My fiance and I visited Sky Coffee during our stay in Santa Fe, NM. We found out about Sky from a local who suggested them. We were super excited when we arrived and found out they were serving Onyx coffee (one of our favorite roasters). We got a pour over, espresso, and cold brew. The pour over was so nice, very sweet and fruity (I tried their ethiopian they were serving from Onyx). The espresso was so delicious!! The clarity in the espresso was insane, and the mouthfeel (texture) was also so nice. The cold brew was probably my favorite thing that we got though. I say this because cold brew is one of those drinks that a lot of shops struggle with. But Sky Coffee mastered their cold brew!!! It was full of flavor and complexity...probably the best cold brew I have ever had!Love this place, we cant wait to visit again!

Sky coffee is located in the Santa Fe Railyard area and its not easy to find unless youve been there before. You order your beverage at a walk-up window and when its ready, you can sit out on the small patio, or take it with you. I had a cappuccino which was really good. Im very particular about my coffee drinks and this place nailed it!

As a Coffeeshop owner and coffee roaster myself for over 17 years, it takes a great coffee to leave an impression! these guys nailed it. The espresso was a lighter espresso with mounds of tangerine and vanilla flavors to enjoy! I went to three different coffee shops in Santa Fe during my stay, and Sky was head and shoulders above some of the more trendier spots.I see some complaining about the prices on their reviews. Seriously? Santa Fe rent prices, machinery (all top notch), employee costs, Covid, electric, gas, insurance, employee payroll taxes, Cost of Goods, Etc..etc..A Coffeeshop does not run on the same margins as a grocery store, Jesus. Go make a latte at home if youre on a budget, or read an intro to business book. A shop has to profit on EVERYTHING, or it will not sustain.

Got a tremendously delicious oat milk matcha latte. It came out fast and the barista was friendly. The issue? $1.00 extra for oat milk? I recently got TWO x 64ounces of it for $6 at the store. This is price gouging, just because oat milk is ‘trendy’.

I went here while at the Santa Fe farmers market and Im so glad I did. I got a matcha latte and it was probably one of the best Ive had. It was lightly sweet and really refreshing. My dad got a cappuccino that was delicious as well. I wish this place were closer to where I live so I could go more often.

Was on vacation and stopped to get a coffee here with my family. Saw there was a limited menu and asked if by chance they could make a iced macchiato. The lady working here told me no we don’t do frapacionos here. Which is not what I was looking for by the way, so then I asked for a iced coffee with hazelnut and she tells me they don’t have that here either and that if I wanted Starbucks to keep going down the road... I told her to just cancel my order and I’ll take my business elsewhere. Having a small business myself I always try to help smaller shops but when they have service like this it’s kinda hard to.

Poor customer service. Typical cool kids working at a coffee shop. They’re more interested in looking at their screens than providing good customer service. The girl working the counter found it necessary to check her text messages in between pouring my hot water and the shot of espresso for my americano. Didn’t even say thanks for the business when she put my drink in the counter. Pretentious vibes. I’ll make my own coffee from now on. Sad baristas.

The advertised price of the coffee and the charge that showed up on my credit card were not the same. $1.75 over the posted price ($6.25 instead of $4.50 shown on the menu board) is not acceptable. The coffee was good and the service prompt, but none of it was outstanding.

Review №42

I’ll start off with that yes they do have pretty good coffee, their chai is fantastic. However the staff I encountered this morning was incredibly rude. No greeting when me and my Aunt entered, no asking what we would like, as she continued to have a conversation with another customer who was already seated with his drink. Even when we approached the register she continued her conversation without even a “ill be with you in a minute” which would have been appreciated. And when she did take our order she seemed very inconvenienced. While I did enjoy the coffee I won’t be returning because of the service. As someone who works in a coffee shop I guess id expect a better level of service.

I went to several different coffee shops around the area and I have to say the espresso here was the best out of all the shops I visited. Its easy to miss if youre not paying attention since there isnt a big sign on the outside. Its a really small, neat, quiet space with a nice view of the rail yard. I ordered an iced coffee with 2 shots and added in some of their local Kakawa chocolate which was melted down into my coffee. It was sensational! I couldnt have been more happy with how crisp my espresso was. The chocolate was an even better choice as it enhanced the drink overall. 10/10!!!

Three experiences here over three days. Day 1: exceptional drip and tasty donut. Day 2: barista late to work, shop opened 15 min late, and no pastries. Day 3: drip was weaker than on day one (should be consistent between baristas) and tasty pastry. Used the bathroom, which was an absolute disappointment. Shop has a nice level of finish. Bathroom had old vinyl flooring, dirty and old baseboards, toilet paper dispenser that did not roll easily, and overall grimy feel. That final experience made the entire shop feel phoned-in.

3 times that i went in, the staff had this tepid air about them and did not greet us/me when looking at me in the eyes(!). Hard to describe and i dont recall the last time i felt this in a business. It was an odd mixture of being sized up, wondering what to expect from me and... sort of that look you get when youre not a cool kid and arrive at a party. No joke! It was weird. I really dont recall the last time i entered a business and felt that... 3 TIMES IN A ROW. As for the coffee and espresso drinks? The beans they use for all of this are average at best, the barista skill is alright though! Its not the baristas fault the owner skimps on beans. The customer experience, the interaction with staff is my main gripe... and the quality of the bean. Of note, I really do know what Im talking about. 1988 is when i first learned to barista for Ron Gempel (Gemple?), the 1st American winner of an international barista competition at The Daily Scoop (cafe). My side gig is as a supervisor at a cafe currently. Take what i say as unbiased and fair, because it is.
