Honest!-too often a rarity today. The Angels were prompt, thourough in analyzing an issue, and reported that no work was necessary. Plus, I got a ride from and to the shop from Gabriel.

On the road back to San Diego from Black Lake, NM when I started to loose my clutch while pulling my horse trailer with horse on board late on a Friday afternoon. After my experience at Auto Angel, I felt like I had been taken advantage of as a customer. Brought my car in for spark plug and ignition coil related problems for which I had a previous diagnostic done in which I had the results and shared with Auto Angel. A.A stated that they needed to do their own diagnostic to confirm issues (fair enough) so would be completing that and letting me know the final outcome of what the issues were. Next day got a text from them with prices and issues [image attached]. I could not for the life of me figure out how a diagnostic could cost $188 and spark plug and coil boots cost an additional $574! Additionally, the other items on the list were exorbitantly priced and it just seemed odd to me that the prices were so high. Was I missing something? I called A.A to confirm the pricing and had a break down of each part price as well as labor ($135/hr). They might do good work, but honestly, are you kidding me?! The pricing was insanely high even with the ‘36 month warranty and coverage across the US’ which they so heavily relied upon saying to me again and again. I did some quick calling around in the area which is littered with auto service places and whenever I got a quote over the phone for the exact diagnosis, parts and labor, they were all substantially lower than A.A and the other parties on the phone were shocked by the prices I was given from A.A. I know people have to make money, but this place is blatantly gauging people and doing it with a smile on their face. I was not happy as I left the parking lot on the way to another auto shop because I knew I just got ripped off of $188 for information I already knew about my car, and for them to visually check out the spark plugs. If you don’t care about money, go to Auto Angel, I’m sure you’ll be satisfied. But if you’re like me and care about how you spend your money, be weary of this place, question everything before signing anything and call around to other places in the area for much better quotes

Once again the Auto Angel team was there for me! My brakes went out coming home from the dump. I managed to get to a parking lot where I could call and got a hold of Owen. Dumped oil all over my engine

I was traveling through Santa Fe and had a venting problem in my Mazda B4000 pickup, where I was not getting AC air to feed through my cabin vents. Thinking first that it might be a more serious problem, Gabriel tracked it down to a simple breached vacuum hose line that was easy to replace and not as expensive as I had feared. It took a good while for them to work me in amongst other scheduled customers, but I got it fixed and was on my way in reasonable time. Thanks!

Ive been taking my aging Chevy Malibu Maxx to Auto Angel for a couple of years now. They did an incredible job of diagnosing a tricky problem when my power steering went out. Not only were they welcoming and friendly they did an incredibly good job. Ive been bringing my baby to them ever since. They really care about their customers, and the community. Their customer service is that best I have ever received from a mechanic. The first time I called to get an alignment check they let me know that my tire store might do it for free. They also let me know that they are having a special a few days after the appointment date I requested, stating that I might save a lot of money if I wait a few days for my appointment. Money is not their first priority, people are. They also did some unique work on my vehicle without shaming or trying to up-sell me. The work they did was high quality and I felt respected and listened to throughout the whole experience. I would recommend Auto Angel to anybody.

This is unlike any other auto shop I’ve been to, and I mean that in the best way! Every person I’ve interacted with there is kind, honest, and generous enough with their time to explain what they’re doing with my car and why. I never want to go to another shop again!

I have been traveling across the country in my van and a mechanic friend of mine helped replace some parts. But also suggested I fix my suspension because it was in critical condition. So while on the hunt for a good mechanic while in Santa Fe some of the things I look for in a mechanic shop. What kinds of certificates they have and auto angel has a lot of up to date certificates as you can see in my photo. And how clean and what kind of tool boxes they have in their shop preferably snap on tools because it’s an indication that the technician cares about their tools and needs to get to them in a fast and efficient manner. Not only did auto angel check my first two check boxes. They had amazing customer service. And I went in expecting to spend around 800 for an upper arm joint and ball and came out spending just $400 because all I needed was a ball joint and because it was threaded I could replace just the bad part as opposed to both. I asked a lot of questions. Even asked why they were not replacing both and I got a an excellent explanation of what was going on with the car with diagrams. The cost of the diagnosis does not get included with the work. But given they give you a digital report card on the health of your car I think it was money well spent it includes photos or videos of the components of your car that have issues so you can show the next mechanic. It was great to know what was in critical condition, what to keep an eye out for and signs that it’s time to replace, and things I could work on myself such as changing out the battery. It was very comprehensive. And there was no up selling me or scaring me into getting more work done than what I needed to get me going again on the road.I brought my van in bright and early at 7 am and had my car on the road again by 5pm. Considering how many cars they had at their shop and how busy they were I was extremely grateful to have my car back by the end of he day.Not only is the customer service top notch he even offered to let me call them if I ever had any issues on the road so he could help me figure out if I needed a tow, if I could make it to the next town and get things worked on and offered to even help me find a mechanic in the technet network so that my work will be covered where ever I go. He really is an auto angel and it’s soo hard to find a good honest mechanic. I just wish he was located in California because if he was he would be my go to mechanic!!!Also bonus perk about auto angel. They are right across the street from meow wolf. So I spent the whole day there and it was amazing!

My family and I were traveling through New Mexico en route to Dallas. While traveling Sunday evening between Albuquerque and Santa Fe our engine like came on. During our drive to New Mexico I noticed our car was having some issues. I asked some friends in Santa Fe and they recommended Auto Angel. My boyfriend and I were driving through Santa Fe on a road trip when our car started having issues with the key and ignition lock cylinder. Gabriel helped us out in the BIGGEST WAY. He saved us money, time, and stress. He explained our options clearly, helped us make a plan, and had us back on the road within an hour. Auto Angel is unquestionably one of the very best auto repair shops Ive ever encountered. Everyone I met there, Gabe, Todd, Owen, and Emilio, was genuinely friendly and very polite. Even better, however, was the service they provided. On the first day I took my car in, they provided an inspection and an e mail report on what they found together with estimates of what repairs would cost. Interestingly, there was no charge for this service, and on top of that, they swept my car clean, and even included free lollipops when I came to pick it up. Then Todd told me of their 60+ point inspection which involved an even more detailed examination of the car from top to bottom and front to back, and the cost for that service is a bag of groceries and personal toiletries which Auto Angel donates to the Santa Fe Food Bank! I selected this service, and brought my car back in. Well, so many problems and potential problems were found in my 18-year-old car which they texted and e mailed me about, so I requested that they repair everything that they found wrong with my car. Long story short: they did a fantastic job!!! My car now runs like a dream. All the oil leaks, broken and cracked hoses, belts, and even the about-to-pop timing belt were fixed and/or replaced. And best of all, it cost far less than I expected. So, essentially, I got a beautifully restored car that runs like new for much less than the cost of even a good used car!Quite naturally, I am very pleased to recommend Auto Angel and its fine crew of professionals to anyone who desires great quality work at a very reasonable price!

We brought my 2006 Volvo in for a 50,000 mile inspection. Workmanship and service were excellent and communication was an unexpected delight. The team provided quick updates and answers by text and were available by phone as needed. Gabriel was honest and clear about what work needed to be done on the sooner side and what could wait. Prices seemed fair: comparable or better than other places where weve had the car serviced. Well definitely be back.

Auto Angel is, hands-down, the best shop Ive dealt with. They are honest, competent, and timely. On top of this, they do a lot for our community. Here are a few examples:1) My old Tercel was stalling. I suspected a bad smog component, and expected the repair to cost a few hundred and take a few days for a special order. After only a couple of hours, Gabriel called to tell me that they found a broken vacuum fitting that was causing the problem. They charged me $70 for the diagnostic work--the total bill. An incompetent mechanic would have spent hours diagnosing that problem,. A dishonest mechanic would have billed me for a part I didnt need...and Id have been none the wiser.2) A teacher friend from T or C drove up to Santa Fe with some kids on a field trip. They broke down south of town. Auto Angel arranged a quick tow and expedited the repair to get those kids home, and they didnt break the teachers bank either.3) Every time Ive taken a car in (I like to drive beaters), theyve given accurate estimates of prices and timelines. A bad mechanic will bid low with an unrealistically short timeline to get you through the door...and theyll try to sell you on unnecessary repairs. Auto Angel doesnt need do do any of these things because they get plenty of business. Theyve never charged me more than the estimate, and theyve never finished a job late. Oh, and Ive never had to take my car back because of a mistake.4) Auto Angel gives free inspections if you bring in a couple of bags of food for Food Depot (if theyre not too busy). Since their mechanics are top-notch at diagnostics, this is a crazy-good deal for you, and it supports a lot of hungry people.

Great people, honest and fair

The gang at Auto Angel are always ready to help. If you just need to drop by for a quick oil check, they find the time to help you out. They are friendly and honest and never try to sell you what you dont need.

Owen was great. We had a fuel injector go out 9 months ago and unfortunately also fried the computer board which Auto Angel fixed. They also shopped around and found a refurbished board which reduced our bill by $500. We recently had another fuel injector go out last week. Owen suggested replacing all of our fuel injectors as to not fry the computer board again. In the long run will save us roughly $3000 if they go out one by one. They are very knowledgeable and friendly. Highly suggest them!!!! Maybe a little more expensive than other places, but they are thorough and get the job done right.

I dont have loads to spend and i take my car to Gabriel & family at Auto Angels for complicated and simple fixes too.--we are so so thankful to them for keeping our repair bills reasonable, being so friendly and experts at what they do. Took my 2010 Ford F-150 to the Auto Angle for a fluid leak. I believe they everything they could to find this leak. But alas, they could not find it.On the positive side they were very good with their communications. Kept me informed as to the progress ( or lack thereof in my case). So this review is positive, I will used them again. As for my truck, I havent a drop since the original incident. Have no idea what caused the fluid under the truck. All is well, I think.

Weve taken all our cars to Gabriel for the past 5 years. Wouldnt go anywhere else. Very smart staff who always help me figure out the best approach. Definitely low pressure. And I love that they do a complementary annual evaluation if you bring a bag of food for the food pantry. Thank you Gabriel!

This is the first review I have ever written for a business. I do so now because I am so pleased to be able to report that there are, after all, automotive repair shops that are interested in providing top notch service at fair market value. I have been taking my RAV4 to The Auto Angel for seven years and have never been disappointed in the service provided by owner, Gabriel Garcia, and his outstanding employees. Nor have I ever felt that I was being unfairly overcharged because I am a single woman - which has happened so often in the past. Please do yourself a favor and have your car(s) serviced at The Auto Angel! This is a really positive experience with very good people.

I dont know anything about cars, every time I come here they always take the time to explain everything and answer my questions. They dont make you feel patronized if, like me, youre clueless about cars and how they work. Really good customer service, and they take really good care of my old 4Runner. Highly recommend.

I went to four auto shops on Cerrillos Rd with the same headlight issue. Auto Angel fixed the problem in just a few minutes, and was very helpful. Will go here for all other repairs when in Sante Fe.

I popped in to see what was wrong with my wiper blades and was impressed by the excellent service. They fixed my problem quickly, didn’t charge me, and taught me something about my car. I’ll be back for any future service needs!

Absolutely the best place in town. My husband had to take my Chevy in and right from the beginning they were honest, fair, up front, guide you in the right direction and in no way trying to just take tour money. They vacuum your vehicle, wipe and down and who doesnt want to see 3 little suckers in your car when you get back in, Top notch .We will be sending anyone we know or ask to Auto Angel.
