Very small vons with very little selections on most foods. Good for a quick stop for easy groceries and meals but maybe not for diverse food needs.
During Covid this store came up with an incredibly logical system for lines. It is a tight compact space which they have utilized to great advantage. However by doing away with the single line setup the store is much more challenging to navigate.
Shelfs empty! No product that was on my list( cuz they were out), They are haven issues with refrigeration being down.Especially anything with the Just 4 You status :( but still like going there to say..But managers are trying to keep up :) 😃 smile...
A well stocked grocery store. Aisles can be a bit narrow for 2 people to pass, but most shoppers cooperate in making room. Nice produce selection, liquor, floral and meat department. Parking lot can be crowded during busier hours.Small area for checkout, so will need to wait in line for available checker(s). No self check area. Will definitely return for grocery shopping needs.
Was pleasantly surprised. The man who assisted me in the checkout line had a sense of humor and made the waiting in line no problem.
This is a small Vons. They dont have everything, but have the basics. I will say, I have been searching for Grape nuts flakes cereal, for years. I honestly thought they stopped making it. They carry it here! Very surprising. I think if you live in the area and shop at this store, you might want to ask the buyer to start carrying whatever item you want.
This morning, my mother and I went to this grocery store to buy everything that we want at the house. The staff was very good and kind to us. Besides, the entire store was a very good place to walk in and out, for it was big and clean. At the end of the day, we greatly enjoyed buying groceries in your store. Thanks a lot. We will be back soon!
This store was pretty good before the pandemic but now it’s impossible to find a employee to help you because they’re all at the two checkout stands trying to deal with the checkout line that wraps around the store. I’m sure it has something to do with social distancing at checkout but it’s just not worth going here right now.
Really nice Vones!
Smaller than im used to, but still very convenient.
Dont recommend their Deli. Called in to double check they were open and making sandwiches and the Deli department confirmed. But once I arrived, they said they werent making sandwiches because they cleaned their meat cutters....
Not good my personal health information was exposed ..the customer service people talked about my mother
They got rid of my faorite store sad
Aways know I can find what Im looking for here.
Great variety, friendly service, nice location. Good place for tasty soups & salads! 🥣! Good selection of moderately priced food and an excellent deli.
Small store. Hot foods Togo closes to early at this location.
Clean store good quality and prices. Long lines not enough cashiers.
Nice place for shopping
Bob, the bold guy that work there, is the most interesting of the bunch. Ask him for help, he is great.
The only experience worse was TSA at LAX. Rude cashier, yelling at me about my cart I left aside saftly to get to the deli, without blocking other shoppers. This is not the first time this type of terrible non-customer service has happened to me at this location. I WILL NOT GO BACK. I live on the Mesa Id rather drive in traffic and go elsewhere rather than support my neighborhood Vons SAD!
Crab claws were BAD, as in smelled horrible and likely food poison. We called manager to warn them. NEVER buying seafood from there, EVER. Lucky they did not KILL someone.
Small and accommodating...
Good place for tasty soups & salads! 🥣! Good selection of moderately priced food and an excellent deli.
Clean and not too busy.
As long as you have a club rewards card you will get decent prices. The produce is really fresh here.
Great place great prices
Small selection, no self checkout, and lines wrapped around the building, even during a pandemic.
Meh
Good prices. clean store.
This is a small clean well run store with fair prices. Parking is tight though. Leave the dually at home!
A great local store that has everything. Very good customer service
Smaller store somewhat limited selection and occasional long lines
From fresh produce to fresh meat. Everything is clean. Great chain of stores
My favorite grocery store in SB. From farm fresh fruits and vegetables, to oven baked bread, pastries and donuts, theres even an abundance of plants and flowers, not to mention an amazing selection of local wines and craft beers. Its truly a one-stop-shop.
Smallest Vons Ive ever been to but well stocked and well organized social distancing
Small too many people deff not social distancing.
This place has the worst customer service Ive ever experienced in my entire life at a grocery store. They dont greet you, they dont tell you goodbye. Ill tell them to their face I dont need a bag and then theyll ask me if I want a bag. Ill tell them to their face I dont need a receipt and then they will try to hand me a receipt. Absolutely bizarre. Whats worse is, Ive received the same from the supervisors that work here
Nice neighborhood market type feel even though its a large chain.
Way overpriced. No one around to help. Only 2 registers opened with more than 6 customers in each line. Didnt even have any express line. I will not be going back. It was in the shopping center next to the house Im staying in for the summer, so it was convenient. Next time Ill just drive to a better store.
Never go wrong with these guys.A little complacency from the customer service area, but besides that, its great
Great place to grab needed things in a hurry.
The checker on the right hand side as you face the check stand. 11-24-20 @3:30Is rude disrespectful itch with a B. If I wasnt in a hurry I would have called the manager and hit her with my leg of lamb. She should be fired.
Good Vons, not too crowded, but could be cleaner.
Customer service was horrible! Cashier was rude. Tried to make light conversation with him and he just ignored me. Not happy that he just tossed my items to the other side once he scanned them in. Rude! I wont go back!
Great supplies & customer service
Great deals friendly staff.
Have what you need
The store has always been way too small. Bottom line. Go to Ralph’s.
On the Mesa, good hours, and chill staff.
Very convenient location on The Mesa and a far less expensive alternative to nearby Lazy Acres. Updated look with nice deli/seafood departments. Always good deals on many items (especially if you have a Vons card and use the Just4 U coupons.
We all love having the Vons on the Mesa. It may be the second smallest store in the chain after the Catalina store, but they pack a lot into it, the employees are friendly, and its convenient. Were thankful its there.
We wont go back. Cashier had hideous attitude.we were overcharged 11.00 dollars on 2 steaks from meat dept and when we explained price was wrong he glared at us. Rather than argue with him we left them. He had bad attitude from time we walked up to counter. We really felt we should have just left all the groceries but didnt. We just wont return
Small store with a lot of customers so it can be crowded at times. The staff is very friendly and helpful. They keep it clean and well stocked.
I give no stars because I got sick I ate the chicken that they cook and then they put it in the cold with the sandwich meats and other things to sell the I even asked about three of the people that work there or is this stuff safe to eat only one said yes for sure the other two wouldnt answer me
Pretty good selections. Very nice checker and bagger!
Good place
Terrible. While the workers there are decent enough, thats the most I can say. The food is disgusting, from diseased avocados that tasted nasty, day-expired sushi that smelled fishy from outside the plastic cases, to cases of moldy strawberries- MULTIPLE CASES, that had been out for people to buy that even after I told the manager he did nothing about it. Theyre constantly out of basic things like lemons or butter, the shelves are consistently being restocked yet theyre always out of stock. I once asked a worker where the corn starch was and she legitimately asked me with a confused face whats corn starch? Cut to another time I and my Mother-in law went to there asking for chicken stock. Again, total confusion and simply said try finding the chicken broth (not the same). The staff seems to have some serious attitude, the produce there is disgusting, and they are almost ALWAYS out of stock
No line, and mask is required. Vegetables and bread a little deficient.
Nice store. They need to keep up stocking the shelves a bit better. Especially on weekends
If you can get pass the ice-cold fridged temps inside, youll find most of what you need.It lacks a lot of sundries though, that youll have to go down the way to RiteAid.The lanes are super narrow, be prepared to walk sideways at times with traffic. They do have alcohol and organic produce at a much better price than Lazy Acres across the street.
Solid super market with fair prices
Good sales on healthier foods and fruits. The customer service is excellent. The store is always clean.
Best place to shop grocery..
Too crowded
The store has fresh fruits and veggies, and the shelve s are fully stoked and clean of dust...employees were all friendly and happy to help!
A much needed store to serve this area.
Absolutely miserable experience current store manager is a absolutely worthless waste of a perfectly fine name tag some of the staff are ok but most are worthless. Inadequate staffing consistently, terrible deli, general uncleanliness of the store and may I repeat terrible not only customer service/ relations but rude
Thanks for being open during these challenging pandemic times
Its a really small store, and they dont have a lot of the things the big stores have. The employees are friendly, and helpful.
Great and very helpful service!
Ok
Vons has blueberries and blackberries for .88 cents. Limitc4 each. Ine dozen large eggs. 77 cents limit two. There are many other deals. Check out Friday special savings on many items.
The lines are always soooo long, its ridiculous. I typically spend more time standing in line here than I do actually shopping. The sandwich makers are painfully slow, and you cant pay at the counter, so you have to take your sandwich and wait in the line with everyone else
This isn’t a real Vons....it’s a third of a Vons. The only reason it’s operating is because the Mesa hasn’t got many grocery store choices going on. Overpriced and under stocked. At these prices, go across the street to Lazy Acres.
Good parking; courteous checkers!
Great deals, friendly/polite staff, aisles were all well maintained so it made it easy to browse about and locate what I needed.
Like every other store at theese corona virus times, its ruff, to the tune of, you can barely get me to go.....I survived, Ill put it that way, but it will be awhile before any store sees me again
Some kind of racism by cashers. California is an estate with a variety of people should be better for everybody be nicer with others.
Decent items
Smaller than some markets, but good selection and sales.
Small selection, good neighborhood store, sometimes the meat counter is open and nobodys available to help you, ringing the bell didnt help.
Great store and staff. Colorful homeless in the parking lot
This Vons is far from my favorite Vons. The problem is its just a small space so it feels super cramped and it has a bad selection. Its the closest grocery store to my house but I generally try not to go here unless I need something I forgot somewhere else.
Been here about 50 times now and the employees are rude every time, management doesnt seem to care. Decent prices on beer though, with your card of course.
Good place for tasty soups & salads! 🥣! 🥗!..... reasonable prices 😊!!
The management doesnt care about their help. They told me today they have to work Xmas Eve till 11pm and all day Xmas day. They havent fixed the front doors and letting all the smoke into the checkouts for the clerks to breathe in
I work here and it is very nice lots of tourist to good stuff
Convenient location, but a smaller store that can be quite busy
Talked to two guys behind the deli counter and tried to get some help with the sushi section and they said they couldn’t help me. All I needed was a packet of soy sauce. It’s not that hard. They were rude and literally no help at all.. this location is nothing like the other Vons. So run down and no friendly employees
Welcome back to the neighborhood. Dont try and be a Whole Foods
Ultra convenient for everyone who lives or visits the Mesa, excellent selection and prices
Didnt have my chopped up melons though
Really nice place
Found what I needed at an acceptable price fast check out
Great deals on different things every day!
Selection is good, its cheaper than anything in the Mesa if you want produce go next door to mesa produce . Ralphs down the hill is cheaper if you are looking for deals. Lazy acres has good meat deals occasionally but everything else is usually oberpriced
Its a grocery store...
