Took our F150 to have the check engine light checked. Needed a coil replaced. And a pcv line. The truck is running great and we can get back on the road to Arizona. Rudy was very helpful and got the job done right away. Very knowledgeable and a good person. Honest and dependable. Will go there anytime we are in New Mexico. Thanks Rudy

Sounds like this place is hit or miss. Maybe its the stress of Covid-19 and lack of qualified employees. Nonetheless honesty and integrity goes a long way. Sir, just be honest about your time even if you dont know. When someone schedules an appointment have the integrity to say this may take a few days or even a week to get an estimate. People depend on accuracy even if it is inconvenient to be without a car at least you were honest and that goes a helava long way. In the meantime remember to take care of yourself in these trying times.

Rudy and Susie (sorry if Im misspelling the names) were extremely helpful, and took in my van on short notice while I couldnt get any other shop to look at it.They diagnosed the issue, performed the work exactly as described, were very transparent (I sat there the whole time the work was being done), and they were extremely friendly. They still call from time to time to make sure the van is running well.Highly recommend.

Out of all of the places i have been i would say this might be one of the most wholesome experiences. Roodie was very kind and took my vehicle in on two separate occasions. Remembering my name and even on the 2nd occasion being labor day i was pleased to have my vehicle in such safe hands. After doing work on the vehicle he ran me through the parts and described what was done to replace the parts which i really enjoyed. Not no get in pay and leave type of situation. I left learning new things about mt vehicle knowing it would be good for my continued trip across america. Id come back here any day Im around Sante Fe and encourage anyone else to do so as well.

A 5 star review of Santa Fe Auto Repair by Amy M.:We were thrilled to find Rudy at Santa Fe Auto Repair, We were here from out of town and had an emergency. He took us right away even though he was swamped with business and even came to our hotel and gave us a ride back to pick up the car. He was honest and showed us exactly what was wrong. I wish we had Rudy in our hometown. We found a mechanic and made a friend. I cant say enough about him!

Honest and talented company. Rudy and Susie came up with cost-effective, budget considerate solutions and suggestions to quickly fix my vehicle after I had received through-the-roof estimates from 2 other repair shops - saving me hundreds of dollars. Hats off to Santa Fe Auto Repair. You can trust them.

The people that work here are extremely rude. I definitely will not take my vehicles here anymore and I’ve told friends and family as well. This is not an isolated incident either, as my friend also had to deal with the sour attitude from your company. Disappointing and unprofessional.

After receiving a $400 estimate from JIffy Lube, I took my car over to Rudy and Susie. Less money, less repairs. Jiffy Lube was going to rip me off if it hadnt been for SF Auto Repair. They are now my go-to mechanic. I highly recommend them.

Best experience I have had at an auto shop in a long time. The owners were great and patient. Took forever for my truck to act up so we could figure out what was wrong. Rudy and Susie both took the time to educate me on a couple mechanical things that will be great to know in the future.I doubt any other place would have been so patient to wait and see what the issue was, in fact the couple places I called before them would not have.Drove from heron lake and it was well worth the excellent service.I cannot thank them enough for providing a safe and reliable place to get me back on the road.

After researching different auto mechanics in Santa Fe, I decided to go with Santa Fe Auto Repair. Im so glad that I did. Rudy is very trustworthy. He genuinely cares for his customers and wants the best for them. He drove me back to work and made sure that I had a way back to the shop after work. When I went in, all I asked for was an oil change. When I got the car back, the oil had been changed and the car had been cleaned! Rudy also explained to me that he saw an oil leak. He was very reassuring (that my car wouldnt blow up), but he also urged me to get it looked at. As I said above, Rudy is extremely trust worthy. Ive had a few bad experiences with mechanics (who hasnt?) but not at Santa Fe Auto Repair. I feel lucky to have such a great mechanic here in Santa Fe.Their new location is at 1595-1/2 Pacheco Street, right near the A-1 Storage Unit Place.

My experience with Santa Fe Auto Repair was fantastic--or at least as fantastic as an experience involving a broken-down car can be. The pricing is very fair and reasonable, and theyre very transparent about costs. My car was pretty damaged and the work they did on it was amazing--it came back to me in much better condition than I expected it to. I was in the process of moving and really needed my car back ASAP, and they went above and beyond to make that happen while still doing an excellent job. Theyre also just really friendly and genuine people. I will be recommending them to everyone I know.

I took my truck to another shop to have my A/C recharged. After less than 20 minutes, they said my system had a leak somewhere and I would need a whole new system for $1,200+. I found Santa Fe Auto Repair online and decided to get a second opinion. Rudy was awesome, spoke to me thoroughly over the phone, made time for me the next morning, and had coffee ready. He tested the system and it was holding pressure so no leaks. It was just VERY low on freon. Rudy refilled it, tested it, and had me on my way with cold blowing air in about 30 minutes! All for less than $200! He also explained a lot about the A/C system and said he could do many other services if needed. He is very knowledgeable and talented! The service was amazing! I highly recommend this place.

SCAM ALERT!! The owner Rudy, charged me $800 for one fuel line mainly because Im in Ohio and had no choice. A tow truck driver recommended this place. After paying an extra $800 in storage. Rudy found a buyer for my car... Sounds good right. Nope. I sent the title certified mail, and have never heard back. I have no idea how much he sold it for... I was asking $2000. I am in contact with the police now, apparently I am not the only one. Now, I have to have the buyer stopped and questioned about this SCAM!

This is a five-star review for excellent customer service even though they did not end up doing my repair.I walked in close to closing time and Rudy greeted me at the counter right away. After explaining my issue, he walked me back to the shop to see all the work he still had in the pipeline and was honest saying he couldnt fit me in anytime soon. I told him that must be because hes doing something right and without even asking, referred me to another shop.Im certainly glad I stopped there first and agree with all the other great reviews that Rudy and Santa Fe Auto Repair takes care of their customers, even if that means sending business elsewhere. Im a fan!

Thieves! If you want to get ripped off bring your car to these people. When I brought the car in I was told the cost would be estimated at 150-160 dollars. They tried to talk me into replacing more parts that did not need to be replaced. I told them no and so they Quadrupled the cost of part. If that wasnt enough they charged me an additional bogus materials and supplies fee of 28 dollars. There is no supplies or material needed for removing a pit man arm. It was just a way to squeeze money out of you. At a 15 minutes max job with a 40 dollar part ended up costing over 300 dollars. They were determined to get as much money as they could. Beware of seemingly nice folks but really they are just thieves. Very unprofessional. One of the parts they wanted me to replace was the master cylinder. it was fine so we told them no. When i picked up the car the master cylinder was tampered. I had to bleed all the breaks out. I guess they wanted me to bring the car back. The brakes are fine now and were fine before.

My radiator cracked later in the eve on Weds before Thanksgiving and I called this shop up, and they answered, unlike all other shops in town. I ended up having it towed that night to safely keep behind their gates for Thanksgiving and for them to evaluate early Friday morning. Rudy and Susan had my truck up and running by Saturday night. I plan to use them for more repairs coming up. A bit expensive, but they do quality work very quickly in the land of mañana.

They did the job 1/2 way without telling me, I checked it myself and it ended up costing me more unnecessarily (I went to Garcias on Airport Rd because they seem to be good) The owners wife got nasty, using foul language for no good reason.... I should have believed the bad reviews, there are a few one star experiences here.... I certainly wont ever be back again...😣Follow up: I barely avoided disaster when lugs ok the wheels they put on my car were loose, I noticed vibration at 70mph on the hwy and was shocked to discover the wheel was loose due to lug nuts.... !!!!!!

I used to respect and trust this shop. But now it seems to be rife with serious problems. My experience was horrible. I had been coming to this shop since 2004.Recently, I bought my car in to repair. After keeping it for nearly two weeks. Rudy the proprietor, screamed at me on the phone when I called in to ask when the car might be finishedHe also asked me to near to $2000.00 for repairs. When he brought the car back to my house, which was not authorized, at night. He came in to my house stinking of alcohol. He told me to sign the invoice and said the car was finished. He practically threw the car back at us.We found upon inspection, that he did not do all of the work he charged us for, parts were paid for which we did not go into the work. Also, the car was showing the coolant light on.We had to put 2 1/2 gallons of coolant into the car. And there is now a bad oil leak which the car did not have before. We will never go back there again. He still owes us work and money and will not answer my calls.

Santa Fe Auto Repair did a professional job in diagnosing and fixing my car, which was a relief considering that I was on vacation and needed my car repaired to get back to California. They pretty quickly found that several of my fuses were burnt out and drove to several locations around town as one of the fuses was a specialty item. My car still had some performance issues and they went the extra mile literally providing a free diagnostic to make sure my car would make it home. My car now operates at 100% thanks to them.

I had a negative experience when repairing a power steering hose at Santa Fe Auto Repair. Rudy charged $80 more than the dealers price for the hose. He lied to me. I asked if the cost would be lower if i waited and ordered the part. He said only $10 less. So i decided to go ahead and replace the hose. My husband alerted me to the lower cost. I should have repaired this at the Kia dealer, it would have been cheaper.

I cannot express enough how awesome these people are. Very honest, not trying to do a bunch of unnecessary work. I had a massive oil leak for almost eight years that other mechanics were like “I don’t know where the oil is coming from” and one look Santa Fe Auto Repair knew exactly where it was coming from. Fixed it in 5 minutes! I first came to the shop to replace the barings in my front wheel. I called almost ten shops in Santa Fe. Santa Fe auto repair gave the best quote, they use superior parts and guarantee their work for a year! Can’t beat that. And they are quick too. They will go straight to Napa for the parts if they don’t have them in hand. Even for my baring which had to be ordered they got it the next day.Second time I came in was for a check engine light on. They hooked my car up to the computer and it showed my coolant sensor wasn’t working. They showed me where it was and the technician touched it, silly thing wasn’t plugged in! He plugged it back in and everything was good. They didn’t even charge me for the diagnostics because I was a loyal customer!I will definitely be back when I need more work and I recommend them to everybody. Thanks guys!

Very surprised by the negative reviews. Cant please everybody I spose. Stopped here to get an oil change during a cross-country trip and was treated with the utmost respect and courtesy. Rudy gave me choices of oil & filters to use (something I am particular about as I generally perform my own services) and while the car was up on the lift, invited me into the back to walk around and show me a few things hed noticed. He even washed the car for me free of charge, checked the tire pressures and other fluid levels, and recommended an excellent camping spot that was on the way to our next destination. Price was fair, and we ended up hanging out and chatting with Rudy for awhile before heading on our way. There are few places these days that will give you this level of service, and based on my brief & painless experience there, I am forced to assume that these negative reviewers are not telling the whole story. Rudy is a wonderful person, and I wish there were more like him in the industry & the world.

I had a break fluid issue in combination with lateness on my part for an oil change and coolant replacement. The vehicle initially wouldnt start, but after having it towed here for the work, it began driving like nothing happened. Every thing he does is itemized and when I compared it to average prices I found I got deals.

I own an automotive repair shop in Tucson, AZ. My sister was passing through Sante Fe and her vehicle broke down. Pep boys wanted 300 dollars more then what we would charge for the same job at my shop. Found Sante Fe auto repair through google. Talked to Rudy. He said he would take care of my sister as if she were his. He checked out the vehicle and found it was not worth repairing. He recommended taking it back to where she bought it. He did not charge for diagnosis. Very Honest shop.

Im wrighting this review on a beach in Hawaii while thinking about him.Any time I have trouble with my Red 5.0 68 Mercury Cougar I give my grampa a call. Its pretty cool that he can diagnose the car to a point just over the phone. One time I called and I said grampa the car wont start, he asked me a few things and it all checked out. Then he asks if I had the car in natural or park? Nope I had left my car in drive so it would not start.
