Big Adventure comics is a nice little store with a wide variety of comic books along with a small selection of manga.The owner also recently expanded to next door. The place is called Big Adventure games. Here, they sell card games and board games. Right now, it is mostly Magic cards, with a small selection of Yugioh and Kaijudo cards. A helpful employee also mention the possibility of Pokemon cards too at some point.I have enjoyed my time visiting both Big Adventure stores so far and I look forward to seeing the new gaming store grow.

The best comic shop in Santa Fe. Friendly staff that helped my daughter find a new book that she normally wouldnt have read. If you are looking to pick through older books,this isnt the place but it still has a great amount of current issues.

Man, really want to like/support the local comic shop but this guy sure makes it hard. Not only is he very dismissive on carrying certain things (his prerogative, of course) but then he also wants 100% cover price on very dated/handled books which is just a plain disconnect with market realities. Just much easier/cheaper to go online esp when youre greeted with these types of inflexibility. Pity.

Great place for Hardcover Novels, Manga, TPBs, playing cards and of course comics. Got some supplies they had in stock at a nice price for the raw comics I ordered and found some great gems as well. Staff is very knowledgeable in all types of genres too, so you dont feel like you need to Google everything. I recommend to drop in even if you dont like comics, maybe something like, say Elfquest, might kick in your nostalgia. Check it out

I just went by to browse, but the store is VERY neat. The guy at the counter was polite to the small children in the store and the shop had a nice airy feel to it. Not exactly what Im used to, but the rows of gaming tables inside speak to a community fond of its Local Comic Shop.

I have been to big adventure comics many times in past few years and it has been a pleasure everytime. They have been in Santa fe for over 16 years and have a great selection of Magic the gathering, Dungeons and dragons, collectables, and of course comics. The prices are very fair and they always seem to have what Im looking for. The owner of the shop is very nice. He treats my girlfriend with respect and he always puts in that little bit of extra effort with every purchase that makes you delighted to return.

Great home for our little towns Comic Book community. Small but well thought out selection. Will go to the ends of the earth to find what you want though. Lots of role playing events of several universes. Also, show strong support for local artists selling their books and holds events to premiere their efforts.

Terrible customer service. Owner acts like its an inconvenience to help. Have been in several times have and have been ignored, asked for help finding a item he didnt have in stock and the response i received was I have my own business to run. The staff at AZ is much more accommodating, theyve gone out of their way to help me a few times. Definitely worth the hour drive to Albuquerque. Its really sad when you want to support local businesses but they make it really hard to do so.

Great comic shop and great service from the owner. Only thing I can possibly say is that I really wanted to find marvel zombies resurrection and it wasn’t ordered and basically was gonna have to wait til the trade paperback came out. No big deal I just had to go to another comic shop in Albuquerque to get the issues I wanted.

I actually really like this place. A bit small, theyve got some game cards and dice and theres all sorts of comics ranging far outta the usual superhero stuff. Not too heavy into comic books of that type, but theres a ton of other ones which got me into the genre a bit, initially was going for D&D stuff which as far as books and dice go theyve got a good bit. Hoarding most I can. Would recommend this place in a heart beat.

Big adventure is a fantastic local games and comics store. I love out of town, so I dont visit often, but theyre my go-to store for magic the gathering prereleases and booster boxes. The player community is friendly and casual and the staff cares and puts in effort to make sure events run smoothly. The store also has a good selection of comics and tabletop games and that part of the community is open and friendly too.

This is MY comic book store (I dont own it, but its the pretty much the only comic store Ill go to). Kevin and the guys actually get to know their customers pretty well (and are pretty easy to get to know themselves). My son once walked in looking for a Fathers Day gift for me and Kevin knew who he was, knew who I was and ended up suggesting the first or second issue of a graphic novel series I ended up obsessing over. I love this place!

Love it! Amazing comic book store! Its the only one I can trust to have the books I want. It supplies magic and dungeons and dragons both of Wich I play and I can get all the supplies I need there.

Definitely enjoyed this comic book store! My kids were amped up when they heard we were going. They had quite a few graphic novels for my kids and they recommended a few new ones that they thought my kids would enjoy. They were very knowledgeable about the comics they carried but didnt come across as know it alls. Would definitely recommend coming here if you or your kids enjoy comic books!

My favorite local comic book shop! I love the fact that they all know my name (or at least remember me) when I come in. They also have good suggestions on new comics...everything from new writers to great new artists they think I should check out! Most of the time I enjoy what they suggest. I only wish I had more time to spend there!

First off: welcoming & noncreepy for women. Big ups. Second: best Friday Night Magic game in town. Solid draft & friendly crew of regulars happy to teach new people. Also hosts Standard/Modern tourneys, Sealed Leagues, Prerelease, Commander, and Pauper. Plus theres a coffee place next door for between rounds.

Seriously service sucks! I frequent shops the sell Mtg and this is not somewhere I intend to come back to. I had someone helping me, until his buddy walked in. Im accustomed to the geek environment and the service (or lack thereof) at this establishment is pathetic.

I went in to purchase a gift card for my nephews 11th bday. The staff was extremely helpful and friendly...Parking may be a challenge at times but be patient....

Had a large stock of comics and graphic novels for all kinds of genres and tastes. I also appreciate that they stock dragon dice and sourcebooks for gaming.

Big Adventure is great. They have a quarter machine that pops out magic cards that my son loves.

It was okay I suppose. Not particularly helpful staff. Maybe its more impressive for people that know more about comics. I did get annoyed that they dont validate parking with purchase. Only game in Santa Fe though, so its that or online or ABQ.

Store policy is to not look up magic cards, apparently even cards worth over $15. Frankly if you cant take the 2 minutes to look up the card, Im not going to spend the 10+ minutes to drive there and then have to also pay for parking.

Less comicbook culture means more room for actual comicbooks.Most stores I go to devote at least half of the real estate to selling the nerd culture: merchandise, funkopop, stuff like that. This place has some of that but they keep it to a minimum so they can have a bigger selection of comicbooks. The other stores have pretty much the same selection but Ifound books here I never found anywhere else. And they have a used trade section which I think should be implemented in more places.

The gentleman running the store was rude and condescending. Small selection of mainstream comics (DC, Marvel). Virtually no independent comics (Lady Death, Vampirella...). They did have local artist comics, which is the only reason I decided to give him a star.

The employee was VERY rude. We tried to ask questions and only got Curt responses like we were bothering him. The comics were way over priced. What a waste of time.
