The selection is stunning but when my sisters and I entered, a gentleman working the gallery audibly said to a coworker that they should start charging for people to enter the space. I had suggested to my family that we come, due to the beautiful collection. It was incredibly disappointing. Beautiful to go to see a wonderful selection of Charles Loloma bracelets and museum quality rugs, but none of the group I arrived with could shake the experience of that.Someone offered to put a box of pieces I had purchased at a different shop, in the office to keep safe while my family browsed, but the same individual who made the comment earlier intervened and placed it awkwardly on a bench next to where I had been standing, in the front gallery entrance and constantly reminded me that it was there. The rest of the people managing the space were helpful and present, and the woman helping my mother with her purchase was very friendly. I think it’s just a subjective experience, so if you’re queer or brown or young, you might have a weird time depending on who’s there.
I purchased a beautiful squash blossom for my daughter here several years ago. I also had a friend find me a gorgeous turquoise ring here last year, and in fact I’m wearing it right now! I always know that I can trust that the quality and workmanship will be perfect at Shiprock!
Unfortunately I’ve never had the pleasure of shopping in person, but have purchased a number of piece via online and email. The selection is amazing and Paul is always so kind and helpful (generally I have a million questions ☺️)! I highly recommend this store!
I came in here today and was met with horrible, pretentious service. the gentleman working there promptly sized me up and down and then walked away. unfortunate.edit: thank you for your response. i dont see how i would feel more safe if i came into your gallery again. you didnt explain how youll keep this from happening to another person.
The very knowledgeable sales staff contribute to a great buying experience. The vintage to antique items sold here are not only a joy to see but they can actually be purchased unlike the museum.Thank you for all the hospitality everytime I enter your business.
Very high quality store. The selection is smaller than the more touristy plans but what they have is great. Its nice to see a bolo route for sale that weights under 5 lbs.
Excellent, friendly staff, very knowledgeable across many disciplines. Incredible items, jewelry, fine art, rugs and pottery. I send everyone who is a serious collector to them. I buy silverwork from them and regularly rely on their expertise and their eye for gift buying, too. A class operation start to finish (they ship with care, too).
Shop is located upstairs right off the plaza!! Superb collection of classic jewelry, rugs pottery dating back to 1900!! Prices are fair for the quality if you are shopping for vintage items, the best in Santa Fe!!!
Cool space and merchandising. Sales staff are knowledgeable and amiable but prices are on the higher side...probably to cover the rent for the prime location on the plaza.
Gorgeous. Incredible space. The rugroom is like heaven!
Great selection of quality Native art.
No more knowledgeable staff in Santa Fe, and thats saying a lot. From pueblo jewelry and antique pottery to Nakashima chairs, their range is impressive, to say the least. Museum-quality objets dart for sale!
Premiere place to purchase original and antique collectible native art.
Great place, lots of collections and good service
Lovely selection!
