The staff/owners seemed nice. Ordered 2 Mochas and 6 pieces of chocolate. $57 and had literal sticker shock. But ok. “Family owned” “ Hand dipped” we were ready for amazing ness. UGH! The mocha was basically water with whipped cream on top. I threw it out before we left the plaza. Back in our Air BnB and nearly broke my tooth on a pear dipped stale chocolate tasting disappointment. The brownie was mildly eatable. Threw out everything else. I am a small business owner who loves to support other small business owners. I never give bad reviews but this was really atrocious and a sad and total waste of money.
We bought 3 truffles which they said were their best sellers. $16.25 and they were awful. Orange Blossom, Key Lime and dark chocolate. The dark chocolate was the only edible one.
Family owned very kind and genuine people. Chocolate was tasty. But it was family that owned the place that wouldMake me recommend and come back.
Overpriced for quality. The bark was dry and tasteless. Not impressed with service. There are better chocolate places off of the plaza.
Ran by such a kind family, the perfect spot to grab a warm cup of coffee, tea or hot cocoa while in Santa Fe. Leave room to pair with their excellently palatable and always freshly made, chocolate, thank you for the wonderful experience.
This place is awful! Sticker shock is the thing expressed here. It was $40 for a piece of almond bark and Ginger lavender. Each was about 3oz each! The next day it basically turned into a salt lick. Totally avoid this place! One star is way to generous!
This is the worst chocolate EVER. I got a piece of the apple caramel cinnamon bark just today, and am now trying to enjoy it in my hotel room. It was extremely overpriced, I am thinking it works out to about $60 a pound. My first clue should have been when I asked the gal working there to break me off a smaller piece, and she couldn’t. At the time I thought she did not know what she was doing, so I bought the entire larger piece at $29, it’s about a four inch square. I am surprised that I have not broken a tooth biting into this, The small piece I did manage to eat is hard, dry, no flavor, and seems to be old. i will be that person who says if I could give 0 stars, I would. These folks should be ashamed of themselves. Going to go back tomorrow to try to get my money back, i did not get a receipt, so the struggle may be real. Don’t buy anything at this place.
We love this little family-owned store in the heart of Santa Fe!! You can tell their handcrafted chocolates are made with love! Please stop in and say hi and definitely try anything in DARK!
I really really wanted to love this place. Its cute and they say its family owned and the staff answered my questions. So we went in and picked out a few truffles. I was told if i got 10 we would get a discount (there are no prices listed anywhere). So we got 10 and they rang it up to $75!! My jaw dropped but I paid sat down to enjoy what would surely be the best chocolate I had ever enjoyed. Epic disappointment. The chocolate was completly bland and the cookoes that were dipped in chocolate were stale. I couldnt taste a difference between the dark, mike or makers mark chocolate. They all had the same bland flavor. I should mentoin that for my $75 i also got an iced coffee that was good. I wish i had read the reviews before wasting my money and calories here
$75 for 10 pieces of chocolate and 2 iced coffees. Extremely overpriced. It would have been worth it if the chocolate was delicious. On the contrary, it lacked flavor. Honestly it was not good at all.
Can’t talk about the chocolate because staff refused the give husband bathroom code to use while I shopped. Clearly explained that I was going to buy multiple items while he used the facilities, to no avail. Went else where to spend our money. Very unfriendly.
Super nice staff and warm, welcoming environment. However, as others have mentioned, the prices for chocolate are poorly marked and incredibly steep, even by Santa Fe Plaza standards. We ended up spending ~$30 for maybe 1/2 pound of chocolate. We tried two types of milk chocolate bark that were okay, but comparable to Hersheys in quality. The nuts and fruit in the chocolate were bland and seemed like something purchased in bulk from Sysco. Lots of potential, but the quality and quantity really dont justify the cost.
Most expensive chocolate ive ever bought. Wouldnt have minded if it was good but its more like a dry semi- sweet chocolate. The dipped cookies have barely any chocolate on them but they still cost a fortune. On top of that they screwed up my order and charged me for 2 truffles that did not even sound good. Guess I will give them out as a gift. Extremely disappointed.
This was genuinely terrible. Got hot chocolate and a mocha, both of which were room temperature and watery. I couldn’t taste the chocolate. Would avoid.
The service was great and the family was very kind, but the two cookies we got were rock hard and we struggled to eat them.
Lovely shop, very pricey but great quality
Wonderful service and perfect chocolate! Who could ask for more.
Overpriced and not good quality. Prefer a bag of m&ms. Should have read reviews first and avoided.
I got a flavorless horchata which was 3/4 crushed ice, and two bland truffles - $17. The service was awful...HUGE waste of money.
Extremely pricey for something that tastes like I could buy it at any grocery store.
Worst chocolate ever and outrageous prices. I should have asked for a sample and the cost. Total tourist trap. Truffles were like goofy glue! Save your money for something else.
Amazing chocolate drinks and truffles! Unique flavors that are worth making a stop for; even on a hot day get one of their hot chocolates! I had the lavender hot chocolate and a lavender truffle and both were out of this world. Victoria was so nice and provided excellent service! Great local spot that Ill visit whenever Im in town!
Great find! Like any gourmet chocolate shoppe, it has a price that comes with it. We got several truffles for us and our friends as a dessert and they were simply amazing! We had the coconut with pistachio, milk chocolate, and the chili and chocolate. Melt in your mouth good! Will be going back for sure and I highly recommend if you are a chocolate connoisseur.
Expensive tasteless chocolate.
The most amazing small batch single origin chocolate shop there is in Santa Fe! 100% hand made! 100% made in house! This is the kind of place that measures ones capacity to review a chocolate shop. What a warm family environment and we love seeing kiddos in a beautiful place like this! How awesome it is to have an actual local business in downtown Santa Fe.
Friendly staff. Got a brownie and chocolate covered cashews for $27. Brownie was hard as a stone as if it was a week old and the chocolate covered cashews were super tired. Quality control is not a thing here? Way too expensive for the quality.
I went here ages ago when visiting Santa Fe, and as I like to fancy myself a chocolate connoisseur, my standards were high. I was not disappointed. Not only were the truffles and drinking chocolate amazing, but the staff was friendly and they had an obvious passion for what they were doing. I would definitely plan a trip to New Mexico solely to visit this shop again. And for the record, Ive seen a number of reviews complain about the prices, but Ive seen any number of places charge higher for products of lesser quality. The prices here are most certainly fair.
Best milkshake Ive ever had! It was the orange cream flavor, I strongly recommend. I also had the Bourbon dark chocolate truffle, that was good, but quite expensive. The staff was very welcoming and attentive. There were lots of other handcrafted sweet foods too, including drinks with coffee. Its an excellent place if youre looking to ease your sugar cravings with quality candies.
The wife and I stopped in for some dessert after lunch at the Bee-stro. Prices were a little high (in line with Santa Fe living) but the service was friendly. We each had two items and shared a shake, which was excellent. I had a peach and pear both dipped in milk chocolate. The peach was thickly cut and was a little tough to chew initially but the pear was thin and was slightly overpowered by the chocolate until the end of the bite where it came out. Caroline had a coconut ball and the earl grey truffle. As chocolate place they do an excellent job of highlighting the chocolate they serve and pair it with other tastes which do not upstage the chocolate.
OK so let me say something first,There are not ANY chocolate shops in Santa Fe that make 100% of their chocolate but this place! Everything is made in house and they even hand weigh and hand roll ALL of their truffles! What love is put into these chocolates. What a beautiful local family owned business. You dont see a lot of these anymore here in Santa Fe.
Went in to try some chocolate and get a drink, but the workers weren’t wearing masks so I didn’t feel comfortable getting anything from this business.
Staff was great and friendly... chocolate was ok but not to die for... the price was $19+ for a piece of chocolate and a scoop of icecream 😳
Great shop opened by a darling family! We had the original drink infused with orange blossom, toasted marshmallow truffle, red chilli cinnamon truffle and orange blossom truffles, and everything was amazing.
I was happy to have found a chocolate store to buy sweets for the Opera. Picked a couple of things that looked great. Not much just a couple of pieces of chocolate For my wife and I. To my surprise it was $24. Wow! Its expensive. It was almost the price for a meal for two I had next door at the Breeze Cafe. I should have said no but the chocolate was all wrapped up. I went ahead with the purchase but I feel bad. I definitely will not be recommending this place to my friends.
This place was tucked away and hidden off the plaza but is not to be missed. Earl Grey truffle was delightful and lavender honey did not disappoint. Cute family that runs it. Was the perfect after dinner treat.
Iced tribal hot chocolate is the most delicious thing I have had in my life! I came on my own the first time and made sure to bring the family the second! The staff is so delightful and welcoming and most of all, knowledgeable. Thank you for the wonderful experience!
The chocolate and sweets in this place are fabulous! The chocolate dipped pineapple slices are to die for!
Amazing selection of chocolate. Delicious non-dairy option. Must try: White Chocolate Mocha with Lavender... Definitely my favorite!!!
Amazing chocolate! I cannot lie, they got the best chocolates ever! My favorites are definitely those yummy margarita truffles and lavender chocolate balls! Absolutely delicious!
Terrible chocolate
Chocolate is tasty but the price is just too high. And you would not know until checkout unless you asked. If they could have displayed the price, i’d have zero complain.
Great tasting treats and awesome service. If you havent visited the shop, you re missing out on a variety of delicious treats. Its just off the plaza, grab something, take it to the plaza, sit on a bench and enjoy. you wont be disappointed
First, this is an expensive place. To be honest it exceeds prices of fancy chocolateries in Belgium or France, so be ready. The prices are not displayed apart from the prices for drinks, so the final bill can come as a surprise - for us it was over 60 USD! 😂😂😂 we were both shocked, but I felt like this is an authentic place and with my money I support actually these people and the excellent product they offer. Indeed the orange hot chocolate, ice-cream and pralines we tried were really good! I had vegan sweets and was positively surprised to find vegan options at all as so far its been quite hard.Overall, its pricy (could be a bit cheaper), but at least you get good stuff.
So delicious. Amazing chocolate and coffee
My wife, son, and I had a great time chatting with the owners, who are incredibly nice and obviously love what they do. The truffle and the mint chocolate-chip ice cream I had were excellent, as was the dark chocolate we sampled. We came away with a bag of that.
Hidden away in a small mall, this is well worth seeking out. Drinking chocolate was amazing with hints of cinnamon. Family run and super friendly.
I ordered a tribal coffee cold brew made with cinnamon & spices, it was very yummy! The service was excellent & I would definitely visit here again.
It feels funny rating a chocolate shop two stars. I love chocolate and I get the whole idea of specialty chocolate but their prices are too steep for chocolate that isnt that memorable. $17 for a small square of chocolate and a mini chocolate covered pepper ($3.50 for that alone!).Two stars because the dark chocolate/ black Hawaiian salt disc was very good.
The chocolates and tribal mochas were fabulous. We are so glad we stumbled upon this gem.
LOVE! My husband and I love the chocolates from here. Every time we stop by, my husband insists on getting 3 whole ones so he can enjoy two of them himself :) Mouth Watering!
Delicious unique chocolate. We loved the dark chocolate and gorgonzola truffle
Delicious chocolate, they offer 73% discs for you to nibble on while you order/think/chill. Cold brew was good. Got a piñon nut and chili chocolate, chocolate was excellent though the nuts were too subtle.
Hot chocolate, here, was remarkable. Incredibly chocolate. If Im not mistaken, I believe they literally melted down chocolate nibs in the kitchen on a stove to make it.
Delicious ice cream and truffles! I got mint chip with caramel and it was the perfect balance of sweet and mint. Sweet family business!!
Sample right away when walking in. Staff was super nice and knowledgeable. They really cared about the chocolate and helping you find what you like.
Beautiful and delicious selection of chocolates. They offer free samples so make sure to bring the family.
Very delicious,great customer service
Beyond pricey...we paid $15 for 14 oz of chocolate that left a lot to be desired. Unhappy... will never do that again.
Wonderful Chocolate! Very kind owner who really made us feel special, told us about town and really made our anniversary special!
Lots of interesting NM-style drinks and snacks, all very tasty. Friendly staff too!
I tried the hand rolled lavender ice cream, was the best ice cream Id ever had. ...
Best chocolate Ive ever had in my life!
Excellent variety of chocolates . Papaya chocolate, dark chocolate and jalapeños chocolates
The chocolate orange was amazing.
Chocolate-dipped cookies were hard and burned. High expectations, low reality.
Nice folks great chocolate 😎
Expensive and not worth it
Love this place
Lovely place!!
