The baked products are wonderful, especially the pumpkin and muffins. Its incredibly hearty and safe, with carrots and almonds and all! This, in my view, is the greatest coffee shop in town. The coffee is delicious and quite addictive. Smoothies and tea are equally delicious and well-prepared. The strawberry tea is worth a try because its wonderful!
Delicious food! Tried the mandioca frita and Eggs Benedict with Pão de queijo this time-Wow! Packed with flavor! A definite must stop when we visit the SB area! The Brazilian in our group said it was by far his favorite mandioca frita stateside. Our son said it was the best Eggs Benedict he’s had! I agree with both!
If youre a fan of South American paintings, give this place a miss. You wont see much here. Its mostly a restaurant but the food is pretty good.
Being Brazilian, I came wanting to have food that would remind me of home. However, the food wasn’t authentic. It has the concept of Brazilian food, but not the flavor (spices). We were disappointed. We had a PF, Beef sandwich, passionfruit, and orange juice.I’d come back only for the OJ.
I like this place. I ordered a chai tea latte, which was tasty and in an adorable mug. The cashier was friendly and he even brought my dog some water while we sat outside! That is really appreciated. I was also given some water while I sat and worked. The atmosphere and music are relaxing and comfortable as well. I’ll definitely be back to try some food!
We stopped in because of the breakfast menu displayed outside, only to be told breakfast ends at noon. We were there at 12:05pm. We stayed anyway because we were on a schedule. Service was bad, had to request everything for the table including utensils. The food however was delicious! Not true Brazilian food but tasty and healthy choices.
Amazing food, great service. Danielle is so nice. Steak with rice, beans and sweet plantains is a must.
Marvelous Brazilian feijoada and shrimp stroganoff dishes! Shrimp stroganoff takes me to the Moon! Staff was friendly and helpful.
Good food, nice ambient, amazing city! Staff was super nice!
Their Matcha cafe was good and baristas were nice. The place is also really cute!
They have good options for breakfast and brunch
This place is one of my favorites! Affordable rates, large portions and the employees are regularly nice.
They are open now. Good Brazilian food
Very disappointed. The service was terrible and they forgot to give my guaraná. Usually is a good experience but yesterday was a mess.
I am a driver for Uber eat. When I walked in the 2 lady’s working in the back said to wait for the girl in the bathroom. As she came out her hands were not washed and to top it off she had tissue in her hand and her noes was super red she had sniffles. After that she did not wash her hands but instead she decided to touch all the spoons and forks. To put them away and she handed me my Uber eats meal. All without washing hands
Great food. Highly recommend if at State St on Santa Barbara
Food was really great. But had to wait for a 1min longer then what you expect.. thanks 👍👍
Very good food! Try their feijoada!
Really enjoyed the beef stroganoff with rice and pao de queijo...all gluten free! Will be back to try other stuff and more pao de queijo :)
Very nice place food are delicious service excellent
Very good food, I recomended.
Tastey food with good sized portions, nice environment with a chill vibe . staff is friendly and give great service . quality all around . my favorite place to eat in santa Barbara
Brazilian food at this location - excellent. great place to relax, people watch, eat good food or all the above. the staff was very welcoming and sociable. this place has a good feel to it. i can see why they have so many reviews.
Ordered 80$ worth of food - the orange juice was great.
Worst customer service, food is ok, but expensive.
The juices are phenomenal! Great service, but plan for a slightly longer lunch if you want to sit and enjoy the weekday special.
Probably the best food I have tasted in Santa Barbara for now, they serve authentic high quality Brazilian food (also for my Brazilian friends). All the ingredients taste fresh and very good.Everyone working there is very nice. They have a room in the back where lot of very interesting classes on Brazilian arts are taken, as Brazilian percussion classes, and others.
The steak was really good. I asked for medium rare and it came out medium rare while being cooked on the hot plate! Decoration is cute and the staff is friendly. Must come back! 😋😋
The restaurant is first-rate and spacious, the meals was yummy and the prices were very fair. quickly, efficient service and very welcoming waiters. Highly recommended.
Great menu. Slow service 20 minutes for a breakfast order and there were only 3 other tables occupied, with one couple arriving after us. Food was good, but nothing fancy meriting the time. How hard is it to put fruit in an acai bowl?
Always a really good time!Suggestion-A number of times they close a few minutes to 15 minutes *BEFORE posted* closing time, so be sure to get there early! It’s really good food👍🏼
I am not a foodie, but the food here turns me into one. Incredible flavors!
Terrible coffee, if you are looking for an authentic Brazilian spot this one definitely is not the one.
Very fresh and reasonably priced. Nice location on state street near the Arlington theater. I enjoyed the X Burger for 12.95. Will be back soon for another delightful meal.
Amazing food, great people. This place is a gem. It is a family owned business with a wonderful menu for lunch or dinner
Always great. Its my lunch spot of choice during the week for once or twice a week. You cant go wrong with a BAC combo and the Salad is excellent. Their rice is also top notch. Often I add a fresh Orange/Carrot drink. The body loves that. Highly recommended.
Yum! Yum! Yum!Acai bowls & oatmeal are my fav!
We ordered just appetizers and they were good. Nice ambience as well. The waitress was friendly and much helpful
Only Brazilian restaurant in SB, however the food is fantastic. Cozy and informal atmosphere, where you can get get drinks and smoothies at the front bar or outside, and enjoy a great meal on the inside. Check out the feijoada on the weekends.
This place is amazing! Id recommend it to anyone! I have a very picky daughter and she loves the food here so its a win win (:
Vast options for health exist here - smoothies, juices, bullet proof coffee, and tons of hot options! I think they have the best breakfast burrito in town Suggest ordering at the counter is the best bet for the fastest service.
Food was delicious! I ordered chicken and it came with black beans and rice with a small salad. Chicken was very juicy. The appetizer was good as well. Bread with cheese.
Such a kind staff, absolutely delicious food, and amazing little club for the community! I really enjoy their passion for the arts, especially the music scene
Stellar! The variety, quality, and service here are amazing.I chanced upon this spot a week ago while walking by, and the juice was so delicious (and unique) that I purchased a second and a couple snacks to take home. A couple nights ago I returned with my significant other for dinner. We arrived at a great time, and decided to join in the open dancing for a bit before sitting down for dinner. The food was spectacular, we were very well taken care of. I look forward to returning soon!
First time I went I wasnt so impressed with my order...not bad just meh. Years go by and I see it is still open so i got a few things and was blown away at how good it all was. Cheese bread, fresh juices, deserts, smoothies are all must try. Fish in the coconut sauce was so tasty.
Fantastic breakfast burrito. Juices are amazing, service is friendly and great. Super cool place.
Ive always loved Brazil arts cafe... fejoida on the weekends is amazing, their food is fantastic, and the owners really care.
Ive never had any problems with them accommodating my vegan diet. I always find something delicious to eat. The bowls and smoothies are delicious, but I will always go back to my roots and eat some yucca and rice/beans! They have a happy hour that is pretty good.
This place has great açaí bowls as well as many other great breakfast foods like breakfast burritos, for example. They also have coffee. They are also open for dinner, but I’ve never gone there late.
Exceptional service and food. Joao was the best! All the staff are friendly, fun, and helpful. Try everything, its all good! The juices are unique and flavorful .The food is delicious and different .5 stars!
The food was great, the service not so much. Our server Fabiano wasent the nicest guy and it took forever to get service than forever to get the bill and when it finally came there was a 18%service fee for a bad service that I wasnt pleased with.
Didnt eat here, so I cant judge the food. Went to a comedy show in the back and it was ok. Just such an odd venue for this, hard to explain. It it like an event room that you would have a banquet in, but cleared out with rows of chairs for comedy.
This place is amazing! Great flavor coffee, delicious food and great service! Our go to brunch place when visiting Santa Barbara.
Great egg breakfast and BAC salad!!! Recommend!
I was walking down the street and saw two people took out coffee from this shop. It seemed like an good coffee shop, so I went it. when I asked for the coffee, a guy with strange attitude approached to me and said they dont serve juice or coffee after 5pm. I was confused because literally i just saw people took out their coffee. And after I read few reviews of this place, it got my attention that most of bad reviews are written by asian names. Is this really just a coincidence?
I wasnt impressed with the beef sandwich I got. On my trips to Brazil, the meats were amazing...especially Picanha.Im sure some people love the dancing/martial arts room in the back. I didnt realize what it was. It was raining outside, so I ended up sitting by this room. I felt like I as in a a rec room or community center instead of a restaurant.Overall, the restaurant had a dingy feel to it, like it needed a refreshing or deep cleaning.
Fantastic Brazilian food right on State Street! I ordered the P.F. with tri tip and it was awesome. They also have some delicious tropical juices.
This place is delicious but a bit overpriced. They have everything youd expect: meat and sausage or fish plates with rice and fried plantains and a little salad. Good stroganoff and Brazilian black bean stew. Great smoothies and juice bar too!
Great kids meals, grilled steak, steamed veggies and fried banana- win!
Try the coconut mango shrimp thing! Oh and the coffee is comparable to blue bottle, so its Super good.
Cool family-ran atmosphere. Traditional Brazilian food with burger and sandwich options with a Brazilian twist. All the beef is grass-fed and organic! Great healthy option with a cool draft and bottled beer selection.
Lots of great juices. The eggs Benedict is rediculously good. They also serve my favorite hot sauce in the world.
Looking for a good lunch thats not expensive in Santa Barbara then look no further. Had a grilled chicken sandwich which comes in a tasty baguette with chips. Great service and music also. Keep it up!
Food was ok, service was mediocre and the flies when the food was on the table awful.
Best meat ever had. Service was a little slow but otherwise it was very great for the price.
Great place and atmosphere
This place is the best!! The food is delicious, and its also a juice bar for when you just need a little snack or sip. Ive never had anything that I didnt like here.
Amazing place to eat, a must go to if passing through downtown
Excellent healthy organic food. The Brasil Arts Cafe has great food, beverages and service. Definetly recommend this restaurant.
Some dishes are rather heavy on the stomach and sometimes leaving flavor. Also wine isnt always the best. I used to enjoy it, but recently not so much. But overall you should give it a try.
Update: Staff used to seem knowledgeable and well-trained about gluten-free and cross contamination, and I didn’t get sick after eating here for the first 5 or so times (I have celiac disease and I am very sensitive to even minute amounts of gluten). That run was broken last night, when they were nearly empty. I’ve definitely been glutened. I had a salad and a BAC burger on a cheese bread bun.The Brazil arts burger on the Brazilian cheese bread bun is one of the most delicious burgers I’ve ever eaten in my life. They use local grass fed beef. Unfortunately, they never make enough of these buns and often sell out fairly early in the evening. Their smoothies are delicious, and they offer many interesting and exotic juices. The deep fried plantains are not gluten-free, so everything out of the fryer is unsafe. I had one waitress that knew this, and another that didn’t.
Great axxess deal 2 for 1 ! Authentic food. Good location near Arlington theater and Granada theater
Excelent. Good food. Very good customer service
Wanted to give it a zero. We waited for a greeter or a cashier for 10 minutes at the cash register to no help. Spotted the staff with a smile, no use. Asked them to be seated, no use. Reminded them that we were still waiting after 5 mins, no use.Ive never had to walk out of a restaurant due to lack of service.
The food here is amazing and they have a delicious and extensive juice bar and smoothie list. Great for a healthy breakfast smoothie or acai bowl, or a delicious dinner that is impressive but also casual. They have live music on weekends too!
Açaí bowl and the food was great! I loved the pao de queijoFriendly ownersClean and great músic!!
Terrible place for time conscious folks.. they made us wait at the counter for 20 mins.. we just left.. wasn’t even crowded much
The owners of Brasil Arts Café make a great effort to ensure their business runs great and handle any complaints properly.
Great food, really excellent smoothies and a lot of emphasis on organics which is really hard to find in a restaurant or cafe. it is also very kid friendly which i very much appreciate, both just the place and the food. really awesome spot.
The food here is always so delicious, well seasoned, and fresh. Its worth trying something different each time.
There are not many Brazilian places in Santa Barbara. This one is good. In the appetizers, we liked the Empadinha de Camarão and the Coxinha. In the mains, we had the Salmon and the Chicken Prato Feito, which were good, however nothing outstanding. The cupuaçu sauce for the salmon was rather bland. However, the star of the show was the Pão de queijo- the cheese bread. We may go back to this place just to have this gluten free bread! The bulletproof coffee and the Brigadeiro were decent. The restaurant seemed bit understaffed and the service was slow.
This restaurant is full of happy people and is in a great spot to have lunch or coffee outside in the sun! They have multiple dishes with seafood and coconut milk that are the best meals Ive had in SB!
Great drinks. Awesome Yuka fries
The authenticity of the offered dishes has decreased while prices have crept up, but it is still the best (only?) good Brazilian food in town.
Friendly staff, delicious, authentic Brasilian food, brigadoons to die for!!
Great food, service and ambiance! Pleasantly surprised!
The food is mediocre, yet priced for State Street. The staff is spotty, some kindish, some rude. I am shocked at the high star reviews....either those reviewers have low standards or the service in Brazil sucks as a standard. Also, there is no way this should be a seated service joint....they need to make it order at register. The table tops are sticky and gross. The highlight of my visit was my entire family having a good laugh at how much our server rolled her eyes, because (wait for it).....we asked for a plate. If this is anything like Brazil, well go to literally anywhere else.
