Though our job was only a dented bumper, Santa Cruz All Star took the time to do a magnificent job, removing the main dent so expertly that you couldnt tell it had ever been there. Then they went on, at their own suggestion, and without extra charge, to buff out some thick paint smears on the other end of the bumper. The price for the work done was very reasonable, and the boss, Sergio, explained everything in detail, in a most friendly way. I will never take our car anywhere else!

Sergio is the man. I came in with some fender damage on my car. It was Monday and I needed the car back by Friday. I told him this and he got the job done. Not only was he quick but the car looks amazing and you cant tell it had the work done. I would recommend him to anyone who needs this type of work done on their car.

I have been to 3 mechanic s 2 in S Cruz and 1 in S. Jose. The only thing they had in common is the price. Reasonable @ $350.00. if they had fixed my car so I could finally pass smog. The car was given to me because I was struggling. The check engine light was on all g with the oil needs changing. Sergio was the only honest mechanic that I have come accross since VW Scotty who sadly passed away some what 20 years ago. I can fix a VW. But just try to buy one! As far as l could tell I paid for oil change after oil change, its amazing how every mechanic I choose assumes just because Im not a man l have zero experience with mechanics of cars. Quite the opposite. Unfortunately the police wont take the time to wire me so we could bust them. Theyre everywhere! So I had to take the time to say here and I will be posting on Facebook and many other sights, something I never do!. This business is GREAT if you want goog old fashioned honesty and value for your money. You walk away knowing exactly what was wrong with your car and what he did to correct it. He doesnt surprise you with hidden costs, nor dose he insult your intelligence and then add insult to injury by over charging or price gouging s. Hes honest and provides a honest days work for your hard earned money. He has even told me not to waste my money investing on my other car. What would have been money in his pocket.. who does that? Sergio is very knowledgeable and patient with his work. His concern is for your safety and it shows in his explanations of what is wrong with your car, how you can fix it, and an estimated timeline of how long things will take to get worse if youre not looking to fix it at the time.I brought my car in to check brakes on one occasion and was treated very well while I was there. My brakes were practically nonexistent when I brought it in and he was very fast with checking the brakes, then ordering the brakes, and the estimate was extremely reasonable. I brought my car in a second time for electrical problems where he then showed me exactly what was causing my electrical issues (alternator and bulb).Sergio does not cut corners with his work, makes sure everything is working before you leave, and leaves you with more knowledge about your car per the problem. As a person who knew next to nothing about cars and asked endless questions, I was very grateful for Sergios explanations and patience with me. I brought in my wife’s 2015 Honda Accord which had multiple scratches near the gas cap. Sergio buffed out all the scratches quickly and efficiently. Now the car looks like new again. I highly recommend this place.

I asked if it was urgent and he gave me an honest answer explaining that it was safe to keep driving “x” miles before coming back. And that, is why I am going back this week. He was looking out for my best interest and not telling me I needed something done right away just to make money the next day. I already sent a friend there and will continue coming back.
