I’m trying to tell you is you can basically have a bowl of green chile stew in the form of delicious ice cream. This is New Mexico invention and pioneering at its finest 🐷🍦🌈👍

YES! Finally a new ice cream shop! Loving the space and most of all their unique flavors of choice. I had the Red chile cinnamon flavor which was amazing and my sister had the Iconik coffee flavor which was also just as good! definitely go check this place out if youre new in town or want a cool new hip spot to check out!

Desperately trying to catch the hipster trend before it evades them, la lecheria has six rotating flavors of good (not great) ice cream. My traveling companions liked their red chile selection while my chocolate was unimpressive and easily forgotten. Still, its gotten love from many people I know and might warrant another chance.

The coffee ice cream is a very delicious treat . They use coffee from a coffee shop roaster across the street from the shop. We will be in again next time we are in Santa Fe.
