What a great place! I just bought my first new car yesterday and I was pleasantly surprised at how informative, yet not pushy, the salesman I worked with was. It took several months to receive the car I ordered, but he kept me frequently updated the whole time with all the information I needed. I really couldn’t be happier with my first real “car buying experience”, and the car itself is just gorgeous!

I came in for a new key that they charged me $140 which is highway robbery. Then went to my car to program it. I did all the steps correctly and it wouldnt save the new key to the car. When I went in to have them program it for me they took nearly two hours to do it. Once done they couldnt tell me why it wouldnt program correctly at first. They then charged me $84 for programming when they promised it would be at max $60. The bill including a $10 fee for shop waste. There was no shop waste this was purely a software update. This dealer is a bunch of scam artists.

Really good dealer experience. Sean M. was really good at dealing with our peculiarities about car buying. We knew about what we wanted and were ready for the “fight”. He helped us feel comfortable and did not pull any tricks. Financing was pretty easy though a little pushy on things we decided we didn’t want. All in all great experience and will definitely go back even though there are two other dealers closer.

The team there lead by Sam Ramone did a great job of diagnosing the problems with the car and correcting them in a very timely manner. Sam stayed in touch with me the entire time and was a big help. This company is simply great and I would recommend them to anyone.

We were looking at a couple of the Subarus for our next vehicle (a replacement for our older Subaru ha!) and knowing how helpful the service department and Sam in particular has been in the past we looked at Santa Fe Subaru. We worked with Will to purchase a vehicle who was knowledgeable and patient (even while we took our toddler and car seat in and out to test it in the cars, a HUGE plus to be able to see how the car seat fits in the models we were interested in) and helped us find the exact trim and color we wanted (a true feat in this market). He was awesome and communicated with us thoroughly through the process.I’ll be honest I wasn’t considering buying from Santa Fe subaru initially, as their prices haven’t been as competitive in the past. However this was not the case this time. Not only were the prices extremely competitive, our experience with Will as our salesperson convinced us to purchase at Santa Fe. Recommend you give him and them a go, as our experiences have been nothing but positive. Thank you Santa Fe Subaru! We LOVE our new car :)

My experience here was absolutely wonderful. This was my first time trading in a car for a newer one and it was such a smooth, stress-free experience! Galen, Dominic, and Will were so incredibly helpful, kind, and supportive! I was sort of dreading the whole trade-in/buying process because of the reputation that dealerships typically get of being pushy, but I never once felt like I was being pushed into anything and they really helped me get the best deal! We had a service appointment and reserved a loaner car. We received a phone msg from the Subaru Service dept. confirming this appt. 2 days earlier. However, on ARRIVAL we were told to reschedule if we needed a loaner. Upset at this poor service, I hollered to the 4 service people joking around in the drive-up check-in area that the service dept. needed to get their act together. A large male employee turned and approached our car in a threatening manner, telling me not to yell at him; I retorted that he WAS an employee to whom I was expressing my displeasure. He started toward the vehicle again and said under his breath f... off; I retorted the same as I quickly drove off in fear of the employee becoming more violent. What kind of business allows employees to verbally abuse and threaten clients, especially elderly women? Not one that I will ever again have anything to do with.

I contacted Subaru online and got a fast answer from Will. The next day I drove over there and as Will was out he made sure someone was available and knew that I was coming. Chuck did a great Job with not being pushy on anything and gave me time to think it over. He was very considerate and asked for preferred pronounce. What a difference it makes to feel welcome instead of being treated poorly by other dealerships in town. That sealed the deal in the end. Thanks to Will and Chuck! UPDATE: Went to get my mirrors replaced yesterday. I was told it takes 3 hours, after over 5hours I tried to call to get an update and could not reach anyone. Finally I could pick it up. This morning I see spots of dirty fingers on my brand new car interior. Unbelievable and careless.

Sad to say that once we denied the work on a 30,000 mile check up that would have cost $490 and opted for the free oil change, tire rotation and recall warranty work, the two hours needed to complete the reduced maintenance suddenly took seven. With a two and a half hour drive each way, made for a long day, but in the drive back, we had plenty of time to think about never going there again. Think twice about purchasing your car there like we did. They were very polite in their incompetence.

I was traveling and visiting Santa Fe from out of state. I had my car checked out with my local mechanic prior to going on this trip and the car was very healthy. I had taken my vehicle in for a standard service/oil change and they said the car was in great shape, just needed the fluids topped off. Several days later while I was driving from Tucson to Phoenix, all the dashboard lights lit up, the car seized and began smoking. After I had it towed to Subaru of Tucson, they said there was no oil in the car. The car had always been healthy and was just serviced and signed-off on at Subaru of Santa Fe. If you get your car serviced there, definitely make sure theyve put oil back in your vehicle before leaving. Im quite certain they never put oil back in my car and the estimate for repair is $9000.00. My car is now worth nothing and I had to donate it.

Above and beyond my expectations!!Jim M, the used car manager, and Mike M, the service manager went above and beyond to rectify my issue. I had recently purchased a certified pre-owned Subaru Forester that developed a minor issue which was to be covered under warranty. They arranged to pick up my vehicle (4 hours away) and provide a top of the line loaner for me to use for the duration of the repair. They repeated the swap out/delivery process when the repairs were complete. I received phone calls regularly keeping me up to date with the repair status. Not once did I have to contact them... Top notch service; uncommon these days IMO... Highly recommend Subaru of Santa Fe. Great service after the sale with a professional, yet personal approach. We plan to be repeat customers. This place is sketchy and dishonest. I saw an ad online for a car I was interested in and called to make sure they still had it. I told the salesman that I would be coming in from Albuquerque. He called me back a few minutes later (6:15pm) and said they had it and when you drive it, Im sure youre gonna like it. I made an appointment for 11am the next day to see it.After driving for an hour to get there, the salesman (Frankie) said, Bad news, I sold the car last night!They close at 7pm. I asked, You mean you sold it in the 45 mins between when you told me you had it and closing? Why didnt you call me this morning and tell me?Then he shifted to *we* sold it last night, and he personally didnt know about it until right before I got there.The whole thing was obviously a lie just to get me in the door to sell me something else with no consideration for my time. So I kept an eye on the ad and noticed that they didnt take it down for several days. I had my husband call and pretend to be a different customer interested in the car.He spoke to a different salesman who told him that they did currently have that car but it didnt pass some inspection and they werent going to sell it.This all happened about a month ago but I wanted to get it down in google reviews to protect other customers. Dishonest sales tactics are really uncool. We ended up buying from Car Pros in Albuquerque and they treated us much better.

Buying a car at any price point when you’re self-employed is no easy task. There were definitely some hiccups throughout the process, but we finally left the dealership with the most beautiful used Outback. Two weeks ago I purchased an Outback from Santa Fe Subaru. It was a very positive experience. I was not pressured at all. Everyone was professional and very nice. When I arrived, I was greeted and the vehicle I was interested in buying was ready out front for me to test drive. Will Prokopiak, my Sales Consultant, suggested another vehicle after talking to me and answering my questions. There was a different Outback that had more features than the one I was originally interested in that had been reduced in price since it had been on the lot for awhile. After test driving that Outback, I decided to purchase it. In addition, I was given a fair trade-in value for my older Outback. Their offer was significantly higher than the offer I received by another dealer through Kelly Blue Books Instant Cash Offer program. In addition, Dave Robey, the business manager walked me through the financing process. He explained all my options and everything else to me in detail. Galen and Will are great! I knew what vehicle I wanted when I was trading in my Crosstrek and also the trade in value I wanted on my Crosstrek. The process was smooth and casual, not high-stress in my opinion. I was disappointed my interest rate wasnt 0% as advertised, but the difference was minimal and this was not the fault of Galen or Will. You DO NOT need to add your husband to a loan just because you are married. When asked if my name will be primary, and the answer is yes, that is the expectation. If I am paying with MY own money and this is going MY vehicle, and I have made that clear, why on earth would his name be first on all of the documentation. Why, when I call to obtain information about my loan, do I not have authorization on the account? This is exactly what happened to a friend of mine. The finance team here is obviously a bunch of schemy, sexist, crooks!

I searched all over for my dream car, 2015 AWD Genesis, Empire State Gray with the Tech Package, 36k miles, and found only 3 that exactly matched what I wanted, one in RI, one in AZ, and the last one at this Subaru dealership in NM. I live in CO and was prepared to fly if I had to, in the end after negotiating terms I rented a Hertz and drove the 5 hours to NM.Luckily for me, when I initially called this Subaru dealership in NM, I was greeted by Chris, who would eventually end up being my salesman only a week later and even helped me return the Hertz after the sale... At my request, when I first called he sent me more detailed pictures of the vehicle than the ones on the website and was so detailed he even mentioned a small credit card size scratch, that kind of honesty is hard to find.I was prepared and had procured my own financing through a credit union a week prior, yet Chris was kind enough to introduce me to the finance manager, Paul, (mind you this is all over the phone since I was a out of state buyer) and with the FICO I mentioned he was positive he could get me a better rate...Paul was always there for my questions, so we went ahead and sure enough he was able to get me over a whole 1.5% lower than the rate I got from the credit union... literally saving me thousands...I ended up driving off the lot and driving back to CO in my new Genesis with the biggest smile of my life, at the lowest rate with the longest term with CO taxes & registration already taken care of (No need for me to go to CO DMV, Wow!!) and, honestly Chris and Paul have helped better my life..I was driving a 12 year old vehicle without a iota of the safety and tech features this one has, with a top notch warranty and a amazing rate at my best terms, I will never forget this experience. Subaru of Santa Fe was there for me today on a snowy, slushy day when I really needed my car checked promptly for an issue with the backup camera. An ice buildup caused the short-term issue, and since I was almost due for an oil change, they were able to squeeze me in for service. We were traveling through Santa Fe from Colorado Springs, on our way to AZ, when we had a mechanical problem. It was me, my bf, and 3 dogs... and there was no way the tow truck driver would be able to transport us all to Subaru with the car. These folks went out of their way to send someone to pick us all up from the side of a highway, even though their shuttle service was out due to Covid. Everyone we interacted with was warm and welcoming! They let us hang out in the Service waiting room, dogs and all. And they were kind enough to get our car fixed asap, when Im sure they had other customers vehicles in their bays. I cannot say enough good things about everyone here. If this is the service they provide someone who will likely never be a return customer, I cant imagine how theyd treat a customer in their own community!

Our experience with Santa Fe Subaru in purchasing a new Subaru has got to be the best ever (and weve bought several cars over the years) !! Jason Bass and his team are running a business that really cares about the customers needs, and they listen well. If Santa Fe Subaru were a financial advisory firm, we would attest that they are a fiduciary (put the interest of the customer first). Notable shout-outs for professionalism and courtesy to Doug (sales manager), Travis (sales) and Paul (finance). Overall, just a great, professional team!! Even staff that we did not work with directly were very friendly. We definitely recommend and we will definitely be a returning customer when the time comes. THANKS !!

I purchased my Subaru from the dealership here and then had the service department do routine work on my car for five years. I was a loyal customer. After a $3,000 head gasket job I got my car back and realized the back seat was soaked with engine oil. I touched the seat and the oil came off onto my hands. I called the service department and they were apologetic offering to clean the upholstery. They tried to remove the stain with no success because let’s face it engine oil does not come out of a seat.I received a second opinion by the advice of the manager. The second opinion advised I needed new upholstery- that there was no way to successfully remove the stain. At this point the manager of Subaru insisted I had intentionally ruined the upholstery with coffee just to have Subaru give me new upholstery. I was appalled. After threatening small claims court, the same manager insisted on cleaning the seat again- and the stain remained.I gave up at this point and settled for a stained back seat. It still looks really bad.This company will not stand behind their work or their mistakes.There are some genuinely good employees working in the service department but the upper management fails in accountability and customer service completely.Save yourself the trouble and avoid the Subaru service department.

After some excellent service by the sales staff, we were taken to the “finance guy”. When I declined the warranty upgrade, at a 20% premium to the cost of the car, he was borderline rude. He informed me that 99.2% of all customers would recognize the value of his offer, implying that I am not at smart as even 1%. 2 stars for sales. ZERO stars for the sales support team. I will not purchase or recommend purchase from this dealership.
