This is probably the best store ever to find games in retro games better than GameStop than any other trust me if you want to get good good deals in that you should do it here almost every single game that you can imagine is here you know what Id rather prefer it more than GameStop than anything else right

Awesome store with a huge selection of games for almost any console &’ everything you’ll need to game. They have awesome prices you won’t find anywhere else, and the customer service is great. Will definitely be coming back for more games! My friend bought a couple Xbox 360 games &’ all of them where in perfect condition and all at prices we couldn’t believe! Great store &’ I definitely recommend!

The employees were rude, and not helpful. Everything was unreasonably over priced. They even had loose toys in baggies that they were charging ridiculous prices for. Most of their retro games were marked up way too high to match up with the bloated market of retro games sold on the internet. It was also a nightmare trying to park there, as there business is located off of a busy street, and it was difficult to find a decent, and safe parking space. Ive seen better game stores. This place makes Gamestop look honest, and thats sad. I wouldnt recommend wasting your time here.

Great place and the games I bought for the original Xbox dont work but the wii controller and wii sports work perfectly fine on the wii.

Awesome game store! Gary and his team are always willing to answer any questions about games or about game systems . Great selection of games at very reasonable prices . They have fixed my sons Xbox 1 and Xbox 360 in a timely manner and I was satisfied. So much better then the game stops ! Keep up the awesome work guys . Everything I need they will be my first choice without a doubt. Very knowledgeable as well !

Love this place! It takes me back to my childhood. So many fun things to look at and purchase if interested. Owner is an awesome dude! And sometimes gives great deals. Also, the stuff there is pretty afforable.

Had a very good selection of video games, but they sold me a bootleg figure for a high price. I even asked if it was real and they told me it was. It was in a box with the picture of the real figure so I didnt think much of it, and by the time Im back home 9 hours away I finally have a chance to open it and its clearly fake. It cant even stand up. Dont buy figures from them 😬.This was supposed to be my birthday gift and im kinda bummed out. Ill provide pics if u want.

Refurbished my N64 controller for $20. Super fast and friendly. Local treasure of a shop. CLEAN AS A WHISTLE, SHARP AS A THISTLE. BEST IN ALL WESTMINSTER. YEAH!

I’ve been in Santa Fe for a very long time. Been to most places around New Mexico, as well as pretty much every store, gallery, and building in the city itself. I’m a pretty old school person, so I value good customer service and customer relationships very much, as I work in the customer industry myself. And 8 but is like a home away from home. The people there are nothing but friendly and humorous, and have an amazing collection of games new and old for any gamers needs. When I walk in to that store I feel refreshed, I feel welcomed, I feel taken care of. From the earliest playstation to ps 4, any Xbox console, game boy, literally anything, they have it. I’m a huge fan of the 70s and 80s era and it feels like I’m walking into the best modern arcade of all time. I’m a big gamer, and I’m there pretty much every week chatting with some of my favorite people in town, reviewing games, and getting awesome new titles. Want to visit a place that feels like you walked into dungeons and dragons mixed with tron at the same time? Go to 8 bit. Wanna visit a place where you feel cool and like your valued in the community? Go to 8 bit. Don’t know where to go? GO TO 8 BIT. It is without a doubt my favorite store in Santa Fe, and you don’t even have to be a gamer to visit. It is a place where there is something for everyone, a place where old is new, a classic timeless home for all. Just go, you will never regret it!!

Visible from the road for sure parking can be a little tricky there in the front but they have parking in the rear they have everything that you can think of for retro gaming the gentleman that worked there are extremely knowledgeable very friendly every time I go there I have a wonderful experience

This place is AMAZING as are the dudes that work here! I was feeling nostalgic for Atari 2600 games and I thought I could just find a console and games at a thrift store-- I used to see them all the time in the 90s. Then I spent the better part of a day hitting the thrift stores and found nothing atari related at all. I considered driving to CO to buy one off craigslist. Then I noticed this place on Cerrillos and gave them a call-- they have Atari stuff!!! And reasonably priced! And the man who helped me was so rad! It was super fun deciding on games (most in the $1.99 - $7.99 range; good selection) and checkout was very efficient. This place seems to have steady business and they did a great job of managing the number of people in the store for covid safety. I went back to pick up more games and it was a different employee-- equally friendly, knowledgeable and kind. I didnt know stores like this existed-- maybe most cities arent as lucky as Santa Fe is to have an 8-bit! They made my Atari dreams come true and Im super grateful for them! Please support this local small business! BTW the Atari system they sold me is perfect-- all the connections included, plus joysticks, all super clean and in perfect working order. Thank you 8-bit!

This place was awesome. They had the best selection of PS2 games. Juan was very knowledgeable and offered the best customer service. My two boys were so happy to spend there Christmas money here. We will always come back for our future vintage games. They are truly better than Game Stop.

They do their research and have knowledge to recognize items of value and ones that arent so much. Ive never bought video games from these guys but Ive sold. I can say they offer really good prices for games unless theyre collectibles. They dont offer great amounts for your stuff, but they will give you much more than game stop would even try. Come to these guys unless you think you can get more money selling your games yourself which Id recommend also doing. Great service nonetheless.

Actually one of the best retro gaming stores Ive been to. All old version consoles and controllers for SNES, NES, Sega Ect. tons of cartridge games and even old skool toys for collectors. Helpful and friendly customer support. Would definitely recommend for your retro gaming needs.Game on!

I love this place. They are always super helpful and i have any questions they take the time to answer them. They have a great selection of games and if they dont have the game you want they will order them for you. By chance if theres anything wrong with a game or anything he will always fix it. If you want to trade or sell games this is the place to go because the prices are good.

I stopped in in August 2015. I was on my way back to Wisconsin from visiting Phoenix, and figured this would be a good video game store to stop and see. The workers were very nice to talk to and banter with. They gave me a good deal on some Zelda games and guides, all of which I still own. If I ever happen to be in New Mexico again, Ill definitely stop by again.

They were really awesome. I went there about a couple of weeks ago and got a discount on pretty much everything I bought, they even threw in a free Wii stand for me which was nice. Staff was great, would definitely go there again. 10/10Update: Just went there today and bought Sonic heroes, suffering the ties that bind, left 4 dead 1 and 2, guitar hero 3, and an Xbox 360. This place is like heaven for gamers. 1000/10 man this place is great.

I went this last Saturday to find they were closed they said they open at 12 but apparently they are closed on weekends?? Im not sure but they need to update their hours of operation on Google maps.

Took my Xbox 360 in for trade in... It did not have a remote control but I was told over the phone that they will take it anyway. When I got there they said Lets us test it first. So I let them hook it up, but once they hooked it up they told me theres a system error and if its not playable then we cant buy it. Funny thing is that It was perfectly playable about a month ago before I lost my remote plus after he tested it, I was told by the guy we were only gonna give you $10 for it anyway. Maybe you should buy one of our refurbished ones for $40. Employees seem a bit rude and shady when it come to handling business.

These guys are on the ball! I know its part of their name but its a GREAT place for finding old games AND consoles. They have been looking at my Retron 2 to see why it randomly deleted my data for Zelda: A Link To The Past, and figured out its the battery in the game cartridge. They are awesome and are very reasonable on their prices. And super duper on customer service! They are my go-to. Screw GameStop! 👍👍👍💯💯💯

8 Bits customer service is outstanding. They have a vast knowledge of retro/modern games. Every time I buy a game they clean it to make sure it works. I bought a Nintendo from them and they offered to replace my pins for free! 8 Bit Rules!! :D

I like these guys. They’re fair, and nice. Good selection in the store compared to other retro stores I’ve visited. I had a problem with a game I bought there and they had good customer service, and the issue seems to be with my actual console and not the game so I have no complaints there. However, I do have a slight issue with them insisting I just clean games and contacts with alcohol. They even kind of mocked the warning on the back of NES cartridges and claimed it was just a scare tactic to get people to buy Nintendo brand cleaner. Problem is, anyone who has worked with soldering or circuit boards knows you need very specific dilutions of cleaning products to effectively clean circuits or contacts. The type of alcohol they were using was

I broke my ps4 HDMI port and got it fixed here and unfortunately I paid in advance or I would have taken it somewhere else. they never answered my calls to see if it was ready And I was told it would take around 2 weeks and it took 3 months

Its a good place and they have a lot of interesting games and consoles... Just that every time I purchase a few games, one of them always seems to be scratched or unplayable and I have to either return it or get it buffed out while Im getting blame for it being my console (that works fine)

Aboslutely HORRID! We took a PS2 in for repair. We were never told it would take 6-8 weeks. After 4 or 5 weeks, we wanted to know what was going on. Constantly, we were told its being tested. Once we no longer accepted that placation, the employees started making excuses for the owner and why the machine wasnt ready or why the owner wouldnt call us back. We were lied to repeatedly. Finally, we got the machine back and it still only played some games. When we went back to find out why they didnt actually repair the machine we were told you can buy one of our refurbished machines. Are you kidding me!!!? Santa Fe, do not waste your time with these jokers. Go to We Buy Video Games in the SF Place mall. They actually know how to run a company and they can actually repair machines. Save yourself the headache and money. DO NOT GO TO 8 BIT EVER!!!
