Many thanks to Cynthia Morales with the SB Auto Group. She was so helpful, and thanks to her I bought a car that I truly love. She helped me find a car that I thought would be out of the budget I set for a certified preowned car. The car was about 5 years old, but the original owner of the car had upgraded a lot of options, and so it ended up checking a lot of boxes my wife and I hoped for but seemed out of our budget. She was always prompt with getting me the info I was asking for and that says a lot because my friend who always helps / advises me with my car purchases had me ask some detailed questions. The process felt like lightening speed! Their team is AMAZING! I worked with Justin, who was very kind and polite, responsive and professional. They dont play games here, serious buyers and serious sales reps. Best part, I only had to drive up to pickup the car & sign. All documentation was taken care of remotely, without in-person visits.I drove all the way from Long Beach and I was in and out faster than the drive to the dealership. Wed like to thank Tony, Summer, and Nic for a stellar experience. This was an online purchase of a 2018 E-PACE. Tony was responsive and comprehensive in his answers to our questions, and the paperwork and process went quickly and smoothly when we drove down from the Bay area with our beloved (but much used) trade-in. The CPO vehicle was pristine, everything was as-promised, and the transition to our new (to us) Jaguar was smooth. The drive back north came at the end of a long day, but the experience was definitely worth it!

I spoke with a man who I believe was named Dave in Mercedes sales this morning 3/11. Perhaps he should consider a change of career because his attitude was far from conducive to closing a sale. He spoke to me like he did not have the time of day when I was hoping to lease a new vehicle as soon as possible. I expressed my distaste for his poor demeanor and he just said “Have a nice day!” Talk about customer service! It’s really unfortunate because my family and I spend $$$$s of dollars yearly in the service department with another employee who is an absolutely incredible guy. But, the sales department definitely won’t be closing any deals with any of us based on this experience.

I recently purchased an Autobiography Range Rover and I must admit I was nervous at first buying a vehicle from across the country. My salesperson, Sydney Wasem, was there every step of the way to guide me and answer each of my million questions lol. If something was missing or not as it should be he made sure it was corrected before the vehicle was sent to me and every promise he made he kept. To top it off the vehicle got delivered earlier than expected. I made a few changes to it but I’m loving every minute of this wonderful vehicle.

While I do not generally write reviews, much less negative ones, yesterday my girlfriend and I had such a unexpectedly poor experience at this dealership that we did feel the need to write a review. My girlfriend and I are Santa Barbara locals and after spending several weeks researching new cars prior to purchasing, we were down to the C300 and a BMW 3 series. Ready to test drive these two vehicles and make a purchase, we called the Mercedes-Benz dealership to ensure that no appointment was needed prior to arrival. We arrived early afternoon on Monday and were unable to find any parking as all the guest spots were full. My girlfriend went inside to ask where the best place to park was. She was told by the individual at the front desk casually said that he didnt really know what we should do as he had just started working there. After a few minutes he suggested that maybe we could drive up the street and park on the side of the road. Regardless, we ended up parking by the service department and getting out to look around the lot at the available vehicles. We walked around the lot for about 30 minutes. We did not see any other customers and no one came out to see if we needed help. As we did need to test drive the two vehicles prior to deciding and making a purchase, we went into the Mercedes show room to see if we could find someone to help us. We wandered around in the show room for at least 10 minutes. During this time, several salespeople could see us from their glass offices, did not seem to be with a client, saw us looking around for help, and did not make any attempt to get up to come help us. We hovered around in front of the offices trying to see if we could get someone to come out and help us but no one did. We did not ask the individual at the front desk for additional assistance given our experience with the parking situation. After no one acknowledged our presence we left. We ended up driving straight to Ventura and purchased a new 2021 BMW at a dealership there. While I certainly have no desire to be accosted by sales people when coming to a dealership, I do at least need someone to assist me so I can test drive a car and make a purchase. This was such a disappointing experience and as medical professionals in the Santa Barbara community we will certainly be sharing our recommendation to go elsewhere with our colleagues and clients.

Worked with Farid Azizi. There was little pressure which I didnt expect but was pleasant. I was on an escrow hold for some property and couldnt purchase for a couple weeks but knew exactly the vehicle I wanted. Once I was able to purchase, Farid had the car detailed and ready to go that day. I called when I was on the way and when I arrived I was out the door in the car within 30 minutes. I had never expected I could be in an out in less than 30 minutes but the way it was organized was awesome. Will deff be back. Thanks.

I took my car to the service for a duplicate key to be made and they didnt program the new key correctly and did other things to my car without my consent. The service writer was Dylan and he hasnt been helpful in explaining why they did other things to my car and not doing the key as I requested.I feel that SB Auto took advantage of me, because I lived so far away and cant come back easily. So they falsely documented that they did the work correctly, knowing that I couldnt bring my car back to them. I offered to pay them for the work they did, but they have resisted and didnt tell my credit card company the entire truth. I just want people to know what happened to me at SB Auto.

OK. Lets be honest, buying a car is not fun. Its haggling, negotiating, mental calculations and paperwork - for hours. In the end, hopefully you are paying what you can afford and driving off in the car that you wanted - hopefully. I have to say, after my experience at SB Auto Group, and specifically with Tony Clumeck, I have found a new way to purchase a car. 95% of the entire transaction took place over email or text. Tony was responsive, polite and professional. There was NEVER a hint of pressure. I simply told him what kind of car I was looking for and the payment I wanted, and he told me what he had and what he could do. He sent me links and pictures and I was able to do more research on my own and at my own pace. And, once I decided I wanted the car (and was trading in mine) he handled EVERYTHING without my needing to sit in a dealership for hours on end. I simply emailed or texted pictures of required documentation and, the next day, I drove over to SB Auto Group (Jaguar) and spent no more than 15 minutes cleaning out my old car, handing over my car keys, signing paperwork and getting the new keys. I spent more time getting introduced to the new car and its features than actually buying it! (Actually, I spent more time driving there from LA. LOL!) Tony and the entire staff (Nic and Darouny) were an absolute delight and I highly recommend them. They could not have made this faster or easier.

I recently had a leased gle mercedes amg 43 coming to a three year end.. i leased it from mercedes in santa barbara auto group. Awesome vehicle but i used to own a range rover sport supercharged v8. I never forgot that Range rover feel. I went to jaguar range rover in santa barbara Auto group. I Saw the slate blue (byron blue) and car i wanted and completed the hunt. Tony Clumeck is atop notch sales rep and human being with proud successfull years there . He set me up in the vehicle i wanted and had some paint work design change on wheels and other detail done for me.. great great efficiency and friendly very elaborate competence. I am very picky and detail oriented, with other car a rare jaguar xkr . Same awesome engine A week later i now have unique color design Range Rover sport supercharged v8. A great customer service is utmost feel. Very real .. Genuine ! Mat was assisting my service with great competence, and also was key alert to find this vehicle, and Nik instructed me on technology use. A Master at it . Tony and team make it easy and no hustle . I was looking for a specific Car, a 2018 Jaguar XF SportBrake (Wagon) Nationwide since they have become pretty rare, there are really no 2019s in the country, and Santa Barbara had the exact one I wanted, every available option. They had the only 2 I have seen with every available option. I decided to go with the CPO one since it had the extended Certified warranty, in addition to factory warranty of course, and only had 375 miles on it. They even let me extend the CPO warranty by 1 years so now Im covered for 6.5 years.The price was already such a great deal, much lower than any others I found and this one had more options, I didnt even try to negotiate and I usually like to try and negotiate on everything. Dealing with Don Lowry was such a pleasure, Im in Denver so had to buy this without seeing it in person, he sent me many pictures and videos in addition to the many online pictures I could already see from the ad. He stayed in touch constantly either by phone or text, even on his days off during the week. without me asking he made the sure was loaded carefully by the car hauler when they arrived on a Saturday, his busiest day of the week, but still made sure mine was taken care of.I was able to make the deal quickly once I decided to buy and process was very easy. It was only about a week and half from the time I decided to buy until the Jag was in my garage.

I sadly didnt have a good experience here, I called them and was in contact with the sales person before driving all the way from los angeles to make sure that the car was a good fit for me and that I could purchase it and drive it on my way back home.*We agreed on the one price, they immediately change the online price to the car to a higher price, I had to call again and they said that they would give me the agreed price.*When I arrived, the car wasnt cleaned/ready to be shown, it wasnt a big deal since they said they would clean it for me if it took car.*I did a drive test and decided to get it. But, I noticed that the car had 3,000 more that what it was listed for. They refused to give any deductions claiming that the cars price was higher now. (Even tho they were advertising the car with lower milles)*After paying for the car, they said I needed to wait for the car to be cleaned. I waited for almost 90 minutes, when they finally brought the car, I got the keys and left to my way back to LA.When I got home, I realized they dint put the floor mats/cargo cover back after they did the cleaning. I immediately called my sales agent, he apologized saying that he would mail them out (Mats and Cargo Cover) the next day.Well, its been two weeks, I have sent them a few emails and make several calls, last thing they mentioned was that they couldnt fid the mats and cargo cover and wouldnt take responsibility for it.I got an estimate from my MB local dealer for those items and it seems that I would have to pay a few hundred dollar to have them replaced.Really sad that they wouldnt take responsibility fo this, dont know it if was a mistake or they wanted to keep those items to resell them.

Tony was incredibly nice, very professional, and accommodating. They gave us both a fair price on the car (Toyota 4Runner TRD Pro) as well as the trade-in value of our car (Subaru Crosstrek). Were incredibly happy with our new car. We live in South Orange County, but due to the high demand for this particular model, we ended up driving all the way to Santa Barbara to check out the one 4Runner available at their dealership. We had no regrets and would do it again if needed (despite the distance, the drive back along the 101 with a clear view of the Channel Islands makes for a nice experience). Highly recommended.

Great place! Their customer service could not be better. I have historically avoided dealers for regular maintenance. But tho this may be a bit more expensive, the fact that they treat you so well makes it worth while! You can schedule your car online. I have always gotten a loaner...when they dont have one of their own cars they rent one for you at no charge from Enterprise. They clean and wash your car before returning it. The loaner and wash are themselves easily worth $75 every visit! They always inspect the vehicle no matter what else they are doing. The service managers are knowledgeable, friendly, recognize their regular customers, and treat us very well...sometimes just letting you pop in for an immediate issue...which is a HUGE benefit. And I by regular I dont mean every month but every 6 months. I even get to meet and know the mechanic that regularly works on my car. He knows me by first name and recognizes me around the dealership. That seems rare to me! I highly recommend this dealership to everyone!

While doing many online searches, I found a very particular used car I had been searching for at this Dealership. I was contacted immediately by Tony Clumeck. If they still had it, I would be driving all the way from Orange to Santa Barbara to check it out and didn’t want to drive all that way only to find that the car had been sold out from under me. We just purchased a Jaguar F-Pace S at Santa Barbara Auto Group and this was a fantastic experience! With Covid-19 and the distance from the Bay Area we had to do all the initial steps online and over the phone, and my salesperson, Sydney Wasem, was super nice to work with. Syd was very patient with me and all my initial questions about the car, very responsive and quick to follow up on everything, and he took the time to take many pictures of the car to help me get comfortable with choosing a car remotely. He is very knowledgeable about the F-Pace and the Jaguar brand in general. Once we decided to go ahead and drive to Santa Barbara to trade in our previous car and check out the F-Pace, he made the whole process super easy. The F-Pace was in top shape and all ready for us to take it for a drive. We just had to sign the documents, Syd and his delivery manager Nic Azzolina spent a lot of time sharing with us everything they know about this amazing car and the whole experience went super smoothly! Ive bought 17 cars and this was my best experience EVER!Even though their dealership is 350 miles from me (and I have a local JLR dealer 10 miles away), SBA earned my business big time.I was buying the brand new electric i-Pace which has a ton of features, so the sales team really needs to know their stuff.Mike, Sydney, Nic were knowledgeable, super responsive, and clear communicators. I have a very old Mercedes-Benz that I enjoy driving very much. Its a beautifully engineered automobile -- but the body and interior of my vehicle are in marginal shape (at best). My parents taught me that a persons character (or in this case, an establishments character) is best measured by how well he or she treats the least among them. Unfortunately, the folks at Santa Barbara Auto Group (on the Benz side, not the BMW side) seem annoyed whenever I bring my ugly duckling by to purchase parts. As such, when Im finally ready to purchase a new vehicle, if I choose to buy a Benz (or BMW or Audi), I doubt Ill purchase it here, despite my desire to keep it local.

Its a car dealership--not bad, but you dont always get the time of day from the salesperson. Theres a lot of turnover between the salespeople here as well. Watch out for their car wash services. The swirl marks theyll leave in your paint can be legendary...

My family and I went to SB Auto Group to buy a family vehicle. It was a great experience instead of a stressful one. Shane Koblis patiently helped us go through all the purchasing process. He was very polite, calm, and not a pushy salesman, which we appreciated well. Before driving the car home, he gave us a thorough tutorial which was very helpful since the vehicle was loaded. I would certainly go back there again to purchase my next car. They surely have excellent selection of awesome cars. The heart of a dealership is its service department, and the service department at Santa Barbara BMW is second to none. I recently had an unexpected issue with my car while my family and I were traveling through town from Long Beach to Carmel. Joe and his team kept our weekend getaway on track, and the repairs were completed in record time even with parts needing to be ordered. Since the parts would not be in the same day, he even helped arrange for a rental car so we wouldnt lose any more time. I cannot recommend this group enough. If you want a new car, you can get it anywhere — but if an issue comes up youll be glad you have gotten it from Santa Barbara BMW and have their service department there to help.

We just had a great purchasing experience. Tony Clumeck, our salesman, went above and beyond to help us out. We have been looking for a Denali a few months. Finally found a good deal and was ready to buy. However, we had our 1st child, 2 weeks ago, and live 3 hours away. Tony and his manager were very helpful and thoughtful with our situation. They ended up delivering the Denali and having everything ready for us to sign at our home. The Denali is exactly as described and we are very happy with the entire purchase. I am experiencing the greatest toy of my life at 78 years. Chris Palumbo, my sales consultant at SB Auto Group, found me a vehicle of great perfection that was in my affordable range, a 2017 Mercedes Benz Roadster, hardtop retractable convertible. It arrived as an impeccably kept, leased vehicle with two years left on its original 4-year warranty with 7,000 miles on the odometer. The way it corners and accelerates on the freeway, I have to remind myself Im not on what I used to drive, a motorcycle. Zooom, Zooom.Chris knew what I was looking for and very surprising to me, found exactly what my wife and I sought and within our price range. I can only thank him for what has become one of the great joys of my life ! I would suggest, that anyone looking for exactly what they want in a wished for affordable vehicle, to look up Chris Palumbo.

Purchased a 2016 Jaguar XFS from Ken yesterday. Ken was very professional and not your typical pushy car salesman. One of the things I dislike most in life is buying new cars because of the usual run-around you get from salesmen trying to make a commission. This place is not like that and I appreciated Kens help throughout the process. Without getting into detail, I will also say that there was a mistake made when they quoted me a bottom line price the day before. It was an honest mistake by a manager (not Ken) and when I went down to actually buy the car they realized it was a $4k mistake. Instead of trying to make me pay for it, they ate it and took it off the price of the car without even hesitating. Thats how I run my own business and its very refreshing to see someone else own up to honest mistakes and not make their customers pay for them. Great job guys, and we love our Jaguar!

I have taken both my Mercedes and Range Rover for service for a number of years. The last time I took my Mercedes for service was disappointing. During routine service my sunroof was checked-- the service person opened and closed it and the fabric ripped in the process. I rarely open it and it has never malfunctioned any way. I was told that because the car was just barely out of warranty the SB Auto Group would be generous and pay for the repair, which was quite expensive. I suppose if it had been a while out of warranty when THEY broke it I would be charged for the repair. I found this attitude off putting, to say the lest. I prefer dealing with people who take responsibility for what they do.

We just had an excellent experience yesterday with AJ Boumediene in the Mercedes Service Department. We pulled in with a dash idiot light problem. He got his Sprinter tech and the shop foreman out within minutes to help us. The problem was diagnosed and resolved within half an hour. We were totally impressed. AND they were NICE!

Absolutely disgusted with this business. We went to Acura and worked with Dave Andre and his manager mike hultberg. My husband is a mechanic (and was a car salesman for 5 years) so we did our BEST to make sure we were getting a good car for the right price. When we went to look at the 2006 Honda Odyssey they had only just gotten it in and it hadnt been through inspection yet. We test drove it and my husband pointed out the obvious problems (alignment was off routers were warped ect.) The agreement then was that they would take the car in for the FULL inspection and let us know ANYTHING/EVERYTHING that was wrong with it and from there we would either lower the price based on my husband doing the work himself or having the dealership do it. They came back and told us what needed to be replaced (nothing serious and nothing that we didnt already know about) so we decided to have the dealership do the work. When we went to pick up the car we stood in the parking lot for an hour inspecting the car to the best of our abilities. My husband asked if he could do his own full inspection of the car but was denied (that is when we should have run) Dave assured us he had paid the mechanics $1300 for the inspection and they would have no reason to not fix or acknowledge anything wrong with the vehicle. Being that weve always thought of SB Acura as a reputable business and in the almost 10 years my husband has been working as a mechanic/salesman he never has/would think to send a customer in a half functioning car with out their knowledge, so we had no reason to believe they would do that. However when our check engine light came on a few days later, we didnt expect it to be anything serious. However, when my husband ran tests/did an inspection we found that all 6 spark plugs needed to be replaced along with the whole timing belt/water pump system!!! This is not a cheap fix, even for a mechanic that can do the work himself. After confronting Dave we have had received nothing but attitude, and he refuses to own up to the fact that these are things that should have been checked in that $1300 inspection that the Acura mechanics supposedly performed. If that timing belt had snapped while I was driving I could have created even more problems for our car costing us more than it already is. I am blown away that such a well known dealership would have such horrible service. Never again will we be returning for business and I assure you our experience will be shared with many whom Im sure will feel the same.
