These guys are wonderful! They take their time to understand the problem, give you a detailed estimate, and a thorough explanation & receipt once the work has been completed, including the technician’s comments. On my most recent visit, they helped me make an informed decision as to whether repairs were needed at that time with no pressure whatsoever. As a single woman, I trust them completely and wouldn’t take my car anywhere else.

I had let a friend borrow my 2013 BMW 135i to drive from Denver down to Santa Fe New Mexico .for a few days . I had just purchused the vehicle from CarMax a couple months earlier . While on his to Santa Fe he got overheating messages and had to pull over multiple times to finish the last leg of his trip . This was on a Sunday, Monday morning I called Automotive Resources and spoke with Matt he was able to get my BMW in for service right away, shocker was he was able to get the necessary parts (Water Pump) and have them installed by 4pm it was truly a miracle and saved my friends trip as he needed to be back in Denver Tuesday morning . Not only that but Matt was able to communicate with CarMax and have CarMax cover the entire bill since it was still under its 90 day warrantyI really wish they were in Colorado as Id be a loyal customer

My radiator broke down completely in Santa Fe. Needed to find some place because Towing it to Albuquerque was going to add another $400. I pulled up these guys on a Google search. The shop is very clean and professional. Reasonably priced and very friendly. Im very glad to have found them because I have no idea of any mechanics in Santa Fe. That can be a very scary thing but they Were very professional and got my car done in a timely manner. I came in late on Friday afternoon. But my then was kept locked up inside their garage. I didnt have to worry about theft and that was an extra boost of confidence. These guys are great! I would recommend them to anybody in town or even if someone breaks down inside of Santa Fe. You may not know where to go but you can trust these guys! And I dont say that for very many mechanics!

Matt and Mario run a well-oiled machine. They are careful not to book more business than they can handle on a day-to-day basis, so sometimes you have to wait up to a week for service. Be patient - its worth it. I also love the new location -- spares having to head out to shops along Cerrillos Road -- plus it is well maintained.

My experience was so positive. They were organized, efficient, and what wouldve taken other garages several days to finish, took them half a day. I have no other sources of transportation other than my own car. I greatly appreciate their efficiency and they were very nice!!!

Automotive Resources is a great & friendly auto shop! They’re great at communicating what’s going on, what they’ll need to do and how much it will be to fix. I was on a road trip through town and needed help with my 10 year old Honda CRV. They were able to squeeze me in and troubleshoot the issue and fix it right up. Great group of people and really friendly. Would highly recommend.

I just had an amazing experience at Automotive Resources. We were vacationing in Santa Fe and ran into car troubles. They saw us the same day and had us in and out in 30 minutes. They found an unrelated, non-urgent issue with the car and recommended that we take it to our dealership, as it should be under warranty, rather than trying to convince us to get it fixed by them. They even helped us write down the exact problem, so we know what to say when we go to the dealership. All of this, and they didnt charge us a dime. Automotive Resources approached us with kindness, honesty, and integrity.

This company seemed honest and realistic about what my old car needs to be safe. Their prices are fair and they give an AAA discount. They told me everything that needed repair and then were clear about which were essential and which werent. Then, this morning I realized that there was a serious gas leak. I had to have it towed back to AR. The shop manager was at first totally dismissive of the problem and tried to mansplain to me that there was nothing wrong. The puddle of gasoline in front of my house proved this to be untrue. Luckily the owner stepped in and asked me the important question which was had I filled it up, which I had, Apparently when it was full the faulty O-ring leaked until the gas tank got down to a certain level. As it turned out they were able to fix it, despite it being late Friday afternoon. I hope the owner can get his people to be as thoughtful, polite and helpful as he is.

There were several options for appointments, it was easy to schedule my oil change.My vehicle needed additional services and I was contacted immediately with what needed to be done, as well as what the total price would be. This helped me make a decision about that additional service.

This company provides excellent service. I made an appointment to take the car in for service. They handled everything quickly and even gave me a ride to the rental car place. They finished the work earlier than I expected. When I picked up the car it was cleaner than I left it and it worked beautifully.

Very professional. Estimate for replacing the alternator in my Honda CRV was $300 less than at the dealer. Turned out they didnt do the work - alternator tested fine. My one complaint was the discrepancy between the estimate of the time it would take to test the alternator (15 min) and the actual amount of time it took (1.5 hours) But they did a thorough job and I walked out $40 poorer, instead of $700. A good day!

The employees here are very kind, but I question their practice and pricing. I chose this place because of its good reviews, but maybe I shouldve done more research first. I brought my car in after calling, knowing it was leaking oil and that it was most likely an issue with the oil pan, and I let them know that even before I dropped the car off. He quoted me $67.50 for a diagnostic, which seemed slightly ridiculous, especially since I already knew (for the most part) what was wrong, but still mostly understandable. I promptly received a call back informing me that my oil drain plug was stripped, so the oil pan would need to be replaced. My original quote was $763 for an oil pan replacement and an oil change/filter replacement. It ended up being lowered to $731, and then again to $630. This still felt a bit steep to me, so I called my family mechanic back home and he quoted me about $350-400. I then called another shop in the area and was quoted about $300 for the same repair. I let them know that I would be taking my car elsewhere, as I could not afford that repair charge, and was told that my oil leak diagnostic would be $86. No work whatsoever was done to my car, just a quick check to see exactly what was leaking. Again, it is understandable to be charged, but being charged that much when I had told them from the beginning that I knew the car was leaking oil seemed a bit ridiculous. When I tried to ask about the charges, my questions were completely ignored. The employees I spoke with were usually very patient and kind, but it definitely seems like theyre overcharging. I attempted to ask about the pricing for the diagnostic and did not receive a proper response. I know that repair shops need to mark up a little to make a profit, but trying to charge $600+ for a $300-400 repair is unfair. Im sure this would be a good place to go for some repairs, but I will most likely be taking my business elsewhere. I appreciated their attention and care to my issue, but again, especially as a college student, I do not have the money to pay almost twice as much as I should for a single repair.UPDATE: I was just informed by the other shop that the oil pan didn’t even need to be replaced, only the oil drain plug. I was definitely being overcharged for my necessary services. I am very disappointed.

Went for an oil change and ended up trying to convince me that my car was unsafe to drive unless costly repairs were done. Second and third opinions proved otherwise - I believe they saw out of town plates and were banking on us wanting to avoid being stranded. Avoid!

Quick service and they delivered my vehicle to me.

On Monday this week my wife and I was traveling from Colorado Springs. Colorado back to Phoenix Az . My wife had a appointment in Denver. So we left Phoenix AZ heading to Denver Colorado. So the GPS took us towards Durango Colorado. Going East 160 to I 25. The route took us up Wolf Creek Pass. The pass had 10 inches of snow on it too. Very beautiful sites so we made it to Denver and did what needed to be done. Moved our storeage unit and then took more things back to Phoenix AZ. We left Colorado Springs heading back late at night we stayed in pueblo. We started off the next day on Tuesday morning. Thinking about the load on the truck we came down I 25 instead of going back the Wolf Creek Pass. Well we was about 47 miles north of Las Vegas NM. And I was driving about 65 to 70 mph. When my right rear axle came out of the truck. Really scared both my wife and I. Couldnt find my wheel and tire. So I called ROADSIDE ASSISTANCE AAA . And I told the driver to drop us off in Santa Fe so we made it here at the shop. The shop is very friendly people everyone is Tom the owner is very nice and very hospitable along Mario and Matt the shop is very busy and clean. Even though the shop couldnt help us due to limited funds I highly recommend this shop even though we live in Phoenix if we ever need help with our vehicle again in Santa Fe I will be stopping here again. Had my car towed here for a replacement battery. They got it done much sooner than I anticipated and it was less expensive than the bigger chain store.

Any time I need help with my 23 year old car I take it to Tom Hitch at AR where it gets immediate attention while I get a ride back home from Tom or one of the friendly service people. This has happened quite a few times during the ten years that Tom has serviced the car. Along with getting fast service I get a thorough explanation of what work was done and advise about maintenance. The cost has never been as high as it would be at a brand dealer. My 1993 BMW 325i is in excellent condition and soon to become a classic.PS: You dont need a fancy car to get good affordable service from Tom.

This place completely overcharged me for simple maintenance work. When I asked them to explain what was taking up that much labor time they skirted around the answer but I needed my car worked on so I went and got the work done anyway to my big mistake. Over $700 later only getting new spark plugs and a new battery my car died on me the following week. I brought it to another mechanic who gave me a fair price and confirmed that I had indeed been overcharged for the work. I will do my homework a lot more closely next time. Go somewhere else.

I can’t say enough good things about this place. My brother and I were on a road trip when we broke down and had to be towed. They were so friendly and really went the extra mile to help us in the pinch we were in. They got us back on the road as soon as the could.

Took my car in for a diagnosis in October 2018 after the steering column started vibrating at low and high speeds. The salesperson told me that the rear differential had a bad leak and would have to be rebuilt immediately. They also recommended lots of other fixes that in total would have cost more than the car is worth. As I was leaving the salesperson said to “call AAA if the car breaks down” since the rear differential was empty, and that I could lose the drive train. I then took the car to a jiffy lube and the rear differential appeared to be leaking badly, but was full. I called Automotive Resources again to ask if they had filled it, and they again claimed that it was empty. Posting this as a warning to other customers.

I love this place. Tom strives to provide quality service at a reasonable price. They are concerned about your safety and they get you in immediately when you are in a bind. Thanks for keeping me on the roads safely.

Honest & Reliable... this is the first time I gone for a second quote & they actually showed me what really was & wasnt in comparison to Toyota of Santa Fe. They showed me pictures. For instance they said, I needed a Tune-up, verses Automotive Resources showed me where they lifted only one Spark plug off & the rest of them were not looked at, plus they didnt secure the Spark plug back. And on top of that my Spark plugs are made of Paltimiun. Which means they last forever. So they saved me from being taken advantage at Toyota. They possibly have inexperienced mechanics or would have made out like bandits, with my Spark- plugs... I am very grateful for Automotive Resources.

Anthony Vigil and the mechanic took time to explain the process, what they found. They even directed us to an awesome breakfast place to wait. Highly recommend.

Anthony has excellent customer skills and while away from home he helped me at a time when I needed repairs on my cars. He was very thorough in communicating what had happened to my vehicle, procured the parts in a timely manner, and didnt change the scope of repairs. Excellent service.

Thank you Tom! Reasonably priced and made breaking down painless! I was on a road trip from Kansas to AZ with my boyfriend and dog when my car broke down ~100 miles from Santa Fe. AAA towed us to this shop and Tom waited for us almost an hour after closing. He gave us a ride to the hotel and even a good restaurant recommendation to go to that night. When I called at 9 am the next morning my jeep was already ready and someone came to pick us up at the hotel!

At first I was really pleased when I contacted Automotive Resources, as they are very friendly and professional. But after having the truck I bought after they did a full pre-sale inspection...I would not recommend this shop to anyone. They inspected the most simple parts of the truck leading me to believe there was nothing wrong with the truck. Lets just say a little more work on their end would have saved me over a thousand dollars.

This is such a great place to use as a mechanic because I am absolutely certain that im getting the best service possible. I recommend them. I get the most accurate, HONEST assessment of what work needs to be done. And then the work gets done correctly and all is well.

We have taken our car there many times for a check ups and other services. The last time we asked them to check the oil because it was leaking. They told us it was fine and to just continue putting oil in it. Not too long after, the oil pumped failed and caused our engine to fail. We had to get another car because our car then needed a whole new engine. I believe this could have been prevented if they had done a more thorough inspection, especially since their services are overpriced.

Fixed my battery and did a great check up inspection of my truck.

Not the quality place I expected. They did an initial check on my truck and told me my back brakes were satisfactory, but my front brakes needed to be replaced, I needed a new idler bar, and a few other I cant recall. I took my truck elsewhere for a second opinion, and it turns out the idler bar is just fine. My back AND front brakes, however, were worn down to the drums and needed to be replaced stat. They were also able to show me all the wear and tear on my brakes and what the new parts would look like. And that was all that was wrong with my truck. I do not recommend Automotive Resources to anyone.

Would not recommend this facility, unless you want to spend money foolishly. Always trying to sell more work than what folks bring their vehicles in for. Service work is okay, but they often miss little details. Of course, they are willing to fix those for another charge.Maybe they should change the name to We Liberate Your Resources.Yeah they have been around for a while and they have loyal customers, but as P.T. Barnum once remarked, Theres a sucker born every minute. Seems some folks dont mind paying more for basic automotive repair work. Good for them, but there are better automotive repair shops in Santa Fe than this facility.

I broke down and was towed in. They fixed me up within 1 1/2 hours. They were very nice. I also forgot my laptop, and it was there waiting for me, safe, when I drove back through town the following Monday.

The staff was friendly and helpful. They even washed the car after it was finished.
