I dont typically write reviews but after being in the situation I was I thought this would help other searching for a trustworthy and honest auto body shop. John is not just a mechanic but he truly has a kind heart and will work with you to sort out any issue you have. Its rare to find people who dont just prioritize money but care about the quality of work they do and customers they serve. He turns a bitter situation to something more bearable and even something you can look forward to. Dont waste your time researching other auto body shops. When unfortunate things happen like accidents it can be extremely stressful!!Looking for an honest tradesmen is extremely difficult nowadays. I did my due diligence got six quotes. Not only was John from Anacapa the lowest price he was willing to give me a straightforward price.Most other companies were adamant about having to have the vehicle for a couple days and then they would give me an estimate, but they were not going to finalize the price until they were finished with the job. He gave me a not to exceed price and actually beat the price by $500 less when he completed the job and collected payment. The work he did was top notch and the price was unbeatable..I could not emphasize how honest and professional John was with us! I would highly recommend anacapa auto to anybody looking to have professional work done on there vehicle.Thanks Again John

It was my own fault that I hit a pole and put a large dent in my front quarter panel.The estimates from other shops were quite high as they wanted to replace the whole quarter panel. I saw Anacapa auto body had good reviews so I stopped by and met the owner John. He said that instead of replacing the quarter panel,he would repair it. They did a awesome job at a fair price and I would recommend them for any paint or body work.

Kisses to the chef. My group borrowed a car and the bumper went bye bye on a mountain we don’t know how to operate because we are from Florida. He helped us out immediately and and recommended food while we waited. The food made me sick but he did not. The car looks completely fine and he didn’t over price at all. Just returned from Anacapa Body and paint. Was there to get an estimate for body repair on my wife’s ML350. No need for the work now. John who I assume is the owner, pushed and pounded the body panels back in place in a couple of minutes. Then he showed me how to replace the tail light and do the touch up work. NO CHARGE! I’m so impressed to find such an honest business man and the way my wife drives I’ll need him again some day.

John is a great guy as is his daughter at the front desk, Kayla--hard working, and very sweet. They facilitated getting me my rental car, and even returned it for me when my car was ready. Skip going to a big, corporate run body shop and go here. You wont regret it!!!
