Our experience was both good and bad.First, the good... The staff at this location is made up of professional, hardworking, kind individuals who are doing the best they can to get the job done, and they should be commended for their efforts when they are clearly painfully understaffed. The staff was communicative, patient, and they acknowledged our frustration with how our appointment went. They are the reason I gave this location three stars instead of one.Now, the bad... This location is terribly understaffed. My husband and I made an appointment to get tires put on a vehicle, and the work wasnt even started until 3 hours after our scheduled appointment time. We dropped our vehicle off in the early afternoon and didnt get it back until closing time, which meant we wasted half a day off in a holding pattern when we had a ton of other important tasks that needed doing. We were not happy.Pep Boys- I dont know what exactly is going on or what can be done to fix it, but if your situation is like most others this problem is likely secondary to you not taking good enough care of your people.This location has some great employees, I hope you appreciate that. And they need help, badly.Please figure it out and find ways to hire and retain quality humans, because as of now we probably will not be back and we do need a few more things done.
First time in Santa Fe. Arrived @ 4 p.m. needing assistance with tires. Stopped at Pep Boys and received wonderful service. Staff were friendly and very willing to address the issue.
I got a flat tire and Cruze was able to fit me in even though they were crazy busy! Pep Boys in Santa Fe is the place to go, they are accommodating, customer service oriented and always do an Excellent Job!
Retail store was closed, but the service area was open, so I was able to get the wiper blades I needed. Attendant was very nice and did the installation for me.
Didn’t have an appointment but they still took care of me. Had to wait a bit but they were super helpful and worked to get me back on the road. I’d recommend them just make an appointment if ya can if not just expect to wait a bit but it’s well worth the wait. Thanks Pep-boys Sante Fe!

They checked my car to make sure there was no issues with my car and it was fine. They are professional and concerned about my vehicle. Usually when I take my vehicle to other auto shops they seem to find a expensive problem with it. They are honest mechanics and I will take my vehicle here for future maintenance! Thank you Pep Boys

In the spirit of full disclosure I m not a fan a chains, and prefer to take my business to small local places, but circumstances force to buy a full set of tires and I am glad I did it here. I was pleasantly greeted by Cruz, given an accurate estimate on how long the job will take, no upsales, no pressure. Work done on time. Glad I broke my rule. If I were a local ill do my repairs here.

You would think they would all be connected to get your information to pull up but you have to go to the original store you purchase the tires from to get your information. Tires are overpriced here, Discount will match any tire online. Discount Tire is the way to go!
Pepboys website and Google say they open at 7:30. They dont open till 8. Thats bad service/ CommuionI went to Big O Tires. They open at 6am. On time
Scheduled an alignment and was told it would take an 1 1/2 hours but instead took 3 hours and when I was paying, the manager pointed at me and said your jeep is a mess in front of everyone else waiting and then said someone has been romping around in it, insinuating that the girl who owns the jeep (me) couldnt possibly be the one romping around, and told me they did the best they could to fix it. He was scolding me like he was my parent and talked to me like I didnt have the slightest knowledge about my jeep. Clearly I knew it needed an alignment and if it were something I could easily do at home, I would not have gone out and paid for the service. Very poor customer service from the manager, the other workers were nice . I will be going elsewhere next time.
The service guys Robert and Cruiz were informative friendly and I got in 15 minutes early for my appointment and they already had my paperwork ready and took my vehicle right away. They were professional and gave me some info about my car that was insightful and advised me of some services my vehicle will need in the near future. Overall 5 stars and I will be returning more often for service on my vehicles.
There is a reason why this place is closing. Ive had multiple bad experiences. First was they replaced struts in an suv and placed a part incorrectly. I had it aligned, purchased what I was told was a lifetime alignment found out after second set of $900 tires in 13 months that it wasnt aligned correctly because it couldnt be. Firestone lifetime alignment is actually lifetime, they discovered the part placed incorrectly. I took it to Firestone because no matter how many times I took it in to pep boys for an alignment it shook and wore our tires out. Second was a battery situation, i was told the battery was under warranty but when I took it in they said they no longer sold the battery. It wasnt covered, I just went to Sams where its pretty straight forward, used my useless battery as a core back up and running.
I bent a rim on my RV coming out of Colorado. I called ahead and spoke to Robert and he had a wheel/tire combo that would fit on my trailer. I was running on an 8 year old spare, so I needed it changed out before heading on to North TexasI’m docking a star because I asked Robert if I could make an Appt for 10:30am as that’s when GPS said we’d get into Santa Fe, he said don’t worry about it, just come on by.We get there, he then said upon arrival “we got slammed and it’ll be 2 hours”I guess my persistent pestering helped speed things up as he let me bring my trailer down in front of the bays and assigned a tech to change out the wheel/tire and then replace the 8 year old spare with the good tire off the bent rim.All in all it was 60-75 minutes total and we had some delicious tacos at a food truck in the parking lot ($12 for 4)Robert turned out to be a pretty cool guy, even talked to my 5 year old son about where we lived and our vacation. I guess he just needs to warm up to you. He runs a tight ship there so don’t get offended if he’s curt with you at first.

Was the first appointment of the day today (a Sunday). The tires I had ordered online, which showed as available at the Cerrillos Road location and were buy 3 get one free, were only partially available--they had 3, not 4 as I had requested. So the service tech on duty, Aaron, showed me another similarly priced, all-season tire which had a better tread design for snow (which was something I liked). They were not on sale, but he said he would match the buy 3 get one free offer. The tires were mounted and balanced promptly. Aaron even saw that my car had its low oil indicator on, and added some oil at no charge. I appreciated the friendly, top-notch service Aaron provided, and will continue to go to the Santa Fe Pep Boys on Cerrillos Road for my future tire needs.
Incompetent. Called for a tire replacement, scheduled, and when I arrived they didnt have the tires. Offered nothing to make the situation better.
I had a 2 pm appointment to install 4 tires. I arrived 10 minutes early. They said they were going to be about 15 minutes late but didnt get my vehicle in until 4:30 and took an hour and a half finishing. They were never apologetic and took my money with barely a thank you. Prices were good but I dont know if its worth the wait.

Horrible customer service. When i first went in i was sitting there for like ten minutes before they even acknowledged i was there. I went to get my tire fixed and they told me it would be an hour. So i went to go get something to eat and wasted an hour waiting because when i went back after an hour they havent even started it. So i took my tire back and went somewhere else. You should never let a customer walk out the doors but if and when you do that just goes to show right there the customer service you have. Never Again!
Man, I cannot say enough about this shop and the Pep Boys crew. I am driving across country and needed a last minute oil change before heading into the desert.Cruze and Jason took my truck in on Sunday, and made sure everything was good to go! Their sharp attention to detail and genuine customer service was impressive to say the least. They not only changed my oil, but also looked at my tires and coolant level to ensure my truck was safe to drive.I highly recommend this shop and Cruze +Jason.
I arrived last Sunday for a tire repair. Wait time was about an hour and a half. When I was given my key remote for my Chevy cruz, the whole key blade was bent and didn’t even close properly as the assistant manager handed back my keys. When I took my key back and noticed that something was wrong, I open the key and it snapped off. GREAT! I showed the assistant manager my key and he tried gluing it?? I ended up having to put the key in as two pieces just so I could get home. I was really disappointed in the lack of responsibility Cruz took for my key. I’m mad because this key is about 250 to repair and I gave pep boys my car and key and essentially my trust to take care of my very expensive things. If they can break and not care about a simple key fob, makes me think about everything else they “take care” behind closed doors and under the hood.I get that accidents happen. I’m not mad that my key broke at this point. I’m angry at the fact that this business can’t own up to what they did and offer a solution. I brought my Subaru Crosstrek in for an oil change a few months ago and received great service for a competitive price. Then, I recently brought it back for another oil change and had a nightmare of an experience. I sat in the waiting room for over an hour, staring out the window into the garage, waiting for somebody to begin working on my car, even though I was on time for my scheduled appointment. Eventually they began working on it and another 30 minutes later, I was finally informed by the front desk that they had stripped my oil drain plug and would have to use a dremel to cut it out and replace it. Approximately 2 hours and 15 minutes after I brought my car in for my scheduled oil change, they finished the job and charged me the same amount as they would have charged for a typical 45 minute or so oil change. Within days, I was leaking substantial amounts of oil in every parking spot I parked in. After taking the car into a different shop a few days later, they discovered that the oil drain gasket was completely missing and that oil was leaking right past the drain plug. I lost about 2.5 quarts of brand new oil in about two weeks. I am now essentially paying for another oil change just weeks later. I will never return to this Pep Boys. They have lost my service after screwing up this very routine job in awe-striking fashion.

They moved me right through so I could meet my time needs with fantastic, friendly service. Their customer care manager was amazing! I am so grateful for their hard work and help.
Stay away from this place. No one really knows what there doing especially Robert the service manager. They can’t even perform a simple oil change. Worst place ever, don’t go here. They left my oil cap off and I was driving down the street smoke started billowing out of my hood .

I would give ZERO stars if I could.. the man in the service area is very rude, not only to customers but to the employees.I went in a few days ago to ask about a headlight installation for my car and all i wanted to know was the price. I was immediately shot down. He jumped at me telling me Well I cant do it, I dont have time. Youre going to have to come back a different day. So I took his advice and decided to go in on the 17th of October, when I went in he looked like he was having a nervous breakdown. There was about 7 people inside the counter area, and while dealing with a customer he burs-ted out yelling at the girl behind the counter. I feel completely appalled by his choice of tone to her. Instead of paying any attention to the people in front of the counter (a simple ill be right with you would have helped our patience) he lunged towards the young girl and told her youre ****en lazy. While there was plenty of people he couldve told the young lady that he needed to speak with her later on or something in that sense. When he got back into the area to where I was, I asked him about an oil change. To which the response I got was not what i was expecting. He was bad mouthing the whole situation. Ill have to set you up for a different day, Im dealing with all this s***.BAD MOUTHING, RUDE CUSTOMER SERVICE, LACK OF INFORMATION, WAITING TOO LONG FOR NOTHING.I have never had such a bad experience while being a pep boys customer.I will NOT be returning there, the management has gotten so horrible since the previous manager left.!!!
James, Javier, Mario, Jonathan, and Tommy did an amazing job on my vehicle. I had initially gone to a Pep Boys in Colorado and service was just terrible. I had gone to Santa Fe to visit my parents and needed to get some work done to my car before going back to Colorado. I decided to give Pep Boys a second chance and this by far has been the best customer experience I have experienced. These guys went above and beyond to help me out and re-establish my customer satisfaction with Pep Boys. They did everything possible to give me the best turnaround time and get me back on the road. Great people and service at this store.

Its an efficient operation, A few guys whove been there since when Tommy Lasorta was a player. Just what you would expect from them 20 yrs. ago and today. Consistantcy with low prices. Over all staff is good. But a few times their presentation was so dry I was looking for mummies. The property is very clean, by standards as are the bays and shop. Weak WiFi signal. Not a bad place to break down tho.
Aaron Ortiz at Pep Boys Store #707 at 2710 Cerrillos Road, Santa Fe, NM 87507 provided fast, efficient and knowledgeable service that may have saved me from being in a car wreck, or worse.Last week I stopped at Pep Boys about 7 PM on my way from Houston to Salt Lake City. I was having trouble seeing at night. Aaron Ortiz was at the service desk. I told Aaron that I wanted to replace the headlight bulbs on my 2001 Ford Taurus with better brighter bulbs. Aaron looked at his work schedule and then asked me to drive my car up to a service door.Aaron changed out the bulbs while I watched and asked him questions about his job and the work he was doing for me. It was obvious to me that Aaron was self-motivated and loved to learn new things. I was impressed with Aaron Ortiz and I think you will be, too, when you need help at Pep Boys.
Worst 2 experiences EVER. If Santa Fe had another Pepboys location I wouldnt dare come to this one. So lousy that I needed to drive over an hour just to get better assistance at the Pepboys in Albuquerque. Its a circus here. No one is professional including the management. All I needed was a headlight replaced and its like talking to a brick wall. Not to mention I was told that it would take 1 hour and a half to change out 1 headlight. Colton was very nice & deserves a kuddos for his customer service!

Buyer Beware! Please check the prices of parts versus what they have at their own store when getting a repair done. They over estimate what they need and more than double charge what they are selling their parts for (which they are already making a profit from). Just to keep in mind - if they are willing to do this how can you trust the repair needs to be done and will be done right?!

Dont waste your time. Pep Boys? More like Molasses Boys. We waited over three hours to be told they had no idea what the problem was or how to fix it. We already KNEW what was wrong! WHAT THEY FAILED TO DO WAS THEIR JOB. Experts? My ass. Customer service? Dont hold your breath. Our tire has had a slow leak and goes flat every few days. Also the other wheels squeak because the caps over the hubs need to be replaced. And we needed new wipers. We told them exactly what was wrong - what they needed to do was replace the tire and wipers and caps. They didnt do jack sh*% or even put it up on the lift until I told them Id been waiting over three hours, and no work was being done on the other few vehicles in the garage. (Later found out that some guy took a 3hr lunch break) We had an appointment and I told them I needed my car back ASAP and to just forget it. They didnt even take the wheel off. It took them 30 min of bro bantering, crude jokes in Spanish which I speak but they didnt think I understood, and slow waddling (the man must be at least 300lbs) before they Finally took my car down.Literally Any Place Else is better than Pep Boys.

There service department is horrible I waited an hour to get my tire rotated they said it would 45 minutes and I had to go so they didnt even complete the tire rotation! The device guy was super rude and I would not recommend bringing you CAR or truck there they a horrible mechanics!!!
How is this place still running? I walked in to have an oil change and the blonde girl told me it was gonna be a little bit of a wait and when I asked her how long the guy with white hair booted in and rudely told me “if you don’t have an appointment you need to schedule one”. First off completely rude! Second of all what’s the point in accepting walk ins if I was told to make an appointment. My mom has had the same rude service by this man. I didn’t believe her but seeing it with my own eyes I now believe.

Wrong! they tell you when to get there and end up wasting your day because the appointment doesnt mean anything! Terrible customer service. Scheduled 30 minute oil change online, told it would be over an hour when I arrived. Shop manager was very rude and acted like he was doing me a favor that I should be grateful for by offering to get me in whenever he found it convenient despite my having an appointment. Wont go back.
Horrible experience. Went here for a simple oil change then left. After about a couple days my check engine light came on. Turns out they not only forgot the bolt that closes my oil off so it all leaked out they also stripped where the bolt goes back COMPLETELY. But when I went back to figure out what was wrong they said they didn’t know and just put more oil in no charge. Then check oil went on a second time so I went back AGAIN. That’s finally when they realized they messed up. DONT GO HERE THEY CANT EVEN CHANGE OIL!!!

I would rate them a zero if I could! Last year I took my car in to get some work done and they had my car a total of 25 days and it came back broken worse then when it went in. I took it in for some new tires an oil change and a new power steering pump. Apparently they had some issues getting off the power steering pump and had to take it back twice. When I did finally get it back it came back with a transmission leak the power steering pump still doesnt work right and they also messed up one of my pullies! Nobody in management or corporate had anything to say about it. Do not take your car to Pep Boys in Santa Fe they are the most unprofessional people I have ever met. I have and will continue to tell everyone never to get their car serviced there.
Went in for an oil change and for them to check my air conditioner, they told me it me it’d take 2 hours. Five hours later they hadn’t even taken my car in. Told me that they only had one air conditioning guy and he was busy so they didn’t even change the oil.
Horrible customer service. I made an appointment the previous day in person. I went to my appointment and waited over an hour before I had to leave, but left the vehicle. The service rep said she would call me. I came back after 4 hours and still no one had looked at it or bothered to call me. I asked for my keys and left. I will never go back.
Good prices when compared to others, but the people who work here are the rudest Ive ever met. Its an auto part store so Im not expecting 5 star service, but a simple hello means a lot. No one greets anyone, no one tries to make a sale. It feels like were bothering the employees when in the store.

Walked in and went to the back to get a part and after waiting for 15 minutes nobody showed up so I walked out the door and went to AutoZone like I should have in the first place. This is not the first time this has happened at this location. One star for the inside service because it is terrible, however guys in the tire shop always help out when u need air so 👍 to you guys.
I should have never brought my truck here to get the A/C checked. They checked the A/C and stated it was some sort of fuse or fuse relay issue and got it working and didnt charge me but the next morning I woke up the truck would not start. The battery and starter were both ok and it appeared to be another electrical connection. However there official reason was that the coating on my battery posts was interfering with it starting. Kinda feel that that was a load of crap to make me pay for the tow bill. Returned today because I had already set up to get my fan clutch fixed. I got there to and they said my appointment was for Saturday at nine when I specifically said Monday at nine and was told I was put in for Monday at nine. I was told that it would be at least two hours before my truck even got into a bay. I just called back four hours later to check the status to be told that they could not find the part that had arrived at there store and they had to order and get one shipped from out of town. So in theory I might get my truck back in another few hours. Honestly the customer service at this location is crap. I will not be taking my vehicle back here ever again.

The manager is always talking about “well I don’t have anyone that could do that” isn’t it a full service auto shop? How are you gonna have a “full service” auto shop and not be able to do electrical? On the windows it clearly states “ASE certified mechanic” but yet they told me they don’t have anyone qualified! What a joke! Even to get wipers put on I was told “your gonna have to wait” how rude!!
This place is horrible. We have a fleet account here and when we take our vehicles in it takes them days to finish with a oil change! This only happens when the young kids are working The young girl who works in repairs has a bad attitude and doesnt care if customers are around will cuss and talk like a drunken sailor. why would this corperation hire young kids that dont know how to treat customers, also make one manager of the whole store at that!!!We end up taking our vehicles to the albq pep boys because they know how to do things right and get them done right.

Went in because the car was rattling. Spent FOUR HOURS (yes, you read that correctly) waiting only to be told they didnt have a clue what it was. Treated us like we were complete morons. When we told them that the car was rattling and shaking they kept saying oh really?? In an apathetic, rude, tone. Finally left after no success. Went to Firestone Tires (near Santa Fe Place Mall) and within TEN MINUTES they told us that 2 tires were loose (rattling) and so was the steering wheel (shaking).... AWFUL service here. Dont come here. Total waste of time.
Awful awful awful service and they (Robert) refuses to listen.Came in with a smoking problem and asked for an oil change for a 99 diesel. Somehow they put 5w30 which is meant for gas engine. Robert argued me down then started throwing his pens around when I refused to accept they mistake.I will be reporting this to their corporate office.And I verified the oil needed w 2 mechanics that I trust ...

I have never been treated so poorly and with so much disregard. The starter that was purchased, paid for and installed in my Escalade was suppose to be warranted for life. When my starter went bad 3 years later, I was told that even though I have the original starter with all their parts numbers, they would not honor it as the mechanic I had dealt with went out of business still owing them money. This part had been paid for at the time of delivery and they were fully compensated for their part 3 years ago. As the customer, who used their part and paid for it in full, should not be penalized for a mechanic going out of business. Bad business all the way around. With so many other choices, I personally will never give them my business again and I notice most mechanics are now going elsewhere also. Linda M. Santa Fe NM

Good service and nice people. Not too expensive and they do good work.
On Monday called to see if they could get me in for an oil change. I was told there would be a one hour wait. They suggested making an appointment for the next day .... so I was given a variety of times and I chose 1:30PM. I get there on time ... waiting patiently for the front office manager to finally acknowledge me. He says, it will be done in one hour. I protest saying, I have an appointment but he says well we have another car in front of you but since you have an appointment you are next. I go off and walk around the nbhd for an hour and come back. The car is in the same place as I left it. The manager tells me, maybe another hour?. So I get my keys, go down to JIFFYLUBE just down the street and the job is taken care of in 30 minutes ... fast, efficient, and professional.
Completely incompetent. I made an appointment the day before, arrived there, and they told me they did not have the appointment on the books. I told them I would come back in 30 mins if they could promise to have a bay open. I come back 30 minutes later, they take my keys and my car sits in the parking lot for another 20 minutes. I dont know about you but I cannot take an entire afternoon off work for an oil change. No apology, no offer to reschedule. Terrible service. A lot of garages in Santa Fe, this one might be cheap but you get what you pay for.
Highly unsatisfactory experience! Staff at reception were rude and generally inattentive. The estimated 1-hour delay in servicing my car turned out to be 3 hours - 2.5 of which my car was just sitting in the parking lot. There were too few service personnel in the garage and too many in the reception. Those in the reception occupied their time watching a car race on a computer monitor or some such device. Finally, no-one bothered to inform me of an online coupon for free battery installation, I found that out quite by accident.
I ordered a Dash Mate for my car. They had it for over a month. I ordered it and it came in a few days later. They never called me to let me know it was in. I would call and I could never get anyone on the phone. I finally had to go in myself in person to find out what was going on! Terrible experience!
They usually have the auto supplies Im looking for, and the employees are always friendly and helpful.
Great service, got my battery and was out the door in less than 5 minutes. Always loved shopping here.
Service has got to get better. Not enough workers. Two people run the whole store 7 days a week.
Although they have a great assortment of parts and services, they have often sold me parts that were compatible with my vehicle in their system but simply not the truth in real life.
Customer service was the worst. Lady at the counter in the garage was to busy packing it in to help us. Dont even think she knew she had wing sauce all over her face. She was disgusting
This business really went the extra mile for us. We drove in with a flat tire to be repaired. Unfortunately, since wed picked up a nail too close to the tires side wall, the tire could not be fixed. The Pep Boys store did not carry a matching tire but helped us find one at another local tire dealer. One of the managers from Pep Boys DROVE US TO THE STORE TO PICK UP A NEW TIRE, then drove us & the tire back to Pep Boys where the tire was mounted for us. This business really stepped up & went out of their way for us. Well be using them again for any auto parts or service needs in the future.
