Simply outstanding. #1. I drive 40 mins from Simi Valley just to go to this tackle shop, bypassing a handful of others on the way. Harry, James, Ryan, Logan and the rest of the crew are all aces. I work in customer service and I wish I could find more employees like them in my industry. The expert advice, combined with the love for what they do makes you want to just dump out your wallet on their counter.They are fully stocked with almost everything you could need. They even had JDM megabass and reins trout lures I wanted before I went to the sierras for a trout trip. Two weeks later: hey guys, I need a jig stick for the salt and they had me set up in 20 mins. Even after just a couple of times I came by, they remembered my name!The world needs more shops like this.

Ive been buying from Chad since he had his original location near Sierra Highway. He and his staff are knowledgeable and very helpful. There isnt a species in CA waters that one of them hasnt fished for and can provide info upon. The tackle selection is well rounded with a nice balance of bass gear, saltwater gear and trout gear focused on the Sierras and local put & take lakes. If they dont have it, Chad will more than likely order it for you. Best shop in north LA.county by far, and definitely in the top 5 for all of the LA metro area

Tackle Express is a small hometown tackle shop that is much better & more personal than the larger super centers. Theyve got what you need to help you catch the species youre targeting. If they aint got it on the shelf, ask if they can order it.They welcome you in & say goodbye when you leave. Glad they are still around. Ive walked into a couple of other shops in Chatsworth and Van Nuys and they never treat new customers like the welcoming you get from these guys. They will help you. From local Bass fishing to overnight deep sea trips...they got you!

I am just getting into the sport of Deep Sea Fishing. I went in with a friend of mine that has been going there for a while. I dont know a lot about the different brands, what lures work best for different fish, or what tackle I need for fishing trips. They were VERY helpful and didnt brush me off, just because I was a newbie. They helped explain different brands to me, and let me know what stuff I would need when I am just starting out. I ended up buying some stuff from him, because I felt conformable that he knew what he was talking about, and wasnt just trying to see me stuff to make a sale.

What a great place! They literally have everything you need, and offer line service for those of you needing a fresh spool. My wife and I needed to stock up on a few things for our fishing trip to the Eastern Sierras, and found everything we needed at Tackle Express. Its great to see a small business tackle shop still exist! Chad the owner was great, and extremely informative. We literally drove 45 minutes to support a small business as we are small business owners as well. Theyre even open on Sundays. Thank you again for everything! We will be back.

A friend told me to stop by and check out Tackle Express and let me tell you, Ive been killing it at the lakes. The store is not huge because he only carries what really works. Chad is a very nice guy and will take the time to show you how to rig things for all us rookies out there. I thought I would end up paying a lot more there but his prices are great.

Get 99% of my tackle needs from tackle express. Carry great tackle selection for bass fishing and there has been many instances where a specific lure Im looking for is sold out online but tackle express comes through!! Not to mention great customer service!!
